@ShahYT.Official And he also took a project from Universal's scrapped Dark Universe that originally had Johnny Depp set to lead and still made it a hit.
James Wan also directed 2021's MALIGNANT, an amazing tribute to Italian giallo horror films like Deep Red and Suspiria. Sadly this movie was snubbed by critics because the genre just isn't for everybody

I watched this for the first time when I was 15 years old and I didn’t sleep soundly for days after that! But what I do genuinely love about these movies is that the villain John Kramer aka Jigsaw is A) Is the first “slasher” character who has never technically killed anyone himself, his victims lack the will to live; and B) He has an incredibly powerful message that he is trying to teach these people which is to cherish your life. That most people have sadly lost our Survival Instinct.

I went with a friend to see this spontaneously, we had zero clue what it was about. We were terrified and I had to wait for a bus home alone after late at night. Everyone remembers their Saw experience I think. A legendary film.
Being a 70s baby n growing up with all these great horror films.... When I "Saw" this in the theater...I could do nothing else but give it a standing ovation.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 love this movie!
Really really excited to see yall watch the rest of these. Calling the twist ending in this one was crazy. Cant wait to see what else you can catch. Well done and really fun watching yall!!
Sometimes you guys remind me of watching a movie with my parents. Yes, Danny Glover was obsessed. Yes he was keeping tabs on the Dr from across the way. He was fired for being obsessed also because he had his throat slit and therefore doesn't have police support behind him so he had to pay Adam for additional surveillance. Just giving you guys shit. Lol. Thanks for doing Saw, hope you continue.
As much as I enjoyed Tara and Aaron’s partnering here (and Aaron surprising Tara for a jump-scare is just gold), I would have loved to see Tara and Roxy react to this (watch their The Conjuring reaction. thank me later).😅
I really wish you could make some time to watch the movie extra content abt how they built the machines, the craft and thinking process behind them is still my fav part of the whole franchise. Loved to see a first time watching reaction after so much time, always a joy to experience this with you guys!
This is one of the best horror movies of all time, its a shame the franchise has become diluted. The first time I experienced the dead body reveal was absolutely incredible. Also loved this pairing for reactions
I was hoping you'd start this series next!!! Saw is my favorite franchise, look past the gore and all that and the story and the way it weaves together is sooo good!! The 4th movie is my favorite, can't wait to see the reaction to that one!
Saw was directed by James Wan, in his feature directorial debut, and written by Leigh Whannell (Adam). They only had a budget of $700,000 the movie grossed a worldwide total of $103 million.
This was my favorite movie for awhile because I didn't see that twist at the end coming. Ironically enough just as I was walking into the theater my friends and I were talking and I was talking about how good I'd been lately at guessing twists in movies. And when John stood up at the end my mouth hit the floor haha.
The twist actually works a lot better in the context of the later movies than in this movie itself. I was just left thinking, why should I care that the killer is the body on the floor, I have no idea who that is! And in retrospect, Zep acting so overly creepy the whole movie makes absolutely no sense, with anyone who's seen Person of Interest knowing that Michael Emerson is perfectly capable of acting more like a regular guy.
1. phone only accepts incoming calls. 2. the plot and executions of how charaacters did certain things is pretty straight forward and the film is told in a non-linear fashion, so i'd suggest watching it again and paying closer attention to the finer details. 3. the chances of the drills snapping off by shooting them WITHOUT causing a bullet to bounce off and shoot himself or his partner, or even the victim, was pretty low. Hence it being a last resort. 4. Each trap keeps in mind all possible angles of escape, and for the most part, tries its best to be countered. 5. When under extreme stress, such as a life or death situation, the chances of you being able to think clearly is almost nil, without factoring in exhaustion. 6. Danny Glover was obsessed with pinning the doctor to the jigsaw crimes, hired a photographer to follow the doc and find a reason to pin them to him. Jigsaw knew this, so he forced Zep, an orderly at the doc hospital, to play his game and force the doctor into a situation where the doctor would have to choose his family or his pride by killing the man who was inadvertently setting him up for Danny Glover. Thus, Jigsaw was technicially saving the doctor from being framed by a man who went crazy with obsession.
Another great duo, really love the energy of Tara and Aaron together especially Aarons jumpscares lol! Love to see them continue the series together! So just to clarify some of your questions at the end, even though I'm sure others have already: Tapp had Adam take the pictures of Lawrence because he was convinced Lawrence was the killer and was hoping Adam investigating him would bring evidence forward and prove his theory. The blood was poisoned, Lawrence dipped the filter piece into it so if he had given it to Adam he would have been poisoned (although Adam smoking a cigarette with a clearly bloody filter would be a bit odd though lol). Although I think this film doesn't appeal as much to newer audiences, the film itself is iconic! A very small budget, 18 days of filming total, the fact that it wasn't even going to be released in theatres until they had some screenings and discovered people loved it, the fact they never even thought it would go further than the first film but spawned a whole franchise. Just everything about Saw is epic to me, even including the not so good movies lol
Danny Glover was obsessed with the idea that the Dr was the Jigsaw Killer, and having been a good detective once, would have been as close to their home as he could have been while monitoring the situation, just waiting for the Dr to make a mistake that he could then pounce upon and redeem himself.. Glad you got to "enjoy" this film with us, and all i can say is, buckle up for a ride, if you are going to continue this train.. ;) Hehehehe ( "enjoy", as, though a fun ride, you seemed to be a bit scared and squeamish the whole time LOL though some people DO Enjoy having the crap scared out of them.. LOL )
Danny Glover hired Adam to take pictures because he was stalking Gordon, obsessed. Adam said his job is to take pics of seedy dudes, kinda like a PI. So Gordon was cheating, Glover thought he was Jigsaw and hired Adam to follow him and get proof, and then Gordon and Adam were taken for their naughty ways.
Watch all of them or this channel is dead to me. They are much better as a binge. All 9 so far are worth watching at least once. Think of it like a tv show not a movie franchise.
This... was one of the most frustrating reaction viewings I've ever experienced 😂😂😂 these two being so dumbfounded by everything to do with the Danny Glover character was driving me up the wall 😂😂
The guy was taking pictures because he suspected the doctor was behind the murders. So he set up his camera across the street from the family's house to spy on him.
Most of your questions are explained in the movie. Danny Glover was convinced the entire time that the Doctor was Jigsaw, because they found his pen at the crime scene. So that's why he was taking pictures and following him. And they establish almost immediately that the cell phone only receives calls, obviously Jigsaw wouldn't give them a phone capable of calling out lol.
Hope you watch all of them . The story is really interesting and you'll get to spemd more time with Jigsaw and learn more about him especially in Saw 2 and 4
Fun fact. Both Leigh and James were offered a base salary for the film or 10% of the turnover. The film cost 1.2 million and it turned over $110 million. I start multi millionaires
Love the channel, but I still can't believe some of you guys and gals, haven't seen a lot of the movies y'all watch. Now granted, there's plenty of movies I haven't seen, but I think other than a few you guys have watched and reviewed, I literally grew up watching the majority of the ones y'all haven't seen. But it's all good. Keep up the great work
No we never find out anything more about Danny Glover's character but we do find out a lot more about certain characters throughout the franchise why Danny Glover's character hired Mark to take the pictures was to get evidence on if dr. Gordon was actually the killer cuz he was dead set on him being the killer and they let him get away they had him know you didn't have the man behind it all But trust me kids number two and number three are nice tight little trilogy but after that the plots and the characters sort of run together for me and I can't remember what was in what but there's still a lot of backstory about things going on with John why he did it and if anyone was working with him continue it just gets batshit
You guys are goinf to have to pay better attention for thw future movies or youre going to miss A LOT. The phone could only recieve calls not make calls. He was taking pictures because Tapp thought Lawrence was responsible or helping jigsaw. Both explained in this movie lol
And now you get to watch the next 12 movies to continue the amazing story. My wife and I went to see this when it launched just on a Halloween kick when it first came out, and we were absolutely blown away by it, and have watched everyone since thenbecause of the story. It’s amazing.
In the future films (starting in Saw II) I have to say, many - if not most - of the "victims" are the real villains. To me, Jigsaw is somewhere between vigilante and antihero... when he goes after the people that actually deserve to be there. They deserve to be tested with violence or death through less-violent-but-still-brutal means because of their vile, callous, evil, - and for some, oft psychopathic - tendencies. As for the more "innocent" ones - those with a moral deficit, or those who have a lack of appreciation for life, their own or in general - that is, those who have a piece "missing" (as Jigsaw alludes to in Saw II). however, they shouldn't be tested to the point where their life or the lives of innocent people are on the line.

Fun fact: This was filmed in eighteen days on a $1 million budget. Will you guys be getting through the whole series before the new one comes out at the end of the month?
Just to give some context, it will take place between the first two.
God damn, I’ve been avoiding all information about the new film and then I read this bloody comment.
@TrueLibertine it's not a spoiler. No harm.
@@RoyKoopalingit’s literally not a spoiler 😭 John can only be alive if it takes place between the third one
I went with a friend to see this spontaneously, we had zero clue what it was about. We were terrified and I had to wait for a bus home alone after late at night. Everyone remembers their Saw experience I think. A legendary film.
12:52 That was evil... I love It! 😂
15:36 Not another one! 😂😂
Just came here because they talk about it in the True Lies reaction 😂 thank you for your service
"youd have to be a sociopath to lay there for 6 hours"
honey, you got a big storm comin
I just read this comment while she was saying it 😆

Thats right folks. John Kraemer pulled an Assassins Creed - Blade before Assassins Creed even existed. Real OG.
Lol. Thanks for doing Saw, hope you continue.
you guys knew the movie already, thatsvy he told it. no 1 can guess it. else that ending was biggest suspense and famous scene
I wish they stopped after Saw 3.
In the beginning hated it for the gore... But then grew to love the series and mystery, excited then each a new one was about to come out ...
"He could put the cigarette in the gun" got me laughing out loud in the public library.
This pairing of individuals was unexpected, very much welcome, but unexpected.
I was hoping you'd start this series next!!! Saw is my favorite franchise, look past the gore and all that and the story and the way it weaves together is sooo good!! The 4th movie is my favorite, can't wait to see the reaction to that one!
Nice to see a young Roxy Striar in this.
Please keep going with the franchise, at least up to Saw 5. You will get a lot more backstory as to how Jigsaw become Jigsaw.👍
will the real jigsaw killer please stand up
Saw was directed by James Wan, in his feature directorial debut, and written by Leigh Whannell (Adam).
“Who’s that?? Turn on the lights! Whats going on?? Where am I??!”
Aaron “relatable”
I am CRYING 😂
This is one of my favorite one room horror movies. The franchise is also a big part of my horror movie introduction.
The iconic Saw puppet is called Billy
The twist actually works a lot better in the context of the later movies than in this movie itself. I was just left thinking, why should I care that the killer is the body on the floor, I have no idea who that is! And in retrospect, Zep acting so overly creepy the whole movie makes absolutely no sense, with anyone who's seen Person of Interest knowing that Michael Emerson is perfectly capable of acting more like a regular guy.
Zep might have just been a creepy guy. He seemed like it. The way he interrupted Dr Gordon at the hospital showed a very poor grasp of social cues.
The iconic reverse bear trap
Loved this reaction more of this please I’d definitely watch this entire franchise with these guys
I saw this movie in theatre back in 2004. It was really inventive story telling and that reveal at the end, I don't think many people saw that coming.
Interesting that the two saw video games canonically take place right after this movie
He hired Adam to see if he could catch him in action. He was convinced he was Jigsasw or helping him.
1. phone only accepts incoming calls.
2. the plot and executions of how charaacters did certain things is pretty straight forward and the film is told in a non-linear fashion, so i'd suggest watching it again and paying closer attention to the finer details.
3. the chances of the drills snapping off by shooting them WITHOUT causing a bullet to bounce off and shoot himself or his partner, or even the victim, was pretty low.
You got to do the rest of the saw movies
Tara is soooo adorable)) every time she reminds me Zooey Deschanel! especialy from New Girl.. Especially with her "RING THE BELL" 🤣🤣🤣
I saw the complete saw 😂
Watch all of them or this channel is dead to me. They are much better as a binge. All 9 so far are worth watching at least once. Think of it like a tv show not a movie franchise.
My favorite ending to a horror movie ever.
Saw is a great film. Seems like you all had a great time watching it.
Would love a rewatch of the rest of the series.
The fact that she was shocked when he said “i never saw a Saw movie”
While she has not seen it either
Yo that intro looked like Aaron was scared for his life 😂
This... was one of the most frustrating reaction viewings I've ever experienced 😂😂😂 these two being so dumbfounded by everything to do with the Danny Glover character was driving me up the wall 😂😂
It's always fun to see everyone's reaction to the ending of this movie
Most mind blowing twist never seen coming AND SOMEHOW YOU GUYS GOT IT WOW!! SAW II is really freaking good too.
I always love when Tara screams and clinch up her fists when she's scared or shocked.
What a great movie! I've been grinding on watching all of them everyday for 4 days now
Hope you watch all of them .
Saw is the best
Love the channel, but I still can't believe some of you guys and gals, haven't seen a lot of the movies y'all watch. Now granted, there's plenty of movies I haven't seen, but I think other than a few you guys have watched and reviewed, I literally grew up watching the majority of the ones y'all haven't seen. But it's all good. Keep up the great work
No we never find out anything more about Danny Glover's character but we do find out a lot more about certain characters throughout the franchise why Danny Glover's character hired Mark to take the pictures was to get evidence on if dr. Gordon was actually the killer cuz he was dead set on him being the killer and they let him get away they had him know you didn't have the man behind it all
But trust me kids number two and number three are nice tight little trilogy but after that the plots and the characters sort of run together for me and I can't remember what was in what but there's still a lot of backstory about things going on with John why he did it and if anyone was working with him continue it just gets batshit
You guys are goinf to have to pay better attention for thw future movies or youre going to miss A LOT. The phone could only recieve calls not make calls. He was taking pictures because Tapp thought Lawrence was responsible or helping jigsaw. Both explained in this movie lol
neither Greg or John in the video? Thank God Tara...don't let them come back. Jsjsjsjsjsj
Really looking forward to this duo !! Love the saw movies as well
Seeing some of these in the movies as a kid was definitely interesting but also crazy😭😭😭🤣
And now you get to watch the next 12 movies to continue the amazing story. My wife and I went to see this when it launched just on a Halloween kick when it first came out, and we were absolutely blown away by it, and have watched everyone since thenbecause of the story. It’s amazing.
Please make sure that they watch the unrated versions for the next 6 films
We’re the how to train your dragon 2 reaction
I love your reactions
Buckle up kids this is a wild ride and it is along one too! There are a lot of movies!
seeing Tara is like seeing the sun every morning 🫶🏽
Definitely want to see reactions of more of these from you two yes they definitely change but it's a really interesting story👍🍿
2:19 .. .You literally recognized him. 😄
