On point video my guy! Super thorough as always. Been back and forth on whether to install a heavy bag in our home gym but after seeing this, I honestly think this would serve more of a purpose. Super universal piece of equipment to work on defense, offense and foot work. Again, great post!
I picked up the 14x20 in large part thanks to this review. Mine weighs in at 37.5lbs with cracked corn, I could squeeze it to 40 but I’m happy with where it is, even though I expected to want to fill it to 50+ (garbanzo beans are what most people seem to use that get it into the 50s). At a lower weight you get a nice amount of swing to slip vs the absorption of punch against the material. The addition of the rubber/foam padding inside was genius too. Pretty sure this is the most useful, fun bag I’ve ever owned and I’ve been recreationally home boxing for 25 years. I prefer this so much to the heavy bag already. It’s perfect. I think I’m going to pick up the 6x9 version as a slip bag and just grind on those and the double end for awhile. Thanks again for this review, folks need to not sleep on this maize bag.
@@ff2364 not sure since I just got it but corn kernels are resilient. Seems cracked corn is the lighter weight, then corn in dryer kernel form, and garbanzo beans heaviest if you want to get it into the 50s.
Came across this channel a few days ago. Love it! Reviews are top notch! I subbed. Tractor supply has 50# bags of cracked corn grains & whole corn kernel's for $14.99 & $13.99.
Hey Carlo, may want to check out the Title vintage maize bag as well. Filled with plastic beads for a unique feel similar to corn. Love your reviews! Pointed me towards some awesome gear as a beginner!
I'd like to second your note about going to a local place to get corn. Granted, I am in Ohio where there is certainly no shortage of corn, but a 50lb bag of whole or cracked corn is usually a tad under $10 around here. Makes this bag even more appealing when you can fill it that cheap.
@@csquaredboxing if you had to pick one to buy (price not being a factor) would you get this or the Title Mammoth Smash Double End? I’ll probably end up getting both eventually, but which should I get first?
I've been waiting since day one for this review! Do you have a preference between the Rival microfiber vs the nazo/prolast bag coverings? I bought a 15 pound prolast hybrid slip/heavy bag a couple of months ago from Amazon for $75, shipped and filled. My intentions were to use it similarly to this bag. Keep up the great content.
How often do you change the cracked corn? My biggest concern is the Florida Summer Heat in my Garage and if it will attract unwanted insects or pest. I assume the nylon bag is washable after use. Prefer the authentic feeling don’t know how acrylic beads would feel. But I really want to purchase this bag. Any tips?
Hey man I’m looking into a rival 250lb freestanding bag have u ever messed with one ? There are no videos anywhere in the net and don’t know if I want to drop 1k on something can’t find a review on
This or Vali Nista Headhunter?? or both lol This seems nicer to hit especially with no gloves. Rival better on joints but do have to hit harder to get it going and is more heavy bag like for power shots. Vali is firmer, moves a lot more and is a smaller target. Can also use less effort to move and the quickness of the firm bounce to land quick less powerful combos is appealing. I think I need both lol
Hey carol do you recommend the hayabusa H5 over the venom impact? I’s the H5 the best 100$ glove If not what do you recommend I’m wanting a 16oz glove so I can punch as hard as I possibly can
@@wiseworksfitnessMine guys came in today and I naturally seem to have hung it similarly as in the video. When in fighting stance the letter “I” in the RIVAL with the R at the top is at nose height for me too.

Agreed, a very underrated bag and a much better feel/ experience when landing punches IMO. Feels more realistic and also better for your joints.
@@dukesilver6786 I think I have about #45 in whole corn. I am going to remove 5# for a little more movement but it’s so fun
@@dukesilver6786 mine was 47 pounds filled with while corn. I took 5 pounds out and it’s perfect now
Does the corn last or does it slowly grind to a powder and need to be replaced?

What are you using to hang this bag? I don't hear any chains.
Is there any other bags you could recommend that are similar but cheaper as I have a small budget but want the same experience. Thanks
Can you use it out in the direct sun or will you eventually be hitting a bag of popcorn? 😅
Can you show the mounting process? Did you have to screw it into a stud, etc.?
Can you do videos on how to drill with this bag

This one, mainly because you can fill with your own corn and the padding panels feel great to punch
@@csquaredboxing Thank you for the perspective!
The interior padding deadens the impact and pop. I pulled mine out.

Solid!

Will you review the new everlast elite 2.0 boots
Hopefully soon
Thanks much appreciated love your channel
Love mine, its great.

does dried corn attract bugs like rice does? is dried corn heavier than rubber mulch?
I’m not sure tbh, it may, but I haven’t had problems with mine
Rubber mulch adds up and is more rigid. Go for the MAIZE
It you could only have one bag, would this be it? Very versatile
It would be up there yes
I practice muaythai do you think i can hit with my elbow on this ? Or i gone break the fone and the sewing .
It’ll be fine
Mine comes tomorrow!
So far this is a fun bag. Do you hang this a little lower to work slipping etc?
