Your videos are always the first I go for.. So well presented and great tutorials to follow . Like you I some times struggle to think about what to draw and inevitably I do your videos. Keep them coming please.
It is beautiful! I like your style, and lovely colours. I hope you will be better soon, and I wish you a speedy recovery! Thank you so much for your inspiration - you are great! : )
Thanks for your daily inspiration and I hope you'll be feeling better soon. I see that your are gaining new subscribers on a daily basis, but I think you should encourage your viewers to "hit the like button" at the end of each video. You can explain that more "likes" help to place your videos at the top of the list. We all know how much effort you put into your channel and this is the least we can do to support you.
Thanks so much Lynne, yes we are better now! The last snow has melted! It's a good idea, I always shy away from asking people to hit the thumbs up, but yes should start doing that now that this RUclips journey is becoming a full-time occupation for me :)
I love this video and would think you could post the daily drawing painting exercises often to continue to motivate us. One favor please: along with listing the art tools you are using (thanks so much for that) could you note the nailpolish you are wearing? I know you are changing the focus of this channel but artist hands and nails are definitely relevant and mine need all the help I can find.
Yes I try to make it a habit to add the nail polish link now too! :) I am thinking of starting a painting exercise tutorial the same day of the week, hopefully will kick start it this week to add some structure to the channel :)
Very nice! I'm new to your channel and wondering about your choice of pen vs. pencil. Do you feel the pen gives you more freedom to create an image without the urge to make it perfect or precise? Also, you probably get tired of talking, but I much prefer your soothing voice over the music. The moment the music starts, I start lowering my volume button (probably just me).
Thank you Alan. Fountain pens give me a creative freedom, and it's just a different style. I prefer the look of an ink line to a pencil line, depending on what illustration I am doing. A classic botanical painting of course works with a pencil better. The other stuff I have fun with and try not to take as seriously, and ink does just that for me :)
I am so happy I have found your channel. I was reading reviews about the "Learn to Paint in 30 Days" book, thank you for honest opinion. I would like to know the name of the black pen you are using, looks like a calligraphy pen but I think it is not. Thank youuuuuu!
Lovely video and I like that you’re doing loose sketching. Has your view of the portable painter evolved or changed now that you’ve used it for a while?
I seem to be using it a lot because of the colours that I have specifically picked, mixing them is a straight forward process and makes it fun to use that way. So I am still loving it! I think the true test will be the outdoors. Can't wait to take it out in the garden for the first time when it gets a little warmer and get some illustrating done on location. :)
Your right I have no excuse.... Lol is that a raven quill from Jackson's art supply? What size? I'm expecting my order to show up tomorrow, I placed an order for the two rivers watercolour paper and one of the raven quills You should get a sample of this paper and try it ,it's beautiful! Hugs...Heather 🌹
I think I added a link in the description for this brush. I am trying to add the "art supplies used" in the video links these days so it's convenient for you to click on the products and see them. :)
