My dad showed this to me as one of his favourite songs and I tried to find it on online and to my surprise, it actually took a while. And it's not even available on Spotify. How this song not being an absolute hit is beyond me.
song was recorded when this cd was compiled in 1992. While I'm not discrediting it because its a great song but it was past its time in my opinion and they decided to use track 1 as a single that year.

Think about artists that hit the charts witg tge same song decades after the fact there song's debut and still hits now ! It determines how much record company promotes the album ! We have seen it for years a song or album that is great flop because of decisions made by the record company !

In the studio he was, but live in concert he struggled and didn't hit the same notes. Magic can be worked in a studio. If you go by what was released on albums, he had one of the greatest rock voices ever.

I DONT THING TOUGHT.
I remember my dad would get upset with me because id snatch this album from his truck when i was like ten years old just so i could listen to this song. He went on a fishing trip one time and called my grandmother from a payphone and told her to put me on the phone. When she did he asked me if i had this CD and i said yes. He wasn't really upset that time, just relieved he knew where it was. That guitar solo...goddayum!

One of the best AOR tracks ever recorded by anyone! The duo of Jones/ Gramm have written some of the most anthemic songs of the 70s/80s and this song from '92 is on par with all previous classic foreigner tracks! The melody, the lyrics, the musicianship and the production are all top notch! The only reason this song wasn't a hit was because of the grunge era and the record company didn't publicize the album like they should have! A shame cause this song is one of the best foreigner tracks ever!!

The first three songs on The very best and Beyond compilation are all awesome, Soul doctor prisoner of love and with Heaven on our side were all new songs at the time and all three of them are really good, and none of them ever got any radio airplay whatsoever

Not alot of people know it. I only discovered it about 18 yrs ago when I was a teenager when I bought the best of and beyond album. I'd only knew I want to know what love is at that point but this is definitely one of their best. I don't think Foreigner have done a bad song. x
