When I see a cutaway image of supressors that cost from $800 on up, I'm amazed at the gall, and the balls the industry has to ask such prices. Kooky man!

Great overview. Silencer is a misnomer, unless you can get subsonic rounds. Gotta love a subsonic .22, the sound of the bolt is deafening! Thanks for the great, non-bias, info!

How do you know if the QD suppressors like the SOCOMs will fit on a certain muzzle device? Do you have to buy a specific comp, or will it fit on any comp/flash hider?
Most companies will have specific muzzle devices for their QD suppressors. So if you're looking at the Surefire Socom suppressors you'll be using Surefire's muzzle devices that are " Suppressor adaptors" in order to use their QD suppressors.
Great video guys. It would be a crying shame, hypothetically, if someone were to recently get their can from you guys, and on the first round get a baffle strike, launching the suppressor down range. Hypothetically. 😭
Thanks, I probably would have bought one already if not for the wait time, there's always another gun to buy, accessories, ammo, etc, so those kinda get in the way of me buying something and waiting 8 months for it. But I do really want one and I'll take the plunge eventually 🤷
If you are submitting as an individual, now might be the time. Check out what the wait times are currently (March 2024) We're seeing tons of sub 1 month approvals and have gotten forms back in 6 days, 4 days, and 2 days in Feb.
I need a short suppressor for the new PPK chambered in 32 acp.. I have never had a suppressor so I have no idea where to start.. Any advice and suggestions?
Hello. My dad has 5/8 - 24 adapter and he don't know what size of female thread of suppressor matches his adaptor. What size of suppressor can u recommend sir? Thanks
Yep, you sure can. There will be a bit of loss of suppression because of how much larger the bore of the suppressor is than that .22lr round, but it will work just fine for you. Give it a shot!
What people tend to not understand or convey in these videos, is that the sonic crack made by the projectile follows the projectile closely. Which, is why it's directed away from the shooter. At 2500 fps, it only takes a millisecond to get away from the point of origin.
so my question is... I have a Lunar 9 Gemtech with the Neilson device/piston. Can I shoot it on a Ruger PC Carger fixed barrel? Or will it damage the suppressor?
Currently (2024) the ONE suppressor basic you should know is that SIG/SAUER makes the BEST suppressor for pulling gas flow AWAY from the shooter. The new suppressors for the M5 battle rifle and M250 light machine gun have baffles that are printed because the design is too difficult to machine.
That depends first on the state you're in and if you're allowed to modify that. If you are and you need to get that unwelded and unpin so you can direct thread a suppressor to your barrel. Or get a muzzle device that allows you to thread to it.
Hey I love your video, super informative. I currently own a galil ace gen 2 in .556 with a 13" barrel. I know iwi chose the oss; I'm aware of the benefits of using the oss. But I want to know what my options are. What is more suitable for me? Purpose is: apocalypse weapon system. I'm looking for a suppressor that will give the best flash suppression. Reliability, while under heavy use, and is light weight. I live in a climate that can get down to -70F, (-20 avarage) in winter; winter is about 3/4 of the year here. And 80F in the summer Conditions are mostly dusty and dry. I know there probably isn't the perfect product out there for me and that's ok. Does anyone have any experience with this new platform with suppressors, if so what are your recommendations? 🤔 Thanks
Dont know if you'll see this, but got some questions. Im considering purchasing my first suppressor and am curious about the process. 1) i have a CCW and had to have countless fingerprints taken and cataloged by my local Sheriff's department. Do i have to repeat these, or can the ATF access the fingerprints already in the system? 2) i do not have a passport, never have and probably won't for a good while. Do i have to get a passport just for the purchase of a suppressor?
@Mason Smith sadly, there are no FFLs with suppressor licenses near me, and the few that i have asked say that they do not know. Thanks for your time, though.
@@This_Guy1 Hey, another fella from NC! Yeah I agree completely but I think it unlikely because we aren’t exactly a 2a sanctuary state but it’s possible.
Can someone please give me some advice on this, so if I bought a suppressor or put a oil filter on my pistol, do I have to modify my pistol like changing the recoil spring?
Man, I’ve been trying to get ahold of a suppressor lately so much money though. Thanks for doing this video, very informative. I hope i win the raffle. Full send mode

1st silencer, Rimfire.
Easy choice. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. Don't have to worry about any hearing protection. Now I'm hooked!! 30 can ordered.

Hi friend, What size silencer would be for my second generation Ruger .243?
Good video. I was wondering if you had a suppressor for a 300 ultra win mag? You said you could use one up to 300 win mag. The you.
There are actually quite a few cans that can handle that kind of pressure. I'd check out the Dead Air Nomad and Nomad Titanium as a starting point.
This is awesome! Thanks Eric!
Outstanding video! Learning a lot

Thank you! They're worthwhile having. A great tool for sure!
Do suppressors usually come with everything to run on a 300 and 5.56 or do you have to buy separate parts to make them work on both?
Usually, you need a second muzzle device for quick detach suppressors, or a thread adapter for direct thread suppressors.
Great info on suppressors for new commers! Appreciate the video!

Some put a teaspoon of water ,also that lube electricians use to pull wires will also work!
