Well explained! You’re a good teacher! Your demonstration is very clear to understand i learned from you! Keep up the good works many people like me will learn from you , i appreciate your way of teaching, Thank you so much and God bless you!
Jeanette‼️ You totally rock! This was so unbelievably sweet of you to come home from a full day’s work and create a tutorial 🤗 I will be sure to share how everything turns out for me! I hope you’re enjoying your wine and time with hubby now💕 Thanx a million 🥰
Hi Tricia! It was fun to do! And hey I learned something myself too. I never thought of trying this until the request was made in the Facebook group! :-)
Jeanette, you are a great teacher. also, I have the SE1900 for about 4yrs. When doing your applique shape, you can also use your add button in the editing screen, you can just hit that add button to get back into your shapes. You are so awesome for showing that it can be done. I enjoy your videos.
Quick tip to make things a bit smoother for you Jeanette! When you click on the design (10) and are on the screen to edit the design you can click add on the bottom left corner and add a second (10) and then click add once again and add the final satin stitch (2? I forget the number). From there hit edit end and embroider. You won’t have to go back and fourth with the machine, it’ll have all steps queued up and ready to go seamlessly! That’s how I do it on my machine! You can even move things around and resize them as long as the final satin stitch looks like it covers the initial straight/running stitch you should be good to go!
Aaron you are so RIGHT!!!! I didn't think about that. This would have made things much easier. I will definitely have to do this video again with the step you mentioned!!! Thanks for posting!!!
Jeanette...you are the best. I brought the brother se1900. Took me 2 weeks before I used the machine. Had to be in the mood. You were a life saver when I was trying to find #6. I had no idea. Watched your video and bam... there was #6 I want to thank you for all your videos that you do. You are so amazing to share all the information you have. I am falling in love with this machine. Just have to get used to it compared to my old machine. Keep up the videos I watch them all the time. God bless 💖💖💖
Hi Patti! I'm glad that the videos are a big help! Enjoy your machine. I got mine about 3 years ago and still love it. Once you got to know the machine you will be doing all bunch of stuff! Have fun!!! Happy Sewing and Embroidering!
With my PE 800 I can do circles, squares uisng your technique. If we adjust the size of the patterns we need to remember to use the same numbers for the satin stith. Thankyou very much for your videos. PR
Jeanette, you are so awesome. I have the Brother SE600 and I have the same designs in my machine. I will have to start using those to make some Appliques. Thanks again.
One question, what could you use to get rid of the little “fuzzy’s” around the edge of the satin stitch? Would the water soluble work and dab it with a Qtip?
Hi Linda. If you are doing a patch, folks use a hot knife and run it by the ends to get rid of the fuzzy. Water soluble is used when you don't want the stitches to sink into the fabric.
Neither. If you are making professional patches you should be using poly twill. If you just want a simple patch to sew on something that you can use cut away and sew the patch on. The adhesive stabilizer won't hold up at all. It will dissolve in the wash.
hello.. I'm wondering do you use a (dongle) in your se 1900? I have heard so many times how expensive it is if the port for the usb stick gets damaged and that it can be damaged easily. I'm not sure if this is right video to ask. But can you recommend a dongle for me to purchase for my se 1900.
Jeanette you are so cool!!! I love your comment "Lets see what happens", If we don't try we can't fail But we will never Win either.
Nana you got that right! Never be afraid to give something a try! Life just might surprise you!!!

Hi Marcia, You are right! And I think doing this would have been easier instead of going back and forth between the different designs.
You Rock! A natural born teacher. I just love your classes.

You could use heat and bond for the stabilizer and have an iron on patch
Yes you can~
Thank you. It worked perfect. I have a pe800 and it was the same.
Hi Debra. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hi Daisy. Yes you are correct! You have to make sure to pay attention to the size of the patterns if you change it!
I have a PE800 brother and haven’t used any designs that are built into it yet. So glad you showed us how to put them to use!❤️
Hi Vertia! You are so welcome! Enjoy your machine!

You could use heat and bond for your stabilizer and have an iron on patch. And maybe add I love you inside the heart
You know I just might do that. Why waste a perfectly stitched heart? LOL!!!! Thanks for the idea!
Jeanette, you are so awesome. I have the Brother SE600 and I have the same designs in my machine. I will have to start using those to make some Appliques. Thanks again.

Hi Marian! Glad you enjoyed the video!!!

Use ck Fray. Wall Mart
Can the self adhesive Stabilizer be used for making patches or does it need to be the cut away?
Neither. If you are making professional patches you should be using poly twill. If you just want a simple patch to sew on something that you can use cut away and sew the patch on. The adhesive stabilizer won't hold up at all. It will dissolve in the wash.
