Dwight, Okafor, Ben Gordon, Shaun Livingston, Devin Harris, Childress, Deng, Telfair, Big Al, Josh Smith, Jr Smith, Jameer, Delonte, Tony Allen, etc. That draft class had so much potential and a lot of those guys still had pretty good careers but injuries and other issues had them lose years off their prime and a lot of them were out of the league earlier than people expected.

Knew I had to step up rediculiusly high bc he is a phenomenal leaper. JR literally jumped over me and finished with 2 hands for the And 1. He almost fully cleared me only the fabric of his shorts grazed my head.

JR Smith would have benefitted from going to college for 2 to 3 years under a top tier Coach. He missed alot of the fundamentals, knowledge, and transitional professionalism that would have gave him a firm foundation. He just wasnt focused and mature enough to take the next two steps
He had all the tools and talent to be an elite player.
Sometimes he would look like every bit of Kobe's equal then other times he would look like a average player.

Imagine if J.R. took the 3-pointer instead of dribbling it out. If he made it, he would've been a hero, considered clutch, and he would've had a long lasting career. It's horrinle how some players are defined by 1 play. Example. Bill Buckner with the Red Sox, J.R Smith, etc. It's the sad, grim reality however that's why your getting the big bucks. To be clutch. Facts especially Deshawn Stevenson. Yet both him and JR Smith became NBA champions. Deshawn Stevenson could've worked on his offensive repertoire a lot more but like you said, he was content with what his role was and settled. However, he was a decent defender. As for JR Smith, he should've had at least an All-Star nod as a Knick. His problem was he was not always focused on basketball.
