Love the Speed3 content yoo! 👍🏽
Thanks man, glad your enjoying, looks like this channel might head 100% Mazdaspeed 💪
Just got a speed 6. Thank you for the knowledge!
All good man! Hope you enjoy the car, good choice!
Don't be that guy who misses something and blows up his MZR ;/
Okay the b roll of the 2 2nd gen Speeds is LIT!!! AP3 is mandatory guys who don't own this you miss out on 40hp just on the base tune and its like a Game Genie for you Mazdaspeed so its worth the money. Don't get one that still married and the guy doesn't have the speed anymore its gonna cost you as much as a new one to get it reset and new serial numbers by COBB. Nice video man!!
Thanks man, I try my best! Accesport for the win, crazy how much they can do
Just subscribed. Liking all mazda content. Thanks for the clear knowledge. Supporting from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Aye let's go! I'm NZ gang too! Glad you like it 🔥
Another awesome video and proper info. Great job! Cant wait for the next one
Thanksss, more coming!!
Need a video like this for the mazda 6 mps please. Love the videos bro
It's exactly the same thing bro, same engine from factory, so same mods! Although instead of taking a bit over 10% off the crank power for the drivetrain loss, you'll instead need to take off a bit under 20% off the crank numbers to make the wheel hp, though in Europe and stuff, everyone just says the crank rating ie stock is 256/263, no the wheel amount (208whp/214whp)
-cobb fmic- AT hpfp-ebay dP- full 3in turbo back exhaust-cobb ap- k&n sri- corksport inlet pipe- E30 (e51 1.1ratio with 91 oct= e30) tuned by Dramatuned-316whp/395wtq. it was 101deg when tuned also.
Nice part lists bro, good build!!
Awesome bro!!!
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍💯
I don’t have a access port but my tuner is going to the workshop where
My 2008 speed is being worked on
ohhh yes
Soooooo at 3:35 that is legit my ms3!!!
Yoooo it's nice as bro!
I have an 08 Speed 3. Great car. however its having a rough idle, I had it diagnosed, it reads a : pressure fuel rail sensor/misfire 3rd cylinder. I replaced the spark plugs and coil packs (with OEM), still bogging. Do you have any sources I can search for the Fuel Rail for replacement parts ?
Have you tried replacing the fuel pressure sensor? I'm assuming your from America, if so, I've heard great things from many people over there about a place called Edge Autosport
@@LifeOfTuners thanks for replying. I havent tried to replace the sensor yet. From what Ive learned the sensor is attached to the rail, not sure if im correct though. Ill reach out to edge motorsport.
I think it's good to replace, but don't know for sure, yeah I've heard great things about Edge
Where’s the MPS from the Thumbnail thing makes 770whp thought I’d see it in the vid 😂
Ahaha yeah I've heard about that thing, fkn crazy 💪😳
Uhhh I think 770whp might be a bit beyond the goals of this video 🤣
I cant hear most of the speech and its so fast speech
Oh sorry about that, I'll take that into account when I film next, maybe put it on .75 speed, if it doesn't sound bad, also my accent, we usually combine all our words with no gaps, so that's not gonna help either tbf
I think the audio quality is the problem as well as the music volume.
It sounds like it was recorded with a laptop's microphone.
Ok, is the music too loud? And is their any particular aspect of the audio recording that is notably the worse? Thanks for the honesty
@@LifeOfTuners Yes, music a bit too loud. Or maybe just the selection, your voice is lost in the bass.
Ok thanks man, that's like one 9f the best ways to help my improve, thanks for your honesty
I was that guy I went zoom zoom boom on the highway I was pushing 22 psi when it happened
Ah right that wouldn't have been a good time
Can you also use a downpipe with High flow cat(s) because where I live (Germany) I can't legally do a catless downpipe. And I want to drive around legally.
Yeah that would be algoood, maybe not 300whp, but not to far below, if you only do intake and HPFP, but yeah nothing stopping you from going high power with some high flow sports cats!
For the past couple of months I’ve been looking at MPS’s on trade me and I’m wanting to get one as my first car, but I was told that the turbos go out a lot and it wouldn’t be a good car to get as my first car, do you think they would be a good first car? I’m still unsure, but I really like them.
Well in terms of reliability, they are a little more unreliable then most performance cars, but they aren't as bad as people make out, with the turbos, it's the turbo seals, which tend to go out at different times, but from my experience, every 50,000kms, tho by doing regular oil changes, they don't really tend to blow, that's a big thing with these, regular maintenance like spark plugs and oil changes, is what can make them reliable.
But it also might not be the best first car in other senses, if you think about it, it's as fast as a brand new Civic Type R, and has the same amount of torque as a brand new golf R, might not be the best for a beginner driver, as they do torque steer alot, also because of that insurance and petrol prices are high, but if you already know that, and have it all planned and worked out, then they could be a mean first car, and plenty of tuning potential!!
All Performance Cars mate been thinking the same thing like I know insurance gonna be high but if I buy it out right then it would almost be the same as a finance car if you get me 🤷🏼♂️ thing is finding a good one that’s stock so Insurance isn’t as bad as it could be in the U.K., you got ig to dm you a few questions as you clearly know your shit with cars compared to me 🤣
Yeah man hit me up! @all_performance_cars
If you peep my recent upload, the first thing I talk about is the turbos, you should get a good understanding from that, cause they are over played, as well as other issues
ruclips.net/video/mEgmMhauutc/видео.html
My stock turbo is at 138k and still going
Hey nice video, I think it's a bit fast cutted and very fast spoken. A bit difficult to understand...
Yeah it is, I agree
i dont hear about alot of problems with the pistons shattering but rather rod knock, i feel like forged rods would probably up the reliability and longevity of the engine by alot. anyone else think the same?
Yeah rods are definitely the weak spot, but you don't really need them till you cross the 400whp mark
Would doing these type of modifications cause the check engine light to come on
A lot of them will, cold air intake, downpipe, turbo to name a few.... Though once you get tuned their won't be a check engine light. But if you never intend on getting tuned, you won't really see any power increase
Thanks bro there's My mps start up white on MUQ623 ❤🙂
Yeah! Damon sent it in 🙏I've been liking your guys tiktoks recently aha
@@LifeOfTuners Cheers bro haha ❤
Just picked up a 2008, has a pretty big list of stuff done.
CST4, catless downpipe, new turbo inlet and intake, short shift kit, upgraded swaybars, lower motor mount, hpfp, turbosmart diverter valve, accessport v3 and a dyno tune for 270whp. There is much more that I can't remember off the top of my head.
since buying the car, I put in new valves, rod bearings, piston rings, did timing, single mass flywheel conversion and clutch kit.
I still need to replace the shocks, it has blown Koni adjustable shocks with lowering springs, needs tires, a wheel speed sensor, and then a proper break in period.
is there anything that I would need to look into further? all the bushings and mounts are still 100%, It sat since 2017 with a blown motor thats why the suspension bits are shot.
She runs great after the rebuild, and took it for a quick spin, no boost leaks and sounds amazing. Hauls ASS.
Damn that is quite alot 😳, obvs good for wayyyy more then 270whp, like way more, esp if you run e85!, That's gonna be fkn SET. The mod guide I did will help you, plus I've got a supporting mod guide coming. With stuff like motor/trans mounts, sway bars etc, but man, that car is gonna FLY
@@LifeOfTuners sick man! I thought it was pretty well rounded. Im good friends with the previous owner, and he went with the mild tune because he was worried about heat soak and the stock tmic. Interested in photos? It definitely stock looking right now, but its a work in progress.
Yeah the tmics do hold back power from what I've seen they're only good for Abit over 300whp depending on tuner, pics would be sick my.ig is @all_performance_cars, she sounds like quite the sleeper
I dont use Instagram, but I got my old account up from years ago, sent a photo of her.
Thanks, I just got your message, she looks clean bro
What would be the safest way to run stage2 remap?, i heard that cateless downpipe kills the oem turbo.
I wouldn't really want to run a "stage" tune, on the speeds esp they are known to be quite bad for the reliabilty of your car, so I would go with a pro tune, though that costs alot more. But if running a pro tune is simply not an option, or your waiting to get a protune, a stage tune is better then no tune, with stage tunes, I'd generally just follow what whoever your using says, is Cobb, yeah Catless downpipes can kill the OEM Turbo (specificly the seals) quicker then normal, cos they do like to blow stock, however, you can slow this time down by simply doing regular oil changes and letting the car warm up and cool down when doing aggressive driving, when the turbo does start to smoke, run a little bit thicker oil in the meantime, while you find a replacement turbo or Upgraded turbo for more power. It's a risk, but with good maintence it's not as bad as you'd think, so yeah, but ofc you could go for a sports cat, won't offer as much power gains, but it's less dangerous for mr OEM k04 turbo
3:23 what are those wheels :0
I don't know bro sorry, the owners Instagram is @cosmiclimits
Can i run stock itv20 plugs with (Remap, Intake and racepipe)? Or i neee colder plugs?
Yeah stock plugs will do good with that setup. Just checking to be safe, you have Hpfp right?
@@LifeOfTuners yes, i do have hpfp internals
That's good, just gotta check to avoid the zzb, stock plugs should be good
From what mods do you recommend going colder plugs?
Once your going over about ~325whp, that's like an intercooler, full turboback exhaust (with decat), intake, hpfp and e85, that's a good stage to go colder plugs
Thank You!
Run colder plugs as soon as your boosting more than factory, the k04s are small heat blowers anyway. Just remember to gap them tighter with more boost.
Do one with aero mods 🤙
I'll look into that, though it would probably be hard to do a whole video, esp given peoples personal taste, though I've thought that about plenty of videos, and they needed up doing pretty well, so I probably will do that at some stage!
Well check out my mazdaspeed 3 carbon fiber video on my channel, ive got some rare goodies
I have a cx7 awd with the same engine. Only doing a cobb sri for now until I upgrade the HPFP. Thanks for the info
Thoughs Cx7 turbos are high key cool as
I need to get hpfi but it seems hella hard to get in .
It is a fiddley job disassembling the high pressure fuel pump, but watch a couple of videos on RUclips and follow them, you should be good
All Performance Cars do i really need it ?? All i have is a bov and intake
Bov won't really effect it, usally just an intake is acceptable, aslong as it's running under like 280bhp (crank) but if your wanting to run more power, hpfp is defo needed, you should be fine, but if you want to be safer hpfp will never hurt
What game is that btw??
That was GTA, the Speed 3 isn't actually in the game, you have to mod the game to get it
This video is so bad... Stupid volume spikes, music just as loud as you, causing what you say inaudible. Additionally you speak fast and slurred, which makes things worse.
Rip
0:36 Wannabetuners :((
Yeah I felt the big rips watching that for the first time 😭
What are some good fuel pump internals?
There is plenty, I've never really heard of bad ones, the most common would be Autotech or corksport
Its fost
I don't appreciate you using my content/car in your video without asking permission. Lmao please take this video down
Oh sorry about that, my bad, do you want to message us on Instagram or something so we can discuss what to do? I really do want the best outcome for us (@all_performance_cars)
