Sometimes when I am trying to thread my machine, there is a plastic shield piece covering the #4 spot. Any tips on what to do to move it?

Thank you. I wanted to know how to remove the thread. :) do I cut from top and pull through the needle? Or pull out through the top?

Hi Rita! I cut from the top and then pull through. It cuts back the lint buildup inside the machine.
