What's even more sickening to me is that Suzane was well aware of _what_ her little brother was about to witness and still let him walk in on the crime scene anyways. She may have been having issues with her parents but she knew her brother didn't, he loved her and he loved them. She willingly traumatized her brother for life for a man she wasted no time at all in turning on. Utterly wicked.
I don’t know if Andreas already planned to go to that party, or if Suzanne set it up for her brother just so she could use him as part of her alibi. Either way she’s still a horrid woman for toying with his emotions like that.
Andreas had a hard time after this. He had a drug problem and was dealing with a lot of trauma. But fortunately his uncle helped him out a lot and was there for him. Nowadays he went to study Pharmacy and is living a normal life now, I think he even got married.
Andreas is the real victim here, he lost his parents, his sister, his best friend and his mental health, but he still managed to get a degree in chemistry at Usp (the same prestigious college his parents met and the one his sister got rejected), people who studied with him claimed he was very quiet and discreet, but very intelligent. I wish the best for this man, as for Suzanne, doctors did many psychological tests on her and the woman shows absolutely no signs of regret... I wish she stayed in prison forever (the Cravinhos brothers too)
Just an update on this: Suzanne has been released into open regime after 20 years on good behaviour, seems to be living in a small town somewhere, had a kid or is still pregnant, not sure. Not sure if she married. She went into the courts to try to inherit her parent's fortune but lost. The fortune has been passed solely to Andreas, and it seems it's been administered by some sort of family holding.
Poor Andreas. He lost his devoted parents. He was betrayed by the friend he needed and the sister he loved. It's no wonder it sent him into a downward spiral. I hope if anything good ever comes of this, that it will only go to him. Suzane deserves nothing but misery.
Screw Andreas, he shouldn't lied and covered for his scank sister all those times. His weak character enabled his sister and wicked friend to do the unthinkable.
the whole thing really screwed up his head. He was doing ok for a while, doing really well in one of the best unis in the country, but recently he was on the news because he got caught by police invading some place. Apparently he has really bad case of drug addiction and got send to rehab.
@@Chameleon_daddi He was a teen acting out, sticking up for his sibling, no way he would have known how betrayed he would be and the consequences to his actions would take ... he is a victim and he has to live with this knowledge. I pray that he will be able to find some semblance of peace and happiness
I am from Brazil and this has been one of the most shocking cases ever reported in media in Brazil. She leaves often the jail including in father's day
a friend here in Brazil got to interview her for his PhD thesis. he told me that he had to remind himself regularly that she was a murderer, because she was too charismatic. "She's an interesting character. Very dangerous. She makes you feel like she cares, but she definitely doesn't", he said. And yeah, she can leave prison during mother's and father's day every year. it's wild. 🇧🇷
That’s so wrong that they’re allowed to leave. What’s the point of even having a court system at that point? Do they track down the ones who get away? So many questions.
What? The state is aware that her parents are dead right? Why the hell would they let her out for mother and father’s day? That’s actually kind of sick . I realize it’s probably standard practice for prisoners in general but… a quick look at her records tells you what she is in prison for. C’mon, folks.
I feel bad for Andreas. He lost everything because of what his sister did all because of greed. He could've had a great life instead he's suffering. Don't they have relatives to care for him or maybe even family friends?
Perhaps they determined that he is too broken and destructive to help. He's a grown man now - people leave us behind when we have immense trauma that they can not fathom. They aren't equipped nor qualified to save us from ourselves when we act out with self-sabotage. I'm assuming he had developed a drug addiction - maybe he was too out of control and was left behind. I use "we" and "us" intentionally because to me...no man is an island😔 Edit: I hope he's still with us💜🌷 "No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." - John Donne
Hey! Brazilian here. Thanks alot for your coverage on this case. Few things to add: 1- Suzane actually was already released due good behavior. She got her sentece reduced by 1/5. 2- She was judged unworthy of any assets of her parent, making her brother the sole heir. 3- she is already back at law school, and adopted a new name. That was a major news here in Brazil a couple weeks ago. 4- there is a lot of suspicion that Andreas at least knew about the crime beforehand. However, he was a 13yo kid. I can't imagine the huge dilemma this guy faced.5- Suzanne's grandfather was Baron Von Richthofen, also know as the Red Baron. He was a huge war pilot on the First world War, fighting for the German side. He holds the records dogfights victories on that war, defeating 81 aircrafts from the Allies. Hence, most of their money also came from military pensions for his services on the war. You really picked nice views from Sao Paulo! Thanks a lot for your interest and keep doing awesome videos
Baron Manfred von Richthofen was never married and had no children. I have no doubt they were related, possibly through the younger brother Lothar, but Manfred was not her grandfather. The assertion that "most of their money" came from military pensions is simply absurd.
She was an adult, highly educated and had parents paying all her bills, and somehow she was angry when they threatened to cut her allowance? Meaning she would still be able to go and get a job for herself? It's not just entitlement, it was a refusal to grow up and be independent.
I am Brazilian and I was a child when this happened, but I still remember the news and people shocked by this crime. Unfortunately Suzane is already out of jail and has an online store where she sells handicrafts, Daniel is also free and is married, Christian is still in prison because he committed a new crime, he has a 24 year old son who is in court seeking to remove his last name and paternity from his documents because he is ashamed of being his son
His uncle helped him and now he's studying pharmacy so he's most likely doing okay. Just sucks that she was let out of prison early and is living with relatives
@@arfarishtanahida1538 nop, although she is free now, her brother inherited everything and apparently he is living with his uncle and studying Pharmacy
@floaty cloud He covered for the relationship that ultimately became the motive for his parents' murder. Although his intentions were innocent (he loved his sister and he wanted to help out his friend), no doubt he feels that he is partially to blame.
I can’t believe Suzanne would do this over a guy who had no ambition in life. She threw away her whole life for a guy who wanted to smoke weed and not work. Her brother is suffering the worst of all, because he lost his entire family
She did not throw her life away because of him,it was her own desire to live a luxurious life without anyone to reprimand her or any responsibility to take, she is a psycopath in every sense of the word, multiple times she tried to shift the blame to her boyfriend but the psycological evaluation of the custody agents aways shows she is the only one of the trio who don't show any remorse for the crime, but she is constantly trying to fake in order to get her sentence reduced
Daniel once told Suzane that he had given up on the idea and she talked him back to it by claiming her father had raped her, wich was bullshit,of course.Though to be fair, before that,it was Suzane who had given up and Daniel talked her back by saying he would kill himself if he couldn't have her,so they both manipulated each other, but she was the daughter of the victims,so the cruelty it took for her to do it had to be far greater
She didn't do it for the guy, she just "used" him to get what she wanted: the money. Don't get me wrong, he is a murderer too, but she was the mastermind of it all and it definitely wasn't due to love. This case has been extensively covered here in Brazil. She is a sociopath with little conscience, her boyfriend wasn't.
Update on this case: she's currently held in an open regime, and she's dating a doctor from my hometown. She's pregnant and is planning on naming her daughter Isabella. There's evidence she wanted to name her future daughter that a long time ago, but she's taunting people by saying it's in memory of Isabella Nardoni, a 6 year old girl who was murdered here in Brazil. She says it's because she's friends with the girl's stepmother, who is actually the one who killed her, so everyone is understandably furious. Also, the man who is dating Suzane has two small kids from a previous marriage, and both his ex-wife's family and his own family is forbidding him from having contact with the kids while he's still with Suzane.
"...as, no surprise, being a self-entitled brat does not excuse murdering your parents." Love it when Adrian gets sassy, and this case totally justified that perfect remark.
what makes me so sad is that the parents probably were fighting death so much because they thought that their kids were still in the house and wanted to somehow protect them
I truly hope they didn't realize that their own flesh and blood planned this for them... I hope they're at peace knowing they got justice, if you can loosely call it that. Brazilian law is just like North American Law: FOR THE RICH, BY THE RICH. 🙄
@@NotFalling4it its more or less the result of the newer generations not feelings strife like the previous ones, as cliche as it sounds, suffering does make people kinder and more empathetic
Brazilian here. I'm well familiar with this case and its aftermath. There have been some inconsistencies in the updates about Andreas's condition in different comments, so I'm hoping to clear some things up: - Andreas was indeed taken in by his uncle, but that was right after his parents’ murders and Suzane’s arrest. In the following years, under his uncle's care, he finished high-school and got a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from USP, one of Brazil’s most prestigious universities; he later obtained his PhD from the same institution. A friend of mine studied with him during his undergraduate course. He reminds Andreas as a quiet young man who mostly kept to himself. He also says Andreas was stoned most of the time, though it didn’t seem to impact his academic performance and, as far as I’m aware, we’re only talking about weed at this point. - When Andreas was found incoherent and hurt after breaking into some random people’s homes, that was YEARS after he had finished his education. Some articles in Brazil looked for people who might have known him, and one of his advisors from the university came forward to say he remembers Andreas as a smart, gifted student, but hadn’t heard from him in years. That suggests he abandoned academia in the years in between. When he was found and committed to an institution, it was stated that it wasn't simply a case of mental breakdown, but drug induced. This episode seemed to confirm the rumors that Andreas delved deep into addiction. - The uncle who had raised him stepped up once again to have Andreas committed following this incident. At the time this happened, they were no longer living together and there's no indication if Andreas remained under his uncle's care after being discharged from the hospital. What we know is that several properties owned by the Richthofen state and left to Andreas are now abandoned and the unpaid taxes keep piling up, and the government is unable to reach him. There are rumors that he's currently living abroad, but as far as we know, he just went off the map. We also have no information if Andrea is married as of now.
Kind of scary how you can have a loving family and still off them. I know of many friends who would have wanted a good family and she decided to get rid of hers. Just wow.
@@verreal Meanwhile in another comment "though they may have failed to update the will after he was born" You're just looking for every excuse to point at the parents and haven't said a single thing about the actual monster of the story.
@@thevalorousdong7675 Matricide and patricide are not comitted in happy families. Look up the psychology and the stats in regards to both. Killing either parent is a huge red flag towards the parent/chilkd dynamic. Imagine how bad it had to be to have her kill both ... The drugs and drinking are red flags. So is accepting a bad person into their personal lives. These things do not happen in a vacuum as much as we wish to see things in absolutes.
@@verreal How do you know they didn’t leave anything to Andreas? That was not said in this video at all, it was just mentioned what was there for the daughter if she completed school etc. Don’t just make presumptions! and even worse, make a comment about the parents whom you know nothing about!
@@Kalleesto Sorry but these types of murders do happen in happy families/homes. There’s been cases where a parent has been killed because their child was prevented from seeing someone who they were supposedly in love with. These type of murders do not always indicate there is some dysfunction in the family.
I suggested this case like crazy!!! This case is still very spoken in Brazil! It is even an Amazon film. Her brother was so broken after what she did that he became a crack cocaine addicted and living at the Cracolandia in São Paulo. About the prison system in Brazil, the inmates are allowed to go out in public holidays such as Easter and Christmas just when they have a good behavior, even tho it is not well accepted for the society. Thanks for the great video!
While we don't know what's been going on in Andreas' mind for the past 20 years, I imagine once he learnt of the plot, he blamed himself for bringing his sister's boyfriend into their lives (via the model aircraft hobby, as well as helping him stay in their lives by helping cover for them). That sort of guilt and self-blame without professional help could easily destroy a person.
Very little is reported on him, last I read anything of him myself, he was in and out of drug and alcohol related clinics. He was very much destroyed by it all, his involvement and his sister master plan. The family was not the most loving, but it sheer brutality and his sister use of him did a mental toll that has never healed.
@@b.castilho4011 Not perfect parents, but they clearly meant well for their children. They were even fine with the relationship only until they discovered the BF was a useless freeloader. She used her brother, who stood for her, and then murdered the parents that wanted a bright future for her just for refusing to give her what she wanted, she was just a born sociopath.
a similar case happened in Nebraska back in 04, a teen had a bf now the bf stole money from her mom, so the mom said he wasn't welcome any longer and she wasn't allowed to see him, well daughter spoiled as she is to this day told BF to kill her mother and while he was stabbing her mother to death she took a 6in butcher knife to her 5 year-old baby sister, now the catch to this story id daddy was a government official what rank i dont know but it was powerful or controlling enough like biden making the prosecutors and law enforcement trying to put his boy away for rape and embezzling disappear never even a memory to this pathetic country, anyway his daughter never even got processed, she never even sat in jail overnight, as for the bf he got 20 years= two weeks after the other inmates learned of his brutal crime they put him into the ground, to her Hes not even a memory, so it helps to have a parent in government power, you can get away with murder/ rape embezzling, bank robbery
RIP her parents. They seemed like decent people who just wanted the best for their kids. I know too many people including myself who are mentally screwed up because of bad parents so cases like this always hit me harder.
Yeah it's sad when good parents get treated like crap by their awful kids and when good kids are abused by terrible parents. I hope your life is looking up my dude and it only gets better as time goes on.
This may be a weird comment, but thank you so much for not having background music in your videos, or having it very very quiet. I have a neurological issue that sometimes makes it hard to listen to voices, and it only gets worse with background music. Subtitles help sometimes, but auto-generated CC aren't always perfect. Your voice is soothing and calm without being monotone or boring. And you always provide a respectful, loving detail to the victims' lives, rather than glorifying the killer like some other channels do. Both of these factors make Coffeehouse Crime my favorite true crime channel, thank you Adrian.
This is horrible. She seemed to have a great life she had so much. A good family a good education, she was going to have alot of money. I grew up with not much and was emotionally and physically abused by my mother. As bad as it was I NEVER thought about doing anything to my parents.
@@nani_bow3489 no restraints means endless greed. Only the best of people could resist the urge. When you consider the modern day first world middle to upper class woman is given almost endless opportunity.
I just want to add that the fact that "she seemed to cry a lot less than her brother" can’t be seriously taken as a hint for anyone’s guilt, as people grieve very differently. The much more important observance here is her change of demeanor as soon as cameras were around. Indications like this will reveal a person’s true face rather than than the display of tears/ emotions. Thanks for providing this crime case. I just subscribed.
Indeed. I don’t cry nor get sad when a murder case happens, only angry and vengeful. I wish more people were as smart as you. Acting like you care by crying and sobbing deceive so many to believe that you do care (bunch of idiots to be honest)
It's all in the eyes, look somebody in the eyes and you will see (almost) everything. Lies are easely discoverd by looking at someones face and in the eyes, you just need to know what to look for. Bodylanguage is something that is really difficult to hide, specially the eyes.
When my grandfather passed away, my mother did not shed a single tear throughout the funeral. Days after he had passed she finally broke down and started crying and could not stop for a very long time.
@@tasfirdose5084 Exactly. Sometimes shock sits too deep and blocks any emotions. And sometimes people just "switch" into survival mode so that they can "function" as long as it’s needed. So crying shouldn’t be a measurement of grief. However, the difference of people‘s behavior between the moments where they feel unobserved and where they have everyone’s attention can tell a lot.
Omg she was released in 2023 and now lives with a Doctor and had her first child in January 2024! She should have been locked up for life! What a monster 😲😲

Yes and no, the real murderer was within the family! She put them up to it and instigated it as evidenced by her lack of emotions at their funeral. It's amazing what some men will do at the behest of a woman...
@@snaz27 i lost my Dad to an illness and didn’t cry the entire funeral, because I was so focused on being a rock for my Mom and Grandma (his mom), so not crying on a funeral isn’t evidence, everybody has different coping mechanisms, I cried the entire day after the funeral
@@anikp92 - That alone, no, but when all the other evidence is taken into consideration it definitely lends weight to the fact she was heavily involved. You didn't kill your Mum or have any involvement in her death. Completely different situation.
@@snaz27 That was not Anik's point at all. The point was that a person exhibiting visible signs of grief, or lack thereof, is evidence of nothing, as different people experience and deal with grief differently. That the person had something to do with the deceased's death or not has nothing to do with this. For example: When my grandfather passed away, I was completely unaffected, inside or out, for a long time. It wasn't until after I carried him to his grave and was at my grandmother's house after the funeral, and she handed me his watch, that I finally broke down. He was the closest family member I've ever lost and I loved him a lot, perhaps more than anyone else in my family, living or not. His death was also very unexpected, as he wasn't that old, only being 64. It's like I went numb for that time, subconsciously allowing me to function until the stuff that needed to get done was taken care of.
As a Brazilian myself... This case shows how Brazilian Justice is messed up. And he's is right. One of the things about this that scares me the most is envisioning her going in to check on her parents to see if they were asleep.. you would think as a normal human we as children or anyone would check on their parents to see if they’re sleeping to just maybe check in on them but she was seeing if they were asleep so she could orchestrate murdering them, that thought alone is unfathomable to me.
i check on my mum every night out of habit (she's old and i wanna make sure she's breathing), that sent a shiver down my spine. the only thing i think of is worrying about whether my mum is sleeping comfortably, i can't imagine thinking of plotting her murder.

Alternatively, tell them they're getting the inheritance but that there's a clause in your will that if you die under /any/ kind of suspicious circumstances all the money goes to a cat shelter. Kids will pay for your bodyguard themselves.
My father told me everything his brother has is going to him, and when he dies, I get all of that. Years ago, and I've still no intentions of murdering him or anyone. Some people are just unstable. And I need money and circumstances have me living with him till I can get a place of my own. It's also depressing living with him because he just mindlessly watches tv from when he gets home till he goes to bed.
You’re videos keep me company and entertained as I try to enjoy some rest and relaxation for the winter season here in the states. Love the great work that you do!
She won’t get the money. A judge many years later (2015 i think) ruled she has no right to it anymore and excluded her from the inheritance. But I think the judge went by analysing her specific case and Brazil doesn’t have an official law for cases like this… which is so crazy.
The photos from the funeral show Suzane wearing a bare midriff/crop top. Who wears that to your parents funeral. I don't care how old you are. That seems extremely disrespectful to me.
@@leahvogelsimpson At the time this happened here in Brazil this really stood out to me. I also thought it was weird as fuck. I don't know how anyone could do this to their Mum and Dad- and go on with their life. It just illustrates how little we can potentially know anyone. This poor Brother. It's nice to read in the comments, that his Uncle is so supportive- and he's now living a full and happy life, despite the grief and trauma that no doubht plagues him 💔
I am baffled that she's released already and even more so that she's married (m. 2023) and has a kid. A dangerous woman while some (good) women don't even find a spouse. Life is so strange!

He's a champ. I wouldve probably hanged myself if something like this happened to my family, no amount of money could ever make me happy again. Gotta admire his strength for pulling through this nightmare...
It's even worse because he was pointed as the "most likelly killer" by media for the first several days because "he knows tech and was playing violent games all Day, he's obviously more suspicious than the girl who was fucking at the time"... The video didnt talk about it because the cops never fell for the bait (his sis payed him a couple hours in a Lan House so he would be outside at the time of the crimes, and he was seem in the security câmeras there), but for the more Religious-Conservative media (that is like half of the famous criminal journalists here in Brazil) the idea of this kid who was playing Counter Strike, had his parents killed by a insider and didnt cry during the burrial (probably from sheer shock and trauma) was just too tasty. Being bashed like a criminal during the fucking week his parents died, only for his Sister and friends to be found the murderers... must've been a fucking roaller coaster for him.
We had spent some days believing that her parents were murdered by a robber or something, but when the police and the District Attorney denounced her for murdering her parents, also involved her then-boyfriend and his brother. We got shocked. Not so many days earlier she was sobbing desperately over their coffins and her brother too (emphasizing that her brother did not have anything to do with this). Unfortunately, some years ago I saw on television that her brother was caught using drugs and he was really all turned apart, I hope he's doing well today.
right? they're not even being unreasonable either. they had an issue with his drug habits causing him to be lazy and the fact he introduced himself with lies, not that he was poor or came from a poor background. she spent an entire month doing drugs and having her boyfriend move in, again, *they weren't being unreasonable* . genuinely can't understand how people can be so entitled. i get desperation but is killing your family worth it? how would it be worth it when you know you'll get caught and end up in jail? her parents didn't deserve that. :( i also feel so bad for her brother, she knew she was sending him into the crime scene. imagine giving your brother trauma and killing your parents over a BUM A** LOSER with no ambition and goals! i am appalled. couldn't be me. i have morals and standards.
This reminds me of the case of Jennifer Pan- Her parents didn’t approve of her boyfriend so they staged a robbery to kill them, only difference is this case is more financially motivated than anything and the father didn’t survive in this case either.. R.I.P to the victims, I can’t imagine how painful it is to raise someone just for them to murder you..
Get married, make kids, give them everything, it'll be fine, they said... yeah, sometimes life really bits you in the ass where it hurts the most, even if you try to do everything right. I want no kids at all, thank you... there are way more than enough people on this screwed planet already.
I'm also Brazilian and this case it's very shocking to all people that live here.. Now she claims to be a very religious person and that she has changed. Honestly, what it's worse about this situation are what we call "Prison Holidays" (which means prisioners can go out and later "come back" during festive days) She even left the prison on Father's day this year. Since 2021 she's attending college (Biomedics) and even using public transport to go there.... in other words, this is just ridiculous to all of us.

YES, FINALLY, this case is probably one of the most famous here in my country. To me the saddest thing is her brother, he ended up as an addict, suffering from extreme PTSD and dropping out of a successful career in chemistry.
Andreas today is a successful PHD in chemistry and well positioned in the market. That day he was found drugged it was a day he was going to meet up with Susane after 10 years of not seeing her, and he had a breakdown.
Hello just a little correction. Suzane won’t get her family money because there is a law here in Brazil that if a person commits a crime against family or spouse for the inheritance, the justice system can block it. In this case Andreas is the solo sucessor. Great video, I admire how much care and respect you put in your writing. Keep the good work!
That's great to hear, I was wonder why Andreas would not inherit the estate. Letting the criminal inherit the money just makes it more likely that other's would do that same.
Just on a note, I think she was legally denied inheritance by a court of law not long ago. She had also given it up in name of Andreas, who sued her first. She had married a murderer woman in prison as well. The only one still in full-time jaile is Cristian. Maybe do Daniela Perez one day. It's another shocking case. Great video Adrian ⭐️
I believe she is free now...since 2018. I think she could claim some of the money as some of the money was in her name anyway...but don't count me on that though please.
@Camvin there are rumours of big money in her name in Switzerland, but it was never declared to the authorities in Brazil so, if truly there she will be the solo beneficiary, but the existence of the money wasn't confirmed. She was granted semi-open regime, which indicates she can leave prison everyday and come back at night, but apparently, she refused it to stay with the new wife who is in full-time jail. Suzanne is also granted time away on Easter, Xmas, father's and mother's day. At this occasions she can stay a few days out of prison and has been seeing partying, etc. This is due to years of good conduct and work in prison. Poor Andreas, man. He didn't deserve such a horrible person as his sister. I can only imagine what goes on in his brain with what happened. Hopefully he can recover and live a good rest of his life.
Andreas is doing OK, he went to university etc. Suzanne is highly manipulative and extremely charming, she always finds people to do what she wants. She had many privileges in prison. I remember watching an interview with her in prison with local media and the interviewer asked her to send a message to her brother and she looked at the camera and said she loves him bur her eyes were so dead and cold, it gave me chills. And she loves the cameras and the attention she gets every time she leaves prison for a couple of days

It is something called "Release on Temporary Licence" which means being able to leave the prison for a short period of time. ROTL for short. The different circumstances I mentioned are, for instance, to take part in paid or unpaid work; to see children for whom you were the sole carer before you entered prison; because a family member is seriously ill or even to help you settle back into the community before you are released..

It's strange indeed... I think that these kinds of rules exist to prevent inmates from being troublesome. People who have nothing to lose may be less easy to handle. I also think prisons are not there for "punishing" people the way "hell" would work (as in heaven vs hell), but rather as a social service (i.e. isolation from the rest of society). If the rule helps, it's better for the system, albeit frustrating for the victims.
@@kimgysen10 I think I understand the reasoning. If they have something to lose, and something to gain, they're less likely to cause the prison system and society once they get out any problems. And with the likelihood of getting 17 million once she gets out, that's a big incentive to make sure my sentence isn't increased and she behaves in prison.
Suzane had everything. Literally everything! I really don’t understand her motivation for murdering her parents. She could even leave for another city or move countries cause her family had resources for that. Even if she was coerced, it takes way more to convince someone to murder their own parents
She's a psychopath and some theories even suggest she's the one who was manipulating Daniel and planned everything. She's just... Fucked up. Had no motives. Just evil.
She could’ve have a terrible upbringing. In my opinion, the obvious drug problems, mixed with the overachieving record, her parents probably put way to much emphasis on her having to be perfect all the time. This can even be seen in how skinny she is. Having to have a perfect image, perfect grades, perfect looks. She probably turned towards drugs and alcohol to cope with all the stress and pressure, and couldn’t live up to her parents expectations

The sad thing is that there are misandrist who keeps blaming the brother for not controlling his life after what his sister did

I feel sorry for the brother. He seems to be an empathic and very descent man. I really hope he can heal from the trauma his sister put him through.
I feel bad for Andreas. He lost everything because of what his sister did all because of greed. He could've had a great life instead he's suffering. Don't they have relatives to care for him or maybe even family friends?

Least obsessing woman over a bad boy.
So nothing changed ! She still evil!

Brazilian here. I'm well familiar with this case and its aftermath. There have been some inconsistencies in the updates about Andreas's condition in different comments, so I'm hoping to clear some things up:
- Andreas was indeed taken in by his uncle, but that was right after his parents’ murders and Suzane’s arrest.

Very true

We had spent some days believing that her parents were murdered by a robber or something, but when the police and the District Attorney denounced her for murdering her parents, also involved her then-boyfriend and his brother. "A relative of the German World War I flying ace known as the Red Baron has been sentenced to 39 years in jail for killing her wealthy parents in Brazil. Suzane von Richthofen, 22, whose father was a great nephew of fighter pilot Baron von Richthofen, was found guilty of the murders by a Sao Paulo court."
The best families have their secrets. Don't be that naive. 😄
Wow, so hyped by seeing you covering a case from my country! Just a little fix, in 2002 the BRL was worthing roughly 2,5 USD, so the mansion was worthy roughly 1.2 mil USD, they were pretty well set, specially by the brazilian standards.
Good point! I didn't realise BRL has changed so much against the USD since then!
Just to add further knowledge, Suzanne won't receive any money she was supposed to. Her brother's lawyers make it sure that he is the solo inherent of everything the family had.
She's even studying in a university now. She was Interviewed on TV a while back and said she loves her mother and If she was alive she would support her. Please do Daniela Perez next, her killer served 9 years and is a church minister now. He even invited his victim's mom to his wedding. 🤮🤮
If someone can become a minister after a horrendous crime shouldn't that give the message that *almost anyone* is capable of getting their life back together?
@@djm5687 no it gives the message that ANYONE can become a minister
@@birdie9240 this, i think people get this whole religion thing in a twist, pastors who get caught touching kids are bad people, being a pastor doesn’t have your sins figured out, maybe up there it does but down here a pastor is just another volunteer job assholes are still in the churches
@@djm5687 no it proves you shouldn't trust anyone hiding behind a title because they're pretending to be someone they're not
woow.. if this is accurate, this should be on MrBallen's channel under the title "stories that sound fake but are 100% real"
That's so weird about Brazil's court system. It's like, ima murder my parents then go out and party for the holidays then go back to jail? What a joke!
That also exists in the US under different circumstances.
No, it doesn't, give me an example, what circumstances?
It is something called "Release on Temporary Licence" which means being able to leave the prison for a short period of time. ROTL for short. The different circumstances I mentioned are, for instance, to take part in paid or unpaid work; to see children for whom you were the sole carer before you entered prison; because a family member is seriously ill or even to help you settle back into the community before you are released..
The jails there and other places are not what you think,,, they have dances and drinking for the inmates on the weekends and holidays,,,, conjugal visits and family day is Sundays,,,the inmates run the jails,,, they are wierd.
@@yasa8590 Not in the South its not…
Adrian, great job of covering all of your crime stories. You are now at 1.3 million subs in a shortest time is amazing! Your tasteful narration is breath of fresh air.
Thank you for putting this horrible crime on the map, and yes, it's a shame our laws, here a murderer walks out the front door of the police station after confessing to a crime. She is the mastermind behind everything, manipulative, this woman's personality is unbelievable!
Inherited grandma's fortune, she's out of jail and rich, she doesn't care about anyone!
My grandpa worked side by side with Manfred... It was a shock to everyone, I've read some books on the case and about Suzane, she's a true psychopath. She even had an affair with her lawyer AND the prosecutor in order to get more benefits in jail
And with some Girls in prison
@@maramarxx2431 yep, she dated "Sandrão", who was kinda the "boss" of the female prison and used to date a woman who killed her step daughter

Isn’t it odd that the mother was a psychiatrist and didn’t see any red flags with her daughter?
Your channel, Mr. Ballin, and that chapter are my true crime channels. All three of you guys put up excellent content and have a gift with storytelling
Im so happy to see this channel grow. You do a wonderful job. You and Mike from that chapter are my favorites.
I agree! two best true crime channels for sure!
Mike’s style is not my cup of tea. I think Adrian’s approach is respectful!
@@MT-dh2tr YES! Mike is trying to add borderline comical touches at each and every point. With the victims being (partially) on the receiving end every once in a while.
I concur
Life insurance dance!!
Single handedly destroyed her brothers life and now lives a normal life. That’s crazy.
I live a few hours away from the city where this case happened, and I watched live every single step of the investigation.
A few years ago, two movies premiered and told the story, one on Suzanne’s pov and one on her boyfriend’s. Watching both movies makes you question so much of the reality about the parents’ death. Thank you for studying and treating with such respect the victims
What are the movies called?
@@truemajority The original names are “a menina que matou os pais” and “o menino que matou meus pais”
@@truemajority In english "The boy who killed my parents and The girl who killed her parents" Watch them in the order I put, they are from both perspectives. Think they are on amazon video.
As a Brazillian, this case is very infuriating, especially as the Brazilian justice system that's is very weak to say the least. But I'm glad it's being recognized worldwide. Nice work!
💩💩
Yeah, that is pathetic. Vacations? Really? I thought the USA was bad but that is just sad. They should be in prison for life.
In America they protect and serve criminals. I wonder where in this world that a country will not tolerate evil 🤔
Why was Suzane allowed to live free for FOUR YEARS until her trial started, but the guys were locked up and not afforded the same privilege?
Rich white girl.
Great Question!
@@FDJUwe Why YES, you're indeed correct. If you're Mexican, black or any other race, prepare to be screwed

Very well directed and very well produced. Glad I found you.
Class, I love seeing a case pop up from Coffeehouse Crime. You put in so much hard work, Adrian, and some of these cases are ones I've never heard of, thanks for broadening my views on True Crime
Newcastle tonight! Let's go! YNWA
Vacations, holidays ans parties while serving time for murdering your parents! You've got to be kidding! What kind of punishment is that? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is appalled at this.
Oh yeah, thank you for another welll told true crime video. You make listening to these horrific crimes easily understood and are presented fairly and without prejudice. Again I thank you for all you do.

I think I understand the reasoning.
@@cookiedoughpie1 Doesn't excuse murder.
@@cookiedoughpie1 What a stupid comment trying to justify a double murder of her parents they were beaten with metal bars and strangled whilst she waiting in the living room. She is an evil coward.
This channel was recommended to me because I watch the RUclips channel, That Chapter, but this is a pretty solid channel as well. Videos are organized and well thought out. I also admire how much respect you pay to the victims. I’ll definitely subscribe for the stories you tell from abroad. Cheers
As a parent stories like this genuinely hurt. All we want is the best for our kids while unconditionally loving them and sometimes this is how they turn out. Sad for the son and dead parents.
Wow.. I never felt this sad for "third", uninvolved victim like in this story. Poor little brother ... left behind all alone and broken...
-"Dude, wherever you are, I pray for you "-...🤲🏻
As the video says, Suzaen can go out of prison on holidays, including mother and fathers day. Brazilian criminal laws are a joke.
I would give anything to have my Dad back for one day and this heartless chick just threw hers away. Infuriating and gross.
