😂😂😂😂 Just because you présent your arguments in a serious tone doesn't change the opinion. Bleach is a horribly written work of literature. Leave the asspulls and emotional sides out of it. Bleach is 2 dimensional. You have a rescue arc and the a power up arc. That's it. Forget what's underneath it. That's all you get. Power levels are all over the place. Why is it that only friends of ichigo have powers? (I'm looking at Orihiime and Chad) So yeah. It is not a good story.
Not only did you ignore my argument and focused on the way i am presenting it but you also got that wrong When did this video indicate that it is by any means serious i literally had Ulquiorra as s** offender in skit You also proceeded to do what you accused me of doing Presenting your "argument" which is not even an argument because it doesnt have any supporting evidence And when did having a rescue arc and a training arc become a bad thing? Literally every other shonen has those And for the reason why only ichigos friends have powers First of all they are not the only one If you were to watch the "power up arc" it literally revolved around other people having the same power Secondly it was because they were attacked by hollows in their mothers womb And also constant exposure to spiritual pressure will grant spiritual powers If only you watched the show you wouldnt have spouted these shitty ass takes Anyways pin of shame
Bruh. Just because you don't présent supporting evidence, doesn't mean you aren't making an argument. Your thumbnail has not emotional and bad writing. And you proceed to talk about the emotional part. And yes, rescue arcs and power up arcs are a bad thing if that is all you do. And emotion is gained from a relationship the viewer/reader develops with the characters. But bad writing makes the readers not care (sorry this whole part flew over your head because I didn't spell it out... Like you claim Kubo does). So if you don't care about the characters because the writing sucks and people can't seem to get into them, then there's no emotion to be had.

Saddest death in Bleach for me is Starrk's. He only wanted friends and did not want conflict or to kill. His power was a burden that made him lonely and him having the realization that he wasn't alone with the other Espada is tear inducing. And it gets worse because he and Shunsui certainly would've gotten along somewhere else besides Fake Karakura.
The theme of bleach is Grief and the value of life and what makes life such a valuable treasure and how. It is drenched in sadness, sorrow, fear and responsibility. There were some things that hit you like a summer truck-kun like stark, but when you think about ANY character in bleach, you can feel what is the flavor of sadness they have going for them. But when a character figures out a way to ease their pain, they will definitely lose it and that's what makes the onion-chopping-ninjas appear in your room. There's those "no fun allowed* memes for games and other stuff, but bleach is definitely"no peace and happiness allowed, things only get better for a bigger fall. =\
Uh. No. It really isn't. It is better than Naruto, though, so I will give it that, but it certainly isn't better at anything, especially complexities, as One Piece is. None of the three are overly complex, though. They are still Shounen at the end of the day.
Ichigo is one of the most relatable protagonist. He doesn’t have a lofty goal that will earn him respect or recognition. He has only ever followed his heart. Like Aizen. Two soul reaper who thinks and acts outside the box.
I also wondered why Bleach was so hated back in the day and after watching way too many hate videos on Bleach, I found out that over 90% of them never read the manga or just watched bits and pieces of the anime years ago and just made videos out of their rough memories on it, that's why most of the criticism of Bleach are nonsensical not to say that there aren't any valid criticism just that bleach is the piece of media with the most unreasonable hate I’ve ever experienced but most of the videos I watched were from the 2016-2018 era of youtube
Facts bro the only valid criticism I could think of would be the filler cause bro IF I WATCHED BLEACH when it was airing I would’ve lowkey hated the show for years cause why put filler in between a canon arc? Like wth don’t get me started on the bount arc that was painful to get through after that I just decided to skip all the fillers except the one after Aizen is sealed but honestly the show itself is a 10/10 most of the criticism doesn’t make any sense
I have watched bleach 7 time and drop it because the story is boring, when i started watching Naruto and one piece for the first time i really enjoy compere to bleach starting
And the thing is, Bleach doesn't only focus on one emotion in onw scene. Specially in the manga, with their eyes and expressions, characters' feelings aren't simply sadness when someone dies. And when Ichigo wins, he doesn't only feel happiness and success. Since fighting is like a communication between the characters, he also feels regret and sadness (e.g. his final fight with grimmjow and aizen).
Bleach also uses storytelling through it's battles as well. Of course people don't actually read into the fights and tend to miss this. JJK recently did this with chapter 265, which btw is probably the best chapter in the entire manga, but people are too busy oogling at explosions rather than looking deeper. I'm actually shocked how with Demon Slayer people shit on it for the lack of depth (which to some extent it's warranted) then when Bleach has real depth and people recognize it, they say it's "overrated" simply because they either didn't read it or never understood it.
@@ellingtonf1097Your opinion was invalid the moment you mentioned jjk. Reading through battles? Everyone does that. Was it supposed to be a superpower? Jjk fans dont even understand manga. Tho it seems you do, but there is more detail in depth.
@@Tip.3245 I was talking about the depth in chapter 265 and how it was more slice-of-life and less battle focused. The manga also had other points with this as well. My opinion wasn't invalid because like JJK readers, people who don't give the effort of reading Bleach in detail miss these details and storytelling. I have the experience to know that a shit ton of people legit have no reading comprehension towards stories like Bleach and similar writing styles. I will agree that JJK fans are worse though, as one myself. Reading comprehension is a dying art. Nowadays people don't read between the lines. So in a way, it is a superpower to enjoy storytelling through battle
I want to tell you about my acquaintance with Bleach and how I almost ruined my impression by following the opinion of one of the streamers. The streamer wasn't very popular at that time (2020), but he had it's audience. He watched Bleach. Throughout the anime, he sat in an Akatsuki cloak and complained about how the anime was not very dark. He constantly poured negativity on Bleach. He said that "Bleach remains an important part of pop culture, just as other mangakas should not write the main story and plot. Bleach exists as the personification of everything bad. There is no combat system, tactics, or strategy. There's banal sword waving, just guys waving swords and saying bankai, and then waving lasers." Well, the only thing he praised was the soundtrack and that's it. At that time, I hardly watched anime at all and thought that Bleach should be ignored (how wrong I was), but then I decided to watch all the big three (Naruto, Bleach and One Piece) and I watched all of Naruto and One Piece up to the Cake Island arc. Then I decided to marathon all of Bleach before the release of the 2nd anime cour and I was glad that all the impression I had from that streamer went away and he was absolutely wrong about everything and I stopped watching him because his takes looked like banal hate... And yes, Bleach is very underrated and doesn't deserve such negativity despite all of its problems that I highlighted for myself.
1: 59 "Bleach its not emotional" BROOO In the 100year blod war, when Byakuya asked Ichigo to save Serete as his last words, I almost cried. On one side, we have Byakuya. The head of the Kuchiki klan, a masterswordsman, the pinnacle of a soul reappear. A man with great pride asks a substitute soul reappear (a dear friend)to save Serete. That scene has sooo much impact to the readers or watchers
Or when Ichigo broke down and cried after Ginjo stole his fullbring powers. People make fun of that scene, but if you truly understand Ichigo as a character and what the fullbring arc meant for him, then you'd find that scene to be really heavy.
@@IndigoKnight.Only recently people start liking bleach due to tybw being adapted, before that it pretty much hated than loved after manga finished. (Partly also because of RUclipsrs painting it in bad light as well as ichiruki shippers who went even as far as to burn the books just because ichigo ended up with orihime).
Bleach is getting the attention it deserves and all people say is that it's overrated. It's simply getting the recognition it deserved as a member of the big 3. One Piece gets gassed up and so does Naruto, but if you dare say Bleach ranks higher than either one of them, you get shat on by haters. They don't even have real arguments against it, they're just haters
Most Shonen consumers enjoy series that are very black and white morally. There is no clear-cut "good guy" or "bad guy" in Bleach. It is a lot more morally gray and complex. None of the antagonists are pure evil, and the protagonists do many morally questionable things at times to achieve their goals. I also think Bleach by far has the best character design of the big 3 and does a better job at developing its side characters than the other two.
I agree with the first 2 points but with the development one i think Kubo did a good job but there was a way bigger room for improvement tbh look at the vizards for example and i think he could have also done more with ichigo school friends.. in my opinion one piece has a more fleshed out cast but bleach has a better and more appealing one
@@BasedEngineer Not just twice the characters, most of which are way more memorable and then show up randomly hundreds of chapters later to do something crazy important for no reason. I think when it comes to feel like a more lived-in world, One Piece has Bleach beat. By miles.

In Shonen there are usually two types of main characters, Goku and a Yusuke. Gokus main deal is that they usually want to get stronger and prove their strength to everyone Yusukes are more in line with protecting their loved ones and keeping their day to day
istg bleach is so good, like the other day i was just thinking about Yamamoto's bankai and his we see both the past and modern day fights between yamamoto and yhwach in the past Yamamoto wins with his not yet fragmented/developed bankai, showing that this fight didn't have much nuance, it was an invasion of the soul society, the enemy was clear in the modern day fight we see yhwach fight against a bankai with a gimmick, being the cardinal directions which i think represent yamamoto looking outward being sure of the soul society's safety which is shown that he is SEVERELY wrong about, yk with both of the main villains residing in it so: yamamoto's bankai reinforces Yhwach's point of him being stuck behind in time, and having outdated thoughts. HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS SOONER? the symbolism in fights are peak. speaking of peak in bleach: character writing using the power system: Izuru's shikai perfectly represents his squad's philosophy, we've seen how fanatical he is when it comes to his captain, so this just strengthens the image we have of him. (TYBW cour 2 spoilers) Rukia's bankai was a massive payoff, more than 500 chapters in the making, we see how much she idolises Byakuya and wants his approval, but all he does is be cold and emotionless, because in gis mind that's what a soul reaper must be, this idea gets challenged by Ichigo in the SS arc, this is then developed when Rukia uses bankai, we see that it manipulates her body temperature and makes her "dead" and therefore emotionless, thus she can be emotional when she needs to and cold when she needs to, this leafs to her defeating As Nodt, and Byakuya congratulating her and her "perfect" bankai. GOATED series
1) excessive filler in the anime destroyed its momentum and reputation 2) its really subtle storytelling and show dont tell style causes misunderstandings like vasto lorde ichigo and even a ton of foreshadowing that goes under the radar 3) the characters are deep and nuanced, they dont show emotions in an exaggerated and emotional way causing people to think the characters are dry 4) it was ahead of its time, talking about such deep topics in an ocean of surface level shounen 5) in line with 4, the tropes of regular anime that existed in early bleach made it seem like just another shounen, indirectly lowrring the expectations of the story.
As if Bleach was the first shonen with complex themes. Like HxH and Ruroni Kenshin dont predate it by years lol. Bleach fans are becoming the new Togashi/Seinen fans...
@@dc7981 idk about ruroni kenshin but hunter hunter isn't subtle storytelling. Being complex and well done doesn't make it subtle, and being subtle doesn't make it good or complex. ichigo alone with his complex feelings towards his power, zangetsu, white, fear, unconident, questioning, curious, aware, guilt, sadness ....it's just the depth of his own is like a the best experience i had in any anime main character Zaraki alone is a whole other anime, mayuri, aizen, urahara, yuha, ullquiorra the foreshadowing, the hype, the storytelling, the badass designs and transformations, world building, symbolizm, GOAT OST's, and the thing i love the most about bleach is kubo doesn't spoon feed you, it's not black and white, it definately feels like a mature show, just like i felt with AOT
One piece is more mature than bleach but I can agree bleach is more mature than Naruto but just bc bleach has darker character designs and darker tone doesn’t mean its as mature as AOT or one piece or anything like that and ichigo is the most bland protagonist around lmao stop convincing yourself he’s well written there are well written characters in bleach but ichigo not one of them and thinking a manga is dark just bc of the “tone” is very pathetic and slow lmao there should be more traumatic things happening for it to be mature
@@DaKing540 I didn't mention the word ''dark'' a single time, you're just yapping You also said there should be more traumatic things happening, having your mom dying next to you, and you blame yourself for the rest of your life for her death until you discover the truth and also your innerself/source of your own power threatening you to take over at any time you're near death is traumatic enough for me
right bleach is bad, but a tv show about a spiky haired ninja kid who risked life and limb to try and rescue a dude who never needed to be rescued and didn't give a crap about the lives of the ninja kids friends and loved ones is definitely good writing. and I guess villains who spent their whole lives planning complete genocide can easily be convinced to change their evil ways in an instant by having a conversation with ninja kid is great writing. oh yeah and we can't forget the billions of filler episodes and long dragged out boring fights that the ninja kid show had.
Most tend to watch bleach because it's part of the big 3. and expecting story line and main character who will try to become the best in the power system of that world, just like Luffy being the pirate king and Naruto being the hokage.... but bleach isn't about that, it's a story about a guy just wanting to have 'enough' powers to protect his loved ones, it's a story about a guy who was born in the dark who has all the powers in the world so he doesn't need to rely on external power to become strong, the secret for him to becoming strong is literally to understand himself more and accept his own powers.
Honestly I know how this sounds, but most people who hate bleach just don’t understand it. It doesn’t hold your hand and tell you every detail, but it gives you enough to fill in if your paying attention
U know why bleach was so underrated kubo was never invovled in the anime production much because he was to busy finishing the manga at deadline meets. Maybe in the future we can get a remake of bleach beginnings the crazy part is the anime turn out pretty great especially if u watch the blu ray dvd verison!
W vid my guy but I'm still wondering to watch Bleach or Naruto but tbh bleach interests me more . Thanks it's rare to see real love for bleach since everyone and their mom is busy hating it for no reason 😅
Bleach is my fav, currently watching naruto and it is fire , choose whatever you feel like it but keep in mind that bleach has a slightly slow start and gets better around ep15 (although the first episodes have a lot of important details that are gonna pay off really well near the ending) and also skip fillers for both of them
I read/watched both and enjoy both. Naruto was top dog out of the big 3 back in the day. Bleach, in hindsight, is a better series imo. Ichigo is not as compelling a character as Naruto, however Bleach does a better job at fleshing out and developing its supporting characters than Naruto. Naruto is very childish when it comes to the moral and ethical conundrums within its verse though the series has enjoyable character dialogue. Bleach has better character design, art style, fights, and sound track in my opinion.
@@Alb_usmHe is not, Ichigo hogs a lot less spotlight compared to the average Shonen main character. And his personality isn't very interesting compared to other characters in the series.

"Monsters run rampant on streets, later it is revealed, an organisation has a designated duty to fight them, thus MC gonna join the org, MC somewhat has the power of the monster inside him." The fact that there are a few numbers of popular manga nowadays using the same premise like those rather than following directions of Naruto or One piece . The only thing different of Ichigo from other MC in that trope, he does the work of that org but not officially join them . He can't even goes to their realm by himself without someone to help
Because of bad anime adaptation and some crucial espada fights weren't all out. Too long Arrancar arc with fights only. Ichigo's power wasn't explained until TYBW, that's why people don't understand power levels.
I enjoyed Bleach, but I have the impression that some people are not aware of some mistakes and shortcomings. I think we've lost quite a bit of world building. Right from the Soul Society arc it was just fight after fight from one vice captain/lieutenant to the next captain and the next and not just for Ichigo but for the others Ishida, Sado. Basically, if you realize it, it was always just a fight. The story developed only through the fights and that is not the best method. Same in Arrancar arc and Hueco Mundo and Karakura. Someone always had a rival. Hand on heart, do we remember anything other than just the fights. I personally want more than just fights. A related problem with this is then how the story unfolds according to the template. Ichigo fights - Ichigo is defeated - Ichigo is training - Zangetsu or his hollow will give Ichigo strength - Ichigo is cool and plays him number one. Another thing as the author doesn't give Ichigo a unified goal from the beginning and always comes up with some rescuing missions for Rukia and then Orihime to push him somewhere in the story. Again, not the best way to develop a story. There is far more to it. I can also say the positives of this anime, but I don't want to drag it out with such a long comment. It's not just that I'm criticizing. I like Bleach in its essence, but after watching it I can see that there are mistakes and it would be stupid not to recognize that it is so.
Bleach is not an anime about characters going through adventures to explore the world like one piece It's a battle shonen manga that focuses more on the fights Also bleach repeated the same arc formula once unlike one piece who does this a lot 1-New Island 2the main characters explore the island 3-there are people that are slaved by a king/government 4-somehow Luffy will have a personal conflict with the king 5-the crow split and had their own fights with the government 6-luffy fight the big boss and he win 7-in the end they are having dinner Do you see!!!!the same story telling over and over again but no one complaint about it because they knew these arcs were different in terms of characters motivations and themes and the same thing happened with bleach The SS arc and The hueco mondo arc are different but follows the same formula somehow
@@ABlandName Sky pia arc, alabsta arc and some more They are all rely on the same structure that I said before but somehow the show is still manageable to enjoy by its audience but with bleach using the same formula once it's different,"let's all shit on it because it's BLEACH🤓"🤦🏻♂️
@@animespace1135 ok ngl i completely forgot about alabasta. Its not that I hate bleach, its just that just like what op said. In every arc bleach has had so far besides the fullbringer arc ichigo does not have any ambitions and motivations other than protecting his loved ones so trying to force him into a situation where he has to step in and protect them can make every arc seem really repetetive even when its not especially since its a battle shonen manga. Bleach is a good manga but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its faults.
@@ABlandName Kubo didn't give Ichigo a massive goal to achieve because he never wanted him to be the main focus of the story in the first place As you can see,the story of bleach is all around the soul king and Aizen and Urahara and even yhwach Also The environment is mostly the thing that decides the protagonist's goal In Ichigo's case he's just a random guy who was living his ordinary life daily but one day some random spiritual world ball shit dragged him to interfere in order to save his friends and his family because he must to or everyone will die so he doesn't have a choice He's more like spider man
Your accent threw me off there for s second but I got used to it surprisingly quickly and yh bleach is underrated in how it portrays themes and tells its story. One interpretation I have of bleach is about Ichigo and his powers. Ichigo is born with all the powers in the verse and that makes him the one with the most potential.i think it says something about people in general. Eventhough we are born with so much potential we end up struggling with ourselves and losing it all. Just like Ichigo battles Zangetsu his literal self so do people also battle with the potential that they try to achieve. They are stricken with anxiety and depression when they don't live up to that potential just like Ichigo. Zangetsu tells ichigo to become as powerful or even more than him or he will crush him, just like how people feel like their ideal version of themselves is so unobtainable that they are crushed by the burdens of expectations and their own potential. Even the symbolism with Ichigo's inner world being buildings that represent his boundless potential and an ocean that he sinks into when depressed. Throughout the story, he is taught to be fearless by Urahara, trust his instincts by Zangetsu, have the resolve necessary to carry on with his goals in the battle with Kenpachi and many other instances I do not remember. At the end of it all this quote has stuck with me whenever i think about Ichigo and bleach, it was never me against the world but it was always me against me. That's the conclusion I got from the blade is me chapter. I really like the content you're making. Uv got a new subscriber
Just my opinion: My problem with bleach is lack of motivation for the side character.I felt like heros side character is there just to defeat the villain side character and villan side character are just fighting just bc someone ordered (except aizen trio and ywach) and ichigo is too op like when ichigo entered the fight with ywach i genuinely thought that he was going win that fight (then i saw the manga) but I am waiting for the next arc lets see....
There are a lot of factors but I think it's a combination of esoteric writing style(a pure show don't tell writing style without a balancing act, kinda similar to Tsutomi Nihei) and Kubo's reputation in Shonen Jump(it might not be true, but according to rumors he's not exactly a nice person to interact (kinda like a diva)since he's mostly on the bad side of pretty much every editor)but this is most likely the discourse in the west I've heard but it didn't stop it from being one of the best selling manga and getting a award Kodansha award
Why bleach is underrated is mainly because Kubo's trolling and underutilisation of his own characters(Starrk/Rangiku/Gin/Lille Barro/Yammy/Zommari/etc). Lot of characters that he either just discards once he gets bored or never fully utilizes them in the first place.
I'm personally of the opinion that not every character need to be the most complicated one to be completely serviceable (aside of that, I especially disagree with your Stark and Gin examples. If Bleach was 1000+ chapters long, I'd agree with underutiliziation.
Idk I love bleach but you kinda lose me when you start bashing jjk. I'm not saying jjk is a masterpiece or anything but jjk also suffer from people having a lack of comprehension skills.
Theres not much to comprehend man. The themes are in your face or outright told to you. A lot of failed deliveries on what gege assumed would be hype (miguel and nipple guy). Yuji's domain doesn't even have a name lol this is basic stuff that just isn't becoming of a goatee piece of fiction. And that's just scratching the surface
Bleach have it's problems, but it have everything why shonen fight animes are good. Because I tired of the 12 or 24 episodes animes few years ago, I started black clover. It's toxic fanbase was everywhere saying to anyother anime is garbage and black clover is greates of all time. But after I started it, it felt bland and boring, without any good character, fight or even moment. When a main character have a short lame backstory and they repeat it 4 episode in a row, without adding anything new to it. I dropped it after 52 episode, but that time I questioning I even like animes, what's the problem with me. After I told that my friends who's watch anime too, they recommended me Bleach and it was amazing. Soul Society arc reminded why I love watching anime, it have everything, good story, great characters, amazing fights (and plot twist which was spoilered to me by Jump Force video game😅). I usually read animefans put Dragon Ball into the big 3 instead Bleach, but the Thousand Year Blood War arc is very popular, it slowly building back it's place. After black clover's toxic fanbase I care less about a public opinion of anime and if it's seems interesting I watch and decided by myself how good or bad it is.
Having to downplay other shows to make bleach look better is not a good look. If you genuinely made this video to support bleach and not just hate on other mangas and critiques of bleach. Make examples to show they are wrong instead of deflecting the criticism

The thing is people listen to what others opinion and goes into the anime thinking about what others say then they finish it and say oh this anime is bad 😅only ever listened to what others think I mean no anime is perfect all anime’s have flaws but it doesn’t instantly make the anime bad you should watch something first before going into watching a certain anime or else you’ll come out hating it and every anime has its flaws but that doesn’t immediately make it bad and anime is for all but preference is clouded with hate and prejudice towards certain anime I love most anime I don’t have an anime I think is bad just off of others opinions I go in the anime without listening to others opinions because everyone sees anime good or bad but just because someone says it bad doesn’t mean it is and you shouldn’t at least try to watch it the internet is the reason why anime’s get hate because they don’t like it and goes online and says shit like oh that anime was terrible and like oh it was mid but idc bout others opinions I watch it with a clear mind and then once I fully understand it and it’s development then I make my opinion so before you watch any anime do not listen to others opinion and watch it for yourself and then form your own opinion i mean there’s obviously some bad animes but that doesn’t imply that you’ll not like it just means you gotta form your own opinions and thoughts on a anime instead of just listening to the internet
Whenever I hear my friend say Bleach isn't sad I'm just like Stark exists. Also the rain thing I didn't think about ichigo's mom but I did think of what zangetsu said
I wouldn't say Bleach is underrated, it's very big and popular and many have finished it since it is from the Big 3. I do feel however that many overlook it alot and majority are ignorant towards what the series has to offer. That's what I have noticed over the years.
While bleach didn't get the respect it deserves from the anime community the bleach community continued supporting the series that has been shown by the hype when tybw got announced Just being loud on the internet doesn't mean being the majority
Bleach is too mature and deep for internet children. Kubo isn't pretentious to flex has inspirations and discuss how far a thread can go. Ichigo is the perfect Jungian analogy, he is The bird of hermes, the perfect alchemy, the whole philosopher's stone in the making in front of your eyes, but no one will know about is because it isn't shoved in our faces every 15 seconds like hellsing and FMA. Bleach is just way too complex and doesn't make a big deal about it, so no one even notices until they have enough maturity, culture or knowledge to appreciate the undertones. Aaaaaand hueco mundo manga was slooooooooooooooooooooooooow when it was coming out. Fake karakura arc was 1~3 waiting for a chapter to get 3 simultaneous fights on the same page. It wasn't bad, there were some highlights that turned the internet upside down like when the turn back the pendulum was released. Years later, you can speedrun those chapters in minutes. But waiting weekly was very similar to Goku vs Freeza animated weekly, half a year for a battle to end. And TYBW arc was one of the biggest let downs ever. Lots of expectation, health issues from Kubo, little time and it was just the most complex arc of any series, way too many moving pieces simultaneously. It was the answer to everything, and people were really hyped for Ishida to get some justice... So there's no surprise in Bleach getting flamed, but it was just some fans upset and the rest of the internet that didn't know anything about Bleach and was in the "I don't like seinen stuff" club started bashing for no reason. Pretty much the same thing that happens to Sasuke in Naruto, a Seinen character trapped in a braindead shounen, but when you change his hair color to blonde and gives it no development or character besides being a genius, people love it and become a fan favorite. So the more thought "waisted" on writing, the better it fares for the shounen audience.
lol. This is no different than the unhinged and laughable Rick and Morty copypasta. It is a standard Shounen. It is not that complex, and certainly doesn't delve into the dilemmas as deeply as something like FMA or Hellsing does.
@@orga7777 it does, it just don't shove it in your face, everything is so grounded and deep at the point of seeming mundane due to masterfully crafted writing. You can pick any character or any arc and can drive long discussions about it. It isn't hard to pick a dilemma and make a spectacle about it, but it takes a master to make it as mundane as possible to a point of making the audience being frustrated about a character's decisio.

When it comes to story i see it like: One piece>Naruto>Bleach

Bleach doesn’t just tell the audience what is happening. It’s a very subtle story with lots of detail. I think this goes over the heads of a lot of people so they try to label it as generic when they missed the point in the first place. I like Bleach because it isn’t some loud and eccentric main character who wants an unrealistic goal. It’s a character who has very relatable desires.
How can a manga that has the title of big 3 be underrated? The fandom is terrible (almost one piece level) and bleach elitist made it more overrated than ever
@@lolsnez7542 wheres the lie? Bleach fans act like you have to have a genius level IQ in order to understand the story, its the same as R&M fans were acting years ago
@Thouxanbanquincy I'm fairly certain that those fans were joking. I'm not sure about bleach fans. All in all, 99% of manga is easily digestible and doesn't require a high iq to decipher.
I think the main reason is lack of a strong " purpose" that ichigo has to have. Plus the animation of it. New TYBW animation fixed that making it Waaaaaay more enjoyable to watch. Beside that bleach has some of the coolest looking characters in what i dare to say ALL anime. The fights are dope as hell too! If it were ALL reanimated i think itd be way more accepted. I mean just look wt demon slayer, thats what carries the whole show, The animation.
Enjoyed the vid. Only miss is that jjk never being that good to begin with is super baseless. I get it gets worse after shibiya but it’s still a bad take
Jjk pre shibuya was a 7/10 (good) anime showing a lot of potential that sadly never attained and ended up fumbling a lot of the stuff that made it likeable in the first place so yes it was never THAT good Not on the same level as the S tier animes not even top 15 and then it got even worse
We don't care about the reason we want it to stay underrated At least it won't be ruined by toxic fans and new gen watchers who don't know what real anime is
my biggest gripe with bleach is that the main cast has way too much plot armour. You just know that they will survive regardless, and it makes the story feel more like forced content rather than going in a linear way. On the other hand, jojo and aot are examples of anime that arent afraid to kill of characters, and it adds so much more suspense along with making the anime feel like it has a clean start and end. Bleach kinda just has a bunch of arcs
Lol aot for most time just kill the character which we only know name of but nothing besides that. And tell me if any of the character in allaince got killed in the last battle. Even the main cast and several other character has an insane plot armour in aot. One example is armin getting burned to toast,Levi still doing fcking impossible after getting that thunder spear blast at point black etc or so.
@@vaidikchauhan4382lol for the most part every series got them, looking past these trivial things what made me appreciate the themes and depth of the story
@@vaidikchauhan4382 So what about Erwin, Hange, Hannes, and Sasha? Don't talk about plot armor when Bleach is the series you're defending. Byakuya should've died after asking Ichigo to save the soul society, it would've made that scene more impactful. And also Momo, a useless side character, managed to survive death twice for no reason she should've died when Aizen made Toshiro stab her it would've actually made that scene sad
@@Thouxanbanquincysomeone sounds butthurt, he said nothing about aot having more plot armour than bleach or something. He just mentioned that just because aot kills a whole lot of them doesn't mean it doesn't have any plot armour
growing up my older brother introduced me to bleach on toonami, i was drawn to bleach over any other anime at that time by seeing how serious and mature it was compared to other anime on toonami, that as well as interesting characters and cool designs hooked me right away, we continued watching it every time we could catch it on TV, then in high school I was able to watch the series start to finish and it became one of if not my favorite pieces of media and still is to this day
Good foreshadowing doesn't make a story good, especially when more than half of the cast was wasted potential, and many fights prior to the main ones were straight up plain boring (that worsened the overall pacing)
One thing that is interesting in these talks is that videos like these never focus on the three bums that form the main cast of Bleach. 3 characters, completely sidelined and ignored for bigman Ichigo Secondly, just because a story contains foreshadowing, does not meant it’s an A tier story. You can clearly tell that kubo favoured aspects of his story more than others, which ultimately led to a story that is extremely lopsided. Like I don’t even think the tybw event/ return of the quinces is ever foreshadowed in the story (please prove me wrong). Instead kubo just focused on what he thought was cool and that was the connection between Yhwach and Ichigo. But Ay congratulations to Kubo for being able to connect points in his own story I guess. Oh and Naruto has already received its fair share of fans and non-fans turning against it and hating on it. The 4th great ninja war arc is the greatest example of this and the narrative of Naruto being Jesus and not having to work hard.
You dont seem to like the series hence why you have this opinion about the main cast maybe in the future i will make a video about that , anyways about the war arc please watch my other video "the overlooked side of bleach" that scratches the surface of the bleach foreshadowing and has a direct hint to ichigo/yuha connection + How can you say he never intended to have quincies return meanwhile he literally told us in the very first episode that there is a history of hatred between them and the soul reapers in episodes as early as episode 11 Get your facts straight man
When Ichigo almost died fighting with Zaraki,Zangetsu healed him with Quincy Powers.Old Man Zangetsu when Ichigo first meets him tried to say his name, but it was blurred. Also Ichigo's bed has Quincy ornament and red ribbon.... So What?)))
A lot of people tried this series young and just didn't get it so they bashed it as they got older. I now tell people watch Bleach if you're trying to really get lost in the world because in some ways the series doesn't hold your hand My gripe with the series was that details about the power system are drip fed to the reader so I didn't have a good understanding of how the abilities work. Shiki is small power up and Bankai is big power up was all I really understood. When characters would describe different techniques like flash step and sonido is made me wonder what the difference was. Lastly the anime. Unfortunately and it pains me to say this I feel like the anime misses the mark when conveying some of the tone and brutality of the world of Bleach. The 1000 year blood war fixed this.
Bleach is weird. I feel like it deserves so much more love, but also so much more hate. It's a great story that should be greater. All the pieces are there, all the plot lines are set. It just made a habit of setting things up so damn well, only to completely shit the bed with the landing. There should be FAR more tension in Bleach, but nothing bad ever really happens outside of a few examples. The roster of characters should have been trimmed down as the series went on. Characters should have completed story arcs and been allowed a memorable exit. The series has potential to be so much more, yet it's all wasted in order to showcase spectacle and fan service.
You were spittin until that last sentence. If you think Bleach favored fan service over story, then you never even watched the anime (or read the manga), especially Fullbring Arc since that focuses more on the story/grounded aspects of Bleach.
I watched the 1st season of jjk and peoples like omg the friendship of the main 3 and its like they have chatted 2 times about none magic crap in 24 eps they are not friends, pink guy and gojo you can see it they spend alittle time just chilling and somewhat understanding eachother but the story is about a sentence long
5:21 maybe this shit happens cuz the ppl making content on these series never rlly liked it to begin with they just made vids on it to drive engagement those bills don’t pay themselves type shii usually these ppl start reviewing one anime they genuinely like then when that shit ends they just start analyzing other series cuz they ain’t got content left and just base there opinion with the common consensus of the fanbase this happened a lot when anime RUclipsrs hopped ship from Naruto when it ended and started reviewing one piece and mha
Bleach is so unbalanced as Shonen manga. Some battles are kinda childish honestly, but it's too difficult for kids to capture characters' emotions and true context. Nowadays I doubt that BLEACH is just an action manga even the action is one of the most fascinated element of BLEACH.
My only problem with bleach is two major rescue arcs damn near back to back of the two most important women in the show, other than that i think the rukia retrieval arc was peak. So is the fullbringer arc, and anytime the vizards were on screen too. But that also reminds me, why the fuck did shinji and the others not use their masks in blood war? Did kisuke return them to normal? Or did the Yamamoto ban the use of hollowfication under any circumstances?
On Shinji part, I assume Central 46 banned Hollowfication as a condition for taking them in again, so it's not like he forgot his powers, he just have gotten an order of not using it, he can't just unfollow it. Personally I also didn't like How Kubo made 2 kidnapping arcs. But they were good atleast
@@sahilsinghrautela743 makes sense, but when its life or death i feel like some of the vizards would break that rule. That fight was genuinely unbearable

Just because you présent your arguments in a serious tone doesn't change the opinion.
(I'm looking at Orihiime and Chad)
So yeah. It is not a good story.
Not only did you ignore my argument and focused on the way i am presenting it but you also got that wrong
When did this video indicate that it is by any means serious i literally had Ulquiorra as s** offender in skit
You also proceeded to do what you accused me of doing
Presenting your "argument" which is not even an argument because it doesnt have any supporting evidence
And when did having a rescue arc and a training arc become a bad thing? Literally every other shonen has those
And for the reason why only ichigos friends have powers
First of all they are not the only one
If you were to watch the "power up arc" it literally revolved around other people having the same power
Secondly it was because they were attacked by hollows in their mothers womb
And also constant exposure to spiritual pressure will grant spiritual powers
If only you watched the show you wouldnt have spouted these shitty ass takes
Anyways
pin of shame

As Eiichiro Oda said This is a matter of reading comprehension, something which a lot of people lack nowadays.
Stark is underrated imo
I hope we see him in the hell arc fr
The theme of bleach is Grief and the value of life and what makes life such a valuable treasure and how. It is drenched in sadness, sorrow, fear and responsibility.
There were some things that hit you like a summer truck-kun like stark, but when you think about ANY character in bleach, you can feel what is the flavor of sadness they have going for them.
But when a character figures out a way to ease their pain, they will definitely lose it and that's what makes the onion-chopping-ninjas appear in your room.

This
most shonen consumers are too incapable to understand the depth and complexity of emotions beyond sadness and joy

I agree with the first 2 points but with the development one i think Kubo did a good job but there was a way bigger room for improvement tbh look at the vizards for example and i think he could have also done more with ichigo school friends.. in my opinion one piece has a more fleshed out cast but bleach has a better and more appealing one

istg bleach is so good, like the other day i was just thinking about Yamamoto's bankai and his we see both the past and modern day fights between yamamoto and yhwach
in the past Yamamoto wins with his not yet fragmented/developed bankai, showing that this fight didn't have much nuance, it was an invasion of the soul society, the enemy was clear
in the modern day fight we see yhwach fight against a bankai with a gimmick, being the cardinal directions which i think represent yamamoto looking outward being sure of the soul society's safety which is shown that he is SEVERELY wrong about, yk with both of the main villains residing in it so: yamamoto's bankai reinforces Yhwach's point of him being stuck behind in time, and having outdated thoughts.
HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS SOONER?
the symbolism in fights are peak.
speaking of peak in bleach: character writing using the power system:
Izuru's shikai perfectly represents his squad's philosophy, we've seen how fanatical he is when it comes to his captain, so this just strengthens the image we have of him.
(TYBW cour 2 spoilers)
Rukia's bankai was a massive payoff, more than 500 chapters in the making, we see how much she idolises Byakuya and wants his approval, but all he does is be cold and emotionless, because in gis mind that's what a soul reaper must be, this idea gets challenged by Ichigo in the SS arc, this is then developed when Rukia uses bankai, we see that it manipulates her body temperature and makes her "dead" and therefore emotionless, thus she can be emotional when she needs to and cold when she needs to, this leafs to her defeating As Nodt, and Byakuya congratulating her and her "perfect" bankai.
GOATED series
1) excessive filler in the anime destroyed its momentum and reputation
2) its really subtle storytelling and show dont tell style causes misunderstandings like vasto lorde ichigo and even a ton of foreshadowing that goes under the radar
3) the characters are deep and nuanced, they dont show emotions in an exaggerated and emotional way causing people to think the characters are dry
4) it was ahead of its time, talking about such deep topics in an ocean of surface level shounen
5) in line with 4, the tropes of regular anime that existed in early bleach made it seem like just another shounen, indirectly lowrring the expectations of the story.

right bleach is bad, but a tv show about a spiky haired ninja kid who risked life and limb to try and rescue a dude who never needed to be rescued and didn't give a crap about the lives of the ninja kids friends and loved ones is definitely good writing. and I guess villains who spent their whole lives planning complete genocide can easily be convinced to change their evil ways in an instant by having a conversation with ninja kid is great writing. oh yeah and we can't forget the billions of filler episodes and long dragged out boring fights that the ninja kid show had.

Bleach is not an anime about characters going through adventures to explore the world like one piece
It's a battle shonen manga that focuses more on the fights
Also bleach repeated the same arc formula once unlike one piece who does this a lot
1-New Island
2the main characters explore the island
3-there are people that are slaved by a king/government
4-somehow Luffy will have a personal conflict with the king
5-the crow split and had their own fights with the government
6-luffy fight the big boss and he win
7-in the end they are having dinner
Do you see!!!!the same story telling over and over again but no one complaint about it because they knew these arcs were different in terms of characters motivations and themes and the same thing happened with bleach
The SS arc and The hueco mondo arc are different but follows the same formula somehow
@@animespace1135 this literally only applies to dressrosa and wano which are apart of the same saga
@@ABlandName
Sky pia arc, alabsta arc and some more
They are all rely on the same structure that I said before but somehow the show is still manageable to enjoy by its audience
but with bleach using the same formula once it's different,"let's all shit on it because it's BLEACH🤓"🤦🏻♂️
@@ABlandName
Kubo didn't give Ichigo a massive goal to achieve because he never wanted him to be the main focus of the story in the first place
As you can see,the story of bleach is all around the soul king and Aizen and Urahara and even yhwach
Also The environment is mostly the thing that decides the protagonist's goal
In Ichigo's case he's just a random guy who was living his ordinary life daily but one day some random spiritual world ball shit dragged him to interfere in order to save his friends and his family because he must to or everyone will die so he doesn't have a choice
He's more like spider man
Your accent threw me off there for s second but I got used to it surprisingly quickly and yh bleach is underrated in how it portrays themes and tells its story.

Ulqiorra wanted to get some 🤣🤣😭😭 holy shit that was epic!!
Bland characters and asspull that sounds a lot like Demon Slayer and Tanjiro as a whole
that's like 99% of anime lol
Well made video!! Bleach is one of the GOATS!!
Anime fans don't like to think, but that's something you have to constantly do with bleach
Many anime fans didn't understand bleach
Even many so called BLEACH fans didn't understand it completely 😂
Honestly its really emotional, it hits different when that music plays
JJK does that too tho and its very popular
I'm personally of the opinion that not every character need to be the most complicated one to be completely serviceable (aside of that, I especially disagree with your Stark and Gin examples. If Bleach was 1000+ chapters long, I'd agree with underutiliziation.
Nope
@@mathislepoisson4549People hate that aspect of JJK tho.
And that's just scratching the surface
i dont even understand how deep and complex bleach is and yet its still my 2nd favorite seires oat. peak show
Bleach have it's problems, but it have everything why shonen fight animes are good.
Bro I thought the Ulquiorra bit was an actual sub before Orihime said the harassment line 💀

Whenever I hear my friend say Bleach isn't sad I'm just like Stark exists. Also the rain thing I didn't think about ichigo's mom but I did think of what zangetsu said
I always tell my hbs just to watch TYBW and you will love bleach
I laughed out loud at that Ulqiorra skit with Orihime. Funny as hell
I wouldn't say Bleach is underrated, it's very big and popular and many have finished it since it is from the Big 3. I do feel however that many overlook it alot and majority are ignorant towards what the series has to offer. That's what I have noticed over the years.
Man when byakuya "died" that gets me every time, the saddest scene in bleach for sure
While bleach didn't get the respect it deserves from the anime community the bleach community continued supporting the series that has been shown by the hype when tybw got announced
Just being loud on the internet doesn't mean being the majority
I agree bleach is too complex for kid who only depend on character statement.

Man you speak facts. It is really sad that people think bleach is trash and jjk is peak
Ngl bleach is just good but blood war arc is really like really good but it doesn't make up for 300 eps for really nothing
Then you didn't know about One Piece fandom, they are the worst fan base so far now

If it were ALL reanimated i think itd be way more accepted. my biggest gripe with bleach is that the main cast has way too much plot armour.
Even the main cast and several other character has an insane plot armour in aot. growing up my older brother introduced me to bleach on toonami, i was drawn to bleach over any other anime at that time by seeing how serious and mature it was compared to other anime on toonami, that as well as interesting characters and cool designs hooked me right away, we continued watching it every time we could catch it on TV, then in high school I was able to watch the series start to finish and it became one of if not my favorite pieces of media and still is to this day
Good foreshadowing doesn't make a story good, especially when more than half of the cast was wasted potential, and many fights prior to the main ones were straight up plain boring (that worsened the overall pacing)
One Piece in a nutshell:
One thing that is interesting in these talks is that videos like these never focus on the three bums that form the main cast of Bleach. 3 characters, completely sidelined and ignored for bigman Ichigo
Secondly, just because a story contains foreshadowing, does not meant it’s an A tier story.
You dont seem to like the series hence why you have this opinion about the main cast maybe in the future i will make a video about that , anyways about the war arc please watch my other video "the overlooked side of bleach" that scratches the surface of the bleach foreshadowing and has a direct hint to ichigo/yuha connection
+ How can you say he never intended to have quincies return meanwhile he literally told us in the very first episode that there is a history of hatred between them and the soul reapers in episodes as early as episode 11

A lot of people tried this series young and just didn't get it so they bashed it as they got older.
I now tell people watch Bleach if you're trying to really get lost in the world because in some ways the series doesn't hold your hand
My gripe with the series was that details about the power system are drip fed to the reader so I didn't have a good understanding of how the abilities work.

Bleach is so unbalanced as Shonen manga. Some battles are kinda childish honestly, but it's too difficult for kids to capture characters' emotions and true context. Nowadays I doubt that BLEACH is just an action manga even the action is one of the most fascinated element of BLEACH.
Is it though I never had any problem with any of Bleach fights
