Plz react to Eragon the dragon movie
that what you get after SAW 3
flashbacks!
The opening autopsy was after the events of saw 3 and 4. The tape is basically telling that Hoffman is continuing his legacy.
he told him his test is about to begin
Yea he was still just a helper for Jigsaw during the events that take place at the same time as Saw 3. Since Jigsaw knew what Amanda was up to and that she wasn't going to be able to take over for him, if Jeff failed his test and he were to die, he swallowed the waxed cassette for Hoffman to find which is what takes place at the beginning and the end of Saw 4 (after the everything that transpires during Saw 3)
It's simple...as Saw movies are known for lol
@@sillygoose4263 it works both ways, it is a way to make Hoffman seem innocent, but it is also true because John wants to test Hoffman again
It’s Johns way of telling Hoffman that he knows that Hoffman orchestrated things to ensure that John, Amanda everyone involved in the game of Saw 3/4 would die so that he could wash his hands clean of his connection to Jigsaw and that Hoffman will be tested (Jill puts Hoffman in the trap in 6 and ultimately pays the price for his rampage in 7 because John ensured Gordon would watch over Jill and lock him away if he killed Jill).
@@jetsssssss i actually predicted that Jill will test Hoffman cause John left him a warning and Jill received a box too huge for photos for next victims
The opening autopsy is factually common to examine every bit of the body to determine the exact cause of death.
I think they opened him up to retrieve the tape from his stomach. He died because his throat was sliced open.
@@perilouspear9640they still open you up regardless. They check everything.
One of the best twists of the entire franchise. Saw 3 and Saw 4 taking place at the same time!!
A shame they didn't get it
@@yippykiyay89fr
@@yippykiyay89they did at the end.
@@yippykiyay89There both thick stupid.
Fun Fact 1: The opening/ending was written as the ending to Saw 3.
Just explaining things in the timeline: Saw 2 took place 6 months before Saw 3 and Saw 4. And they both happened simultaneously. Jeff and Riggs were being tested simultaneously. Hoffman's scene with the voice recording in the autopsy room is what happened AFTER all the events. Why Hoffman seems thoughtful and surprised is something you will only understand in the future when reacting to the next chapters.
Even in death, John will always know how to read. The shade he throws is immaculate and the backup plans to his backup plans never end
I just realized that the teddy bear hoffman is holding when perez asks him : boy or girl, is the same bear jeff’s daughter is sitting with in Saw 3 😮
The first scene takes place after the events of the movie. We're supposed to think Hoffman as a detective was getting told for the first time that there's another jigsaw apprentice out there, but he was being warned that he's going not going to "walk away untested" just because he's dead. The mention of "another doctor" being taken is a hint to the timeline because that doctor was Lynn
Fun fact: the reason John chose the pig mask is because his son was supposed to be born during the year of the pig
So happy that Tara and Aaron are continuing to react to these movies! These movies goes so crazy!👍
Me too, I love them two together so much
Same
Saw IV is the start of the next 4 movies of pure insanity and nonsense, I love it
literally!! a mess in the best way
@@jalynlovesbtr this is the best one after saw!
3 & 4 happened at the same time. Jigsaw was alive the whole time. The autopsy from the beginning is the last scene. Hoffman helped Jigsaw, but at the end (autopsy) he discovered he will be tested.
40:53 it’s really confusing in a first watch, but one thing to keep in mind is that dead bodies tell fewer lies than the living. John’s death was at the end of SawIII, and in this movie, we saw Agent Straum enter the room where John, Amanda, and Lynn’s bodies were, so by that point, they were dead. That is an absolute.
The autopsy scene at the beginning of the movie would’ve had to have happened after all of the 3rd movie’s events. But we saw in the climax of this movie that Straum killed Jeff, and stumbled onto the final room in SawIII with all their bodies, and John’s corpse was still on the table. For it to have an autopsy, it would’ve FIRST needed to be discovered in that room.
If that was a really confusing explanation, tldr; the FIRST scene with John’s autopsy in the morgue is the end of the movie, and the final scene is a continuation of that. Riggs’ excursion is all technically a flashback, and all of SawIV takes place at the same time as SawIII. 3’s game was being orchestrated by John & Amanda, and 4’s primarily by Detective Hoffman.
SAW IV was so twisted!! A person who can see the good in anyone and will try to be a savior and have his choices ripped and turned/reverse on his moral was brilliant writing!
Think of saw 4 as more of a "sidequel" than a "sequel" 😊
Or a parallelquel lol
Midquel is the word you're looking for
Yes!! I've always said 4 was my favorite, the reveal just to have it end that way for Eric is just crazy!! The way the story intertwines with 3, dang I don't rewatch movies often but I have watched this franchise all the way through so many times and am always excited for 3 & 4
Absolutely love the Tara + Aaron duo ❤ especially reacting to this franchise 😂
Fun Fact 2: The Glass Box was used in a deleted scene, but the scene was scrapped due to time.
It'll come back tho 😏
Also, the victim was supposed to be the hobbo that Rigg encounters in the Motel.
@@ErickBernardo_I wonder what the use would’ve been before Hoffman got to it
Just wanted to say it’s refreshing hearing people speculating on what’s happening and going to happen makes me feel like I’m watching this franchise all over again for the first time. Also just wanted to say for most of the questions you two had all will be answered just keeping watching anyway it’s been a blast can’t wait for the next one
This film makes a lot more sense when you realise Saw 3 & 4 take place at the same time, the autopsy scene is after all of that where we find out Hoffman is the only one of Jigsaw's helpers left.
3 and 4 take place at the exact same time. When you get to the ending of the movie, you’re watching the ending of three and four play out in real time at the same time.
The very first scene we see in the movie is actually chronologically the final scene of the movie.
The wax tape was for after all the events, telling Hoffman that he was the survivor and the next Jigsaw.
The beginning autospy scene is the ending, SAW 3 AND 4 take plsce at the same time. The autopsy scene is the ending to 4 and shows Hoffman will be carrying out the work SAW 5+
Where would you rank SAW IV against the rest of the franchise??
It's definitely in my top 5, above 6 and 3.
1. Saw 2
2. Saw
3. Saw X
4. Saw 3
5. Saw 6
6. Saw 4
7. Jigsaw
8. Saw 5
9. Saw 3D
10. Spiral
my rankings: Saw 1, Saw 2, Saw X, Saw 6, Saw 3, Saw 4, Saw 5, Spiral, Jigsaw, Saw 7
Hard to say now that ive seen saw x.......have to rewatch them all again but saw IV is my fav on par with the original.
Saw 4,5 and 7 is the same pretty much. Saw 1, 2, 3 and 6 is the best ones.
24:18(ish) that's the lady from Saw 2. I believe her name was Addison. She got her hands stuck in the box with the blades.
We are back for more! Im so glad they continuing this franchise.. i hope they do Saw 5, 6, 7, Jigsaw, Spiral and X as well!
Please do the rest of them. You can't just stop the soap opera early.
I think if they've gone this far, they'll keep going unless views plummet or something. They only had to really watch 1 and 2 if they wanted to watch X later.
@@ImAlsoMerobiba Greg and John haven't done anything with Chucky Season Three yet. So yeah
Love that editing transition to the next scene technique.
Keep em coming!
edit: More Hoffman story to come, the timeline does make sense!
This movie is a hit and miss for me but always enjoyed the saw movies.
Interesting facts:
•A coroner was on set at all times for the autopsy scene. The autopsy scene was passed completely uncut by the MPAA. The autopsy scene was deliberately made gruesome to distance the film from similar scenes that occur in TV series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The autopsy scene at the start of the film was originally supposed to take place at the end of Saw III.
• The Tobin Bell body cast used in the autopsy scene took two weeks to be constructed.
• In the making of the "Mausoleum Trap", prosthetic thread was used on both actors. Louis Ferreira really couldn't speak during filming; Kevin Rushton could see, but not very clearly.
• Lionsgate's sixth highest-grossing film in the United States and Canada.
• Body Count: 10. (Including both Cecil Adams, whose death is shown in a flashback, and Jill's miscarriage, which was also shown in a flashback.)
We LOVE THE SAW VIDEOS! Thank you for all the amazing content. You two bring me so much joy 🪚
This is the most chaotic duo.....they will never cease to bore me 😂
Wait what?
So they always bore you?
@@mitchw3170 that's what I was reading it as I had to legit look up the definition just in case I've been saying it wrong my whole life lmao
The autopsy scene and Hoffman playing the Jigsaw tape take place after Saw 3 & 4, which are happening concurrently. When the cop said another doctor has been taken from the hospital they were talking about Lynn who worked at the same hospital as Dr. Gordon.
Waited weeks for this one. I’m gonna need the rest of them consecutively, please🙏🏼
I'm so happy they are reacting to all of them!
Saw is a gorey Soap Opera and I am here for it. 😂❤
When people said saw should have been a tv series vs a movie series kinda makes sense
Looking forward to you guys reaching Saw 6... that one is very much worth getting to...
i think rigg’s games wasnt about saving his wife i think it was about saving himself and learning not to obsess over others. i don’t think she was actually involved in the game.
Glad you guys are continuing with this. Not too many people are big fans of the movie, but I like it. III and IV took place at the same time which is a cool take and we get to see how the Saw Universe continues to flesh itself out (no pun intended). The opening scene of the movie takes place after everything else.
The storyline will get a bit convoluted from here on out due to them all taking place after John and Amanda dying (except for Saw X), but it's actually much easier to follow than people make it out to be. As for the reasoning: It was because Rigg wasn't able to let go. You'll learn more about how and why Hoffman is involved in Saw V (as well as the reasoning of how these games are still occurring).
On an unrelated note, Tara's shirt is awesome.
5 definitely clears a lot up about 3 and 4
I agree that 4 is probably the most bulky and slightly incoherent; almost too ambitious in how it plays with time, which as you say means it takes its eye off the ball with Jeff (of whose arc is very anticlimatic) but 5 is much more stripped back and easier to understand, which gives it more of an impact
Also loving your reviews!!
Simple as this. The film is a flashback. The autopsy is after the fact. But both 3 and 4 run concurrently which is what the big reveal is
Or the opening scene is a flash forward.😊
Lol the confusion is the best part of this reaction for me 🤣
Im definitely hoping this continues but guess we'll find out fun reaction y'all 👏
Both 3 and 4 happen at the same time. The scene of Jigsaw's autopsy is the ending of both movies, that's why you see the same scene 2 times because it closes both of them. From now on, the movies will involve two plots: detectives looking for Jigsaw's partners and new victims. Of course, when you watch 5 it'll answer a lot of questions.
I think saw 4 becomes less confusing when you watch Saw 5 but yes it is confusing.
Hell yeah! Happy that you're continuing the Saw franchise!
I lost it at them watching the autopsy. 😂
I rank the Saw films as follows:
10. Spiral
9. Jigsaw
8. Saw 3D
7. Saw 4
6. Saw 2
5. Saw 3
4. Saw 5
3. Saw 6
2. Saw X
1. Saw
I literally remember when I was a kid watching teletoon at night around Halloween and being scared shitless at Saw’s commercial… I was 8 in 2007, so old enough for the simpsons that was the first show of teletoon after dark. ahhhhh great memories x)
😂😂 Tara's frustration had her cursing a little more than she usually does for this one
This movie is a perfect representation of misdirection through editing, and colour and set design details. When putting the movies back-to-back in an editing format, it funnily enough makes complete sense.
SIMPLIFIED EXPLANATION:
- Upon a rewatch, you'll notice that Agent Strahm never saw the autopsy.
- The movie uses a clever diversion tactic of playing out events happening at the same time of the 3rd movie while Jeff is completing his test.
- During Saw IV, we're also shown events from the now (Officer Rigg) completing his test to Detective Matthews.
- Detective work never slows down, there's always something new to be discovered during a case such as this. Therefore, the purpose of this type of showcase is to show the audience just how much the world outside of the traps and tests are still moving and doing what needs to be done in order to solve the case in both instances (Agent Strahm's situation - during Saw 3, and Rigg's situation - the now).
It can be confusing when not paying complete attention, but it's one of the few Saw movies that benefits the audience upon multiple viewings.
Once you get through the first 7 movies + Saw X, everything will make PERFECT sense, but NOT before. This is one of those franchises that forces you to wait to get a clearer picture of what's happening in every corner. You technicially CAN figure it out now, but that's only if you're paying close attention to the finer details. If you focus on too many random details without having the story just be told to you, you can get lost very easily - it's what happened upon its initial release and as a result, the movie wasn't recieved all that well until years later when people realized just how great the movie truly is from an editing and timeline standpoint.
Same
hahaha exactly@@ninjanibba4259
Top tier reaction tbf.
Watched alot of people react and you too are genuinly good at it, thank you
This one's only confusing because it starts with him on the table. It's showing you how we got to this point and he's telling that detective he will be tested
The transition at 15:08 is WILD
your reactions echo exactly how i felt after first watching the film. Saw it in the theater on opening night, after waiting a year to find out how they'd answer the questions from saw 3. All of that just to be left with more questions unanswered. Luckily for you two, you don't have to wait another year just to see what happens next. Still a fan of the series, but i think the quality of the first 2 films is hard to top. The most recent, Saw X is high up on the list though.
The detective that walks in is grace from manifest one of my favorite netflix series you guys should watch its really good
Yay - love this duo for Saw, even if 4 isn't one of my favorites of the franchise. I hope the viewership numbers let you guys continue 🖤
Tara, you make us Ericksons proud with your great reactions and wonderful "Ring that bell!" singing!! And Aaron, this is my first experience with you as a reactor....and with your awesome shirt and epic intro voice, I liked you immediately! 😁
Awesome seeing ya both do another of these! 😊
New kid on the “Ice” block
Saw 3 and 4 are happening at the same time.
i love this pair! their reaction to gore is so fun to watch 😁
THE BEGINNING & END IS MEANT TO BE THE SAME SCENE. Just more dialogue… THE TAPE ITSELF IS LETTING HOFFMAN(cop) know that he will be tested too…3-4 are simontaniyusly (I killed that🤣) the NECKLACE will be brought up again 🤫
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR MORE SAW REACTIONS YESS
The autopsy scene we see at the beginning actually takes places after the games of saw 3 and saw 4
This was a fun shoutout lol I think with how long I have been a patron we should probably get to know each other more! 😂 you guys weren’t far off though, you guys told my deepest darkest secret of stealing fruit hahah
Saw 3 and Saw 4 are happening at the same time. Jeff watches Amanda shoot Lynn, Jeff shoots Amanda, and then Strahm comes in and shoots Jeff
Although I have yet to watch Jigsaw and Spiral, out of the ones I've seen my favs are Saw X, II, and I in that order. But I'm glad u guys are intending to finish the series.
Чуваки, реакция очень крутая.👍👌🔥👏 Жду вашей реакции на следующие части Пилы.👌
они тупые, даже не просекли концовку и ее время действия
I’m actually impressed with how easily confused you are at the timeline thing Lmao
Saw IV has always been my favorite. It has some of my favorite traps in the franchise and I love the reveal of Hoffman taking over as Jigsaw. Basically Saw 2 takes place about 6 months before Saw 3+4. Saw 3 and Saw 4 take place simultaneously. The beginning autopsy scene in this film is in the future. This is definitely one of the hardest Saw movies to understand, and it took me a second watch to really understand.
29:30 "you gotta save yourself"
... and his conversion begins.
16:01 that was the very first pic of the movie set post production
I love these reactions
The autopsy scene is after what happens throughoit the movie. The whole thing is basically a flashback
John is the Batman of horror films 😂😂he has a plan and a backup of that plan + another one incase the back up doesn't work
The opening autopsy scene was, chronologically, the ending scene. The entire movie took place before it and happened during Saw 3.
saw iv is the best setup for saw v!!! prepare for a great next film.
Even after all these years John was pullin a baddy
The guy with his mouth sewn shut at the start who shows up later, he’s also in season 5 of breaking bad, Walter White does the famous “say my name” scene with him
Bullshit, cartel got Fring
I remember years ago hearing the director or producer maybe, I forget... he said they included John's autopsy to make sure the audiences knew he was really dead... jigsaw is so tricky we would think somehow, someway, he would've survived and still been orchestrating the games
Man they really had trouble grasping the idea that the whole movie took place during 3 and the autopsy was after both films XD
yes thank god im so happy to see this
Been waiting for this one HYPE
Movies 3 and 4 take place simultaneously.
JUST wait!!! These movies came out year after year for a reason. The first three and ten are all bangers. 4 will make more sense after 5 and 6 is a lot of fun. 7 isn’t as bad people say but I’ll admit its still at the bottom. And jigsaw and spiral are their own different styles but still good. As a whole… the franchise is awesome. Be patient. It’s worth it
15:10 Fun fact: They actually build the two sets together to get that transition
"I have no respect for him as a drug dealer or as a person" made me burst out laughing
The beginning is the ending, jigsaws autopsy. It’s that simple
You guys are confusing yourselves. The autopsy scene is present day, and the rest of the movie is a little flashback where Rigg's game and Jeff's game take place at the same time.
Can’t wait for y’all to get to saw 7
the opening game.. see no evil, speak no evil...the whole film about a man dont hear evil 😂.. SAW 4 is a tribute to SAW and showing a new beginning..
The beginning is the end. The autopsy scene is a flash forward.
Saw 3 and 4 take place simultaneously; the autopsy we see at the beginning is a flash-FORWARD, and actually takes place at the END of the movie.
24:11 this is the lady from Saw 2 who put her hands up into the razor box
Finally they reacted saw 4
Stragh and Hoffman look SO alike, i dont blame you for the confusion
the autopsy takes place after Saw 4. Everything in Saw 4 takes place at the same time as Saw 3 😈💜
The guy in the hood was the doctor from Saw 1 dragging Eric Matthews
Awesome so glad you guys resumed these! Love it
