- You may be wondering, what carbs are okay to eat? And why is it important to consider? Today we're talking about bad vs. good carbs and what carbs are okay to eat by following the 5:1 rule. What's the 5:1 rule? It's a method for measuring the quality of your carbohydrate by comparing its values with fiber values. The higher the fiber ratio, the more you can trust that the carbs are okay to eat! We'll walk through some examples of bad vs. good carbs and I'll give you some examples of perfect carbs that are okay to eat.

Hello doctor Taz and commenters, is it okay if people like me mix pistachios, flax, chia and lentils together, and put those in a bowl full of milk?
So can I just eat some "good carbs" with my "bad carbs" ? Like, potatoes or rice with some broccoli and salmon for example?

Great video! Would have love it more if you compared sour dough bread as abetter choice of bread, and also how much carb to fibre ratio on food packets in numbers for a healthier choice! Can you p!ease share that ratio please? Most packs show per 100g.

Hello Doctor..I suffer from essential tremor disease. It is not Parkinson's disease. When I hold a glass of water, my hands shake and cause me embarrassment in front of people. What supplements do you recommend?
hi- start with magnesium but a bit more complex- may need to see a provider @centrespringmd
@@DrTazMD thank you dr. Any type of magnesium..because there is more than one type
@@kareemahmed7028 I use magnesium citrate. We are told to increase it up to bowel tolerance meaning if your bowels get too loose then cut back a little. Each body is different and will respond differently. I can take 600 mg but others can't tolerate that much so you have to experiment. If it were me I would contact a naturpath who gives B complex injections. Make sure they are using B12 in it and that they are using the methylcobalomin form as that is the most effective. B12 deficiency, according to the experts, can cause Parkinson type symptoms. Don't worry if your pee turns pink or red right after the injection. I was scared to see it but the doctor told me that is normal because of the deep red of the injection. If it continues to be red then go see your doctor but usually it is only red the first and maybe the second time you pee after the injection. I got the B12 with B complex weekly then went to monthly to where I only get it occasionally now. I helped my mom by giving by giving her high doses of Coq10. I am not a doctor and I don't diagnose or prescribe. These are the things that I have found effective for our family.

@@peterlawrence6815 but it’s the bread itself. Made by humans. Don’t get me wrong. I usually overdo bread and butter at a restaurant before dinner gets there lol but I try for the most part to cut it out.
