I really hope this film blows up for you, like in the best way possible! Every time I watch one of these shorts, I am astonished at how incredibly hard working, detail oriented, and passionate you are. You think of everything! You deserve everything! Can’t wait to see this film
seriously, he got me with that one too. im an artist constantly messing with new mediums and im finally trying my hand at crochet for a second time in my life and i have a slightly wonky base to a hat ive already restarted four times but i want to wear this hat forever. so now i am restarting the hat, cause whats a couple more hours when this hat will last me forever??
This is gonna be the best short film I’ll watch in my life and I can’t wait to see all of these beautiful small touches weave together. After watching all of these vids, if I don’t cry, I’ll know I have no soul
Wow... As someone who subbed not too long ago, I never realized that it’s taken you 2 years to do this. That is some serious dedication right there. Words cannot express how excited I am to see all of this hard work and dedication. We appreciate you and everything you do, and we will always be here for you. Keep going, no matter how tough it may seem. It will all pay off in the end.
I don't know whether I'm happy that the film is coming out soon, or sad that these shorts with beautiful messages and behind the scenes will be over for this project!
I actually am so looking forward to the finished product. I LOVED stop motion as a kid and this is almost the next phase of that for me. The artistic creativity and passion for the project is so beyond anything else and for you to have kept it up for 2 years to create your masterpiece is truely it’s own work of art.
SOOO worth it!! Your film (and the tv show inside the film!) was incredible! Your love, care and attention to detail SHINES through your work and truly draws the viewer into the world you made. The characters were easy to get attached to because of the details you put in. I got to know so much about the family dynamics and it was incredible!!!! A HUGE, HEARTFELT THANK YOU for sharing your art and passion so freely. ❤
The tiny photographs aren’t only better, they are also so adorable. Miniature, real photos that sit in a movie set made of just paper, and yet they can show so much! I love the idea! 😁
Yes! It's a difference process of capturing the moment in a phitogroah vs a drawing. I'm in art school and after switching from a photo major, i noticed that I approach storytelling differently. It's not like character building for writing but its own thing.
@EeveelutionStorm I do something similar in Sims 4 (with huge amounts of custom content lol) - I make characters, their different outfits, and multiple variants of them based on where they are in life in my stories. I also build rooms, buildings as needed. I have a narrative game in the works as well, so I use the pictures I take of what I created as placeholder sprites and backgrounds!
You wanting to get to know your characters is amazing to me. I felt like I was the only one who felt this way but I guess I was wrong. I feel like the more I work with a character the more I know them almost as a person. I understand them better. It goes from “what do I think this character would say here?” while I’m working to a “LMAO THIS CHARACTER WOULD TOTALLY SAY THIS” when I’m just thinking randomly.
I LOVE everything about this. Those photos game out so great. Like photos of actual people. I agree the drawings did make them seem like caricatures. It made me think of TV shows where they never actually draw the background photos with any real detail and then you’re left with an impression of what you know should be there and it’s fine for that since the world isn’t real. Your world is real, tangible, and that can be felt every time I watch your shorts about Gruff. Those photos you took add to the world and story so profoundly, I feel like your characters are REAL, they are out there living their lives, and it’s amazing. I can’t wait to see what else you do and your work inspires me to do my own projects. Thank you!
The major reason I am continuing to follow this project (besides the amazing use of paper and magnets) is the amount of detail you are using to make your world feel alive- all the extra work is absolutely worth it and i cant wait to watch it over and over again to find and admire those details. Gruff is gonna be amazing, no doubt about it. ❤❤❤
I imagine that once this short film is finished, published and recognize by the public, it could eventually evolve the ways on how IRL prop animations can be made, similar to how Spider verse evolved 3d cgi animations.
I literally can’t wait for this, knowing how much effort and attention to detail went in! This is such a cool skill of yours, being able to do stuff like this.
While what you did was incredibly worth it, and amazing. I personally feel like the drawn "photos" could still work great for (slightly) further background shots and certain points they might not be in focus. Absolutely love watching the process, extremely inspirational
Im not going to lie i loved the detail in the hand drawn ones they looked amazing especially the ballerina one in such a tiny frame it's just amazing its like an old picture in a frame you havent seen in a while whilst the new ones your doing are just as good but look more present day, still i lkve both ideas and the dedication you have to do this movie
This guy is one of those guys whose entire comment section should be full of colors from donations coming in in every currency and amount from all over the world ❤

It's funny, normally claymation/stop animation really freaks me out, but I'm excited to see your short film. The work and dedication and seeing the behind the scenes on your channel is really intriguing! Good luck, I'm looking forward to it.
I love how even though some people wont care about details you still do them while having fun and making it feel more real at the same time Alright who are these npcs that out of nowhere decided to give me 300+ likes? Thanks tho.
the thing is, even if your conscious eye doesn't notices the details, your subconscious will. all those little details will trick your mind into thinking that its real.
@@abiean222That too. And the artistic (or just plain eagle-eyed) viewers _will_ notice them consciously. I also enjoy rewatching and catching the little foreshadowing details that I didn't know to pay attention to the first time. Every one I spot gives me even more appreciation for the creator.
As someone who deals with depth perception issues I love 💕 that you took the time to set up the scene, pose the characters, and take each picture. It brings everything to live. Over 2 years for a short film. I really hope the world appreciates it. I hope it doesn't turns into an underrated master piece. I hope it gets all the spot light. I hope you understand what I am trying to say...
I, along with all who’s watched this journey, are very proud of you for all of the work you’ve put into this project. We all know how much this project means to you, and it’s amazing how you while taking some shortcuts is fine, but you never seem to cut corners. I’m super excited to see how amazing the final product is!
I had to come back after watching the film which was beautiful and gotta say the scene where to pane to these photos hit a lot deeper and harder knowing about this video. Balled my eyes. It just felt more personal.
I watched GRUFF a few days ago, I absolutely loved it! The main story was amazing! The paper people were unbelievable! It was just terrific! Keep going! ❤❤❤
Wow, 2 to over 2 years of dedication and hard work is a long time. I truly admire your patience and talent in your work, it looks amazing. And you still add so much detail even if someone people may not notice it at all, and you have fun doing it too. I hope one day I can create a project like this and have fun doing so just like you have. I look up to you and your sets, I hope many find your channel and look forward to your movie as I do.
“Art to live forever” one of the greatest things said. You’re so right I love art and your animation and hard work put will be remembered by many forever and ever.

I absolutely appreciate the attention to detail in the final short. I plan on rewatching it a couple times just to admire all the detail. Such an amazing and heartwarming film.
I respect and love your art. I feel like we should put the same effort into getting to know the real people in the world and caring about their stories
Seeing the final product, this really made a huge difference and impact. Especially the scene where the photo wall is the focus. 💖 This short was an absolutely beautiful piece of art.
