How a Daughter Allegedly Killed Her Entire Family for Money

- In November 2015, Amy Vilardi, visibly distressed, spoke on television about finding her mother and three family members murdered in South Carolina. Accompanied by her stoic husband, Ross Vilardi, she insisted they were innocent. However, her assertions would later become ironic as events unfolded.

Elderly mother? Her mother was 59!
@@aaa4181give it a few years and it won’t
elderly people are easily 65+ like that's when the senior discounts start lol @@aaa4181
Haha. I'm 65 this year. Sometimes I do feel elderly. 75 and up is elderly.
@@aaa4181maybe you WILL be elderly at that age but some folks aren’t.
Elderly is a state of the body not an age.
It took me all of 5 seconds to know she was lying. Not a single tear, scream, or emotion. Husband too just staring into space.
Staring into space 😮
I saw that duping delight smirk on her face too
I know. This is about as low as it gets.
Yes, and he looks to be smiling under that stoic facade
No emotion does Not mean a thing
Remember Lindy Chamberlain
Why did they not think it would look suspicious having no money to all of a sudden paying off nearly all their debts. Its disgusting how far people will go and I'd rather have my parents and struggle than have no parents and be better off
On the very day she found her parents too!!
Why did it take EIGHT years?!
Same. I don’t think I would be able to carry on if I lost my parents.

She looked happy as hell
So that was not just me. I figured the same. Duping delight. Gross
The duper’s delight on her face In that opening clip!!! Not a single tear shed during that performance😢
I'm two years shy from some schmuck describing me as, "elderly"...anyone else concerned by this?
I hear ya sister.

Well, I’m 71 so I must be decrepit!
Don't care about labels then😊
I’m 69. Yep.
I like the way you recognize and extend condolences the victims at the beginning of each episode.
It’s far too uncommon on true crime channels.
Me too
This is crazy! Eight years went by and all of a sudden the new sheriff comes on board and they’re able to arrest them for murder. What changed in eight years that they were able to finally be able to arrest them? This just looks like the case was not really handled very well at the beginning. Somethings really odd about this.
They were always able to be arrested, American cops just not very bright
Cold Justice on Oxygen. They called them in to help. It just aired a few weeks ago...there are two parts. It is more informative.
When I lived in SC, it was incredibly corrupt in many counties.
Crying with no tears being produced is a dead giveaway that Amy is guilty to some extent.
I absolutely agree. Fake crying=guilty.
True that! It is not possible to cry from the heart without tears. Period!

They never left the country try nor tried to flee because of all the 10 years it took to apprehend them, they never thought it would happen. Heck, they were rewarded so soooooo soon with monies from her mom's estate.
Yep.
I live in South Carolina not far from where this happened, and i knew the night they were killed, the daughter was involved. Her live interview that night was unbelievable! 🙄
The whole town is full of corrupt, evil people. The sheriff is just as bad to
Damn.. there's been so much evil coming out in SC the past few years. Alex Murdaugh was from SC and this case I've been following John Paul Jr. a pastor from SC is being investigated because his wife's suspicious "suicide." Both cases involved people "knowing" too much and financial gain. It's sad what this world is coming too.
4 adults living in a trailer with $87K in cash. Weird.
😢😮
Not really
A lot of ppl hoard cash at home. If he was a gold dealer then he needed it to be accessible at all times when he couldn't get into a bank box. I keep going back and forth on this issue... good or bad? My husband brokered a business purchase years ago and the buyer showed up with over $100,000 in cash. I guess she may have been siphoning it off of one of her retail businesses so she didn't have to report it but I would think it would eventually catch up with you.
They might have just felt secure living together, especially at their ages. Sadly it didn’t help.
It’s better than buying $400k house and struggling…
She looked like she was partially smiling in her interview.
Can't believe it took eight years to arrest these two. And just because they didn't flee during that whole time doesn't mean squat. In fact, that would make them look more guilty than they already do. I'm sure they thought if they weren't immediately -- or soon after the murders... say within three months -- arrested, they weren't going to be.
Hope justice will eventually be served for these four poor souls. How awful!
Anyhow, thanks for the video; haven't heard of this case before.
Have a good one!
Why would anyone murder their beloved parents,,I can never understand that, because I love mine with all my life and I will never hurt a strain of their hair.

Well done. I live in the area and have kept up with this one. Definitely a lot of unanswered questions here. However, one thing not in question here is their guilt!
How can anybody kill their mother. My mom died at 89 October 20th 2022 and I miss her terribly. I have some of her ashes in a cross pendant necklace that I were every day
They killed them on Halloween and their wedding colors were red and black...
So she is not only evil and spoilt/entitled, she also has no taste. Red and black. Reminds me of the wedding flowers I used to have to design in Philly for the children of mobsters. 😆
Pretty telling

The love of money*
Money in the right hands can do a lot of good.
Thank @Jesus. People always quote this incorrectly, which changes the focus of the proverb.
Wrong quote. Money is neutral, not good or bad.
The correct quote is:
The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.
Honestly though its really messed up that the cops can indefinitely seize assets even after thorough forensics have been done on them. Policies like these could devastate families that are struggling or already in poverty or homelessness.
It was evidence of an Open Criminal investigation.. now if it was your family killed off and the killers not brought to justice you wouldn't be saying this.. Pendleton ..especially back when this happened was a super small town and everyone knows everyone.. she her and her man were on everyone's tounge about the deaths..
Pigs make peoples lives harder constantly
Yep. Just another tactic the police use to legally rob you. Shit is sad and people should be outraged about that, but they aren't until it happens to them.
There are resources to help financially assist the victims/families of victims in such situations. This information is provided by the police and/or DA's office very early on. (Edited for spelling)

You know they are the killer when they say I knocked on the door to a parents home.. My Dad would think I was crazy if I knocked on his door.. He would leave me on the doorstep knocking all day and looking like a fool 😅
That doesn't mean anything tho... Not everybody has that type of relationship with their parents. You can still be in your parents life without being in a space where you can just walk into their home
I know this may seem crazy, but not all families are the same. My parents keep their doors locked.

What evil greed motivates such a shocking crime. And how do the murderers live with themselves afyer commiting their deeds

Rest in peace to the victims in this case~
So this happened a week after the wedding. Guess she didn't like their wedding gifts
She let them foot the bill then offed them. Nice girl.
Her mother wasn't invited to the wedding from what I understand.
Little brother took advantage of our parents early Alzheimer's Disease to take their money. His child wife left him after their spree. Though long divorced, at 60 he signed a will for the ex-wife. Six months later he was dead and she has gotten away with it so far. Greed. Little sister depended on her parents so got cut off and became homeless, dying in my home once her drinking/drugging ran its course. "Family" is a wonderful thing.
The husband looks like he has no idea what’s going on or where he is. Like completely brain dead.
Her husband never smiles, she had to put a smile on his face in that one photo. Creepy dead eyes
So, they’ve got no murder weapon, no forensic evidence, family members with money that may or may not have come from the deceased person’s home, and a missing voicemail message that might be the result of a technical error or might never have happened. I certainly hope they have something more up their sleeves.
After 8 years, I’m sure they do.
who has and spends a dead man's money the day after he's killed?

there are utterly heartless sociopaths amongst us and we can go decades, lifetimes, never knowing. it may be someone you know, your parent, your child, your spouse. they know how to put on a convincing mask of humanity. they are so much more common than most people understand.

Why expect tears from intentional murderers?
This case is so predictable a child could solve it. 87 thousand living in a trailer with a dog shop that looked like a dump.

I would love for my kids to not know how much money there is but how do I hide the Porsche and house in the upper suburbs and how will they think their private school is paid for?

Maybe I watch too many of these, but it's kind of obvious who did it - the fact they got away with it for so long is amazing.
Decievers delight, gives it away that involuntary smile, she cant help
I find it odd that Amy was able to immediately profit from the deaths. Usually when the police suspect someone from the start who also stand t😢profit, they immediately inform entities that the payee is a suspect in turn crime.
How the hell did it take 8 YEARS to arrest?? Granted, I am basing my opinion solely off of the facts shared in this video. So if this video shares ALL publicly released facts for both prosecution & defense, then it’s absolute insanity that it took so long for justice to fall! I honestly struggle to understand the state of the world these days. I wish those who loved these 4 people all the love, support & strength. The hole left from losing them will never go away, but getting the much deserved justice love & support will make that hole seem just a little smaller. Grieve their loss as much & as long as you need, but always remember the good as that will keep the memory of them bright in your heart & mind.
I can't believe I missed this true crime episode.Never heard of this case before.

On the Oxygen network there is a show called Cold Justice. Season 7 is out and there are two episodes about this case called House of Horrors Part 1 and 2. It gives a lot more information. Amy told Ross in a text that the lights were on and they were all up...there is so much more...
When my father died of natural causes, the police took all his guns. He had been a Park Ranger and could carry a gun, but I don’t have a handgun permit and this is NY, so they just took our guns and gave us nothing in return.
Perhaps these two were smarter than I was and they grabbed all the things the police would confiscate because you know the police would decide that lots of cash would have to go with them for some reason… that’s the only reason I have any doubts.
I'm sorry. That's terrible.

We are constantly told not to have prejudices against gypsies, against muslims right out from the mountains of Afghanistan or the deserts of Somalia or against people living in trailers with arms stamped with tattoos. And yes, generalizing is not fine for those who have nothing to blame themselves for. Yet... Sometimes it is not really a mystery how all these prejudices were born. It's not that they are completely frivolous. Often, not always there is fire where there is smoke.
She seems so unconcerned in the interview. Not a tear, and almost a smile. Like she knew she’d get away with it.

Got to love the defence "liers"!
Hold on. How did this lady not hear any blood-curdling screams from four people who were getting beaten and stabbed, not to mention gunshots when she lived right across the way from them??? I'm saying it's not alleged; it's a fact, and her new hubby was probably behind it as well cuz one woman probably would have low odds of doing that to four people, older or not... especially a man.
only in a physical fight - a gun means she can kill 4 people
