There's a time for ETAR, there's a time for a new bow. It's admirable that you keep embarking on new archery adventures. Greetings from good old Europe 🇨🇭.
I started with olympic and went to trad some years ago. I think it doesnt matter which way you switch, the change itself will teach you a lot about your shot cycle and archery mechanics, I think. At least that's how it was for me.
Happy new Bow! Quite a while ago I used to shoot "Olympic" Recurve and they are great bows! Accurate, fast etc etc, but they lack the Fun factor. These days I shoot thumb draw Asiatic bows, now there is a challenge for you! The bows are dirt cheap (even decent ones) weigh nothing and are VERY efficient. I usually use a lighter draw (than your recurve/Trad bows) Korean bow , but I am only shooting to 180 yds so I don't need anything powerful. Also my entire kit (including a flask of Tea) weigh less than your bow. Well worth a look if you want to bring fun into your archery and there are plenty of Field/3D comps for them over here - there are probably more on your side of the pond. All my best and I hope all your arrows come home - mine don't!
No humidity here in California at the moment. But warm. Completely understand you on “competing” with a wood bow when you’re in a field of modern bows. Hey it’s ok at least your Striker is made as a takedown, mine is a self bow and 72” long. Usually the only person shooting Primitive longbow or I’ll sign up as Trad longbow wood…. Maybe be in the middle of the pack. It’s good though makes you try harder. Good luck with your new bow.
Nothing better than seeing a pretty lady shooting a bow.

Looking forward to regular updates on how it's going.

Those are on my wish list!

Looks fun!
100 percent support from me !! Good luck 🍀
You just like my tasting clothing 😉
Hey glad to see you back shooting.
Good luck with it.
At 7:35 I started cracking up at your response.
5:42 Yup, sounds like a target recurve
exciting new adventure
Oh Where Oh Where Have You Been. Miss Your Videos.
I have shot Olympic Recurve for many yrs, but was forced to stop due to Moderna Fatigue.
That's it I am never shooting with you again.
Just kidding. I will follow you through the woods no matter what you are shooting.
You may have to hide the sight when we start the courses at E.T.A.R. next year. ;-)
Archery is all about fun! What ever makes you happy!
Well, maybe not a compound bow. ;-)
I’m making a plaid cozy for the sight so I won’t get kicked out of ETAR 💀💀💀
The Dark Side is growing inside of you ... RESIST !!!
neverrrrrrr
I enjoy both shooting styles.
I even shoot compound bows.
Why limit yourself if you enjoy trying new things?
Agreed!!!
Gave up on learning barebow gap? Trying a completely different style? 🤯🤞🏼🤞🏼
Nope! I’m still trying to gap in 3D. This is just something new to play with
The problem is now you’re driving a BMW, it will be hard to go back to the Toyota.
I'm confused why she didn't go bare-bow instead of Olympic recurve?
I was just thinking that as well.
I know nothing about Olympics but, should it sound so twangy/clattery?
Apparently. I’m going to ask about quieting it down!
Why not show your group and state what distance you’re shooting from?
I said I was shooting at 10 yards. I guess I could have shown my groups but this video was more about just learning this bow.
