Yes, the bonnet they included is something a lot of black people wear to protect their natural hair. While they don't all look like head wraps, I love that they included it in the set.
Somehow, I was completely left out of the loop of Claudie leaks and just found out about her last night from a Claudie Opening video. But I’m actually so glad i didn’t see any of the leaks! I’m in love with her! She is so cute!
It's definitely modernized but I still think it's so cute! At first I hated her mold but after seeing her in videos she looks way cuter! I love the glitz and glamor in her collection!
It’s annoying they vary doll sizes. I cannot fit any of my older dolls into newer clothes. It would be super disappointing if you can’t use Claudies clothes on any other doll
Loved your review! I ordered Claudie and the blue dress with the fur coat. I'll wait on her accessories or another outfit, hopefully they will go on sale.
They probably won’t go on sale for a while but occasionally ag has promotions like triple points so that would be a good time to purchase those items. Let me know how the quality of the white jacket is
I am glad that the face mold is different then all of the others. The doll is so pretty and I love her whole collection. But I am not getting anything. Life happens. My favorite piece is the bed. It is best that I wait until all of the hype goes down. Because, even Courtney’s things and clothing went on sale, when the hype went down. I don’t know if the Makena mold will be reused,as it wasn’t that popular. Though I love the painted on lashes on any doll.
I really don’t like the “flapper” dress and both of the gold outfits. They were designed by real fashion designers like the world by us outfits, so they are supposed to be more modern. I really wish for her release we’d have more historical outfits, however the flapper dress is a good way to somewhat give her a flapper dress since she is a little girl. I’m happy they didn’t put fringe in the dress since that’s historically inaccurate for flapper dresses. I do like some of the pieces themselves, but not as part of her collection.
Oh it is? I haven’t researched 1920’s fashion that much. I wish they included a few more historical 1920’s outfits in her collection but I enjoy 2/3 outfits
I'm hoping they will eventually. If not, I have a stack of patterns in my Etsy wish list that will keep me satisfied .I have to say, I'm not really surprised that AG partnered with HR to make those flapper dresses. They are iconic of the 20,s even if they weren't realistic everyday wear for everyone, and AG does have a habit of adding iconic outfits to collections, even when they aren't appropriate for that character.
I'm excited ❤💗💖 She is so cute. Some things about her I'm just like meh not too sure about the painted eyelashes. The Bakery is sooo cutee but I heard it's a bit cheap. The style it has to it is nice. Lots of food!!! The golden outfit looks like some Inca princess/goddess. The story sounds very interesting. It does sound a bit like kits I agree. I like the colors of her meet dress. Her hair is cuteeee 🥰. She does seem very childish mold. Thanks for sharing
Yeah one thing AG does with a lot of big ticket items is make them out of cardboard, so I think that’s why it’s cheap. There seems to be some plastic details on it like an oven though
Ahhh your Melody is always so pretty! I think the bakery is adorable but literally like you said there’s nowhere I could put it and it’s really expensive. I ordered her but I’m not crazy about her meet outfit so we’ll see how I feel once she gets here 💛💛💛
For clothing sizes, I just put my Pleasant Company Kit doll in the Claudie flapper dress and it fit her just fine (I was so nervous it wouldn't fit anyone but Claudie). I will say I'm disappointed in the quality though, the jacket especially - it looked like it was going to be so fluffy and soft online but it isnt really soft and feels like Barbie quality. Still a cute outfit, though.
@@Happyland1971 they do exist. They were released during the transition period so the original kit dolls still have the pleasant company logo on the back of the neck so they were owned by Mattel but have the pleasant company stamp. They’re still Mattel so they’re not rare or anything but still
So I made an honest opinion video on Claudie the day she came out, and for the really glittery gold outfit, I said it kinda reminds me of the Incan princess from the new Dora movie 😂
@@AllycatlovesAG even though when the Dora movie came out I had long since outgrown Dora, but I watched the movie because some people I knew said it was good, and it actually was pretty good
I think she's so cute, and I did order her. I love every one of her outfits so I just have to figure out how to budget for them, LOL. I probably won't be getting the scooter, bed, or bakery because I don't have room, but I think her bakery is awesome (although I agree, the brown sugar looks like glitter, why?)
I was surprised at how much I liked Claudie's collection. I had expected more drop waisted dresses, and really didn't think they would do the flapper style stuff. Once I saw it was a Harlem Row Collab, that made sense. I do think the flapper items are really cute, at least the blue and gold dresses. I am really skeptical about the quality, so I will wait and see how others feel. I can hardly wait to get her ( I collect historical) and it will just be a matter of what kind of space and budget I have in regards to what else I buy in the near future.
UGH I love claudie sm, and i really wish AG would open a European store so I actually could get my hands on her):< I can’t order from the website and it’s been almost a week, and no one has put her up on eBay 😭😭 Lmao mini rant aside, love your channel and I agree with most everything u said!
I kinda feel like WBU was yet another modern doll with community center focus (Gabi and Marisol anyone) and now Claudie is another girl who dances (Gabi, Isabel) and the boarders and report elements give me major Kit vibes. I'm a writer so I'll check out the book but I have no plays to buy it.
I love this video, Ally❤️ Claudie is very adorable, but her face mold is not my favorite. She looks like a baby doll to me. I love the headpiece on the fur trim outfit😍 I agree that American Girl has overdone it with the pink colors, so her color palette is very refreshing😂 ~ sav🤍
I don’t love her face mold just because, i agree, it makes her look very childish, and in my opinion, it would look odd among the other dolls. I do very much agree with you over the pink part- AG does love shoving pink in our faces. 😂 I LOVE her wig as well, it’s very similar to my own hair, which I very much like. Not many dolls have shorter hair, which from the picture, it seems as if she does. I am not planning on adding her to my collection. She is really cute, but she wouldn’t exactly fit with my other dolls, mainly just becaus of the face. If she had a different face mold, I would probably get her, but yet again the painted lashes are a big no for me. Great video
I'm not a fan of American Girl introducing so many new face molds in such a short period of time. I know it is important because not everyone looks the same (obviously) but I wish they would spread our all the new face molds over the next few years instead of just shoving them all into our faces. I love Claudie's meet dress andPJ's! I love historical things and I think American girl did a really good job of finally making a 1920's historical doll!
I think the doll is super cute. The bakery looks nice but all are outfits (except the meet outfit) the outfits are all very showgirls. I wish they would have done more everyday outfits from the 1920s
I think Claudie is adorable and I like her face mold much better than Makena's. However, I won't be getting her, as I don't buy face molds that have only been used on one or two dolls. Keeps my collection smaller and keeps me sane. :) Great review!
Did any of you buy Claudie?
I kinda but I am not suree
nope!!
I’m going to in a few days/weeks!
Just have to make myself pay 15$ for shipping lol 😅
I will be going to the store tomorrow, I Am questioning getting her especially since you may not fit my other doll clothes
Bought her the day she came out - I am lucky enough to live by an AG store!
Yes, the bonnet they included is something a lot of black people wear to protect their natural hair. While they don't all look like head wraps, I love that they included it in the set.
Yeah I’ve seen it before in hair care videos!
Somehow, I was completely left out of the loop of Claudie leaks and just found out about her last night from a Claudie Opening video. But I’m actually so glad i didn’t see any of the leaks! I’m in love with her! She is so cute!
Compared to most new dolls, we got leaks for Claudie really late and her full collection didn’t even leak! So I was surprised
It's definitely modernized but I still think it's so cute! At first I hated her mold but after seeing her in videos she looks way cuter! I love the glitz and glamor in her collection!
The leaked photos weren't great. I was kind of worried. She looks much better on the site, and even better in unboxing videos.
It’s annoying they vary doll sizes. I cannot fit any of my older dolls into newer clothes. It would be super disappointing if you can’t use Claudies clothes on any other doll
Yeah. I haven’t really seen her outfits on other dolls yet
Claudie is also growing up in the 1920’s. keep in mind dance and jazz were on the rise so while she’s another “dancer” it’s historically accurate
Loved your review! I ordered Claudie and the blue dress with the fur coat. I'll wait on her accessories or another outfit, hopefully they will go on sale.
They probably won’t go on sale for a while but occasionally ag has promotions like triple points so that would be a good time to purchase those items. Let me know how the quality of the white jacket is
I love the blue flapper dress, but I’m worried that it won’t fit my other dolls since they made the Claudie’s body smaller.
I heard Claudie’s pieces fit other dolls but I have not seen any of her pieces in person to confirm

Pleasant Company Kit dolls do not exist. She was released well after the Mattel buy out.

it's not a hair net it's actually called a bonet!
Oh on the AG website it’s called a head cap, but when recording I accidentally said hair net

It was a collab? That makes sense as to why they’re possibly having issues getting the stuff to stores.
Yeah. I didn’t realize a collab would lead to delays though
@@AllycatlovesAG I think there were World By Us collection (or outfit) delays due to a collaboration.
If I made more money from AGtube I would buy that Bakery for my Christmas movies lol

Hi moldy
Such a missed potential :( She looks like an our generation doll. I absolutely hate the painted on eyelashes. Bring back old ag
She definitely looks like an AG doll but she still has to grow on me
