To all the people that are saying that Ninjutsu is crap you need to understand something. This is not Ninjutsu. This is a westernized version of Tai jutsu. I do agree that this video is indeed crap. But if you're saying that Ninjutsu is crap well that means that you actually have no idea what so ever what Ninjutsu actually is. Ninjutsu is not a martial arts form/style. Ninjutsu is actually traditional warfare that incorporated some from of combat i.e tai jutsu, bo-jutsu, kenjutsu, naginata-jutsu, kusari gama, shuriken-jutsu. But what they don't show you or teach you in the west is all the rest of the actual skills that the shinobi used. If you were a shinobi who mastered Ninjutsu then that means you never actually fought. You only fought when you got caught. So before complaining that Ninjutsu is crap do your research.

I am actually amazed at how many people post negative comments on this video without as much as a clue to what this budo is.
Regarding the credebility, it's about the same as aikido; you have to experience it yourself to believe it.
Keep in mind that this is a SELF-DEFENCE budo, all of you who are thinking "yeah right, like any of those techniques are lethal, just use a knife", IF you had a knife to begin with, you wouldn't have the need to use budo.
Also, a demonstration needs a bit of showmanship, or else it wouldn't be as interesting. Therefore it may look like some wierdos wearing black Gi:s doing bad acrobatics, but go to a dojo and you'll soon realize this is actuallu complex and VERY hard to master.
Stop hatin' and experience it for yourselves. THEN come with constructive criticism, THE END

    • @aaronmcintosh2903
      @aaronmcintosh2903 10 месяцев назад

Uh....some people HAVE experienced it for themselves - and have arrived at the same conclusion. You have no clue as to the experiences of the people that have been posting "hate". Fact of the matter is, this kind of "self defense budo" is garbage, and would get you killed.

It's a show to attract interest so more people join and allow the school to grow.. So many comments on this, yeah its a demo, the whole idea of providing a demo of ninjutsu is to promote it, ofc the techniques are flashier than usual and probably not practical for real fights. The most effective ninjutsu techniques are usually the ones that are hardest to see: slow nose break, short, fast koshijutsu and koppojutsu techniques. It deff looks like it lacks the aggression of most martial arts, but thats the idea,Hatsumi has the same ease and flow to his techniques. Personally I believe the whole idea of a ninjutsu demo is obsolete, its not a martial art its a form of espionage that can be applied as a martial art. and as to those claiming they want to see ninjutsu against other martial arts, UFC etc. It wouldnt work, they have rules, ninjutsu goes for the eyes, and balls, also combat is highly subjective, so the outcome would only prove something on the specific individual level.

if it sells it sells. why not disclose it? it sells. You cant argue MMA vs Bujinkan, comes down to fighting dirty as a ninja. Anyone can fight dirty the difference is MMA styles are developed by hard training/sparring. Ninjitsu has no hard training/sparring as the techniques do not translate well with real resisting basic MMA opponents, Ninjitsy only works in with training partners who are using the ancient marital art known as choreography.

for me childhood was rural Hawaii...80ties, I was obsessed with martial arts and ninjutsu was very popular. Later on I was involved with judo, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and football. I founded one of America's first mixed martial arts clubs and a Ninjutsu group showed up to try their hand in the cage. They wore full ninja gi down to the tabi boots and weren't initially taken seriously until their head instructor went 5 and 0 in American Shooto MMA competition.
I trained with them for a few years and was granted a sensei rank in Taijutsu... many years later a guy showed up to my gym talkin about Bujinkan and I was not familiar... after looking up Bujinkan online it's kind of difficult to accept because it seems so hokey.
Fake no-touch Masters are very detrimental to the martial arts world and although Bujinkan doesn't seem to step over this most important line it still maintains a lot of theatrical techniques that in my opinion have no place in the hardcore world of ancient medieval Asian combat
My attitude about Tai Jitsu is vale tudo striking with anything goes Judo style lapel work... I don't think ninjas bothered with much of the techniques they depict on the bujinkan videos as their motivation was simply in and out survival or Battlefield expedients!
I have to assume the theatrics are simply an intelligent business attitude rather than a realistic take on Ancient medieval Asian combat or its modern day equivalent!
Its hard enough to get people to take Ninjutsu seriously without kung fu movie choreography and dangerously hokey fake Aikido style no-touch throws!?!

This is silly. Do these guys ever spar? Do they ever try to see if their sword techniques work against anyone trained in Kendo? Do they ever try seeing if they could actually stop a punch that was not rehearsed? I have seen very few schools of Ninjitsu actually allowing students to spar. Most (I'm sure not all) say their techniques are way too deadly to be used in sparring.

The effective technique of ninjutsu for me is the roll over. I study the rolls only of ninjutsu only and practice at home because I see it's so useful. One day, on the way to work, the motorcycle I ride hit another motorcycle that was crossing and I flew away, lucky for me I'm fit enough, if I was only obese I have my face land first then I was a calm type so I able to calculate the momentum and law of physics and as I land, I have my palm first then roll together with the law of physics. I only have a minor injury at my left wrist and was not so bad. Thanks to the rolls of ninjutsu, it's really useful and imagine, I have no helmet that time. The driver and anyone who saw it was amazed. If there's a CCTV there I'll surely get viral. In every unpractical martial arts, there's some technique on it that was so useful than even an ordinary man that was not a martial artist can be used and apply like in aikido, the footwork and movements are so useful.. I train in Filipino martial artd but I also takenote other useful techniques in other disciplines and apply it.

Really good demo. Slowed down a bit for the crowd in parts. But highlights all the things I tell people about it. Everything around centre of balance, random attacks at any angle using any technique, weapons, throws, kicks breaks. It's one of the few full martial arts. I don't see what the fuss about BJJ is. Everything you do in BJJ is in ninjutsu plus a lot more. You don't go to BJJ and the instructor punches you in the back of the head while your faced away, and then tells you off because you didn't defend it. Which you learn to do. You don't go home from bbj with blood noses black eyes etc from white belt, you do in ninjutsu. And there's no females in ninjutsu, you don't get special treatment because your female. They train to get clocked in the face 50 times. That's a good black belt also, good teacher.

In order for a dojo to operate must be a member of the greek martial arts federation and since you are a member and you want a licence then your dojo has to participate in this annual demonstration. On the other hand you are criticizing a demonstration full of white belts. Do you even know what white stands for? It represents in every art the pure, the one with no knowledge so dont expect much in a demonstration. Last but not least i' pretty sure this yushu Shihan is part of the bujinkan alright since he is one of the two people worldwide able to conduct the Godan test outside of Japan.

It is sad to read the comments, most of which are clearly from armchair experts who don't know shit about martial arts. Particularly stupid are those that say the material displayed here doesn't work. Most of it works perfectly well. You will find identical techniques in karate, jujutsu ryuha, and Chinese systems. It is, thus, pretty main stream, and that material has all been tested by practitioners all over the world in real fights. For instance, I noticed techniques that are in the defensive tactics manual for the police forces of my state and I know cops who have used the stuff on the street.

A "style" is nothing more than an art, for show. With that said, this cannot be judged by whether or not it is effective in combat, because art is beautiful. Fights, war, is ugly. This is for show and will only get you killed in combat. True self defense should not take years of study. True self defense does not train at slow speed because in a real fight, it happens in a blink of an eye. You cannot delude yourself, just because you are a practitioner of this sport and you love your sensei, that this training will bail you out in a street fight. In a real fight , your body can only use gross motor movements making these complex movements impossible to use. In conclusion, traditional martial arts are good for sport and exercise, but should not be trained as self defense for out of the dojo.

I'm currently training in a different MA and from my first lesson in this art I took away something practical and useful and pressure tested in that first lesson. I'm looking back now at buj and just feel sad that it's just not fully practical.

Have a look at "chosun ninja" for something a little more realistic regarding ninjutsu training etc.

The only thing I can't get over is the pause and action to it all. I understand that it is a routine, but it should be more fluid than when learning the routine.

casi siempre cuando una arte marcial empieza que no tiene mas de 8 años, son los que mejor saben de esa arte marcial,
con el tiempo que ya se vuelve antiguo los nuevos que lo practican ya son mucho menos eficientes que los primeros peleadores
