      Everyone was taking lot's of ecstasy and attending mad raves every weekend. That constant cycle of intense highs and subsequent comedowns added a sense of melancholy to a lot of hardcore rave.

      Mate..... best days of my life 91-93,but as soon as jungle came it I gave it up . To many gangs started coming in . Spoiling the vibes but it was good while it last.

    Was this really 91 .if so then yes very ahead of its time.and i would say bukem was making drum and bass all through the hardcore and jungle era.we called it intelligent at time.

      @@dariushunter6792 although i agee it was considered hardcore at the time.bukem was formulating his unique sound pretty early.music,atlantis(i need you) came into the hardcore/darkside era but were definitely a bit different to most of the stuff around at time.

      ⁠​⁠@@dariushunter6792yes this is breakbeat hardcore but this track set the foundation for jungle and dnb. As the break pattern has similarities and in most cases with the first track in any genre it isn’t always going to fit the description 100%

    Fucking love this riddim!! It's not ahead of its time as some people have said on this thread....this is a straight up Hardcore banger typical of its time and just a wicked track man! The flip is more forward looking, but this side is the ONE! Glad I bagged this on vinyl way BITD!

      Plenty of forerunners to this. Not close to being the ‘first’. It’s a great track with the classic components and structure. Check out Shades of Rhythm’s Exorcist that was made a year before this. Lennie de Ice’s We are IE, A Guy Called Gerald’s Anything, Meat Beat Manifesto’s Radio Babylon.

      I've only just recently started ripping / uploading my vinyl again on here. I ripped Reprise the other day with a mind to uploading it but no point now after reading this! It is odd that they let this one stay on but have issue with the other 2 mixes? Not that i want them to take this one off too of course!
