Awesome stuff! Just something I’d like to point out, though starting the bag higher in the arc will cause it to go faster as it passes through the bottom of the arc, starting the bag higher won’t change its period, which means how long it takes for the bag to go from one side to the other and back. The period of a pendulum is affected only by its length The equation specifically is: Period of a pendulum = 2*pi*sqrt(L/g) where L is the length of the pendulum, and g is acceleration due to gravity, which we can reasonably assume is about constant near for us viewers on the surface of the Earth. All of this is to say, if you quadruple the length of the rope, you double the period. If you divide the length of the rope by four, you halve the period. Changing how heavy the bag is won’t affect its period, and neither will starting the bag lower or higher. Hope this helps anybody trying to change how frequently their bag sways back and forth!
I rarely post comments on RUclips, but I just had to say: wonderful video! Very informative.Thank you, Carlo! Greetings from a Moroccan who is learning how to box !
Great video. I recently had a bad car accident and have been trying to find ways to retrain my balance and hand-eye coordination. Dusted off my old slip bag.
Great video man been working on headmovement in the gym. Have you tried the red alibaba sparbar thats similar to hit n move. Wondering if its as good as the cobrabag from alibaba
Hi Carlo, Thank you for another outstanding instruction video on the Maize slip bag. Please keep up your great work! I have placed an order for a slip bag and will practice your techniques on it. Thanks again, Kenny Unpingco
Great job bro, mine is a rice bag... Tomorrow I will add sand for extra weight, I love it, a great tool, and yes... small movements saving energy is the name of the game! Great Vid, keep it up. Balkan Shipyards
8 division champion. Truly up there. Manny's shoes are the shoes hanging way up on the highest power cable right outside of the gym. You run past them everyday, you look up at them before you enter the gym. You rest outside after roadwork laying on the sidewalk, staring up at them. It's going to take hunger to think of climbing that telephone pole to even read the letters on them sneakers.
Are you using a mirror in this vid? I’m new to the slip bag and I think a mirror might help me get better. What’s your opinion on using a mirror when using the slip bag?
I wonder if I could use the 15lb Aqua headhunter bag and fill it with half water and half air and use it as a slip bag than just add more water when I want to use it as a punching bag. Making it a duel purpose bag.
@@csquaredboxing Thanks for replying! but is it better to just have a partner throw punches at you to work on getting good at slipping or you should use both as they both have different advantages?
As someone who trains in an area with a relatively short ceiling, how high would I need to hang the bag to get good usage? Also, would you recommend a traditional slip bag or the aqua headhunter bag?
just got this bag. but seems like the swing is slower than the Amato's bag. Could it be the chains make it slower? Should i switch the metal chains for some rope?
Hello. I am thinking about getting this ringside bag. I saw reviews that said it was too light and that it didn't swing well because of the chain. Is this your experience? Would you recommend this one? I saw also saw one from Boxerpoint on Amazon that seemed small but I'm trying to choose between these two. Finally, what about chain length? Do you find it adequate? Any help is appreciated and Thanks for the video!
@@csquaredboxing I am finding the ball goes side to side eventually no matter how straight I push it. I think its the hook that causes it. If the chain was longer I could just mount the chain to my post itself but its too short. I was looking at slip vids of Tyson and there was a chain guard so I might look into that.
Awesome stuff!

👍🏼🥊
Won’t making it heavier help it retain its momentum longer? So that you don’t have to touch it as often
Love how you include the history and are very comprehensive with your video!
Damn Carlo, are you a mind reader? My coach is having me work on head movements using this exact ringside bag. Great video as always.
Thanks man
Very good video
I love using this bag. One of my staples when training.
🥊👍🏼
You did a nice job my man!!! I was over thinking it! Thank you
It’s a good tool to keep you moving but in my opinion partner defensive drills help the most in creating realistic and fast paced situations
Agreed
It’s more muscle memory. It helps when you put it into real use while sparring.
its mostly for adding to your shadow boxing
Just got this same bag its a very good thing to have when training for boxing
I rarely post comments on RUclips, but I just had to say: wonderful video! Very informative.Thank you, Carlo!

Happy Filipino American history month. Do a video of the top Filipino boxers and who’s your thoughts on who’s going to fill the shoes of Manny. ✌️

Have you tried the Title boxing leather vintage maize bag? Its pricey but its my favorite bag.
Not yet but maybe soon
I love your videos, good information bro.
Thank you
What would you recommend to buy the double end bag or the slip bag?
Both
Awesome vid!! thank you!
No prob 👍🏼
I need to start this up
💯👍🏼
Nice job! Thank you.
Thanks
Continue bro with nice videos
Thanks
I was about to order this too. 😂
Nice
what are your thoughts on the swinging bar? do you think it’s better for dodging?
The spar bar seems better
"you're not slipping a school bus." lmaooo great vid
lol thanks
Are you using a mirror in this vid? I’m new to the slip bag and I think a mirror might help me get better. What’s your opinion on using a mirror when using the slip bag?
Both. With and without a mirror is useful. Mirrors are good to watch your movement and correct technique and fundamentals
I wonder if I could use the 15lb Aqua headhunter bag and fill it with half water and half air and use it as a slip bag than just add more water when I want to use it as a punching bag. Making it a duel purpose bag.
You probably could
@cssquaredboxing Is the slip bag just a nice to have tool? Or would you say its essential if you want to get good at slipping?
Essential
@@csquaredboxing Thanks for replying! but is it better to just have a partner throw punches at you to work on getting good at slipping or you should use both as they both have different advantages?
As someone who trains in an area with a relatively short ceiling, how high would I need to hang the bag to get good usage? Also, would you recommend a traditional slip bag or the aqua headhunter bag?
Have it between the chin and shoulders that's where the punches are coming from
just got this bag. but seems like the swing is slower than the Amato's bag. Could it be the chains make it slower? Should i switch the metal chains for some rope?
You should try the peekaboo slip bag movement it’s much easier
Ok

Works perfectly fine for me

Hey Carlos, currently I'm all my training at home but I train barefoot. Do you think boxing shoes would be a good addition?
Love your videos.
Absolutely
I just got a cheap one off amazon, thinking about filling it with rice 🤔
That works too
@@csquaredboxing For sure. Wasn’t sure if it’d be enough weight.
