I train in Kali, Silat and we actually will hit or destroy the hand or the arm as you demonstrated. We will do what we call gunting to hit the forearm or bicep. I love Ninjutsu and have since a kid. I love all martial arts that are effective.

The precise strikes of the red belt and the use of distraction to follow through with the take down genius use of Ninjutsu

20 years ago, I studied Bujinkan and Genbukan Ninpo. I always thought of Bujinkan as weak and ineffectively taught. You guys have changed my mind. The Dojo Martial Arts....you have a good system. Akban also impresses. Thanks for giving me something to think about again with the Ninpo systems I felt were a waste of time.

1:41 Now, I’ve had the pleasure of training some NINJITSU. But I never realized how close these fighting arts really are. That first entry you used. In WING CHUN which as you know, was the mother of JKD, and SHAOLIN KUNG FU being the parent to KARATE and WING CHUN, being that they derived from the WHITE CRANE. Those first two techniques we call PAK SAO. They gave them in MANTIS KUNG FU as well. Mantis’s version bough is a slap to the face not the hand. But ya, PAK SAO twice and the punch we have as well. JUN CHOY JIN CHOY both of those work like that uppercut you used. Fabulous

agree with Hunyadi. I, as well, have some Kali / Silat training and Gunting is very important to my personal defense and the way I defend. I do not "block" any attack I redirect it with a pat or gunting movement.

Nice techniques. Really enjoyed the good explanation and demonstration. But i was wondering if the title of the video should be "... using taijutsu movements ..." ?

They should practice this in proper sparing to see if it really works or not.

I like the nice takedown it's very interesting but you would have to be very fast and precise with that but I would not really agree with the punching their punches b/c a very was to defend a punch is to evade not to start and argument or anything but that would not very effective in a street fight
    :)

@owenspence But the question is still would this really work in a HARD, MESSY STREET FIGHT....

@@colinluckens9591 it really depends on the person if they are skilled or not tbh I'm looking at the video and I have palm parry ppl like that before but as soon as I did it I instantly aim for the jaw into a takedown it's a one step not one, two you can palm parry into takedowns it just depends if you can land it bc in street fights most ppl would get slammed
