    As a new purchaser of MK2, I like that you have taken the time to do something beneficial for us, such as giving us the file to run and learn about the machine while allowing us to make a mistake on a project setup without spending additional money for broken bits. This thinking is what makes you a better company than the others.

    Wow - this is great, and just in time. Work holding has always been an issue for me, and free files and the detailed explanation make this all worth it.

    Thanks so much. I’ve had my machine 6 weeks and have never had such a smooth project. I pulled the dxf into vcarve, realized I didn’t want to redo the paths because of the bolt head countersink on those 4 knobs. Only thing I would add is a pdf/doc showing layout dimensions and safe clamping (I used the vcarve measure tool, maybe you had specs somewhere I missed). I ended up sending it straight to gsender. Thanks a ton, look forward to more of these.

    Scott - made some. Files worked GREAT! However, where the heck did you get the fully threaded 2" bolts?? I can't find them anywhere in K-W. Thanks

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 года назад

      Glad the files came in handy! The bolts are actually the pillaged from the clamps that came with the T-Track set from Sienci. But I've heard most big box stores carry them pretty regularly!

    Scott, thanks for the video and the files! I opened the file in VCarve, but none of the toolpaths are showing, is that typical? Thanks!

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 года назад

      if you imported as a DXF, then you have just the raw vectors. You can make the toolpaths manually the way you want them from there, or you can use the pre-made gcode also included in the folder.

    very cool, would like to try today. Which file is for the gsender?

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 года назад

      Hi Michael, if you check the video description for the link of "Gcode and DXF File Links" you'll find a file named ".5 in Workholding ALL.gcode" and that's a g-code file you'll be able to run directly in gSender 👍

    Where can I see the individual item sizes so I know what will fit on my scraps? THX Scott

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 года назад

      Hey, we forgot to put the exact dimensions but we'll check them and add them. In the meantime, when you import the file, you can see the size preview in gSender which should help check if your material will work!

    Hi, I'd love to try making these clamps as my first project. When I click on the link for the files, it just opens up Google drive and I don't see the files anywhere. May just be my inexperience with Google drive, but I'd love some help to download these files. Thanks

      Sorry about that @cathyk1107 - We've been revamping some of our storage systems and some files got moved. Here's the link to all the clampy goodness! Can't wait to see what you make with them!

      We're not perfect and neither are these clamps - it was more just to come up with something new and encourage CNC owners to use their on-hand tools to serve their own needs if they didn't want to buy pre-made solutions :)

  • @I_love_liberal_tears

    These are great clamps if your not using a dust boot. Unfortunately my dust boot hits the clamps when running files because the clamps are to big

    • @SienciLabs
      @SienciLabs  2 года назад +2

      We hear that. It does depend on how much extra material you have around your project too. We've run into the same thing. Sometimes they're great, sometimes not so much. It's all about picking the best solution to solve that particular "problem." Enjoy!
