I purchased this machine a year ago to replace my Brother HC1875 sewing machine and to also learn embroidering. I LOVE IT! I don't see any videos for this machine either. You are going to enjoy this machine. Easy to use. You are right it was pricey but i think the machine was worth it. It sews like butter and embroiders very nicely. Enjoy it!
First of all, I would like to thank you for posting this very helpful video! You did a great research and made us easier to set everything up to start enjoying this SE1900 sewing machine. In December, I bought the SE625, and then decided change it to SE1900 because was so impressed of it. Finally, I got it today for 849$. I do not know why the price was reduced, hope everything is good working. Also in December, I tried to find some video about SE1900, and was not lucky to find any good one. As I said, just got my machine and found your detailed video. Thanks again and please keep posting.
Thank you for taking the time to go over your new machine with us. It sure is a big help when trying to decide which unit to invest in. These things have gotten so intricate that the buyer has to invest due diligence before making the plunge. So this was a big help, as this machine is in my final list of three, and your video was the best I could find about it.
I just purchased this machine and just wanted a quick overview before beginning. Thank you for doing this video! I had to up my volume to hear you - but well worth it. I've sewn on Pfaff, Singers, but I find the Brother machines to be the best! Keep doing what you do. Good luck!
I have had this machine since the beginning off December, its very nice. One can go on eBay and buy a Brother embroidery 10 down loud for less than $5.00, I got it from England and it works. I took a picture loaded it to the program turned it into a stitch work sent it to the flash drive, put the flash drive in the sewing/embroidery machine and it worked.
Congrats on new machine. I just bought an SE1900 also. Plan to use it as my "travel" machine -- my Destiny2 is too large and heavy to schlep around to Sew Days, retreats, etc. Began with a PE770 about 5ish years ago. Hoping the 1900 will be as wonderful and durable. Like you, I bought the extra hoop package from Embroidex via Amazon. Especially excited to use the Overlap or repositional hoop. A 5x12 field is impressive for this little machine. I use Embrilliance to split my files. Quick, easy n inexpensive. Thanks for your review. Could barely hear you, so I turned on the captions. That helped.
Thank you for the video, my Dad just surprised me with a 1900 for my birthday. I would not have known anything about the machine without this video. I'm excited to see it and play with it. Sadly I'm out of town and have to WAIT 10 days until I get home to see it.
Thanks so much for doing the video. You answered may of my questions. I look forward to getting the machine. I have been looking for a new machine that did both sewing and embroidery. by the description, it does it all. Attempted to order the 1900 on Amazon but due to the pandemic, they did not send it. Too bad was going to us the time to sew. Please more videos on your new machine. Soo jealous!!!
I have the Brother SE 1800. It’s the same as this machine except there is no color on the screen. I got this a few months before the 1900 was released. I love the machine but I envy the color screen. Enjoy your new machine!
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, I was thinking they were very much the same with the 1900 being newer. I would think/hope the price will come down after it is on the market for a while...
Thank you for this fantastic video. It was extremely helpful. May I ask, now that you have had the machine for a couple months, how do you like it? Any concerns, issues that could be helpful to those of us planning to purchase one?
Hi, these are approx. measurements in inches: Height - Handle/lid down 12.5 Height - Handle up 15.5 Height - Top up (thread and stitch diagram area) 16 Length - with embroidery arm, includes with power cord and foot plugged in 18.5 Length - with embroidery arm 24 Length - of embroidery hoop holding arm 13.5 Hope this helps, Em
@@emsplace I meant with the embroidery plate on, the length measurements from the begging of the turning wheel to the end of the plate and what it measures without the plate, from wheel to the end and the width which you measure from the turning wheel facing you side to side and then in the same spot, what it measures in height because without the plate it measures less.
Hi, I think we are talking about the same thing when I refer to embroidery arm and you refer to plate? I did forget the depth measurements from the front to back. The widest part near the wheel is a about 8" and near the needle/bobbin is about 7". Hope that helps...
hi, thanks for your video. Can you tell me the dimensions for the se1900 embroidery machine(without the embroidery arm) and embroidery arm (length x width)? Thanks in advance!
Do you know of a carrying/storage case for the SE1900. I've looked around a bit and have not seen any storage cases that appear to be able to accommodate the SE1900. I have a Brother SQ9285 but have become interested in Embroidery and from the reviews/videos I've seen, the SE1900 looks to be the best beginner to intermediate user embroidery machine.
Hi. I bought the Blufig T19 three piece trolley set from Amazon. About $170-ish. Based on several reviews the 1900 fits very well. If it doesn't, Amazon is great about returns.
Hi, yes if using the correct needle and thread. The needle can be raised to two up positions, the highest one to accommodate thicker sewing. Take a look at the manual and see if that helps:-) Thanks for watching, Em
HI, yes I have tried some and they seem to be working fine. Here is a link to the pack I purchased Link to the supplemental hoops amzn.to/30CmqfN Thank you for watching:-)
@@emsplace not very good reviews on the link for additional hoops for the SE1900. I would be afraid that I would break something on my new machine attempting to use these hoops.

Hi, A 5" x 7" hoop is included and go to video starting about 16:20 where I show the contents of accessories included such as needles... Thank you for watching, Em
Hi Maria, since I am using the machine mostly for embroidery - I am using a polyester embroidery thread for sewing machines. There are a lot of threads on the markets, so I would do a search on the topic and see what kinds, weights and brands are out there that may be best for your intended use. Thank you for the comment and viewing:-)
Hi Susan, I use needles that are for embroidery. When purchasing needles do a little research to be sure they work for embroidery - there are so many kinds and variable on the market. Thanks for watching, Em
