Coraline is an incredibly complex piece of work that took a total of about 4 years to create. The entire cartoon is done in stop-motion. It's no secret that the creators always leave something out of the original premiere. A lot of footage that took months to spend goes unseen. There are quite a few cut scenes in Coraline as well. Some scenes, reveal Coraline differently than it is shown in the original cartoon, and some add a new essence to the cartoon.

Guys, I know that's a movie and not a TV series or sth. The reason why I used words "episode" and "cartoon" is because English isn't my native language. I was firmly convinced that "cartoon" is the right word. Sorry for my mistake. When I said "episode," I referred to "scene." Now I understand my mistakes. Sorry, and I will fix it in the next videos

anything animated is technically a cartoon, since cartoons are animations. Calling this a cartoon isnt bad. Episode is also a good correlation to scenes, you said it fine. Coraline being from Michigan is interesting because the movie came out in 2009, which is not too far removed when the state's economy got destroyed by the Great Recession. It probably explains why she and her family were moving.

What's interesting about that scene with Coraline's mother asking her to draw something was actually something that happened in the book. When Coraline asked her what she should do when she was bored and she said to draw something. Though in the novel, Coraline tried to draw a mist but couldn't so she wrote the word but spread it out.

The scene where Coraline draws spirals is likely a reference to a scene in the original books where she attempts to draw mist but apparently can't think of how to besides writing the word m i s t in swirly font, especially because it transitions into mist-like spirals in the other world outside the window.
Also, personally, I think the stain on the shirt was probably left there to save time. I'm sure they just reused the puppet and assumed the audience would guess he got a food stain from the dinner they're implied to have had before bed. If anything, the stain would help to imply that food was eaten recently and the father is a kind of clumsy, unkempt person. Apparently they were wrong to assume that-- I had no idea anyone paid that stain any mind lol.

The thing about the coraline and the buggy roses scene, is she still has the poison oak. That was gone after she went to sleep for the first night. The scene also ends with her going to sleep. In the kitchen scene after her and Wybie meet, she says “I almost fell down a well yesterday mom.” Meaning a whole day had passed. The mom could also know about Wybie because he left the doll on their front porch for her. She also never refers to him by name. She says “you’ve already made a friend.” I feel like the only logical place the scene could go, is after they meet. Though if you have any clarification on where it really goes, I’d appreciate that, because I’m trying to make an extended cut of the movie.

I would love to see a Sequel, with Coraline as an Adult with kids… having to revisit the place where she endured all that trauma because maybe her parents are sick, or she’s helping them move into a new home(or nursing home)? But in the process she’s either trying to avoid having her children in the house as much as possible while her mother complains that she never gets to see her grandkids. Just stuff like that, would add so much.
And possible Coraline finding out that children have been disappearing in the area? And realizing that the Other Mother lives and is stronger than ever, when one of(if not her only) child goes missing she finds herself going back into the Other world, which is a trap so that the Other Mother can finally get revenge. Coraline has to reach in to her inner child and outsmart the Other Mother once again. Maybe even go on a tangent about how crappy of a Mother the Other Mother was, for feeding off of her “children” before kicking her ass. Now I dunno about y’all but that sounds like a badass movie to me, I would watch the crap out of it.
Especially if Wybie made an appearance at he end after Coraline and her child escaped the Other World, like “Hi honey” or something and then the movie cuts to black and that’s just it 😂

would be an interesting seque, BUT I would LOVE Prequel, where it goes to showing the beginning of the beldam and how she came to be, and what truly is the tunnel that Coraline is so afraid of? Maybe the Beldam's first victim was the "Boring Blue Boy" centuries before and that is why he isn't seen with the ghost children, or maybe somehow he became that tunnel considering Coraline saying it almost seemed alive and it was constantly changing with the books and the movies. Or maybe the Boring Blue boy is the cat that he tries to save the children but because none of the children listened he became grumpy. I'd love it to be the Beldame's origin story

While this is happening, she is picking the petals off of the flowers. She then finds a spider in the petals, and throws it behind her. It then lands in her mother’s coffee! An she drinks it! But the spider crawls out onto Coraline’s hand. HUGE beldam theory! Maybe that scene has to happen, in a way, in order for the beldam to be present and prepared. We get that information anyways to be fair, but I like that they showed us rather than blatantly telling us in the final product. Her own doll was a spy from the other world already setting the plan into motion for the other mother to get to her. This also shows how neglectful their parents are. We don't exactly know how her parents act, but due to how separated they are it seems like they're divorced or not exactly lovey dovey parents. It will add on more mystery in my opinion

I believe the wholesome scenes would have actually improved the overall delivery of Coraline, as these moments of calm would've given more contrast to what actually went wrong.
The dinner scene makes it seem as Coraline is forcing herself to act "normal" as a defense mechanism to her actually ongoing disgust and depression in her situation, which makes sense given her age.

I recently saw Coraline in 3D at the theatre. They used the mouse dance scene at the end of the movie. It was really well done, especially in the 3D format.

Coraline is my favorite movie. You’ve never watched it then you have to watch the best

My biggest flex is that this movie not only came out the day I was born, it was my childhood favorite movie.

It is also said that in the spider scene, the spider might be the beldam spying in Coraline's life
