Can you imagine if ichibe didn't hide yhwach real name, ichigo would have been shouting yhwach name everytime, meanwhile soul society would be scared of ichigo lol
I have a feeling that the head captain would get heavily involved with that name getting thrown around because of the officers hearing ichigo say that name
There's also when in the society arc Aizen says "No one stood at the top from the beginning. Neither you, nor I, nor the gods" and the paneling suggests he's directly addressing Ukitake as he says this, foreshadowing Ukitake's connection to Mimihagi
oh good one also is when old man zangetsu always says ,,i hate rain, it gets so lonely here when it rains,, etc. i think its foreshadowing for ywach using his power when he kills allmost all his comrades, every time he uses it reishy rains as all of them die and he is alone in the rain. just like old man zangetsu hates it.
You forgot the quincy forshadowing of old’man intervening during the battle with kenpachi. He took ichigo into the shadows(which only the chosen ones can of the quincy). And used blut vene to heal his wounds. I always wondered how he healed, because no other shinigami did before and after. Not without inoue or squad 4
Also during the Kenpachi fight Old Man Zangetsu uses a techniche to hold back Ichigo's wounds from losing blood, he even mentions that he can't keep it up for long. This could be some sort of Blut Vene which he could slightly tap into thanks to his quincy powers manifesting and controlling themselves as the old man
There is one more foreshadowing for Yachiru. After defeating Ikkaku in SS arc, while waiting beside him, Ichigo realised shikai will returned to basic zanpakto if the wielder unconscious while not holding it. Later there was a manga panel , where Hisagi presented the monthly bulletin to Ukitake and reported on Kenpachi still asleep while Yachiru nowhere can be found. It's a foreshadowing on Yachiru's true nature
There's also this instance where Yachiru disappears from the soul society entirely when Kenpachi was knocked out cold. This also foreshadows how she is his zanpakuto as Ichigo learned during his fight with Ikkaku that all zanpakuto's return to their normal form if their owner is unconscious.
The troubles with Ginjo also foreshadowed the later troubles with the nobles and their paranoia, particularly the Tsunayashiro who orchestrated the whole incident and drove Ginjo to mad vengeance. Ironically the very first Xcution members who were murdered merely wanted their powers removed in order to return to normalcy, Soul Society had nothing to fear from them.
Urahara needed ichigo and rukia during the menos grande. Knowing the the hogyuôku was in her gigai to help progress ichigo development. Uryu asks ichigo how he delt with hollows if he has shit control of his SP and he says "instinct" uryubis surprised. And then go on to say "if ichigo sp is full blast,if he can control to a point and discharge it, it would be able to destory the menos. Which is a GETSUGA..also when ichigo was about to slice it. The cero turn from black to white ish..quite cool
Dont forget Isshin & Ryuken conversation after Isshin let himself into Ryuken's property. This proves that both Dad's had a history, & knew each other. 👍
When old man zangetsu told him to find the box which had the sword by finding the red ribbon, we can see that there where other white boxes. And if you go back to see the other chapters when ichigo was using the ability to track souls as rukia told him ishida (a quincy) had a white box that represented his soul. So (idk if I'm reaching) ichigo right then and was shown to be a quincy since his world was filled with white ribbons. That were attached to his white box that represented his quincy blood. Kubo is wild.
Wait, aren't spirit ribbons white by default? Only a soul reaper's ribbons were shown to be a different colour (red). Everyone else that ISN'T a soul reaper has a white spirit ribbon so idk how this foreshadows ichigo being a quincy.
@@Wid21425 No, Spirit ribbons are the visualization of one's spirit energy in the form of a ribbon. If you have a soul, you have spirit energy, and if you have spirit energy, you have a spirit ribbon. It's not something you're given, it's something you have. You don't need to be spiritually aware to have a spirit ribbon, just spirit energy, which every being (Physical or Spiritual) has because they have a soul. You only need to be spiritually aware for it to be possible to visualize and touch a spirit ribbon. Whether the spiritually aware individual can do it or not depends on their skill, as detecting spirit ribbons is said to be a high level technique by the shinigami. Only soul reapers have differently coloured ribbons (Red). Every other being has a white spirit ribbon. That's it. Anything else like quincies, hollows and fullbringers having differently coloured ribbons like soul reapers is pure headcanon and hypothesis as there's no evidence in the manga that supports that claim. So yeah, that moment where Ichigo is surrounded by white spirit ribbons isn't a moment of foreshadowing for Ichigo's quincy heritage due to white ribbons being the colour for any being that isn't a soul reaper. These white ribbons are meant to represent his humanity while the single red ribbon is meant to represent his dormant soul reaper powers.

Foreshadowing and retcons are different things. Bleach was a simpler story at the beginning and it complexified over time, just like any story that's told over a decade and a half would do. Kubo had no idea he would bring back the concept of quincies for a last arc back then and he did everything he could to make his new story elements fit in the narrative. It's clumsy at times but in the end you can always say "ok, why not. I'm sure I can make it somewhat work in my mind". That's just how this manga is built and that's ok. As I've said, the story was simpler in the first few volumes. Ichigo turned into a semi-hollow because his chains was completely devoured before he could regain his shinigami powers and he could not hear Zangestu's name because he was not ready to at the time. I'm not trying to bash Kubo or anything but people have to get real at some point. There wasn't a 15 years long plan in Bleach. The genius of Kubo's writing is basically to often make a character say something like "because you are...", not finishing their sentence, then coming back to it a hundred chapters later to make it look like some insane foreshadowing. 😒 That being said, a few things were trully foreshadowed in the manga. Gin being ultimately an enemy of Aizen, Yachiru being Zaracki's zampakuto, Ichigo's mom death hiding some secret and Kaien being related to Ichigo in some capacity (he was probably just his reincarnation or something in Kubo's mind, at first), those were all things the author left open pretty soon and he came back to them pretty organically later because of it. Some other ideas were just scrapped along the way. Isshin losing his powers because of the final Getsuga tensho was heavily implied for a few years but Kubo left that idea in the end, for instance.
I agree with you generally, but you also should recognize that there are core elements he did have in mind. Not the Arrancar, but certainly Ichigo's heritage.
@@MatthewKelley-mq4ce well, depends on what you call "Ichigo's heritage".
