Since the making of this video, Levoit has removed all marketing materials claiming that the Core 400S has a true HEPA filter.
so is not a true HEPA filter?

I think my appartment is around 30 square meters (322 square feet), the issue is that my appartment is very high around 4 or 5 meters. Do you think this unit covers this amount of room?
@@eddohmen602 yes it will. It also has an auto mode to detect how long it needs to be on high to clean the site then it adjust its self accordingly! I sleep so much better with it and my house is just so much fresher.

I've seen people buy a roll of the cut-to-fit carbon filter to wrap around the cylindrical HEPA filters to make a better pre-filter.
If the carbon filter goes first, then that would mean there would be less space for the HEPA filter as it would be further inside the unit. Are there comparisons on how much HEPA filter area is there comparing these 2 configurations?
Also the carbon filter will become less absorbent do to heavier dust loading. Which will result in a lower odor removal.
400s now has 4 new filter options including 4 stage filtration etc

Great review, but you missed an overview of the controls and related phone application. I wanted a unit I could setup to automatically come on and turn itself off based on my home's air quality, as I use mine to control my main living space next to a kitchen (family room with its related cooking issues die to the kitchen). It has many features, but I find the automation setup/adjustment a bit confusing and hard to test properly. The unit itself does a good job scrubbing the air.

I still recommend either the Winix 5500-2 or Coway Mighty.
There seems to be multiple cylindrical air purifiers hitting the market lately. You might want to look at the TCL Breeva A5 and the Wyze Air Purifier.
I thought the default 200, 200S, 300, 300S had a non-pellet charcoal filter. Are you sure they use pellet filters like the 400 & 400S?
Can this cover more than 300 sq feet?
So I just got mine. First impressions - bad. I had sprayed a parfume right at the air sensor. For some reason the PM indicator increased a bit but in auto mode it did not turned up the fan speed. Next, I put a smoking piece of paper next to it. The PM jumped at once to maximum but in auto mode, it did not turned up the fan speed to maximum, I had to manually select the 4th speed. I suspect that these air sensors are indeed of poor accuracy and one should not use auto mode but select one constant fan speed at all times. What is also inaccurate is the PM 2.5 level of 50 at which the device turns on the speed if in auto mode. The general standard is
Hi, I would like to know your opinion on the best air purifier for a room of more or less 30m2 with a lot of wood: Xiaomi Pro H or Levoit 400S? One of my focuses is getting odor out of the room and fresh air.
I guess the Xiaomi Pro H has way higher CFM, which is great. I almost purchased it, however, Xiaomi seems to have discontinued this model, so it'll be close to impossible getting an OEM replacement filter for the unit. You'd have to rely on parallel non original suppliers.
I was a big fan of the Winix 5500 until the motor gave out on both the original and replacement in less than a year.

I’ve heard this is a major issue with the winix models, they give out within a year or so. That’s why I bought the levoit 400.
I wished I would of found your video 4 days ago… I just purchased the 400s & 300s? I have a medically fragile child w lung issues etc. I researched for months and thought I made a good choice 🙈.
No product is perfect. Trust me You will enjoy it.
Levoit is very good because it is completely ozone free.
The 2 online store here don't sell winix

I have three budgies.. and need an air purifier... I don't want to sell them.... have lung issues.. didn't realize the dander from birds can make me worse.. would this help with the dander...
Try the Winix instead. Much higher performance.

It performs same as Coway and Winix. But it has a big advantage over other purifiers - it is totally ozone free which is very rare. (ozone basically destroys your lungs in the long run, dunno why reviewers don't talk about this, it means either they are biased or ignorant).
