Mad respect to the street cleaners. There's a story that goes like this: There was a kid with his dad sitting on a bench. The kid sees the trash man coming to pick up the trash and he says to his dad "Look! It's the trashman!". The dad turns to him and says, "Son, that's the clean man. We are the trash people.".
Insane video Sam! When its raining the shots are just a different gravy! Especially when the 70-200 is on! Hope you had a great Christmas with Roxanne!
Absolutely come to Bristol dude! There are some decent spots I know you'd get bangers and thank you so much for picking out my shot today. My first outing since I had to isolate, so I'm even more over the moon. Loved this pov. Keep working your ass off bro if that's what you love and want.
I absolutely POV street fotography videos. It gives a bit of insight on what (you) people are looking at and at times what settings you use. I've just starting to pick up on photography and got the Viltrox 75mm ƒ1.2 (love the lens so far!), and while I'm getting used to the camera and shooting manual/aperture mode, seeing the compositions and settings help me get an idea on what to look for :)
How lazy was the person at 16.40, tried putting rubbish in the bin, missed it, looked and carried on walking, definite respect to the street cleaners. Great video 😁
Amazing video! Another shot for the cleaner guy is doing it on Manual focus and hoping another Bus pass by and hopefully catching a shot through the window. That would be an amazing shot too.
Just started watching your videos and they are really helpful to inspire street creativity. You obviously put a lot of work into it and it shows. Thanks so much!
This is one of the best videos yet - such great images - I so want to visit London and your photos are reallt ramping up that desire. Also liked the shoutout you did for the street cleaners - these workers are not often given the credit they deserve for improving the esthetic on urban streets -
Loving the POV stuff and glad you’re enjoying your new camera, you’re a braver man than I because I defo couldn’t walk about without at least a wrist strap on mine, I just know that it would end in tears for me!
Incredible! I enjoyed and loved this. Thanks! A quick question, I got my a7iv last week and it shuts downs after about 20 minutes due to overheating (indoor at room temperature and heat sensitivity at standard). Would you kindly tell me whether you experienced something similar or not..
yes overheating in 4K footage 10-20mins is normal, you have to change the heat sensitivity to high. You can do out doors without overheating for hours with normal setting
Also, flip open the screen. I saw another video that showed recording over an hour 4k 60 with the screen opened up to the side. He said it would shutdown within 20 minutes if the screen was closed against the body.
Really cool vid man, was out and about today shooting some stuff after uni. Generally a great idea to head out after sitting at the desk for a few hours. Cheers
for something a bit rural and old english vibe with tons of nature come give the peak district area a shout. 👍 In the Stoke-on-Trent area and we've been fogged up for days now LOL might still be here tomorrow.
Love the video! And thanks for sharing the configuration of each photo. Maybe considering putting the configuration on the photo? That will be more clear
Get an old vintage glass and an adapter so you can mount the old lenses on your Sony camera well I use an old Yashica 200 mm on my A7 and it’s so much fun to use so you should give it a try Sam Thank you so much for the nice content ….
1st of all I'm loving the 20+ minute video today I have just invested in a 70-200 it's only an F4 but that said its very sharp so I'm looking forward to getting out with it soon. I think you should bring back the throwing cap ending to video some old school finishing ha
Sick video fam, shots look insane, just got my A7 IV today and can't wait to get out. Would be sick for the next vid if you were able to put the ISO, Fstop, Lens used and Focal length under each snapped pic. Asking from a purely nosy point of view as I've shot video for years but photo is something completely new to me and would be sick to know the exact settings of each shot. Look forward to the next upload fam.
Great Photography right there. Do you worry about water getting inside the camera damaging some components? I also got the A7IV but never tried it on rainy days.
Hey, Sam watching your videos for the past couple of days and I am happy to say that I have started doing shooting in streets 😊. Keep Creating love your content ✊🏼
I do really love your videos, keep up good work. However, i have just arrived to the UK and i have a question. In London, when i go out, taking photos without any camera straps, would it be any chance that you would get robbed ?
not worth it because every shot requires different settings. he used to do it but it’s just not worth the effort. he says the settings during most shots anyways
@@ItsTheBigHorse yeah. it seems like these videos take a lot of effort in the first place! he’s gotta record, export, and edit the go pro footage. then he has to take the pictures, export them, and edit them. then he has to take the pictures and edit them into the go pro footage. seems like so much work especially for a daily upload
@@imrnp absolutely, well put. And then do the voiceovers on top. It's a huge chunk of time, especially for not a huge amount of financial gain per video
Awesome video as always - did you really walk from Notting Hill into the West End ?? Or did you jump on tube/bike and edit that bit out ? Long old walk if you did - kudos mate
I can’t believe you showed and like my photo 😅thats just awesome 💯 love your work as always and i would suggest if you can go and take a picture of London from a distance like Alexandra palace.
Question! Would you ever make a no talking pov? Not that I don’t enjoy your commentary throughout the day, I just think it would be a great video to just go out and shoot london at night no talking, just the ambient sounds of the night life! Once again, I love these pov’s but would think a little twist would be super fun to watch and just enjoy the photos you take with no commentary
I watch a lot of your programs Celebraties Roadtrip where they go to auctions around the UK. They come to so many small rly old villages/towns. Maybe try visiting old towns ? They look so freaking amazing !!! :o
@OpticalWander What are you auto focus settings. I’m a beginner using a Nikon and am not sure what’s best for street photography do you recommend anything?
Amateur Photographer here, what maximum 880 Euro camera would compare most to this one? I am trying to achieve a close type of color accuracy to the photos you took in the video.
Totally agree you need to get out of London content getting similar having said that mine photos are mostly Manchester so you have to work with what's available ✌
Yea it does sometime get it wrong in the A7IV but that’s is down to me. On the A7iii I had set everything up to suite my shooting style but I am yet to do that with the A7IV ! But I would say subject works best depending how quickly you can move the point to where you want it. I guess there’s no wrong answer.

love a walk round London, never been nottinghill definitely will on my next trip down cheers Sam
Another amazing video Sam you should come back to Newcastle and have a walk around some of the spots you didn’t go to
Cracking video Sam the pigeon shot was sick 🔥🔥🇬🇧
Another epic one. That pigeon shot was mad!
The worry that you'll drop it or something at 1:12 is just crazy! Amazing video as always, love your content
I physically cringed when I saw he did that, my trust in my self to do that is just not that high
You’re friends are right - you do an awful lot of these…..but they’re fantastic and we love ‘em!!!!!
The details are such unbelievable ❤️
How lazy was the person at 16.40, tried putting rubbish in the bin, missed it, looked and carried on walking, definite respect to the street cleaners. Great video 😁
These videos make my day such a joy to watch honestly
Your gear is amazing, thank you for sharing the details. Opened my eyes to what I should actually buy.
Bath would be awesome for you I think. Amazing architecture there :)
Currently savings up money to buy a7iii cant wait for an upgrade!!
Amazing video!
Another shot for the cleaner guy is doing it on Manual focus and hoping another Bus pass by and hopefully catching a shot through the window. That would be an amazing shot too.
I love your POV videos. Thank you for sharing.
Keep shooting pov videos! U inspire many to go out and shoot including me! Love your energy and passion!
I love this type of photography!

Where are you from? US or European?
Great Video!! Id love to see you attempt a 200mm panning shot.
Challenge accepted
You're a legend. Sick video once again. Are you using the new 70-200?
No the old one 🙏
I can't wait for this weekend I just bought the a7riii and your vids always get me hyped
Another great video, wish I had the confidence to get out there like that in the rain! Love your content Sam!
Superb video! content!! inspiring to just grab the camera and get out in the rain

Maybe a POV around the suburbs of London.
Some cracking places of the backstreets
Instead of the fancy shops etc

Jakarta ..hai gays your camera very very good ......and many tall buildings but not many people pass on the street
1:30 into the video! Already great value! 👌🏼.
Sick video as always Sam!
You’ve inspired me to post my own POVs. Cheers mate
Hi Sam, you should definitely head to the lake district, there's some amazing locations.
Your presets are sick! Can highly recommend these!
Great Photography right there. Do you worry about water getting inside the camera damaging some components? I also got the A7IV but never tried it on rainy days.
Great video as always Sam! I still can't buy such a lens but for now I'm okay with my canon 2000d, I'm still a beginner. Love the rainy vibes❤

I love the 70mm-200mm
Great content, however can I ask what focusing mode you are in (looks like wide) and also why you are using the mechanical shutter? Thanks :)
bro the pigeons shot was fucking insane!❤
love your videos brother, been binging them over christmas. would you consider putting your settings up on the screen along with your photos

such a cool video. i love to see how you shoot. i know you use live view to shoot but do you think using the view finder is better?
I can’t believe you showed and like my photo 😅thats just awesome 💯 love your work as always and i would suggest if you can go and take a picture of London from a distance like Alexandra palace.
Yes mate keep these killer vids coming! My A7iii and 85mm are ready to go, gonna hit the streets and hit that hashtag #opticalwander

At this rate you hitting 1mil in no time ❤️
I’ll review this comment in 2 years…..
Hi. what do you think about this lens? Viltrox 35mm F1.8 Full Frame Auto Focus AF Lens for Nikon Z6
Whats the first lens ur using ? Sigma 24-70 ?
Im looking for a zoom lens under 85mm (for street). Would you recomment that sigma - or another ?
I watch a lot of your programs Celebraties Roadtrip where they go to auctions around the UK. They come to so many small rly old villages/towns. Maybe try visiting old towns ? They look so freaking amazing !!! :o
@OpticalWander What are you auto focus settings. I’m a beginner using a Nikon and am not sure what’s best for street photography do you recommend anything?
What autofocus mode is that for the quick shots? Talking about the cab photo
I just got a Sony a7iV and I was wondering if you can walk through your setting for us in a video. Please and thank you :)
I have a question do i need to learn photography to be a photographer and before buying a dslr?
What a great combination... every shot is epic!
can I ask you something? canon vs sony which is better? And why?
Anyone know what the smaller lens he was using? I recognized the 70-200mm but what was the other lens?? Thx
Hello brother Which lense you used in this video ?
You are amazing
whats the sound track in the background? dope cyberpunk vibez

i was wondering if you use full manual, shutter priority, or aperture priority for the majority of your photos?
Most definitely manual, with the 200 on autofocus
I’m using A mode and the shutter speed is locked under 200 is there a way to lock it at 200 or is it automatically locked ?
You should have left your details on the old porsche for the owners to get in touch with you. Lovely car to shoot in the future.
I think the Porsche needs an RWB treatment 👀😆
we need a video about all your lenses please!!!
Merry Christmas!!

would you say subject and face tracking is better for street photography than a single point af? does the subject tracking sometimes get it wrong?

@@Opticalwander alright cool thanks for your response! 👍
Nice, does the a7iv fps stay in 10fps or goes down to 5fps?
If you shoot jpeg or compressed raw then you get 10fps. Shooting uncompressed raw or lossless compressed will limit you to 5-6 fps I believe.
dope
enjoy this kinda video 👍
What lens are you useing please
Are the a7r's built water resistant?
New bodycam set to 60 Hz lighting ? it doesn't usually pulsate the shop windows and other lights.
What mode let’s him take multiple shots ?
@8.33 The dude at the light. Did it really focused on his head from that distance??
Optical Wonder do you have any photography books that I could buy
I don’t sorry 🙏
