The guy is in great shape...but he is incorrect. The abdominal muscles are just like any other muscle and when exercised with additional weight other than your natural body weight...they will without question, thicken, broaden, and round out. When a fit person does regular crunches or flat-back sit-ups, you will see seperation but the abs remain relatively flat.Whereas weighted crunches or sit-ups will produce abs that resemble small biceps when viewed from a profile point of view.
Hey Rob a question: I do the same exercise but I notice that your range isnt that extensive throughout the movement, whereas I get in a kneeling position and pull all the way down until my elbows hit the floor. Is this wrong/better/worse/doesnt matter ? Also, should I be concentrating on reps as opposed to pulling heavier weight with this particular exercise ? Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work !
How long have you been doing workouts for? Unless I was a body-builder, I wouldn't want to go as far as you have done. If you do too much, I don't think it looks good at all. But still, well done!

In the past, i would only do crunches, which is prob why i only have the top two abs showing... my question is, should i just start focusing on the lower part to catch them up and if so, what's some of the better routines to sculpt the lower ab region.. also, should i lay off the upper region until my lower region is somewhat caught up?
For lower abs I do DB leg raises. Plain ole leg raises did nothing but you can start with that to get the form down then add weight. Dont stop the upper work. All my ab work is done with heavy weight to build mass exc. for the obliques I do BW or very light cable woodchoopers.
You want to add weight to the leg raises, this works great. 1. Get a dumbbell, start with 10lbs. Leg raises only work when you lift your legs from parallel position to the level of your head and do nothing from perpendicular to parallel positions. Get your tailbone to CURL. 3sets of 10 2. Watch your sugar consumption especially high glycemic Sugar AND Carbs. Remember blood sugar gets store as fat.

A FEW POINTS: 1) He is a World Fitness Champion.. just weeks away from competition (so more shredded than normal), so basically his body is in the top 1% of physiques for his catagory!!; 2) YOU can achieve what he has!... his muscluar structure is quite normal, just that you can SEE more of it (ie the abs); 3 Respect to this guy.. he wasnt born that way, it was hard work and dedication!!! (ps the guy in the background is like.. "damn, my gf will be fucking this guy in the club later" hahaha)

Hello there, have you considered "Musclegends" (look on Google)? There you will find a useful free video demonstrating how you can gain noteworthy muscles very fast. This made it easier for James to overcome his bodybuilding stagnation and consequently build chiseled muscle with no fat super fast. It might work for you also.
Your videos are great man, great demos, really good (and accurate) info. However... your long winded explanations kinda lose me and I find myself losing interest and skipping forward to the actual demo. I know you have info to get across... but maybe find a way to talk and demonstrate or something... Make a 5:30 minute video more like 2 or 3 if you cut out the fluff. Just my opinion.

Rob I am a huge fan of yours and Vince delmonte, but I prefer your build as it is more athletic as apposed to bulky, keep up the great work
