I just got this. I think I need a 2nd one. I notice if there is movement my air gets bad again.
Obviously an OEM filter is always going to be best for the unit, but have you come across any 3rd party brands that are reliable for this unit, or for Levoit purifiers in general? Looking into this purifier vs an Oransi Mod. While I can get the Mod unit for cheap, the replacement filters are $75 and I haven't seen any 3rd party filters for it.
How is the "S"series on pet hair and dander?
I am researching between the the Vital series or the "s" series. We have a larger open living space.
What do you think about this vs the Levoit H134?

How far was the noise level from the device?
The position of the decibel meter in relation to the sound output also influences the result of the sound noise level.
Exactly… ans besides that he didnt test night mode which is only 26db lol
I'm measuring noise level on the dBA scale, which is why my results differ from those of the manufacturer.
I have tested the noise level in the night mode; you can check the results on the Air Purifier First website.
Maybe I could insert a dBA scale in the further videos for reference and to avoid misunderstandings.
Should I get this Levoit Core 600S or the Coway Airmega 300/400 series?
I haven't tested the mentioned Coways in detail, so I can't give you a precise recommendation.

Just purchased this 600s and was curious if you noticed a higher pitch noise on fan level 2 then other fan speeds? Just wondering if it’s normal or if I should exchange it out? Thank you!
I haven't noticed that; maybe your unit has a glitch. I suggest replacing it.

Does this work for mold? I’ve seen no claims that it does from the company like on other air purifiers its usually on there box instruction manual or on description on web sites but I’ve not seen Levoit claimed it works for mold
Mold particles range between 2 to 10 microns. This is what HEPA filters usually pick up.

which one better winix pro zero or levoit 600s?
I haven't tested the Winix Pro Zero yet, but it seems like a fantastic air purifier. The decision between these two is definitely not easy, but I can't tell you my preference before testing the Winix.
Does it remove VOCs really well?
Nothing with less than say 10lbs of activated carbon in the filter stack will be particularly effective at removing VOCs. Many VOC specialized units have 20lbs+ of activated carbon pellets.

@chainjail4834 I'm not sure if that was a good idea. Yes, if you compare both at the same speed, 400s will be quieter. But at any given speed 600s will clean a lot more air than 400s. If you compared speeds that deliver the same CADR, I bet 600s would be significantly quieter. The benefit of oversizing an air purifier is that you it can run at lower speed.
THE LEVOIT AIR PURIFIERS I RECENTLY HAD QUESTIONS REGARDING THEIR VARIOUS FILTERS, AND THEY HAVE BEEN VERY DISMISSIVE. ALSO I JUST LEARNED THAT THEY ARE NOT MANUFACTURED IN AMERICA. I AM SO SORRY I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT USER FRIENDLY. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING.
