Adam Collins’s make shift laptop stand with books 👍
The classy option.
I really feel this entire thing went way off proportions when the story first came out 2 years ago. ICC gives 1/2 match bans I think. With the prime minister commenting on it things went from 0 to 60 faster than a F1 car. By giving the harsh punishments they gave, they are not in all sorts of bother about giving back captaincy to smith and all other issues that come alongside. Havnt heard the podcast yet but looking forward to a great conversation as always :)
The punishments and reacrions weren't for the ball tampering thing. Many people have tampered with the ball before and just got little punishments.
The one thing that made the whole thing out of proportions was just that the whole cricketing fraternity absolutely hate the aussie cricket culture, and when they had a chance all of them pounced on it.
The punishments were for the underlying culture, the kind of planning that went into it and how the whole thing tarnished Australia as a sports team.
feel like Mr.Lemons is living out of a Caravan
Maybe he is!
Someone would be too naive to believe what Pat, Mitch, and Josh said in the issued statement. I'm just not buying it.
Cam Bancroft has opened a whole new can of worms😂
Unfortunately it's the same old can of worms that was never closed in the first place!
@@FinalWordCricket correct, somehow its not big in India and UK, its time to move on
surely the steve smith captaincy debate should die after the current bowlers stating they did it and what was done was very wrong and he did it without us knowing. that's pretty condemning.
It's not very convincing, is it?
@@FinalWordCricket
Not at all, I don't think anyone expected Warner to manage this the best way out of all the players in that dressing room.
If they had banned Smith too from captaincy like Warner, the sandpaper wouldn't come up in the media half as many times.
Guys it is a old story now as no point now of digging the sand paper gate, as assuming if the bowlers knew of the happenings, will cricket Australia again ban the 3fast bowlers and the spinner?common .Geoff lemon, Lamour and Adam Collins...No Chance it is not going to happen, cricket Australia should ignore such comments if any one makes now, unless it is a match fixing issue.. we need to move on. Period
No cricket team or organisation are holier than thou, and everyone should drop this act.. We should have umpires inspecting balls every 4-5 overs and change it if they feel that the condition of the ball seems to be changed with an intent to gain an unfair advantage (keyword intent). On the other hand, we should look into improving the game for the bowlers, as they're on a greater disadvantage almost perpetually, leading to such lapses of judgement in a desperation to make something happen.. Just a thought..
Your first suggestion is already a law. “41.3.1 The umpires shall make frequent and irregular inspections of the ball. In addition, they shall immediately inspect the ball if they suspect anyone of attempting to change the condition of the ball”.
Bring on Gideon haigh or both together for an interview gents. That will be gud.
They have their own show together!
@@FinalWordCricket thank you for telling me, i didn't know that. Just googled and got it, "Cricket, Et Cetera". Awesome.
Why are we bothering to keep dragging this up. Everyone did it, no other nation punished their players so severely. We should stop trying to look like we are angels, admit that some shit happened and get on with playing cricket.
It's the part about not admitting what happened that means this keeps coming up.
@@FinalWordCricket I do understand. I am expressing my frustration as a fan that I have had enough of this whole saga.
Appreciate this is a “lean” season for Cricket journos… but what would be a closure for this episode? The underarm ball still hasn’t been put to bed despite full-scale confessions/recriminations by/of G Chappell…
Can Australian cricket public ever close a chapter?
It's an interesting question, what would bring closure. At least acknowledging what was said during the investigation. They have just tried to stay quiet, and that doesn't work.
Hey Guys Hello😀😀😀😀
Well hey and hello to you.
