- Hi everyone, my name is Gordon Ryan. This is a look into my life. If you enjoy it, watch it. If you hate it, watch it. If you don't want to watch it, I don't care. I'll be rich and famous either way. Enjoy ❤️

It would be awesome to get a video like this with some commentary over the top of it, explaining their thought processes and what they are trying to achieve!
That’s every Gordon Ryan instructional, at least an hour of rolling footage with commentary. Worth it.
He is just expressing ultimate Chad alpha male dominance by not even trying
I guess you're not a monkey see, monkey do type lol
Sydney West Martial Arts has a great breakdown on there RUclips!
Super slow and careful iso rounds. No rough play. Taking time to figure out every stuck spot. This is the way to train. I thought I was rolling slow and flow, but now I realize that I can take out way more energy and effort.
Just posted the same thing. That’s how we all should be training.
That’s some black belt rolling 😅
Gordon really is on another level. The subtle nuance in his game are incredible to watch.
Great music.
Good stuff. 🙏
More rolling content please!
Jiu Jitsu ASMR. It felt like an 18 min meditation session
Absolutely right!!
I am a white belt in BJJ. I started about eight months ago. I love your channel. Thank you for the videos. I really learned a lot from the one where you trained the world’s strongest men.
Hang in there. There will be ups and downs. There will be plateaus and learning curves. Hang in there.
Awesome choice of background music - made the roll even more enjoyable/graceful to watch/learn/study🙏
Imagine being an elite grappler and Gordon is treating you like a blue belt props for everyone that’s willing to roll with him on camera 😂
That last detail was huge, coming up first. Love it.
Gordon seems like a good and humble training partner. Let's people get a lot of things on him
Man that last detail for defending outside heel hook is so good.
That is some of the smoothest rolling I have ever seen. Playful even. Perfectly in zone 2 heart rate. The most maximized way to develop myelin. I had to destroy 3 blue belts at full effort (old man brown belt here) this morning. What I wouldn’t do for 45 minute rolls like that.
This is great for thinking and longevity
Yea this is good content. Ive been preaching about Gordons mat IQ since way before anyone knew who he was. If you watch this exchange although they aren't going hard you can see Gordon is always several steps ahead. He does a LOT of what Roger used to do as well. ie: that omoplata escape, head diving in towards the crotch, classic Roger. Just insane mat IQ here. He is playing chess and most people are playing Checkers. Also note, Gordon isn't even in top shape here. Just another level.
You need to take a cold shower, bud
@watermelontreeofknowledge8682 right? Guy thinks he's special for identifying that Gordon Ryan is good at jiu jitsu
@@jameswilsonmusic7749 He said "way before anyone knew who he was" to be faire to him
Gordon Ryan’s infinitely good at Jiu Jit-su.
You are infinitely bad at spelling Jiu-Jitsu.... Also, Gordon is never gonna let you suck the tip bro.
Awsome way to learn - slow down
7:18 Gordon acknowledge a good heel slip. World Class jiu jitsu
I much prefer this type of rolling footage than two 20 year olds backflipping over each other.
Make a pure rolling Roy Dean style, please.
I hope the KING is back - specifically for CJI 2025 team battles.... Please jitz gods let that happen
Lol he will never compete in cji ya goof
@@prepsforlifeZ Doubt he will compete properly again.
@@kenn3250 I believe he might do a couple fights more at wno and call it day
@@Threewlz yeah maybe. I don't know who else there is for him to have a match with? Confident we won't see him against Nicky Rod or anyone else genuinely dangerous
@@kenn3250 indeed, also his health issues really had a toll on him anyway
Dima and the B Team... we know you're watching..
New wave should release rash guards - many people would want one
It's happening
Future kimonos kinda does it for them
This is awesome
he would be a great addition to your team.
Lot of good stuff here, but I think the one thing that struck me most is the calm focus, almost relaxation, in really bad positions. I wish I could do that...
lol yea man these are chill rounds. Not adcc comp kill rounds. Even with those you can get there just over time. I roll with pro comp guys a lot. Just relax, lock in and let you jits work.
You can!
This is art, thank you.
Supporter here and subbed.
I would really have liked to get a little more detail on how they structured that round, how they developed goals, why they were switching top bottom etc. Some detail on how to achieve training like that would be really helpful for this old 10y bjj practitioner who really wants to get more productive time on the mats.
unfortunately its hard to convince anyone to train like this at my gym no matter how conducive it looks. :/ any advice?
It’s super difficult. After 16 years and as a black belt, I think it has to be cultural, and usually from the top down. If there aren’t good grapplers at your school that also grapple like this (maybe not all the time, but often enough for people to see) then that helps a lot. Or find a like-minded training partner or two, and train like this together, as much as you can. A longer route is to try and roll like this yourself even against people that don’t. It can take a lot longer to not get pushed around, and there will be many trying times, but it’s super rewarding. A helpful tip can be to not think if it as a “flow roll”. Think of it as a “slow roll”. You’re still trying to win with all of your effort, focus, and technique. But you’re just trying to drive the car under the speed limit, so to speak. This might not help at all, but I hope it helps a little bit! FWIW there’s hope, because more people are training like this than when I started training.
@@DrewDarce I was doing this against people who wanted to go all out and it still seems to work out. you just end up in less dominant positions more often but you get wayy better at finding any cracks in armor no matter what people are doing (and defending your own cracks).
Very hard to find the right training partners. After 19 years, as a brown belt, seeing hundreds of schools - it’s the rarest thing in bjj.
I train every Sunday at renzos for an open mat. It's extremely difficult. Im old school, so we focused on partial training, the majority of the people that roll there won't. They're there to roll and not get tapped. What gordon is doing is specific training, this is how your game improves
Nice to see fundamentals shine. It would be such a cool thing to have training partners to flow with like this.
GR is a beast.
Gordon the ultimate Chad doesn't even do jiujitsu when rolling 😂
Muito bom, Gordon. Abraços diretamente do Brasil. OSS!!!
John sitting there like a silent killer
Would be cool to do some narration as you roll to explain your decision making processes Gordon. Great video footage and all the best for 2025!
Please give us more rolling videos. Im a purple belt and I wanna learn from you
I would really love to train with John and Gordan. Which gym does the training take place in? I’m seriously excited about the idea of coming to the US for a few weeks to train with the best.
Love it when Gordon uploads something quality.
keep em coming
Wrestling Ryan looks like wrestling a Rubik's cube.
Quer ficar bom, treine com os melhores!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
9:50 👏👏👏
Thks !
that kimura is insane..👊
You is From Brazil🥋🔥Oss
5:32 awesome reaction to the hip switch.
To the slow motion backstep
@ well yeah they are flow rolling but it still is a good counter/technique.
Gordon Ryan vs Patrick Gaudio Full Flow Rolling Round*. Wish we saw a turned up session
We already saw how that went.
their sport isn't the most flattering with two men but it should say full flow blowing round.
@@vigorelanskap1405 Ain't nothing gay about two men sensually rolling around together as a bald dom watches on. Typically it's Gordon who likes to watch from the sidelines though.
You probably more to learn from watching this than watching them scrap
Was thinking the opposite. I love the slow intentional movements here while both guys are getting technique work in and still able to breath at a relaxed pace. Imagine how many fewer injuries people would have with more of this mixed in with the full bore rolling.
Gordon Ryan VS Chimaev
NoGi
More rounds!
17:35 is A1 advice
The knowledge in this is wiiild
Is he joining the team or just visiting?
Apparently he's from new wave now
@@thomasp.898 he is still gft, he posted on his instagram about it
I believe he joined a few months ago.
If you can’t beat them, join them.
Transitions from 7:00 is gold
this is what we love😍😍
awesome music vibe btw
Cool rolls 😎 🤙 Thanks for sharing this!
Gord why is the video quality so low?
CJI 2 is going to be wild😂
Amazing athlete. Wild though, JD is right: you can tell by even how he walks that he isn’t athletic at all. So impressive
Can anyone explain why gordan grabs the wrist with a palm up grip at around 1.05 when going for the overhook triangle.
Iv always used a palm down grip (with my baby finger near their hand).
Iv noticed gordan doing this from standing too
What was the rounds theme ?
Pls more
"Hi everyone, my name is Gordan Ryan" lol never heard of em
That kimura trap series was 💪
Roll starts 2:25
I would love to do a training like this with the king... sick
Nice video
Nice!!
It’s like watching the great chess master
You finished your sleeve, nice
I'm not sure how you ended up in my recommendations......
lol at 14:28 Gordon says, "yeah, no thanks." and just slides those legs off like nothing.
This is the polar opposite of the B team training lol. If you have an absolute specimen that is not winning by grinding, then more grinding is obviously not the way, - better Jujitsu is. You need to be able to do both is the answer.
Cool!
Gordan, you should work with George St. Pierre and have him teach you takedowns - then you'd be completely unbeatable
I've been training with George for almost 15 years lol
5:00 sleepy Danaher
Great!!!!
🔥
You have to be really good in order to roll this light, and yet have the techniques that work work, and the ones that don't work not work. Not sure this makes sense...
I'm sure they find a way to make it work. They are exploring positions with eachother and experimenting. They are giving eachother advantageous positions to figure things out. They know whats up
FLOW

Hey Gordon
Will we ever see you in mma Gordon?
I understand it now 😏
This guy looks different in every video I see.
Bro are you gonna be in CGI this year
💎
11:50 WTF
“KUZUSHI”
First Bodoni then meregali now gaudiho 😮
If you can't beat them, join them
Following this same line of reasoning, I recently joined the special Olympics.
❤
Beautiful, controlled, flowing, technically brilliant grappling at New Wave.
Meanwhile Bee Team go 100 miles per hour, with the top guys avoiding each other and instead building their W’s on blue and white belts
Gordon have you ever thought of switching back to the Gi? You should win some IBJJF black belt world titles and become the all time jiu jitsu GOAT, not just no gi
I think he already is to be fair…
@GingerMate-e2d I don't see how he has a better case than Roger at this point. Roger is a 10x IBJJF champ and has 2 Adcc gold medals with a similar win and submission percentage as Gordon, plus the iconic victory against Buchecha.
I think if Gordon goes back to the Gi and dominates he could overtake Roger, especially considering how differentiated gi and no gi has become at the top levels
All the gi tests for steroids so dude would have to try for natural, probably had that ship sailed
Ibjjf is a major step down in competition.
What? Do you actually follow gi jiu jitsu? It’s arguably way harder to be the goat gi then no gi .. as The gi circuit has 100x more competitors ( no gi is just a entertainment n super fight thing where the cash is , it’s a niche..theres gi tournaments that have 10 000 competitors like jj con).. this breeds a crazy amount of competition for every major. Your also gonna be facing tons of upcoming newly promoted black belts every event like when Lucas lepri took his first loss in years to newly promoted Levi jones Leary
The top gi guys fight 100+ matches through their career some hitting 200 Felipe Andrew hulk etc hitting over 250 matches
Meanwhile top no gi guys barely break 10 matches a year
Gi has also existed MUCH,MUCH LONGER. The technical development is way ahead and there’s been many dominant champions
i want to see someone list every technique by time stamp that would be incredibly long.
John Danaher is soooooo smart
Rematch Dillon Danis, dude is a clown but he is the only man that took you to the limit on the mat - these other dudes are bang average
The only dude? Gordon literally went to decision with xande same tournament
I think it would be amazing to see you switch to the gi and prove once and for all that you’re the greatest grappler of all time.
O cara é igualzinho ao Nick Ryan kkkkk
