    I’ve had my 150L for a month now. I’ve put a whopping 34 miles on it. The only complaint I have is that I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I bought it in the summer. Too darn hot to ride until fall comes. Really good video! You hit on all the reasons why I bought the bike. I’m 66 years old and used to ride the big bore dirt bikes. Just decided to get a bike I could putt around on after having not ridden for 15 years. Surprised how rusty I am getting back into it.

      @nicolettedavis2030 That's pretty common I think. I rode dirt when I was young and a little street in my 20's. Stopped for a few years and got back into it. It was like learning all over again. Take it slow and keep ridding when able. It will be "old hat" again soon enough.

    I'm happy to hear ALL of your positive comments. I got mine 3 weeks ago and only have 300 miles on it so far. You are absolutely right when you say it does everything well. It's not really fast, and it's not a moto-cross bike. It is a great machine to trail ride on, and it's great for running around town. No complaints from me either!

      Good Intel. I'm 6'5" and 230+ before gear. My vStrom 650 was my "do all bike" including occasional 2-up trips, but I wiped out in the mud, cutting through a farmer's land (shortcut to get mail) and discovered that my knees don't let me pick up anything low anymore (over 60).
      My local dealer called yesterday, said they've got their 2 bikes in (for the year!) and one is assembled and ready to test. In fact a woman was testing as we spoke.
      I got ready, grabbed a helmet and gloves, drove down, but I was too late. She bought the bike and it was gone!
      So I put a down payment on the other one.
      I'm not expecting to travel 2-up on this, but thinking of getting an old cruiser for that ... they're practically giving them away.
      I shopped online for a light dual sport (prefer a DR350, maybe a KLX) and 20+ year old units are selling at 3500+ and looking sad.
      Here at the North Pole (Canada, 9 hours north of Minneapolis) the bike is C$5110- plus tax. In real money (USD), depending on exchange for the Canadian peso, that's U$4k to $4500, pre-tax.
      Our main roads are paved, 100 kmph (62 MPH) limit, but the rest are slower, and most gravel. And I'm 1.5 blocks from the beach. Should be great around here, and also in the city. Getting their, I can take the smaller of 2 highways. Any longer highway rides, I'll take the cruiser, or maybe hold onto the vStrom for 2-up and just not take it off road, which it's too heavy for anyway. The XR should be way more fun in trails.

    I enjoy your videos. I have had one of these for a couple of months now and really enjoy it. However, I noticed at speeds of 45 plus, particularly when WOT to get to 50 plus, the bike sort of "skips" it feels like. As if its slipping on power or something. It's an unsettling feeling. Lower speeds - perfect and smooth as butter. But at higher speeds it's kind of scary. Maybe I got some bad gas or something. Any clues as to what it could be?

    • @MishMashMoto
      @MishMashMoto  7 месяцев назад

      If it’s between about 47-53 MPH it’s common on these bikes. I think it’s a harmonic issue being transmitted through the chain/sprockets you are feeling. Our bikes do this also at that speed. Try slowly rolling off the throttle until it stops and “cruise” there (sometimes full throttle helps also). I don’t think it’s doing any serious harm but is very annoying if you can’t keep the speed above 55. Good chain maintenance (lubrication) also helps significantly reduce this vibration.
