Suggestion: Add the title of each preset used in each picture taken. I think it’s best to gauge what preset is best for which environment. (Bought the preset but not sure which preset is for what environment, but anyways the Faded Teal is great!)
These photos are awesome. I am also amazed at how most of the Japanese people you shot were either oblivious to your presence or simply got used to being subject of street photography. It is so tough to get these types of shots. A quick question. Are you shooting with minus exposure compensation setting? It seems the subject surrounding is "darker" than shown on your LCD screen.
Sam these shots are siiiick!! The dark tones and colours on them are just lush! What’s the preset you used for them? Hope you’re enjoying Australia. Look forward to the next one.
I’m Asian and we have rain days often. kudos for you to keep shooting despite the rain. I always see people so afraid of alittle water on their gear. own the gear not other way round. shooting in rain is fine.. water on the camera n lens is fine but dont bring it into the water without underwater cover tho. haha!
I'd say that it's so satisfying and relaxing to watch this. Thanks a bunch for that! One step further, that'd be awesome if you put the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to the final edits by even specifying which preset you've used. That'd convince me to go specifically for that preset personally. :)
Hi there! I couldn't help but notice the structure at 12:52 in the video. Is that a bridge beside that building? If it is, it would be fun to shot from up there using a 58mm or 100mm long focal lens. Just imagine waiting for someone to walk by the building and capturing that moment.
Yeah as always great shots. To be honest, even though you got soaked in rain… the shots you got while you were in that rain …are “REALLY BEAUTIFUL,GOOD”. And 1 more thing,is there few more pov video from japan?? Because i am kinda looking for 1 shot which you captured😅🙈.
Hi, I'm loving your channel and have recently bought a (relatively) cheap camera, Fuji X-T30ii, with a view to taking up photography. The initial intention was landscape but having seen your work I might delve into Street/Night photography too. My query is, would you be able to show your photos pre and post processing please? Currently, finances won't allow the purchase of any software but have access to the free version of Capture One that comes with having a Fuji camera and wondering if I'll be able to get by with that.
That was a fun one…..love the Toyota Crown taxi photos! Cheers. May I make a suggestion…..I recommend the GoPro 10 or 11 as its hydrophobic lens coating works like magic……plus it’s a little bit better in low light and the 360 horizon lock in 4k is a neat trick. Honestly the iPhone 14 is terrific in low light and perhaps a better substitute for POV at night.
Thank you so much 🤙🏼 fun fact, this was the GoPro 10 🙏 iPhone 14pro doesn’t work very well as a pov camera for many reasons. The GoPro 10 is very good the issue here is I had the max mod wide lens on which I believe doesn’t have the hydrophobic coating on (I may be wrong) Appreciate the help and insight though.
Hey just a question about your vlogging gear: do you use the internal mic of the GoPro or do you use a different mic? If yes which mic do you use for vlogging with your GoPro?
For my pov’s yes I use the internal mic. Because the GoPro is mounted high on my chest rather than low the camera is close to my mount so it’s essentially like a lav mic which is why it sounds good.
@@Opticalwander thank you for your fast reply. I was considering buying my first GoPro for video and maybe vlog but I heard that lowlight performance and internal mic are quite bad. You made me a bit more confident in my decision to go for it.
I'm so confused. When I'm looking at the camera screen when u take shots. The result is so different than shown on ur camera monitor. Is it all color editing magic?
To a certain level you can say it's because of the editing. But the camera monitor doesn't have high colour range and bright level as our monitor, and that too can be the reason why it looks so different.
Cool photographer i love those street video shots of Japan "why not get your 70-300mm and your 150-600mm out and give us some Japanese countryside and some wildlife shots? I dare you 😂😂

Love these POV's, it's just os relaxing to watch. Japan is really a photographers paradise :)
Honestly making me want to go to Japan. Love these POV's.
Japan is the best country for street photography. Or at least you make me feel like it is. Great POV!
Wonderful ! Just wonderful. I learned how to take good night-shots on the streets in Japan. Thank you so much.

Great vid man! Hope to explore Japan soon too 📸

Mostly Sony lover then changed white balance and other settings and I match each photo
@@Opticalwander thanks mate. They look amazing!
is “sony lover” one of your presets? Because I bought it but I can’t find it
@@Opticalwander can you make a video how you edit a shot with the sony preset?

I have a old 85mm Samyang not AF, about 15 years I guess. I have to say I love it soooooooo much. It always fun and challenging.
That guy against the wall! That shot is so beautiful 🙂
Great video!! Thanks for all the tips along the way 🙌 one question, what GoPro settings you using to get such good image quality at night?
Are you using the down button as a custom super35 punch in? AND is that lens water sealed? I read it isn't lol
wish u put the settings for each photo like shutter, fstop, iso, most times i try to zoom into ur camera to figure it out xD

Love it man 🔥🔥🔥 Dope video
Incredible camera, hope you are able to bless someone who needs it, I would love it but my Nikon D5000 will work. I want the Sony A7 iv soon!

Beautiful shots
Is there any disadvantage to shooting on burst mode, I always have my camera on single shot but maybe I should change it?

Which present used? And which lends ? Thanks 🙏🏼
I really need a Sony a7iv, this would help me expand my photography to a new level!
Amazing POV, as always!!
What camera are you using for the POV?
Love it bro.we want more street photography....love fom India🇮🇳🇮🇳
Hey sam do you think it is worth upgrading the sony alpha 7iii to 7 iv??
16:17 the poor girl wanted a photo but you didn't notice😂, I feel kinda bad for her lol. Great video Sam!
Sick skills man 👌🏼❤️

A dude circling down the road..
also 4 signs on the left saying no circling
lol
9:28 wow! That's a great shot
Hi man love your work. Is “Sony Lover” a preset of yours? I can’t find it among the ones I bought. Thanks in advance ❤
It’s part of the newer presets, when did you buy the presets ? (Send me an email with your order number) 🤙🏼
@@Opticalwander I bought it on the 21st of novembre. I’ll sand you the email and thank you so very much for answering ❤️🙏🏻
@@Opticalwander Thanks, I filled the “Enquire & book” page on your website with all the details. thank you 🙏🏻
Great videos, thanks! How to support/buy presets? It just goes to a LinkedIn share popup?
Hey, I’ve just tested the link and it works fine 🙏
@@Opticalwander Thanks! It totally works again =D
Are you using Manual or auto focus bro, I did some 85mm the other day and wasn’t sharp. Love it thanks
Autofocus 95% of the time 🤙🏼

Hey Sam! Do you have any website or a portfolio wherein we can see all your shots? Would love to see all your work!
Hey, I only post on Instagram 😊
if i buy the presets but i dont have lightroom yet will they work when i get lightroom at christmas
Great video! What settings you use on your gopro? How much do you push the iso when shooting at night?
I set it at 1/50 for shutter then auto iso with max iso at 3200 the colour graded.
what auto focus mode you use?
14:00 I guess it's a gaijin pass that you can walk on that side of the street. Normally you cannot do that here in Japan. 😂
Osaka 💘

9:30 wow that's genius!
FYI for next time you visit Japan in the rain, there are umbrellas sold at every convivence store.
camera and lens?
Why do you use two Alpha sevens?
Will you go to Hokaido next time?
i challenge you to do photography street with low price camera
Can you please make thome free the presets for mobile only..
2:24 missed photo opportunity of that girl in blue walking towards you 😢
❤️
Would it be a bother to put the unedited photo as well as the edited on screen? I think that would be cool. Never seen many do that.
I pretty much do they in every other pov apart from the last two 🤙🏼
lol i use a lens hood in the rain ; )
Why didnt u use wide angle ? With alll those lights it would have been perfect
are you adicted to taxi"s? :)

I didn’t have the time on this trip. But yes. I will when I return 🙂
