Cmon man Country Gold Doug Stone This video and song gets better with time Doug was one of the country greats. He’s had a difficult life but he has so many good country songs. His voice is really good
This is from a time back when country music could reach in to your soul and make you feel what they sang about or you might have been going through the motions of this song and said hey I can identify with this.... But them day's is long gone now it's skinny jeans and catfish dinners with some girl they just met rollin on 25's what happened to real country music. Doug stone we loved you then and now you never got the recognition you deserved by record labels or other country artists of that time but in my opinion you was one of the best in the late 80's to the mid 90's
ruclips.net/video/eLKW5QSAWo4/видео.html Meet Fred eaglesmith and the feelie uppers. Alan Jackson covered one of his songs, freight train, georgia overdrive is another good one. Look for my 41:09 time stamp comment in the video there for a good rendition of that.
The Jukebox was from my collection and the idea of the record labels and the pressing plant was also my contribution for the video. It was great fun. I still have Hatch Show Print posters we used... In those days I was using a number of my jukeboxes for movies, videos and album art. In the eighties and early nineties many country music videos were shot in the bars and clubs in Nashville. I'm in quite a few of them and I'm always drinking at the bar or at a table. My mom said I was typecast...LOL.
80's-90's country is my favorite era for the genre. It was just a different time and place. I really miss it I can't stomach this new stuff Nashville is churning out these days.
He'll yeah drinking some cold ones thinking of you dad miss you I'm glad u raised me to a tough man and work for wat I got god bless everyone here listening real damn country merica
Well I know for a fact that Doug Stone killed his own music. Back in 2000, he decided you couldn't buy any of his new music anywhere except at his concerts. I was at a concert when he made the announcement. Where a large group of us stood in the rain after the concert because he was supposed to sign autographs and two hours later a road crew guy came and said Doug didn't feel well and would not be coming back out of the bus. Could have told us that two hours before and before the rain started. I haven't liked him since. Only found him to show my son some of the music I used to listen to.
I remember hearing/reading he was dead 20 or 25 years ago too. But nope! Still picking & a-grinnin' at 62! www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.Nsf/snames/Stone+Doug

Let's imagine you are some big-shot in Hollywood, or wherever the HELL they make the decisions about what music actually gets recorded. How in HELL do you choose the CRAP they are producing/releasing TODAY versus this kind of music? Sometimes it feels like they will never stop until every music genre sounds like rap/hip-hop. I'll never understand it, because there won't be any stations playing music from 2020 on SiriusXM in the future. You know why? Because the kids listening to this crap aren't paying for it - - their parent's are. And when it comes time for the kids to be on their own, well, they are Socialists, so they will get "Big Brother" music of "...and this is why we all are in this together, for the state and for the family and whatever...."
Doug Stone is a true legend of early 90’s country and a survivor of life
This is one of the most underrated country songs of all time.

Now it's just country rap. I'm very thankful I was a teenager in the early to mid 90s. The kids today won't know what real country music was.

They definitely need warning labels on today’s country music, warning people not to listen.

Agreed. Wise words from a wise man. They put pop in my country and strait ruined it.
