Thanks again for detailed results to prove what I already know. I Love the Levoit 300 and also updated to the higher VOC filter! I have asthma and find I’ve slept much better with hardly any allergies since putting the Levoit in my bedroom! I highly recommend Levoit and was so happy to see how well it performed in scientific testing as in real life, I’ve felt it works great. I truly appreciate Vacuum Wars and am excited for Vacuum Wars 2.0!! Thanks
Love that you're venturing into testing other products as well! Please do tests with the Levoit 600s and Levoit 400s as well, along with Bluer 211+! Thanks!
I have one and it seems to be reducing formaldehyde, I didn't know I had it until I used the purifier and it detected formaldehyde on my room. It also detects the clothes of some people when they pass nearby the sensors. Overall it's a good combo unit but if you are only interested on the purification part, there might be better units, I only bought it because I needed a purifier and a humidifier. Another major upside is that they have the best sensors I have seen on any purifier, the readings match what an awair sensor read
@@nicolassama2740 I’m going to buy one, but was just curious if it was really that good. I mainly wanted it as a tower fan and the air purification was an added bonus. Thank you!!
*LOVE* your new expansion and features! For air filters, *so so* many articles have touted the Winix 5500-2 for the top/2nd highest performance of residential units against competitors 5x the price. Would love to see a head to head based on the Winix 5500-2 (less modern features) or the Winix AM80 (modern features). As always, *love* your videos and continue to watch based on your consistency, creativity, honesty, and well-rounded reviews. Thanks!
More Levoit please! Just got this one based off your previous video on it and I’m hooked! I’m considering their most high end one as I have 5 cats so need a power house!
Thanks for your work in getting these together, it's interesting content. A couple of notes though: at about 2:54 you say the Levoit edged out the Guardian on filter score but the scoring was 139 to 51 which seems more like a complete blowout. Also when talking about price, you call these budget units yet you show 4-5 "$" (dollar signs) which indicate that they are very expensive. This is a bit confusing.
Would love to see you test some of the ikea air purifiers. They seem to get good reviews and have very affordable filters. Would love to see how they stack up against other units you’ve tested. Cheers!
I have the Levoit 300 and a Germ Guardian. I absolutely love my Levoit and find it does much better on pet odor and household smells like air fryer, oven, etc. The Germ Guardian is right next to my two Litter Robots and it does not do the job at all. We are going to get another Levoit for that area.
Do you have a ranking of air purifiers you have tested? I think you are working up to it, but I am having a hard time comparing price to performance among the brands. BTW I love your channel and used it to purchase my last vacuum. Funny how addicted I am to your topics and how much entertainment I get from your videos. Looking forward to the next year.
I just got a Levoit Core 300 and I had a Home Labs 4in1 air purifier and I noticed a difference big time my room was easier to breathe in and it smelt better to plus I love how you can turn off the light and have a sleep mode
Let's not forget that any air purifier is better than none. That being said, doing research on what you buy is how you get the most out of your money, and it teaches the conpanies to make better, more durable products.
ive seen air purifier reviews here only to realize that I already delved into air purifiers and found that the Dyson and a DIY Box fan filter the best. The Dyson is pricey and small, at least it doubles as a fan to provide a breeze. DIY box fan air filter is all over youtube, while it doesn't look great and not perfect seal, still does the job as escaped particles will be captured eventually. It is cheap, filters are affordable, and provides a breeze if the user happens to orient the fan.
Bought the Levoit 300 off the back of this review and I’m very disappoints with the performance of the unit. It’s noisy even on min and it’s not removing smells despite upgrading to the detox filter. My old Philips 2000i air purifier was so much better than the Levoit, which I’m now returning to Amazon.
Great Video's thanks, could you also do one with DIY Corsi Rosenthal Box, as I heard it is way better than just the box fan as teachers are trying to find budget friendly methods to filter classrooms thanks.
It's interesting. I had 2 Bissell MYAir Pros that I initially thought were better than the Levoit I bought for downstairs. But one of the Bissels already died, and the Levoit is still going strong 👍. I have question though: I've replaced the Levoit filter a few times, but no matter what I do, I can't get the red "change filter" light to go away. Any help is appreciated!
I have this Levoit and I'm glad to see you like it. I'm really impressed with the efficacy of it and the app is easy to use too. It's amazing how much fluff and detritus this machine picks up! I'm shocked every time I wipe down the filter how much has accumulated. I also have Amazon Air Quality monitors and the PM.25 usually correlates well with what the Levoit is reporting.
Would love to see Blue Air Classic review. They have two different levels of filters and consumer reports loves this unit. But I've been having issued with smelly filters on their high end filters. Just curious if anyone else had the same issues.
This is so crazy cus I just bought a levoit for my son's room and plan on gettin for my room... I looked at those filters also and now kno it's beneficial to get the green filter when I replace filters
Thank you for the tests! I have 3 Levoits and it gives me confidence that they aren't snake oil products. Buying advice- unless you specifically want the base model, go with the 300s. It has app features which allows you to do a LOT more with it.
I know people ask all the time to test different purifiers, but can you please test a Honeywell Air Genius? Unlike the majority of purifiers they use a washable filter called an iFD filter which claims to be nearly as good as HEPA, it works similar to the old Ionic Breeze technology except with many small plates rather than a few very large plates, so yeah I'm sure it works but I'd love to know if it actually preforms even close to a hepa filter.
Can you do the BISSELL MYair+ Air Purifier next too? It seems to have a similar rebranded filter to the Levoit ones, and now I'm wondering if theyre interchangeable.
I am using Winix Zero+ since 2019 and quite like it, but as European, I am really disappointed with company abandoning EU version of the smart app due to GDPR. Since then, I am not able to control the device from the phone (I didn't use the remote control much, but I did use scheduling), and especially see the air quality history charts...
What are your thoughts... the family and I live where there are frequent forest fires and sick kids from school. I usually just buy the best so I was looking at that massive iq air health pro plus. We have a two story home and just having a single unit. Or would it be better to buy 2 of these smaller units?
Would love to see power consumption. These are devices that are on most of the time over multiple years. So costs can really add up. Especially in Europe.
I'm using the Alen Breathesmart 45i and 75i I like them both not really in this kinda price range tho. I did recommend this levoit to a buddy for a small room glad it was a decent choice.
I completely forgot to mention and this is important, one of the reasons I bought the Core 300S was to eliminate odors, unfortunately it didn't help even on the first day, next time I will buy a different type of filter maybe it will change something.
I'd like to argue that the upgraded filter didn't do 25% better, it did twice as good. Yes, this is a maths thing. My reasoning: In the same 5 minutes it reduced VOCs by ~50% (same as the normal filter in 5 mins), and then reduced VOCs *again* by 50% in that time, for a total of 75% reduction. That's two half-lives vs one half-life in five minutes, hence twice as good. I think that this perspective does a much better job of conveying how big of a difference going from 55% to 76% filtration is, rather than saying '25% better'.
I would like to see test with Xiaomi air pueifiers. Their 4 series is quite big, and if you could do comparisons between them, that would be amazing. Not sure if they are sold in the US, but if they are, I would really appericiate the comparison. Thanks
Does anyone have a good forum or subreddit to research this topic? Really want to find a good dust specific unit that is quiet, and has a user cleanable filter if one exists ? You need to review the Austin Air Bedroom Machine air filter. I've had 2 of them for about 8 years now and I always see those air filters in ENT offices (my ENT actually recommended that air filter back in the day).
I have the Core 300, and the Core300S (smart) air purifiers. They actually have different guts and fans, even though you'd think it would only be the smart features added on. Both are great. I've always wondered if the accessory filters actually do what they say as it only looks like they are a different color on the outside, but looks like they actually do! Thanks for doing such a good job of objectively reviewing them!
@@jamesdeath8094 I think the 300s is slightly quieter, but the 300 likely moves a little more air at max. They are rated the same on the box and are likely within 10% of each other. So go with the 300 if you want it cheaper, 300s if you want the smarts.

nice, I was looking for a air purifier for a while, but haven't digged in deeper. this is just what I need. (probably waiting for mid-budget)
