hello im guessing the movies need to be over the top in one way or another for you to react to them for entertainment purposes . but have you ever seen Firestarter (1984) i think it was Drew Barrymore first star movie role way better then the remake i just googled/noticed they remade
You guys 😂😂😂😂😂……… I laughed…….and smiled a lot all the movie seeing Tara reacting to this one. I was waiting for her……she said “ wait I know him” 🤔🤔😯😯and Aaron said DO YOU KNOW HIM and I said WAIT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! from where and when??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She asked him- “What do you want from me?” He said- “Divorce” not I want a divorce Meaning he wanted her to divorce her husband. She was having an affair. The marriage was falling apart due to the accidental death of their son. They still had a daughter that was suffering from neglect. Jigsaw was testing Amanda to make sure she would follow his rules of giving their victims a chance to survive. Making sure his legacy would live on. She failed the test.
The way I enterpreted Amanda killing Adam was that it was a mercy killing. He was supposed to rot there, but she felt bad about it. So she wanted to just take care of it quickly. Her games being unwinnable is wrong of her to do. But from the ones we've seen, the ones she has killed were personally connected to her. Eric Matthews put her away, and Carey was his partner. I believe that's why she was trying to kill them. Basically, saying screw rehabilitation! These guys wronged me. It was revenge for her. John was trying to give her one more chance to grow. Again, I'm not condoning any of it! But the logic in the character's heads, makes sense if we're looking through their eyes.
Honestly if Adam was gonna die there originally by rotting there, and she felt bad...why suffocate him to death like that's just as bad...why not use a gun and shoot him in the head and do it fast and quick like how she shot the doctor and killed her, and John Kramer ofc.
@anthonysalinas-candelero9978 fair argument. I wonder if she avoided a gun in order to hide the evidence from John that she sped up the kill? Just a devil's advocate thought though.
@@cupofcaitAnd to be fair, she's the reason he never had a chance to escape. She carelessly placed the key in a way that Adam would probably lose it when he woke up. So it's her fault.
one minor twist that i think gets missed, is that when jigsaw is talking about the man responsible for the loss of his child, he is actually referring to himself. Because he has taken Jeff's daughter. In the final tape, he says " i am the person responsible for the loss of your child."
The twist in this one is super intricate, you've got Jeff and Lynn being married, but also the whole game was ment to test Amanda. ALSO, Jeff losing his wife AND daughter for not "learning" anything. Some wild storytelling.
Fun Fact: There were a fair amount of deleted scenes. One of them was Amanda having nightmares of Adam which basically prompted her to kill him. Another was an extension of the Eric Matthews confrontation where she tells him his son is alive before stabbing him in the throat 3 times.
There were images of that scene but it was never released. Just like the glass box trap in Saw 4. It was filmed and there was an image of it released, but the footage has never been seen.
The pig being a recurring theme for Jigsaw is explained in SAW IV, but it also represents his ideals. How he sees rot in the world, how he himself is rotting from his disease, and possibly also to represent the guilt found in his victims, as he (Usually) chooses people who are guilty of something bad that destroys theirs or others lives.
27:54 If I remember correctly, the significance behind all the stuff with the pigs is that pigs are really intelligent empathetic creatures that we kill. Also there's the Chinese New Year, the year of the pig, that I think represents a symbol of rebirth. Jigsaw/ John uses that symbol because he believes after surviving the car crash, he was reborn. It was something like that anyways, I might be a little off or incorrect in some places but I think that was the overall intention.
I have a lot of respect for most this series. They have a fun story with inventive kills, and there's no gratuitous sex scenes or nudity to get viewers. (And before anyone brings up the woman in the ice trap being nude, it wasn't sexualized. Nudity isn't inherently sexual.)
Tobin and Shawnee took these roles quite seriously. They would go to lunch together to, eh, flesh out their characters' back stories. For Danaca, the woman in the freezer room, the choice for her to be nude was deliberate. They tried the scene with clothes first, but the wet clothes clinging to her body turned out to be more tittilating than having non-sexual nudity.
Fun Fact: There are multiple clues that, though left unanswered, do lead to later films. Some seen, some heard. So if you are thinking "WTF" it will pay off later.
This movie was kinda heartbreaking for me, not only because it’s the end of John, but also because of the doctor and how she died. Interesting facts: •During the brain surgery scene prop master James R. Murray had to hold Bahar Soomekh's arms still for the close-up shots because she was unable to steady herself and keep the tool under control. • One thousand special posters were made and were sold for $20 each in support of this film and the American Red Cross. Tobin Bell donated two vials of his own blood to be dumped into the red ink vat. All 1000 posters were then printed with the red ink vat and later sold. However, the first print was put up for auction. It was also signed by the entire cast and crew. All proceeds from both sales went to the American Red Cross. • Internationally, this was the highest-grossing "Saw" film. Shot over a period of 32 days. The budget for the film ($10 million) was more than the budget for Saw II (2005) ($4 million). • The pig carcasses were made out of foam, rubber, and latex. However, the pig props were filled with real, live, disinfected maggots. Although it appears otherwise, only four prosthetic pigs were used in the "Pig Vat". Tobin Bell said that, out of all of the traps in the series, the "Pig Vat" was his favorite.
lynn is maybe one of the most unfair deaths on the entire franchise, she completed her game.... but her life was in the hands of two peoples, one was crazy, and the other was searching revenge.... so unfair for lynn
4:55 That's not a new character. That's Sergeant Rigg from the last movie. He's the one that blocked Kerry when Eric Matthew's went to beat up Jigsaw (John Kramer) and said "we tried it your way."
25:15 I love the implication that Jigsaw messed the recording up in the booth, like: Jigsaw: "Time to go" Amanda: "Time to LET go" Jigsaw: "Right, time to let go" Amanda: "...you wanna take it from the top, or?"
The Angel Trap (Allison Kerry's trap) is my favourite of the franchise, it's somehow beautiful in its grotesqueness. On the flip side, The Rack (Timothy Young's trap) is one of the only traps in the franchise that I struggle to watch, that ones hard to stomach lol.
Was literally waiting for this one to release before starting on the Saw reactions. To me the first 3 movies are the tightest. The series dips and rises after this, and there are definitely still good entries ahead, but 1-3 tells a fairly complete story with a satisfying through line.
Jeff’s test was forgiveness, so him taking to long was because he couldn’t forgive. He failed every single test. Jigsaw kidnapping his daughter was his contingency plan incase things fell apart. Which they did. Jigsaws hope was that Amanda could overcome her hate and bloodlust for revenge, Jeff could learn to forgive and everyone leaves having learned the lessons they were supposed to. A family gets brought back together, and Amanda is worthy of continuing his legacy. You’ll see his contingency plan for Amanda in 4. I think jigsaw is the only redeeming quality for this series… his ability to think 10 steps ahead outwit everyone is awesome to see every single time. Even into the later films. The acting is meh, the traps are disgusting for disgustings sake especially going forward. In this it kinda sorta made sense because most were made by Amanda and they were supposed to be brutal to represent her madness. But going forward it feels pretty unnecessary.
I believe that Amanda was given the easiest trap so she could prevail. Also…. She was used to hurting herself so I think he showed her mercy. Because every time I watch a new saw trap I notice it’s self inflicted pain.. Amanda’s trap was not. Interesting right ?? 🤔
The first kill with the chains feels very Hellraiser. I watched all of these before I watched the Hellraiser movies so I never made that connection til now
As much as I’m more interested to see how they react to saw 3D and the other two that came after, I still think it’s great to see them react to the first 6 movies. The soap opera storytelling of these movies were so fucking wild.
45:57 I like how you got speachless at the end. One thing that this franchise is knowned it's by the plot twists, and yet if you think the games were brutal here then get ready for the other movies
Loving these reacts to Saw. The chemistry is great and I'm watching the whole franchise for the first time too, pretty much in sync with Tara and Aaron. I know bits and pieces about the rest but real interested to see how they keep it fresh and surprising, and I love that it's still going strong with Saw X. I'm not usually a fan of gore heavy/"torture porn" horrors but in my opinion the emphasis on the lore, clever plot twists, messages of morality and Bell's performance is what gives these movies more credibility and durability than its counterparts like Hostel and Vacancy
Just seen SAW X last night and my goodness, that one is for the books lol! I literally almost threw up during one scene. I can’t wait to see more of you guy’s reaction to the rest. ESPECIALLY to Saw X
My main problem with the Saw franchise is that, to me, it is all downhill from here. To me it becomes a gore-fest only for the sake of gore. I really liked the 2, because it was really a situation of "just follow the rules". In the vast majority of the traps from the second movie, if they all worked toghether, a lot would have been minimized. Just like if the cop waited there, he would get his son back and wouldn't be trapper.. All things that jigsaw knew wouldn't happen.. But still: it was a matter of following the rules.
You're not wrong in that it does get more gory - almost exponentially. However, I think that is only because they HAVE to... it's expected by the fans. They have to keep upping themselves, just like greedy corporations and quarterly profits... 3rd quarter has to be higher than the 2nd, or heads will roll (pun fully intended). But I think you're overlooking, or underselling the continuing, overarching storyline of Saws 4-7 - along with the individual plot lines of each film.
I didn’t even watch the rest because I felt this served as a great trilogy. I am interested in changing that for SAW X tho. It seems to be the highest rated out of them all, even the 1st one.
I believe Amanda is an executioner, she didn't really want the tested subject to survive, and John knew that, and that's why that was so good when John said "Amanda, It's time to start 'our game'", I think I like the plot twist in this movie the most, it gave us three different lines, Jeff Let go of his past, Dr. Lynn tried to prevent both of their death, and John was still testing Amanda(the hidden line), and all three lines came together at the end of this film, I really enjoy this one😁
honestly Allison Kerry Did not deserve to die, she was punished by association to eric and winning her test, she got the key unlocked herself, but Amanda was too far gone, in the last movie jigsaw said "i never murdered anyone the choice was up to them", Kerry passed her exam HOWEVER Due to how the trap was set up it was unwinnable, Every test jigsaw himself set up was designed to be winnable up to this point, the goal was to give his victims a new lease on life, do these people have the will to live and change their ways....Amanda however was screw rehabiliation, you screwed me i'm gonna kill you, which goes against Jigsaw's philosopy
Even the trap at the start was rigged. The door was welded shut, so even if he got free of the chains, he was stuck in the room with the bomb. Amanda doesn't test; she executes.
My tricks in watching saw was appreciating the props more than being gross out and im just thinking is just a props and appreciating the production ❤❤️❤️
the father grieving and being confronted with people who caused him that pain in his mind is taking too long to forgive them and try to save them, (like a minute) is an insane take lmao, but oh well didnt expect much more considering the past 2 reactions in regards to putting yourself in the characters mindset
I HIGHLY recommend you watch the rest of the series. Saw 3 is by far the most violent in the series so if you could handle this one, you could easily get through the traps of the rest.
Every organ has like a thin sac around them. The skull's duramater (hard mother) surrounds the piamater (soft mother) in which the brain is encased. The drill is used to relieve the pressure, and the patient has to be awake.
That was fun! I hate watching the saw movies because it’s just too much for me but I also love watching them. That was perfect bc you had to blur out the nasty parts.
In the original cut, Amanda and Adam were friends, which is probably why she mercy killed him. (I think if yo look up deleted scenes they have some scenes together) Also the transitions in this one is mind boggling and I LOVE IT.
Fun Fact: There were multiple hints that Amanda been murdering the players after Adam. 1 being Troy stuck in the room. 2 was Kerry in the Angel Trap. 3 is possible in the scene where she throws in Adam's key when preparing the Bathroom game.
So I love love love the Saw movies. Your completely dead stunned silence at the end had me giggling so much. I am SO enjoying watching you to go through this series.
I’m fine with gore, but for some reason, I get really uncomfortable with surgery scenes and when people get injected. Which is why the surgery scene on Johns’s brain always makes me look away
I’m the same, I think it has to do with the size. The big, over the top gore I can handle because it’s kind of ridiculous; where smaller, close up stuff seems more realistic and therefore difficult to watch
I love you guys but "How is this water tortorus your already in a cold room." What you live in Florida or something, you don't know how much colder shit gets when you're wet? 😂
There's a horrible story of a cave diver who got stuck for hours under a waterfall before people could get to him. Ended up freezing in a similar way. Very depressing.
I admire you guys for suffering through these movies 😂 I love them so it's fun to experience them again watching people who actually pay attention and can appreciate them with good commentary/fun reactions.
22:10 When water gets below what most of the world calls 0 degrees Celsius, it freezes. In a freezer like the one they find themselves in, the temperature is kept below freezing to ensure things stay cold. If we then were to spray non-frozen water on a human being inside a room where all water freezes... Well, it really shouldn't be confusing you as to why it might hurt. It's frankly worrying you're questioning why being entirely encased in Ice would be painful.
The way you both cringed when Eric broke his foot to get out of the chain. I remember that being exactly my reaction aswell when i first saw this movie back in 2007
James from Dead Meat referred to him as "slow ass mother fuckin Jeff" for his entirety of the Saw Kill Counts. You should react to those too once you finish the series.
Buckle up kids. It's about to get nuts! You just completed what we thought was going to be a trilogy but no the saw movies did so good. They decided to put in a lot of backstory about how certain people got into those places and we have a franchise on our hands now!

Even the trap at the start was rigged. The door was welded shut, so even if he got free of the chains, he was stuck in the room with the bomb. Amanda doesn't test; she executes.
@@AZDfox that too, someone said he could have suvived if he knocked over a table and hid behind it , not sure how that'd work
My tricks in watching saw was appreciating the props more than being gross out and im just thinking is just a props and appreciating the production ❤❤️❤️
I remember I was eating popcorn when the Pig Vat scene started... biggest mistake of my 30 years
the father grieving and being confronted with people who caused him that pain in his mind is taking too long to forgive them and try to save them, (like a minute) is an insane take lmao, but oh well didnt expect much more considering the past 2 reactions in regards to putting yourself in the characters mindset
I love the ending to this movie. Best ending out of the series. I love that Jigsaws games in this movie were all clearly winable while amandas werent.
I HIGHLY recommend you watch the rest of the series. Saw 3 is by far the most violent in the series so if you could handle this one, you could easily get through the traps of the rest.
Idk about Saw 3 being the most violent, there are some pretty gnarly stuff in the sequels.
Aaron referring to water as "liquid ice" is peak comedy
Or peak stupidity
Im def looking forward to these every week 😩
The year of the pig means rebirth that what's what jigsaw is all about rebirth 😅😅
The guy Lynn was cheating with was saying he wanted her to get a divorce.
I need more of Tara and Aaron, i love them together its so fun!
El final es simplemente epico
Fun Fact: Chloroform takes minutes to knock someone out not seconds like in movies 💡👍
Every organ has like a thin sac around them. The skull's duramater (hard mother) surrounds the piamater (soft mother) in which the brain is encased. The drill is used to relieve the pressure, and the patient has to be awake.
The rack is my favourite trap out of all the traps in the 10 films
The Rack is definitely one of my favorite traps ever in the franchise and it's so brutal.
Just finished watching Saw X. It was GREAT!!!!!!!!
5:28 I squealed I love Hoffman so much 😂😂❤
Watching this to get hyped for Saw X tonight
I watched it last night. It is a little different and a lot about the why of what John is doing.
And I did enjoy it.
@@JeshuaSquirrel nice
"Maybe if i just keep looking ill become desensitized" LOOOL sorry why is that so funny to me
Keep watching the series. The stories interweave really well!
That was fun! I hate watching the saw movies because it’s just too much for me but I also love watching them. That was perfect bc you had to blur out the nasty parts.
the pigs symbolizes rebirth, chinese new year, year of pig is rebirth
" *HE WANTS MY MAN! I KNOW IT! ... SHES TRYING TO STEAL HIM FROM ME* ..." LMFAO 😂😂😂😂
Aron makes a perfect usop casting lol 😂
Just watched Saw X, I IMPLORE you both to finish the series. Overall it’s such a fun ride and the latest installment is one of the best ones
I actually forgot how crazy this one was lol and I feel like this one is very underrated
22:25 Yes, that was, indeed, liquid ice, aka, water.
yaaaaaaaay i just got into u guys and im addicted to these saw reactions
I’m fine with gore, but for some reason, I get really uncomfortable with surgery scenes and when people get injected. Which is why the surgery scene on Johns’s brain always makes me look away
I’m the same, I think it has to do with the size. The big, over the top gore I can handle because it’s kind of ridiculous; where smaller, close up stuff seems more realistic and therefore difficult to watch
@@AmbassadorKat X was also not a good time
Really loving this series !!!
Definitely like seeing one of these once a week looking forward to more of this journey with you both its alot of fun👏😁👍
Steve Whalberg 😂😂
22:10 When water gets below what most of the world calls 0 degrees Celsius, it freezes.
In a freezer like the one they find themselves in, the temperature is kept below freezing to ensure things stay cold.
If we then were to spray non-frozen water on a human being inside a room where all water freezes... Well, it really shouldn't be confusing you as to why it might hurt. It's frankly worrying you're questioning why being entirely encased in Ice would be painful.
The way you both cringed when Eric broke his foot to get out of the chain.
I remember that being exactly my reaction aswell when i first saw this movie back in 2007
4:59 important distinction cuz Roxy do be KNOWING a bunch of people
Im waiting for you guys to do Saw IV to Saw X. This series may not be perfect but its an amazing franchise from start to finish
James from Dead Meat referred to him as "slow ass mother fuckin Jeff" for his entirety of the Saw Kill Counts. You should react to those too once you finish the series.
The Pig is a symbol of change. It has further importance later in the series, but this is the main reason for the pig symboligy.
There's a reason he's nicknamed "Slow-a** motherf*****g Jeff" 😂😂
Buckle up kids. It's about to get nuts! You just completed what we thought was going to be a trilogy but no the saw movies did so good. They decided to put in a lot of backstory about how certain people got into those places and we have a franchise on our hands now!
Hope you guys keep it up & having fun with them! I'm waiting for you to get to 5 (my personal fave)
WE. NEED. MORE.
Aaron's full body rejection of the inescapable traps were THE BEST 🤣
