    Fantastic video. Thanks for this comparison. Would love to see you do the same comparison with the drivers from these three manufacturers. Regarding the fairway woods, I have hit the 3-wood for the Callaway Paradym and TM Stealth. Ping not yet available locally. Nonetheless, the Callaway was the clear winner in terms of both distance and dispersion.

    I chose the G430 max. Got the driver, 3w, 5w; as well as the 4h. They are amazing clubs, and I've already hit some incredible shots with them. The feel, the sound; OMG...

    I got fitted for a 3 wood only yesterday. Tried all 3 of them. Liked the stealth, good numbers but wasn’t quite as consistent of the deck. Then tried the ping. Way shorter, spin too high and all over the place plus I hated the sound. Then tried the callaway. Looked the best behind the ball, went further and much better dispersion. Everything I was looking for

    Excellent comparison and review as always. Would be interesting to see you compare 3, 5, and 7 woods of same make as those of us with a slower swing speed can’t get distance with a 3 wood.
    With my club head speed (84mph) and ball speed (119mph] my G410 7 wood goes almost as far as a 3 wood (172 carry, 190 total with 7 wood) so I use a 7 wood all the time and got rid of the 3 wood. I think my 5 wood can go slightly further but only total in dry conditions.

    Great test! I wondered while watching some of those Ping shots go left if maybe the flat setting on the hosel would have straightened it out. Lots of great fairway wood offerings this year. I would love to see another video in the future on the lower-spin fairway wood models - how the Paradym Triple Diamond, Stealth 2 Plus, etc. (and maybe include the G430 Max there too if the LST version isn’t out yet) compare to the TSR3 you were fitted for last fall.

    Great review, do like a bit of on course comparison with a mix of off a tee. I tend to go with the flat profile, TM stealth 2 HD is very flat and large too. Havent tried it as out my price range this year...

    Nice video as always. I tried the ping and the taylormade during a fitting but not the callaway. Still my best choice was the Titleist TR2. Everything was better. Feel, feed back, distance, swing speed, dispersion. after of course it remains a question of personal feeling and often subjective choice as some will swear to you that BMW is better than Mercedes or that Porsche is better than Ferrari. it remains a personal choice which is determined at the level of sensations and results. for me the winner is Titleist. but it is obvious that all these fairway woods are excellent. The only way to find out is to try them and find which one speaks to you.

    I just hit the Ping at the range though the Club only had the 7 wood to demo. It was very easy to hit. It was a 7 wood after all. Slight draw, never too much. Good height. I felt the less spin’s good effect (Spincistency). I hit the standard model, and would go with that. The more spin may be too much for me. I didn’t try it. The Stealth2 looks great looking down at the head. Thought I haven’t hit it yet.

    Yet another great video Sophie. Thank you. I have hit all three of those 3 woods with their stock shafts and for me the stealth 2 was without a doubt the best. Landslide victory. I was allowed to demo the stealth2 with the ventus regular flex at the range and during a round of golf at the impressive Grand Geneva golf course in Wisconsin. It was love at first hit. Consistently 220-240 off the deck is not something I have ever had in the bag before. Laser straight with height no less. My mishits with the stealth2, which were very rare, was a draw instead of a slice. Looks good, feels good at impact, feels nice and balanced when swinging. A three wood that is easy to hit and crazy forgiving. Absolutely awesome. This is a game changer for me. It no doubt saved me some strokes. I got a 77 that day which for me is a personal best. The stealth2 made my round more fun too. I felt like Tiger out there. Now if I could just get that scotty Cameron I have been eyeing up and sink some putts. Thanks Sophie, golf a lot, and Taylormade. This club is going in my bag this month. Trading in all of the other brands of fairway woods I have towards it. Not sure how other brands are being deemed more forgiving. Fargiveness is the real deal. Now I am going to have to try out the stealth2 driver.

    I'm looking hard at the Stealth 2 TI in 5w turned down to 17. Would be an awesome low spin bomber to go with my g425 7w. The SIMs and org Stealth was just too low spin. I'm hoping the sliding weight helps that.

  • @suprand
    @suprand Год назад +10

    The stealth 2 not being adjustable was a major knock for me and ultimately made me choose between the callaway and ping. Just much better way to dial you in especially those who need a degree or so for optimal launch.

      Me too. I bought the Stealth 2 driver, changed the shaft with a new adapter, kept the old one. I then wanted to get the 3 and 5 Stealth 2 fairway woods. NO adapter in them. They put it in the Stealth 2 plus but not the stealth 2. Pretty cheap of Taylormade. I just kept my Ping g400 3 wood and the g410 5 wood. They hit just as well.

    Hi Sophie, Great Video. 1 Question and 1 Point. What shafts / flexes are you using in each club. Important information to know? Showing a bit more data in a table just before your summary information would be helpful. Something perhaps like Michael Newton does... Thanks and Great Job!!

    Great comparison! I love my Rouge ST max 3 and 5 woods for the exact reason you said, shallow face ! Extremely easy and versatile off the turf. And they’re super forgiving. Not going to get Paradym.
    This is why I sold my Sim Max 3&5 woods. Too deep faced, very inconsistent off the turf. But they were pretty good off of the tee.
    I wouldn’t mind the G430 max but too late now just bought the Rouges in December

      I had the same issue wasn't launching the sim 2 fairways high enough with the deep face so had a fitting start of January and found my perfect fairway woods. Went with the tour edge e722, outstanding from turf or the tee and at £199 each with the premium ventus blue 6s shaft an absolute bargain

    Recently rented Ping G425 full set, and the driver and 3 wood and 5 wood were the longest, straightest easiest clubs I have ever hit. I playba Cobra RadX from a TM M2 and my friend plays the Sim2 Max and these Pings destroyed them.

    Really good comparison Sophie. I have hit the Paradym 5 wood in a demo, but not in my ideal shaft. It was pretty easy to launch and felt very solid. I am looking forward to hitting the other two. Last year Stealth FW were in my bag, 3 and 7. The two years prior it was the G410-never switched from to the 425.

    The only one I haven't hit yet is the Ping G430, I currently game Sim2 Max 3 and 5 with the stock OEM shaft, the Stealth 2 wasn't even close to those for me and the Paradym was even with those clubs. That being said, I will probably hit the Paradym again as I wasn't striking it well that day, I ws striking the Stealth 2 and my Sim 2s well the day I hit them and it wasn't even close, I think the stock Stealth 2 FW shafts just weren't the correct shaft for me. I hit the 3wd best with a Graphite Design shaft, and I am not paying that much for an upgraded shaft, TM choices of OEM shafts weren't the best for me this go around.

    I love your reviews, Sophie. Excellent information delivered with an incredible smile. Well done, Sophie!
    Of the three I would be most interested in the Ping. Smart choice would be the Callaway for the consistency, but, Ping moving out of their stability “comfort zone” has me intrigued. Unfortunately, ALL of them are severely over priced. Sign of the times? Yes! But now these companies are making it too expensive for most golfers to keep up with the changes.

    • @atamagashock
      @atamagashock 3 месяца назад

      Wait a year after a release, and you can get it for like 60% of the og price. These companies keep dropping new lines or and update to the existing line every year. I just bought the stealth2 3 and 7 wood today. Paid $200 for each club brand new from dicks sporting goods. Also there’s no reason to update your clubs every time these companies release a new one. Even the pros don’t do that. Half the guys on tour are playing old 3 woods. A large majority are using the stealth or stealth 2 right now. I forget who it is, but one of them is still running their 3 wood from 2017. If they can do it, every other golfer out there should do the same.

    Nearly Every YT test seems to be a 3 wood for a fairway wood, where as most club golfers use a 5 or 7 wood that i know. One in 20 might use a 3 wood. So how about doing a 5 and 7 wood test, don't follow the flock so to speak.

  • @douglaslunsford7052
    @douglaslunsford7052 Год назад

    You are disingenuous with the statistics. Your club head speed with the Callaway was 85-86, club head speed with the TaylorMade was 86-87, and the club head speed with the Ping was 87-88. That 2-3 mph difference in club head speed would make up the difference in ball speed and carry distance of roughly 5mph ball speed and 6-9 yards of carry distance. Noticed you left club head speed out of your shown statistics.
