It’s because Tobin Bell IS Saw. Biggest mistake they could’ve ever made was killing him off in 3. We finally got our first movie with him as the main character, and it WORKED!

This movie cemented that the producers realized they fucked up killing John off early in the series. Tobin Bell is 100% the star of these movies. Love how they cheered for John getting his revenge like he doesn’t go on to commit some terrible stuff in the name of justice. That being said… John earned this movie. The wire trap was the first time I squirm aside from the needle pit in two.
fan theory is that Cecilia killing Gabriella is what caused Amanda to snap and start her no win traps as she felt that john really was wrong as well as cemented her idea that some people dont deserve a chance. As she had a bond and connection with Gabriella due to they both were drug addicts and she truly was healed by johns game and knew Gabriella would have been too
Hoffman’s last words are so poetic because he betrayed John 3 times and says it in the last room we ever see him in which is the first room trap and his tomb.
What John says about the brain being able to rewire itself after having half of it removed is true, and I'm living proof. When I was 6 years old, I had an accident that caused a brain haemorrhage, and from what I've been told from my parents, they had to take out some of my brain and freeze it. 17 years later and I show barely any signs of the accident, only the scar on my head and minor body twitches. Also, in regards to the movie, I have a prediction that due to Cecilia killing Gabriela, she will be Amandas first inescapable trap subject.
I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I am happy that you are continuing to live and appreciate your life to watch these movies and watch their reaction to it. So, just to keep in mind, I read an article a few days ago saying how some scientists found no proof of how the brain can rewire itself, and there is no clear way of proving it. Now like I said, keep in mind, the article can be credible or not, nor can the science truly support it. Nevertheless, who knows, but the most important thing is that you are ok and experiencing life.
there's records of people surviving gunshots, steel rebars at or through, or massive trauma to the brain, and still recovering... and many have been used as reference to perfect brain surgery as we know it. it's all really about where the injury happens, and how early in life.... if you're injured on the frontal lobe as a kid, it'll sort itself out as you grow up. an injury on the back of your head as an adult? not so much.

This movie retrospectively makes sense. After saw 1, Jigsaw tried to never hurt kids. Like Daniel Matthew’s, he kept him alive, and he told Hoffman to save Corbett (Jeff’s daughter) if he loses his game. All because this kid saved him, even tho he didn’t deserve to suffer in a trap
Yeah, I always felt that was the real reason Amanda was originally in the Saw 2 game. She wasn't just there to make sure the rules were being followed, but also to ensure Daniel Matthews survival so he could be used to get to Eric. That pretty much explains why she clung to him for the entire length of the game. I'm sure that there was a stash of cure syringes somewhere in the building, possibly even in the OG Saw bathroom, that only Amanda would find, and all she had to do was wait until either the rest of the players all died either from turning on each other or succumbing to the poison or if they survived the traps and got their cures.
Fun fact: this is the highest rated saw movie in the franchise and the only one out of all of them they got a positive certified fresh rating with critics on rotten tomatoes
Out of all the traps, the eye suction is definitely the easiest to beat. I would crank that all the way and have my fingers broken at once than one at a time. Plus they’ll heal in a few weeks and leave no permanent damage unlike the rest of the traps 😂😂
Even if you couldn’t turn the dial all the way all at once, it’s still easier than most of the traps. It’s a choice between breaking five fingers or having your eyes violently sucked out of your skull. The choice is basically a no-brainer.
@@theslasherof78 Even if you had a low pain tolerance, the choice is still pretty easy (for a Saw trap). Your options are either break five fingers and live or have your eyes violently sucked out of your skull and be left to slowly bleed out.
The blood boarding trap was intended for John and Amanda. I guess John knew that Cecilia would be smart enough to escape. And the room where “Hello Zepp” kicks in was Cecilia’s actual trap, along with her partner (can’t remember his name off the top of my head). But the kid was unforeseen.
And due to the kid’s innocence, according to John’s moral code-and to any sane person, which however John is of course not-he does not deserve to be punished. And this is what makes him upset.

I wouldn't call him mad or mentally ill, as he knows his traps are morally wrong but he sees the way that that struggle helped him and Amanda and has decided that doing that to others will help too, as long as he sticks to his rules, he thinks the traps are worth it.

But still being the fraud doctor that she is, she coached everyone on how to die in the traps. Just think about Gabriella's trap, she would've been better off breaking her hand first then falling to the floor but Cecilia told her to break her ankle. John predicted this because he knew what Cecilia would do which is why the machine moved. It couldn't do that if Gabriella broke her hand first because she could just crawl away from the machine when it moved.
Can we talk about the acting for Valentina's trap! That first cut and scream were soooooo powerful, the 2nd cut too. You could feel that, it felt horrendous. And the visual effect was top tier as the gigli went through the skin. Best trap imo. And for her to lose anyway, ugh, brutal.
God, right?? I think some of the best Saw traps have that quality - where the idea is kinda simple, but the more you think about it, that’s why it’s so effective. It’s the classic trap with a little extra. And yeah, thought Paulette Hernandez was great in that scene & across the board. Def feels like the strongest overall ensemble of actors, especially in the main trap sequence. The movie almost feels like a play at that point. So crazy.
@ReelRejects they definitely wanted it to feel like an entirely new experience. The filming, the ensemble, the drama of John's experience. Never expected this from a Saw movie. I've watched it 3 times now, and each time I like it more than the previous watch.
Saw X is definitely one of the most refreshing sequels, but wow, rewatching it through this reaction made me love it even more! Your enthusiasm was contagious, and I didn't feel so bad for caring for the torturous bad guys lmao.

I love how they made John Kramer kind of a hero in this one. It really put me in his corner and changed how I felt throughout the movie. It made me enjoy it even more.
Best Of The Franchise that takes the best elements of The Previous Films and runs with it with it's depth, emotion, traps, direction and cinematography. Bell deserves a Oscar nomination and love seeing Amanda back. Will love to see a Reboot when John didn't die in an alternative timeline like Halloween (2018).
I love/hate that they made me really sympathize with John this time around cause holy crap! And the way they threw the kid in there I was like “are they really gonna do this?!?” Seeing the blood on him was enough!! This was a good Saw movie. It went back to basics with it being isolated, I really liked this one
I am so stoked that John, Tara and Aaron are doing this reaction. This is definitely one of my favorites of the Saw franchise. But y'alls reactions have had me rolling.
the best thing about the Saw franchise is the relationship between Jhon and Amanda, she is the best character in this franchise and seeing more of their relationship made everything better
That last trap was meant for John and Amanda but the kid replaces Amanda fucking up the "plan". John was gonna sacrifice his life for the kid but the kid was a straght GANGSTER n said "nope ima help ya john"... n everything still worked out the way it was supposed to. The women "won" the game but is stuck in that room for life, so she technically didn't "win" anything unless she figures a way out of that warehouse.

Continue taking place between SAW 1 & 2, which means, she's probably gonna be back alright Speaking of which, in that tape for Pederson & Sears, it said that they have not played their last game, and that got me to think that John has got another game in mind for Pederson, since she was the one who survives the Gas Chamber

The Saw franchise isn't the same without Tobin Bell, and for Saw X, they pulled all the strings (the chains and intenstines) perfectly. I never felt so satisfied watching a Saw movie since the 1st and 6th, and this one felt so relieving in a way because we had a good story being told fron John's perspective. The reactions since the first movie had me continue to come back for more, and I was so glad to see all the reactions out of this one. This triple team turnout made it more special, so I have to give credit where its due. Your reactions were also how I felt during the movie when I first watched it. Rumor is that there will be 2 more installments after this, but not fully confirmed. If there will be sequels, then I hope the writing is just as good as this one.
The eyeball trap has become my favorite of all the recent films! It brought me back to the reverse beartrap scene! The Leg saw trap comes 2nd then the brain trap.
16:01 seeing John’s and Carlo’s relationship in this film is so damn sweet, especially towards the end of the film you can tell he really does care about the kiddo.

When Tobin Bell started his acting career, he expected he’d be playing mostly lighthearted male leads, like in romcom’s. Clearly things didn’t work out as expected lol. Everything I’ve heard about him indicates that he’s a genuinely kind and gentle man, tho. He also sings, he has both songs and several impressive Shakespearean soliloquies posted on his RUclips channel.
See, Cecilia lied to Gabriella when she told her to break her ankle first, so that she'd swing out of the way. And you can rest assured that she LIED.... not misspoke. It was obvious that if she broke her wrist first, she'd fall completely away. If the machine did follow on a vertical axis, she could've put distance between herself and the machine. Also, why didn't Parker Sears stop everything BEFORE the game ended... he had time. He wanted her dead too.
I was shocked how much I enjoyed Saw X. Was not expecting it. Also as a headphone user that meow when Tara swore scared the absolute crap outta me. Thanks John. 😂
the only other game where john was directly wacthing the player was the first game ever with cecil acam in saw 4 i love the fact that he see and talk to them in person again, way better than just a tv imo
54:38 The funny thing is that she didn't actually try to help, she tried to get them killed faster. To tie up her loose ends. Notice how she told her to start with her foot so she'll "swing out of the way"? Have a think about that for a minute, because it makes absolutely no sense. If she freed her hand first, she would have dropped to the floor and been safe instantly, as the chain on her leg only connected to the floor. I think she noticed the radiation machine could move left and right, so she told her to do the most likely thing to get her killed.
One of my favorite aspects of this is the fact that some people actually survive their traps. In the later series (chronologically) you see dozens and dozens of trap survivors but in the movies, I feel like the only one we really see Amanda. From 3 onwards, they are all killed by Amanda and Hoffman's traps, or they just flat out lose. So in this movie, we have what... three survivors? I think it's really cool that they maintained that consistency because John's traps are *SUPPOSED* to be survivable.

This is the best Saw movie since Saw 2. I was so fkng engaged in everything, even the drama. Well paced, and John is such an interesting character. Very happy with this movie

The eye machine was very interesting if you think about it, the guy would have lost his fingers (though they could get fixed) or lost his eyes, but not die either way, the boy was always meant to survive even if he failed his test, which makes me think, does jigsaw go easy on people depending on the gravity of their crimes? Bc Natalia and Mateo totally got nuked even though they did what they were supposed to do
For the first time, I actually was rooting for Jigsaw and actually cried watching the scenes with Bell and Smith. I loved it from start to finish! Glad you guys really enjoyed it like I did.
Fun fact, the MPAA, let them keep all the shots of Valentinas trap.also in regards to the least amount of pain experianced by the test subjects,it would have to be Mato, when you think about it, the only pain he 2ould experiance would be from him having to cut through his scalp,skull and the meneges surrounding the brain, it woildnt hurt him at all to slice into the brain itsself, since it doesnt have any nereve endings.

My favorite thing about this movie is the music for the first half the music is more subdued and hopeful but once John figured out he got scammed the music turns into much more classic Saw almost like John is retreating and Jigsaw is emerging.
I love everyone's reaction to Hoffman returning. He's one of my favourite characters throughout the series even though he's a menace, but thats what you gotta love about him.

@38:37 Passing out from shock would be more likely from the blood loss, however, from the actual pain of cutting your leg off this would depend on the pain resistance of the actual person. For instance, a person with long or short nerve neuropathy may tend to have more "resistance" because their nervous systems aren't working 100%. To that end, as someone who suffers from idiopathic short nerve neuropathy I had a dual biopsy on my right leg (one near the ankle, and one mid thigh) they did use a topical agent of lidocaine, but I bled very little from either location. And, even after the topical wore off there was still no pain.
I never seen saw X, but when I see John K helping Carlose with his bike tire, it warmed my heart I don't see this cold-blooded killer the other Saw movies I see a kid hearted prosn
So it seems you didn’t notice so I just wanted to point it out. The trap that John was drawing in his book and threw away wasn’t the brain trap. It was The Rack from Saw three. The trap that twisted limbs. The drawing was of the head piece of that trap. Idk if it’s true or not but when explaining The Rack, John calls it “one of his personal favorites”. I think this is because all of this happened in the middle of him creating the trap but he was going to stop making traps and get on with his life since his treatment “worked” but after being scammed, it solidified his path to rehabilitating people and his acceptance that he was going to die so he finished the trap and of course used it later. Anyways, still an awesome and entertaining reaction! Keep up the amazing work plz c:

It was a return to form that finally delved more into the _why_ of John's mission. That's why I think the audiences and critics responded so well.

Saw XI is the second part of a two part story. Cecilia is supposed to come back from what is rumored.

I wouldn't call him mad or mentally ill, as he knows his traps are morally wrong but he sees the way that that struggle helped him and Amanda and has decided that doing that to others will help too, as long as he sticks to his rules, he thinks the traps are worth it.
I don’t think he sees his traps as morally wrong in his particular circumstance as I believe he has a sort of God complex.

Such a great installment. I love the fact that the fraud doctor was actually present to coach people somewhat through the traps.
But still being the fraud doctor that she is, she coached everyone on how to die in the traps. Just think about Gabriella's trap, she would've been better off breaking her hand first then falling to the floor but Cecilia told her to break her ankle. John predicted this because he knew what Cecilia would do which is why the machine moved. It couldn't do that if Gabriella broke her hand first because she could just crawl away from the machine when it moved.

Can we talk about the acting for Valentina's trap! That first cut and scream were soooooo powerful, the 2nd cut too. You could feel that, it felt horrendous. And the visual effect was top tier as the gigli went through the skin. Best trap imo. And for her to lose anyway, ugh, brutal.
God, right?? I think some of the best Saw traps have that quality - where the idea is kinda simple, but the more you think about it, that’s why it’s so effective. It’s the classic trap with a little extra. And yeah, thought Paulette Hernandez was great in that scene & across the board. Def feels like the strongest overall ensemble of actors, especially in the main trap sequence. The movie almost feels like a play at that point. So crazy.
@ReelRejects they definitely wanted it to feel like an entirely new experience. The filming, the ensemble, the drama of John's experience. Never expected this from a Saw movie. I've watched it 3 times now, and each time I like it more than the previous watch.

I love how they made John Kramer kind of a hero in this one. It really put me in his corner and changed how I felt throughout the movie. It made me enjoy it even more.
Best Of The Franchise that takes the best elements of The Previous Films and runs with it with it's depth, emotion, traps, direction and cinematography. Bell deserves a Oscar nomination and love seeing Amanda back. Will love to see a Reboot when John didn't die in an alternative timeline like Halloween (2018).
I love/hate that they made me really sympathize with John this time around cause holy crap! And the way they threw the kid in there I was like “are they really gonna do this?!?” Seeing the blood on him was enough!! This was a good Saw movie. It went back to basics with it being isolated, I really liked this one

the best thing about the Saw franchise is the relationship between Jhon and Amanda, she is the best character in this franchise and seeing more of their relationship made everything better
That last trap was meant for John and Amanda but the kid replaces Amanda fucking up the "plan". John was gonna sacrifice his life for the kid but the kid was a straght GANGSTER n said "nope ima help ya john"... n everything still worked out the way it was supposed to. The women "won" the game but is stuck in that room for life, so she technically didn't "win" anything unless she figures a way out of that warehouse.

The Saw franchise isn't the same without Tobin Bell, and for Saw X, they pulled all the strings (the chains and intenstines) perfectly. I never felt so satisfied watching a Saw movie since the 1st and 6th, and this one felt so relieving in a way because we had a good story being told fron John's perspective.
The reactions since the first movie had me continue to come back for more, and I was so glad to see all the reactions out of this one. This triple team turnout made it more special, so I have to give credit where its due. Your reactions were also how I felt during the movie when I first watched it.
Rumor is that there will be 2 more installments after this, but not fully confirmed. If there will be sequels, then I hope the writing is just as good as this one.

The eyeball trap has become my favorite of all the recent films! It brought me back to the reverse beartrap scene! The Leg saw trap comes 2nd then the brain trap.
This is definitely my favorite Saw movie now. Saw X, Saw, Saw 2, Saw 6 and Saw 3 are top tier Saw movies.

When Tobin Bell started his acting career, he expected he’d be playing mostly lighthearted male leads, like in romcom’s. Clearly things didn’t work out as expected lol. Everything I’ve heard about him indicates that he’s a genuinely kind and gentle man, tho. He also sings, he has both songs and several impressive Shakespearean soliloquies posted on his RUclips channel.

See, Cecilia lied to Gabriella when she told her to break her ankle first, so that she'd swing out of the way. And you can rest assured that she LIED.... not misspoke. It was obvious that if she broke her wrist first, she'd fall completely away. If the machine did follow on a vertical axis, she could've put distance between herself and the machine. Also, why didn't Parker Sears stop everything BEFORE the game ended... he had time. He wanted her dead too.
It's my all time favorite in the franchise. And it's hard to believe that a 10th movie can be so good 😂

I think she noticed the radiation machine could move left and right, so she told her to do the most likely thing to get her killed.

Watching john get hopeful …only to watch his face when he realizes..is honestly one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve watched 😩
One of my favorite aspects of this is the fact that some people actually survive their traps. In the later series (chronologically) you see dozens and dozens of trap survivors but in the movies, I feel like the only one we really see Amanda. From 3 onwards, they are all killed by Amanda and Hoffman's traps, or they just flat out lose.
So in this movie, we have what... three survivors? I think it's really cool that they maintained that consistency because John's traps are *SUPPOSED* to be survivable.
There are survivors in saw 5, 6 if you count those saved by William, and 7.

This is the best Saw movie since Saw 2. I was so fkng engaged in everything, even the drama. Well paced, and John is such an interesting character. Very happy with this movie

The eye machine was very interesting if you think about it, the guy would have lost his fingers (though they could get fixed) or lost his eyes, but not die either way, the boy was always meant to survive even if he failed his test, which makes me think, does jigsaw go easy on people depending on the gravity of their crimes?

For the first time, I actually was rooting for Jigsaw and actually cried watching the scenes with Bell and Smith. I loved it from start to finish! Glad you guys really enjoyed it like I did.
Fun fact, the MPAA, let them keep all the shots of Valentinas trap.also in regards to the least amount of pain experianced by the test subjects,it would have to be Mato, when you think about it, the only pain he 2ould experiance would be from him having to cut through his scalp,skull and the meneges surrounding the brain, it woildnt hurt him at all to slice into the brain itsself, since it doesnt have any nereve endings.

My favorite thing about this movie is the music for the first half the music is more subdued and hopeful but once John figured out he got scammed the music turns into much more classic Saw almost like John is retreating and Jigsaw is emerging.

@38:37 Passing out from shock would be more likely from the blood loss, however, from the actual pain of cutting your leg off this would depend on the pain resistance of the actual person. For instance, a person with long or short nerve neuropathy may tend to have more "resistance" because their nervous systems aren't working 100%. To that end, as someone who suffers from idiopathic short nerve neuropathy I had a dual biopsy on my right leg (one near the ankle, and one mid thigh) they did use a topical agent of lidocaine, but I bled very little from either location. And, even after the topical wore off there was still no pain.
I never seen saw X, but when I see John K helping Carlose with his bike tire, it warmed my heart I don't see this cold-blooded killer the other Saw movies I see a kid hearted prosn

So it seems you didn’t notice so I just wanted to point it out. The trap that John was drawing in his book and threw away wasn’t the brain trap. It was The Rack from Saw three. The trap that twisted limbs. The drawing was of the head piece of that trap. Idk if it’s true or not but when explaining The Rack, John calls it “one of his personal favorites”. I think this is because all of this happened in the middle of him creating the trap but he was going to stop making traps and get on with his life since his treatment “worked” but after being scammed, it solidified his path to rehabilitating people and his acceptance that he was going to die so he finished the trap and of course used it later. Anyways, still an awesome and entertaining reaction! Keep up the amazing work plz c:
