    man... I know for photographers and videographers "wow awesome tones" is such a cliché comment, but seriously... your grading and colors is perfect... all of your photos are just the perfect balance of realism and mood. I seriously don't want to stop looking at your photos.. you really lit something in me and I'm so excited to go out and shoot. thank you bro

    Every single video I watch, you inspire me to focus more on my own photography; I always look back through my pictures after a video of yours. Seriously, if you make an entire 2-hour film I'd watch that because the way you explain your thought process and ideas when taking pictures is so relaxing; it kind of feels like watching an indie/creative film. Sucks about that lens breaking, a standard zoom might be too important to leave out of your kit but if you got it to work after removing the weather-sealing gaskets then hopefully nothing significant is broken with the lens.

      Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the encouraging words :) I am really happy that it brought you back to your own photography. Hahaha thanks! I am still a bit far from doing a 2hour film but maybe one day, we never know.
      Good news on the lens, my insurance will cover the costs to fix it, so lucky :)

    Great video Adrien, I can see your progression in every video I watch. The B-roll in this video was particularly immersive, it really captures a slice of Japanese life. Your image compositions are also more engaging and I like how you're capturing the moment and not over-styling the image in post'.
    Keep up the great work 👍

      Thank you for commenting and the meaningful words. Glad to see that my efforts are getting noticed in recent videos. That’s my goal, it’s also why I almost do not use slow motion as it looks good yes but take away a lot from the realness of the footage and moments.

      Thanks for the encouraging words! Indeed it is hard but I can't complain with my growth so far. No viral or buzz that made me thousands of new subscribers but a steady and consistent growth. Kinda prefer that way as I feel like my viewers are not here waiting for the next viral entertaining content but more genuinely interested in my works.

    • @Rosenbis
      @Rosenbis Год назад

      @@adriensanguinetti I can definitly confirm that. Natural growth is the best way to grow in the long run.
      I have channel (ruclips.net/user/voidspace) that took advantage of a viral video few years back. The drawback is the fact that you engagement plumb on the next videos unless you do the same kind of formula to keep the recent subscriber happy. Otherwize the algorithm will deduce from the lack of engagement of the next video that your content is not relevant anymore. And from that point is a downhill slope.
      It's cheezy and your probably heard that before, but doing what makes you happy will be better for you mental health on the long run. And that's also what's make you different from your "competition" because nobody is you.
      Anyway, have a nice weekend mate !

    Always sucks when you drop gear. Dropped a 24-70 during a job, in the rain, and it was destroyed. But like you said, in the end its only gear, no one was hurt, no one died. Ended up replacing it with a used one and still using it to this day.

    Fantastic video as always. Huge thanks for the great content! I'm a photographer as well and almost never leave home without a camera around my neck. I would like to start shooting more video while I'm out and about, but I find it a bit of a chore switching the equipment from 'photo mode' to 'video mode'. By this, I mean attaching a microphone and a variable ND filter. I can see you are shooting both stills and video in proximity; what is your process regarding equipment? Do you use a mic and filters? Do you just leave them on all the time?
    I have been to Japan and would love to visit again, but I don't watch your videos specifically because of your location, but more for the presentation. Thanks again, and all the best!

      Thanks for your comment and I will actually make a video soon on how I can shoot both videos and photos at the same time with only one camera body. It may offend some filmmakers but I will explain why I do what I do and how I set my camera to achieve such results.

    • @adriensanguinetti
      @adriensanguinetti  Год назад +1

      Everything is handheld and I used the stabilisation in DaVinci resolve to stabilize some shots if the software made a good job at doing so.
      Probably f1.4 and ISO 800

    Do you use a LUT for your video color grade?

    • @adriensanguinetti
      @adriensanguinetti  Год назад

      I rarely use one simple LUT to do my colorgrades. I prefer using Powergrade (on DaVinci) and adjust contrats and colors depending on the atmosphere of the shots.
