It's so funny how Rex and Matthew get "guides to making them broken" and Glimmer gets the title of "the Ultimate Support" and then Shulk just gets "the Shulk Guide" lmao
@@ZephyrK_ I made Nikol my emergency medic lol. Since he’s so tanky, you could give him Memory Locket and speedup revival to bring back anyone who happens to fall Edit: Lol, that’s p much what Enel’s guide was about
Shulk is arguably the most underwhelming evasion tank I've ever played in the series. It would've been easier for him to keep aggro if he had remained an attacker.
"A kitharode or citharist, was a classical Greek professional performer of the cithara." She's the daughter of an Aegis which when in her ultimate form takes on a Greek name. TAKAHAAAASHI
tbf, I feel that's more on the localizers, considering the Aegis' name in the JP-version of 2 is "the heavenly grail", leaving only really the "Pneuma"-part. Wouldn't be suprised if the name of Glimmers class is also completely different in Japanese with no references to Greek.
It's legit hilarious how the main form of tanking in FR is having Rex get all the aggro because he gives XC2 Fiora a run for her money, have him die, and then have Glimmer revive him. Parents and their kids really do work best together. While allowing Rex's class would snap Base 3 in half, especially with even more tools at the players dissposal, part of me does want to see Mio spam Double Spinning Edge like her Dad lmao.
Part of the reason Rex (and Matthew, but less so) is the main aggro hog is because the defenders in Future Redeemed leave a bit to be desired. Unfortunately this is likely a symptom of Xenoblade 3 being itself since most defenders in the base game would have trouble getting aggro from the attackers.
A lot of them were Kevesi. Kevesi classes tended to suffer in general because they had zero bonuses for Canceling outside of listed Art bonuses, which is a big oversight IMO.
@Zipper Man with how high Rex's crit rate is and all good multi hit arts, he would benefit immensely from Frenzied Combo. Not to mention the stronger buffs and equipment in the base game. If we could get his class, it would easily assert itself as one of, of not the top attacker class. But let's be real here, Xenoblade 3 is already pretty ridiculous with how easy it is to beat superbosses in less than 20 seconds.
the only way that would be possible is if she had an art that would recharge on crit (inherited from Rex) and heal on hit (inherited from Nia) but that would break the game that Nia would retire from being a lifesage and Noah would be given the eternal tag of bottom
20 seconds into the video, and you're so right that Rex can do 1000000 damage, die, get revived, and immediately do another 1000000 damage (which I fully believe is how Rex would canonically fight with his daughter). Especially with Devotional Necklace, Glimmer can revive someone and instantly get them to max hp. I've also had some fun with Nopon Strap spamming buffs.
I wouldn't be surprised if break resistance in FR wasn't actually that different from the base game, but it just feels way higher because you don't have access to Ogre's reaction resist down skill. I had Matthew equipped with a Break Brooch from basically the moment I picked one up, and while there were definitely still some times I struggled to get breaks off they weren't that hard to get all things considered
I swear the chord she plays when using flare aria sounds exactly like the Windows XP error sound. I still feel a brief spike of alarm every time I hear it, even 25 hours in.
Oh thank god it's not just me. I love playing as Glimmer (for some reason I find it fun to play as healers) but that sound took a lot of getting used to.
I like to use the accessory that increases recharge if a non-defender is targeted since Rex exists. It has allowed me to keep Rex alive for a lot longer than you would expect. I also used A and Shulks unity combo that increases accuracy and evasion for the whole party. A lot of attacks also missed because of that.
Fr, I can *not* keep agro off him. Both of Fiora’s family members are trying so hard to wrestle the agro off his clutches and he just says “let’s show ‘em a thing or three” and doesn’t let go of it
Glimmer was my second character I tried to max out as a priority after Rex, seeing her kit I figured she had really good skills to synergize with some support gems and more offensive oriented buffs. Between Glimmer topped up, A pretty decently upgraded A and Nikol with as much block rate and memory locket I almost always had someone up for reviving. But more importantly, it takes a daughter to support her father's terrible spinning addiction.
Man, I get mad everytime I'm reminded of enemy debuff resistance in 3, why did the do that? they made a lot of arts almost useless, Segiri's class got destroyed by that. At least they could've had a gem or accessory to lower debuff resistance, or not make enemies resist RESISTANCE DOWN.
I just found out today resistance down decreases break resistance by 25%. Thats huge, debuffs have really good effects in this game. But you'll never see them when you really need them.
With how bad debuffs are in the game, I wish the post-game party member for Future Redeemed had her debuff resistance skill work for the entire party rather then just her.
There is a result on crafted accessories that increases debuff success chance by 15 percentage points. With Sappy-Sappy Drain you can get up to 40. Which is... at least something?
@@navelwarfare3247 i didn't know that, i just bought the dlc before FR released, yes that's something at least, you need dlc and rng luck to have it, but it's something.
It's okay, you can say Rex is really strong in every one of these guides, I don't blame you. I swear Monolith Soft does not care about balancing characters that are based around landing critical hits. Every time they've made a crit based class, it's always been one of, if not the most broken classes in every game LOL
Funnily enough, with Lapidarist in the game, Incursor isn't as good because its main claim to fame was its crit rate, but Beaming Edge, as the best skill in the game, makes crit rate pretty easy to stack. If you can get enough crit from accessories or skills, you can hit 100% on basically any class
An extra accessory recommendation is the accessory that gives a little bit of armor to an ally when they are revived. Just to give them a little extra survivability.
Definitely the best healer. Who would've thought that giving the healer healer skills and making them Agnes arts would make them better. Sure do love A having damage buff skills that end up being pretty low consequence cause her atk isnt that imptessive even with an upgraded weapon
I find A's damage to be pretty alright. She's obviously not going to beat Matthew and especially Rex when it comes to damage, but just by virtue of having an ether defense down skill (assuming it works like Ultimate Qigong) it means her damage isn't absolute bottom since she's getting two multipliers to her damage.
While making your healers not have a heroic chain to prevent them from maxing out the gauge is good, some manuals have an even better effect. For example I have Glimmer equipped with strategy manual 6. It's effect allows her to add all her TP to the gauge, even if it goes past 100, but doesn't end the chain. It essentially make her work like normal, but no TP is wasted. The completion bonus is pretty good too, because it increases the damage ratio by 100 and grants Crit up. This pairs well with Rex as my main damage dealer in chain attacks, since he loves getting crits.
It causes me so much whiplash that her arts of Great Garland and Illusory Bloom share names with the specials of Patroka of all characters in XC2. Also, Rex and Glimmer having so much synergy is great. Awesome father-daughter bonding!
Well, she is similar to mythra. I seriously think mikhail's memories got scrambled or he his memories of myhtra got repressed from his mind when he became a blade eater. Patroka has a similar attitude, violence, sharp tongue, focus, terrible cooking skills, and is a strong blade.
I definitely had a double-take when hearing "Great Garland" in the first fight. The fact that she borrows arts from _Patroka_ and _no one else_ is really hilarious to me.
Glimmer is weirdly my third most played a character, after Matthew and Rex. I just ended up playing her in a lot of major fights for one reason or another.
The only way you lose a fight is both healers dying. As boring as it is, Glimmer is probably the best character to play. Optimizing damage outside of chain attacks doesn't matter much, but keeping your healers alive sure does.
I switch between Matthew, Rex andGlimmer for the most part. Occasionally Shulk if I need to spam break or A for Vision. Nikol if Shulk and Rex somehow both die and I need to get aggro onto Nikol instead
Maxed her out second, great fun to play due to short art CDs. Feels funny to have the Aegis family carry rly hard while the game throws xc1 references at your face like no other
i prefer the fusion art burning bloom specifically for chain attacks. not only does it still grant aoe crit and attack buff, but there is also the chance for a physical defense buff. yeah its not consistent but it did happen to me a few times in my playthrough. oh and it can inflict blaze but it doesn't contribute that much to the total damage.
Glimmer and Rex working well together is very fitting. If the main game allowed characters to learn Shulk & Rex’s classes, I would’ve loved to see Mio inherit Rex’s class.
for my chain attack setup, I use Nikol to guarantee amazing because he's pretty useless in chain attacks, and I give A the completion bonus which gives 100% to damage ratio and grants Power Charge. I like having A so I can apply attack up to the whole party with one of her fusions, and she doesn't go over 99%.
Glimmer or as I played her, set up 3 Flare Aria's in a row and then use her AOE attack to immediately heal the entire party while saving her actual healing arts for emergencies
I think Ouroboros Power Awakened only increases the damage of the Smash/Burst/Blowdown portions. 'cause isn't that the flashy combo move is called a Special, and it's when you use a Special on a launched enemy that you get the Unity Combo finisher? Hmm. Unity Combo is just a name for Fusion Combos that only trigger off of launch.
I as well am regularly hitting the upper 700s. Two Manuals let you break 100 without ending the round, and one Manual gives 150% TP when ending the order and it’s beyond stupid.

don't know if you'll read this comment but I love your channel and what you do. I got into the series with xenoblade definitive edition but your guides for the whole series has been such a boon.
these videos make me realize that i know this game more than i give myself credit for. Really just watch these to see what Enel's doing and it's usually almost the same as mine lmao
It's a bit easier with a game like this because the amount of customization you can have is so much smaller than the base game. If you care about optimization and strategy even a little bit I feel like it's easy to put the pieces together, it's just a matter for figuring out the most absolute optimal combination of pieces that takes some thinking.
i know theres probably like a thousand other wayts to exploit chain attacks in this dlc, but the way i have it glimmer has the manual that gives her melia's heroic chain, so i can always end with glimmer critical up + damage up field powering up rex nearby, and then rex himself for the near guaranteed amazing, it's just really silly in general.
Next up: "A the great attacker/healer and vision user instead of Shulk having anything remarkable" and "The Nikol Guide I guess" Shulk and Nikol got done dirty in this game!
Skills/Accessories that explicitly improve healing arts only affect pure healing arts (i.e. Daybreak Hymn). Any art that reads "heals allies when Art hits" is classified as an attack. Its healing "side-effect" only scales with the character's healing stat and the number of enemies hit by it.
I’m looking forward to seeing what to do with Nikol. I’ve had him as an extra reviver with the accessory and boosting party defense with Machine Clap + Whirlwind.
Well, to be clear, the game defines the “unity combo” as just the final explosive hit. The 2 person attack you trigger with the dpad is called a “special”, like the xenoblade 2 specials. You can only do a unity combo if the enemy is launched, so whenever things refer to raising unity combo damage, it’s probably referring to the smash/burst/blowdown.
I personally have her using the manual that increases critical damage as well as letting her overcap the Chain Attack gauge past 100 to let someone else have a go, because she generates a stupid amount of TP with all the full health and buff bonuses you get from using Burning Garland. Let's you use Rex as the finisher from a starting point of around 150-160% a lot of the time, which is crazy stupid.
Hello Enel. I clealry prefer burning ballad + flare aria, at start iof the 2nd chain attack, to have att up + crit up, and start chain attack near Rex (and Matthew if i can). And in the chain attack slot , i use item that up the chain attack barre, so good that increase the number of chain attack .(sorry i don t have the name in english , i m a french player and i have a bad english)
I want to imagine seeing Mio and Glimmer interact with each other (either as children or as they appear in game). Artists in the comments, you have your prompt.
Spoilers... I am loving the DLC but man, that Rex and Shulk duo fight nearly stonewalled me because i pretty much ignored giving her and Nikol any upgrades. That is borderline questionable design but i guess you can power level or just lower the difficulty, both of which i refused to do. I did manage to beat them but the difficulty spike was insane.
At the very least there are 2 art unlock kits right next to that fight. Unluckily, I only found 1 of them before I was able to finish the fight on hard after the 10th or so attempt. Rex just annihilates you if you take down rex first with 2 infinity blades within 15s of each other. But Nikol can't target Rex 60% of the time due to Shulk's target lock. So Glimmer has to do her best to focus Rex down, and hope Nikol's AoE is enough to keep agro. However once I got Rex down it became so much easier. TLDR: Hard fight was hard.
I actually ended up setting her up in the exact same way accessories and gems and all. Just curious, will you make a guide on the post story completion "content"?
Sick fucking design too. Love the homage to XC1 Avalanche Abassy in both the base game (Ceratinia had copy attacks of Abassy) and this guy is an even more blatant callback
I feel like debuffs in this expansion are actually a little bit easier to apply, even to superbosses. When I was trying to beat the slow n' steadies, I was able to debuff them several times throughout each fight consistently. Maybe I'm just lucky but idk
Huh, so this game DOES have the Legendary Devotional Necklace available. Does anyone know where to find it? I’ve opened every container and relic already so I’m hoping I haven’t missed it
I just got all 6 party members and am going through the lvl 20 bosses and areas but I'm having a large amount of difficulty healing. Usually Glimmer always dies even when she isn't being targeted, then A goes to save her and gets all of the aggro, dies immediately, and the party crumbles. I feel like I'm just not getting enough healing in maybe, or that Glimmer is extreamly squishy but I'm having difficulties.
@zephyr4700 Yeah I've already done that. The Tanks are gaining agro just fine. It seems Glimmer is dying from AOE damage and then the revive kills everyone. I don't think I can get the defenders to aggro more than the revive so I think I just need to make Glimmer not die
@matthewferguson6524 Ooohhh it's gonna do a Xenoblade. Thanks for letting me know. Spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles 1/DE I got completely blindsided by the High Entia City being completely eradicated even when I saw that timer thing. This series goes HARD
Ok update, I just got to the 4th area and unlocked the ether slides. I found out that one of the main reasons Glimmer keeps dying is because her AI (and a good amount of the parties actually) are really stupid. She hates being in the regenerate circles and I saw her leave one just as A placed it... she was very low health already
I feel like the Rex/Glimmer Unity is better even in chains. The smash damage that Matthew/Rex have never caps for me, even with the 2 hits. But the Burst damage that Glimmer and Rex have ALWAYS caps for me. And its 1 hit does more damage than the 2 hits that Matthew and Rex have. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but even in chains, I like Glimmer/Rex
You know, there's nothing wrong with centering everything around Rex. He's the main damage dealer even when you aren't building him as such and since team comps are limited, I'd say I'd prefer to see guides to put together a coherent team rather than individuals.
If you had released this a couple days before you would have saved me from the absolute nightamre that is the lv 90's superbosses AoE to deal with, took me three days
Oh god that beginning footage is giving me PTSD already. Have you beaten Abaasy on hard? It is the only boss that I haven't even come close to killing. I hope you do a video on it because I'm getting Poisoned Paradise flashbacks & that's not a good thing. Same for the Slow n Steadys on hard. I don't know who designed these last few superbosses but they clearly weren't thinking straight. If anyone else has beaten these bosses quickly on hard share your strategies lol.
Got one to drop from the Lv90 Superboss that's the two Levnises in Vermillion Woods Nasty thing to have to grind but it seems that's where it drops from
Part of me is glad that Spoiler isn't being shown because spoilers. Part of me wishes Spoiler was here because the vast majority of players will have Spoiler before fighting super bosses.
doed anybody know where i can get the solis rings? i thought i got them from a quest but i guess I don't have them anymore. i haven't sold any of my things so idk what happened 😭
I’m still missing an art kit and accessory kit but it say I have 100% off collectibles in each area and finished what I assume was the last quest. Any help?
Right food gets a 65 percent exp boost. Mix in a chain attack and that gives a tin of free exp and I believe some people lower there level when taking on the lv 60 superboss to get more exp technically
It takes like 30 minutes to get to 99 after finishing the game. Drop difficulty to easy and grind Gotthard in the high level part of the Shelf region while being underleveled. Finish with overkill and food buffs
I'm saying this assuming people have done the post game for the base game: Who's better at raw healing: Glimmer or Nia? I mean overall Glimmer might be better cuz of the buffs and debuffs, but I'm talking about healing itself

@@Boulder7685 is one of the 2 Strategy 10 or 14? There’s a bug rn where if you didn’t get them: if you didn’t pick it up on the first kill of that superboss it will never drop. Hope they patch it. I’m forever missing those 2 manuals unless I play through again :(
@@graciaman oh boy I hate that. I haven’t bothered trying to distinguish between the different ones by number because it’s hard enough to remember what accessories do with unique names let alone items only separated by numbers but I hope not.
@@Boulder7685 hahaha that’s fair. God I love Xenoblade but someday I hope Monolithsoft revisits their inventory management strategies. 😭
Glimmer is prob my fav healer in all of xc3, I love running daybreak garland as a massive heal fusion and burning bloom for the buffs from the fusion. She’s the queen of keeping everyone alive and hitting hard
don't know if you'll read this comment but I love your channel and what you do.
6:43 wait…healing Art skills buff Arts that aren’t healing Arts? It also buffs area heals on hit?
Glimmer might be my favorite Healer to play as
i know theres probably like a thousand other wayts to exploit chain attacks in this dlc, but the way i have it glimmer has the manual that gives her melia's heroic chain, so i can always end with glimmer critical up + damage up field powering up rex nearby, and then rex himself for the near guaranteed amazing, it's just really silly in general.
I cant wait for your video about the whole Xenoverse!
Next up: "A the great attacker/healer and vision user instead of Shulk having anything remarkable" and "The Nikol Guide I guess"
Shulk and Nikol got done dirty in this game!
Thanks for the guide!
please make a guide about "spoiler" as well, even though "spoiler" isn't controllable
I still don’t understand why she isn’t playable. We literally use her to fight against N in the City in Chapter 4
@Zephyr lol, what are you talking about ? I know that I have 100% the DLC.
She is in the party, but like I said, she is not controllable
@@cavsfightingroom3692 Autocorrect my bad I meant to say ‘I still’ at the beginning not ‘you’
I’m looking forward to seeing what to do with Nikol.
I don’t know why but my glimmer makes it her mission to die 2 seconds into a battle
Rex's alarm clock
Just curious, will you make a guide on the post story completion "content"?
possibly lol
0:13 Hold up, FOGDWELLER ABAASY?!
Sick fucking design too. Love the homage to XC1 Avalanche Abassy in both the base game (Ceratinia had copy attacks of Abassy) and this guy is an even more blatant callback
How fitting that Glimmer and Rex work so well together
I run battle manual vol 17 as it allows me to spam burning garland every order as it guarantees her reactivation
Hey, could you do an explanation/summary of the story of the dlc?
When’s the A video? I honestly find playing as her a lot more fun than anyone else
Who would it guess that Glimmer is Matthew and Na'el great grandaunt also Rex is their great great grandfather.
I feel like debuffs in this expansion are actually a little bit easier to apply, even to superbosses. When I was trying to beat the slow n' steadies, I was able to debuff them several times throughout each fight consistently. Maybe I'm just lucky but idk
Glimmer CARRIED my FR playthrough.
Huh, so this game DOES have the Legendary Devotional Necklace available. Does anyone know where to find it? I’ve opened every container and relic already so I’m hoping I haven’t missed it
*chello noises intensify*
Glimmer is too adorable!
Focus on your defenders so that they can aggro the enemy especially Shulk, give him and Nikol aggro increasing gems/accessories.
This goes without saying, but upgrade everyone equally so you aren't blindsided by a certain event later.
Spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles 1/DE
I got completely blindsided by the High Entia City being completely eradicated even when I saw that timer thing.
And she never needs to heal Nikol because the dude would block the sun if it crashed into Aionios
I wonder if you will talk about other things we unlock after we beat the game ?
I feel like the Rex/Glimmer Unity is better even in chains. The smash damage that Matthew/Rex have never caps for me, even with the 2 hits. But the Burst damage that Glimmer and Rex have ALWAYS caps for me. And its 1 hit does more damage than the 2 hits that Matthew and Rex have. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but even in chains, I like Glimmer/Rex
The buff duration up effect could allow awakening to last longer.
You know, there's nothing wrong with centering everything around Rex. He's the main damage dealer even when you aren't building him as such and since team comps are limited, I'd say I'd prefer to see guides to put together a coherent team rather than individuals.
If you had released this a couple days before you would have saved me from the absolute nightamre that is the lv 90's superbosses AoE to deal with, took me three days
where can you get the devotional necklace
Who gives the devotional necklace again in future redeemed (the legendary version)?
Oh god that beginning footage is giving me PTSD already. Have you beaten Abaasy on hard? It is the only boss that I haven't even come close to killing. I hope you do a video on it because I'm getting Poisoned Paradise flashbacks & that's not a good thing. Same for the Slow n Steadys on hard. I don't know who designed these last few superbosses but they clearly weren't thinking straight. If anyone else has beaten these bosses quickly on hard share your strategies lol.
Imagine Rex had a skill that made him stronger each time he dies
wtf i didn't know about the crit damage buff i always used the field + burning ballad 💀
Where can I find moezo tentacles want to upgrade the swelling blessings gem can't even find the enemies
Anyone know where to get a purple Devotional Necklace for this build from?
@@Kyronex0 I think it was from a box fairly early on.
Got one to drop from the Lv90 Superboss that's the two Levnises in Vermillion Woods
Nasty thing to have to grind but it seems that's where it drops from
Part of me is glad that Spoiler isn't being shown because spoilers. Part of me wishes Spoiler was here because the vast majority of players will have Spoiler before fighting super bosses.
Hey Enel do you know where you got that legendary Devotional necklace?
I got 100% after 50 hours and now I'm sad it's over
How are you not going into the long, center-of-attention animation of the talent art everytime you use it? Is there a setting to turn that off?
at least the unity skill with nikol works beter than food in the base game lol
Hi, im asking here because reddit doesnt have the answer. Anyone know how to get the Devotional necklace?
Where do you get earliest rarity of crystal earring and break brooch?
doed anybody know where i can get the solis rings? i thought i got them from a quest but i guess I don't have them anymore. i haven't sold any of my things so idk what happened 😭
Abaasy random drop
I hope the next guide is A
I’m still missing an art kit and accessory kit but it say I have 100% off collectibles in each area and finished what I assume was the last quest. Any help?
Some of The expansion Kits are Sitting on The ground, And I don't think they are counted on the collectable screen.
How do you get the Devotional Necklace?
Poeple who struggle at the '' dads vs Kids" take notes.
How did you level up so fast? Is there a good spot to grind EXP?
Right food gets a 65 percent exp boost. Mix in a chain attack and that gives a tin of free exp and I believe some people lower there level when taking on the lv 60 superboss to get more exp technically
It takes like 30 minutes to get to 99 after finishing the game. Drop difficulty to easy and grind Gotthard in the high level part of the Shelf region while being underleveled. Finish with overkill and food buffs
@@WhatTheAlva this until 85ish, then fight peacekeeper and let the other mech kill you until 95ish, then kill them both once or twice to hit 99.
Glimmer is the best xenoblade girl
I am the only one who wished this was a 130h game?
anybody know where to get the solis rings
Abaasy random drop.
@@Lucifel05 thanks
so true
How do you get stuff like the Solis Ring
Nvm found it it's the boss drop
Abaasy random drop.
So enel, I know she isn’t Pyra but is she good?
I'm saying this assuming people have done the post game for the base game:
Who's better at raw healing: Glimmer or Nia? I mean overall Glimmer might be better cuz of the buffs and debuffs, but I'm talking about healing itself
Nia probably just cause everything she does heals
Glimma
she is the least interesting of the characters but gameplay wise she is very good
Why do you hate Xenoblade Chronicles X?
He. . .doesn't? Where did he say that?
