A little bit of silicone sealant on the nylon washers will help hold them into place while assembling.

I did too, had to tap them out, I'm a mechanic by trade and had a set at home

Watching this because I plan on buying a Longmill soon and seeing what I am getting myself into... Would it be a little easier to mount the Z axis motor before mounting the Z axis assembly on the X axis rail, just not tighten the setscrew? Might be a little less fiddly.

Yes, you can definitely do that Paul 👍 We mostly kept all the motor mounting to the same part of the assembly so that it's less confusing for those who felt intimidated by putting their CNC together

JUST STARTED PUTTING MINE TOGETHER LAST NIGHT AND RAN INTO AN ISSUE, I HAD 2 OF THE Y AXIS GANTY HOSE DRILL, NOT TAPPED, I WAS ABLE TO TAP THEM OUT AND FINISHED THE STRUCTURE, IF IT WASN'T FOR YOUR VIDEO, WARNING TO LOOK OUT FOR IT, I WOULD HAVE NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, THANKS

Have the non-tapped holes been fixed yet? Deciding on getting this machine.

I just thought it'd be worth mentioning in the rare case it happened - I think we've only seen it happen twice in over a thousand

I got a torque wrench, do you have a recommendation for how tight to torque those bolts?

Hello, i believe the Z axis motor could be mounted on before assembly of x to y axis? just a thought.... but it went on simpler than i anticipated.

Yes that's totally doable - we just kept all the motor mounting in the same place to make the assembly a little less confusing 👍

Hello, there is no whip on the leadscrew, when machine is in rapid mode? :)
And what is the max speed on MK2? 5000mm/min? :)

The default speed the firmware is setup with is 4000. There should be no whip at that speed. There is no limit to what you can set it to, but we’d advise to keep the speed under 5000. Thanks for your question.

This is painful to watch, need to edit it down to 1/10 the time.

There's an option to speed up the video as well built into RUclips if its too slow for you
