Incredible. Made an appointment with my Ford Dealer to adjust the windshield wipers on my Ford F150. They told me I had to leave the pickup overnight. I look up the instruction on your youtube and the result was a 3-minute adjustment. Thank you for your help and site.
2021 F150 - Almost started prying and so glad I took the time to do a little research first and super glad I found your video... the wipers were way too far up from the factory and the driver's side wiper was banging against the windshield frame. I adjusted both wipers in about 5 minutes and they are now in their correct positions. Thank you for this video!!!
Worked on my 2022 After mine was 2 days in the dealer for the wiper recall they handed it off to me with the wipers way higher than normal Saw this video and I can’t believe how easy it was if i had called the dealer probably 1 more day for them to figure it out Btw it’s brilliant the little clip my Mazda i have to pull out ratchets and tools just to get them out
Video was a big help. I actually moved the wipers on my 2005 UP - they parked so low on the windshield they were below the defroster vents in the dash and would constantly freeze up.
Awesome Suggestion!! Ever since I saw your video on this mine has drove me NUTS being so high! Just adjusted them today and it looks so much better! Thanks for the Videos 👍🏼
Hi Trace, It’s unfortunately not working with me. I am missing the step after removing the wiper. I try to adjust it but it won’t go back in unless it is in the same position it was before. Did you adjust the metal base where the wiper sits at all?
@@arefjadallah6141 Hey man! NOPE! You don't have to make any type of adjustment on the base at all AS LONG AS the wiper looks the same as in the video with a Spline Slot assembly i.e. the stub with alot of little grooves in it haha. If it is the same as in the video I would just keep playing around with it until it drops into place on a lower level on the windshield that you prefer :)

Nope! You're missing the shear pin so your video doesn't actually show how to adjust the angle, just a work-around for anyone willing to remove the shear pin.
So everyone that has said they adjusted theirs is a liar. No where did anyone mention that the shaft has a master spline and the arm only goes on one way.

This will work on the previous generation F150's as well. 2009-2014 f150's. Worked flawlessly on my 12'.
Great video.

Did you have to redo it with that little key that basically falls out by itself? Some day you need the key others you don't.
I did not. But I heard some have a little key (more of a guide) for instalation purposes only.
The alignment key is used for production only. The alignment key does not need to be reinstalled.
@@zr2far This is what I was worried about. I removed it and finally my wiper doesn’t bang the frame of my truck. I was afraid it was there for a reason and removing it would somehow damage over time or it wouldn’t stay on.
Without the key the very fine splines on the inside of the arm socket will wear down and the arm will start slipping on the driver shaft.
The key is missing from that square groove. That is what aligns the wiper and keeps it from moving. My keys on 2018 f150 fell out by themself!!!
Sorry everyone I was mistaken in that the keys are for production line alignment only and are not necessary.
Great info though. Thanks Gromer
Gomher not sure I’m buying that... Those splines do not look big enough to keep these from stripping w heavy snow on them...

There is a notch in the little gear with the teeth there is supposed to be a key in there. Not sure if I can reply with a vidjeo

Lower?? I want mine higher to keep them from being frozen all of the time.
Yours didnt have the key. That's why it was messed up.

There are pictures of the service manual on F150forum.com that say the “master spline” as you call it is used for production only and is not needed.
