As a survival option you could cover with tarps then bury RV`s to be both to live in and as supply storage...I would put 2 side by side as a home and have tunnels made from van side/rear doors again covered in tarps to the permanently buried storage ones.
@@ministry_of_codeI was on the set before filming started. It was weird to see Glasow looking so different. Brad Pitt's character had been a former United Nations investigator, so making observations based on what the doctor had said makes sense. His job meant that Karen would be used to being a single parent for months at a time.
One of the best modern zombie movies. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel by explaining how the virus originated. It just immediately puts you in the middle of the outbreak as the world is quickly going to hell.
Fun Fact : Academy Award Winner Robert Richardson was the cinematographer for this movie for a few weeks before he abruptly deprated due to his commitment with Django Unchained with Newton Thomas Sigel brought in to replace him in which he went uncredited for some reason. Then cinematographer Ben Serensin was brought in to do the reshoots. Originally Richardson and Serensin were supposed to shared Cinematography credit but after finding out that the color grading was significantly altered, Richardson asked to remove his name, thus leaving Serensin to recieved the final credit
This movie was seriously one hell of a troubled production from rewrites, creative differences, director, Brad Pitt, and even switching cinematographers
Here is a maybe not so fun fact but a real one. The opening action scene where the garbage truck drives into the people was shot in Glasgows George Square. The year following a garbage truck did the same thing is the same square, killing a number of people. The driver had some kind of medical episode but he wasnt medically fit to drive.
Also it wasn't shown in this video, but they also had a footage of ''Miami Zombie'' aka Miami cannibal attack it was real, but person who did was in drugs.
I loved how the mom wasn’t useless, like most zombie movies make family members out to be. She pulled Brad out of the way and kicked out the infected, picked out the apartments for cover, then also got and handled flares. She wasn’t the protagonist badass, but she was very useful.
Welcome to “Infected”, living people (or semi- alive), aggressive, fast, highly contagious. Besides this there are “Train to Busan”, and sequel, “28 Days Later” and sequel, “The Crazies” original and remake, “The Girl With All the Gifts”, and “Rec”(Spanish) and/or “Quarantine” (English) and sequels.
I saw this movie in the theatres and I loved it 15 mins into it. While re-watching the movie i realised that at the climax when Brad pitt's character is stuck in the vault, with the zombie outside, not knowing which vaccine/disease to take, he could have told the camera through the notepad that he'll show the disease bottle on camera and if it's the right one, they should call on the same landline outside! He could have confirmed which one to take and which not to take. When watching the first time there's so much tension that we don't think about it. Beautiful film.
Nobody is going to think of that on the spot in a life or death situation like that , but it would’ve been simple to tell them to call the phone and distract the zombies
I love this level of aggression from the zombies. totally feral and mindless. and the amount, the hordes this movie shows is so much more than most zombie movies.
I can't recommend the audiobook of World War Z enough. It's read by a full cast with some pretty big names. Mark Hamill, F. Murray Abraham, Martin Scorsese, and a bunch of others.
yeah that jump scare in the apartments when they were making way to roof scared the crap out of me when i was younger i was eating dinner and had my food on a laundry tout that was upside down then jump scare happened that i shot of it with me feet backwards on to the couch on the cushion that was in between my parents and my plate of food flipped over and was upside down on the floor and i didn't leave the couch after that but now that jump scare doesn't get me after that one time and grew up watching it and love it

Yup I love this movie as well and the book.If they were to make a series about the book and have brad pit character , jerry narrating it talking and interviewing people about their stories and trivialations of what they had to go through would be awesome. Awesome reaction ❤❤
Wow, I just noticed the actor who plays the pilot in the commercial airline is the same actor who plays the Russian smuggler in Stranger Things; whose also a pilot 🤯
Good action/zombie movie; Bad book adaptation. The movie depicts the beginning of the war. In the book, The War (That took decades to fight) has been over for 10 years, and a guy from the UN goes around the world, collecting testimonies of people who lived through the war (Civilians, Military Personnel, Governement Officials, Medical Experts, ect...). Some are horrifing, some are down-right just sad. Great read. Highly recommend.
The reason that the virus took 10 minutes originally was because it was still figuring out how best to infect humans, but as it spread more from person to person the virus got better and more efficient at infecting us. I learned this from RoanokeGaming explaining viruses and diseases in movies and tv shows.
Max Brooks is Mel Brooks' son. Yes, the guy who did Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles. A little more you may have is Brooks book before this, The Zombie Survival Guide. There are some amazingly prescient points in that book regardless of zombies or just murder gangs in your neighborhood.
The opening was filmed in Glasgow, George Square, and it was so cool seeing the full set in place for them shooting this. I always love watching people reacting to it.
Totally agree it was really cool aswell seeing the American street names and signs everywhere, the scene with the RV and the Jets at 8:00 was filmed on the Bo’ness Road in Grangemouth, couldn’t get near it though 😂
Yeah I per pure chance, drove into the chaos trying to get to a work site people were standing in the middle of the roundabout and on the roads around it, police trying to move them……didn’t work 😂 was told Brad was allegedly on the other end of the crowd which was possible I guess because I saw the roof of the RV over the top of the crowd 🤔
I hate zombie movies but this is the only exception for that category. Love this film, the acting, story, all of it! The end is soooo satisfying! Great reaction guys! Thank you.

I like this video before even watching because I love this duo and “World War Z” Cmonnnnn PERFECT! But one question, what was that clip with Tom Hanks haha! The best!
I love watching people react to this movie! It is truly one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen just because it’s so realistic. Also, you get very distracted by Brad Pitt’s hotness so that when the scary stuff happens, it’s even scarier! I enjoyed watching it with the two of you. 👍🏻👍🏻
My wife and I walked over to where the were filming the opening to this movie in Glasgow. Just as we arrived they blew a horn and the refuse truck came flying down towards where we were standing and then the parked cars on either side started getting fired up into the air as it passed them. It was amazing to see. We also say the van getting chased by a group of zombies when out on a night out. Was surreal and pretty funny.
woohoo! one of my favorite zombie movies ever! I just love the depiction of them, and the massive threat they pose at every second of the film. I'm surprised Andrew got through this, considering the jumpscares hahaha. Edit: Tara at 14:12 flew back as if the zombie got her hahah
“Hope no one is infected on the ship” 😬sequel to Train To Busan. - I know some people give the soldiers in lunch line a hard time. But, remember, even Colonels were being destroyed need evacuation. Every single soldier on that could do nothing to help their families. ( But Jerry and his family was saved).

This is the 2nd quickest a movie dove into a zombie outbreak. The first was Zombieland where the first seconds within the beginning of the movie was talking about it instantly. Also "14:04 "because I'm the producer of the movie and they come when I say." Ayo? Also, also @14:10 lol! Best scream reaction ever! 🤣
These movies always show a version of humanity getting through 'the great filter' with a series of extremely narrow calls. In reality, we'll probably either sail through it without concern, or hammer into it full force without realising what's happened. These movies always show such a close call. Humanity is extinct in this movie's universe if that plane hits that mountain, of which it missed by several feet. The timing of the grenade throw, reactions of the pilots.... all had to be perfect. The wife phone call incident. Humanity is always on a razor's edge in these movies and honestly it gives me anxiety lmao
Suggest the one thing you guesr missed is Brad’s character had worked for UN, likeky in third world countries that were at some point disease ridden… he was the guy who solved the riddle… his calmness was really deep experience as a UN observer… looking for clues… in those roles you become jack of all trades. His instinct to cut off a hand, in the midst of all the chaos in the city after his car was hit, he still observed people and their behaviors. He knew getting excited was not what sitiuation needed.
That's ok I would just use the cardboard from all the Amazon boxes lying around waiting to be burned. lol (that's not going to be an option for city folk, you all will just be screwed).
I don't care what others say, this movie is one of my all time favorite zombie movies!!! I know Greg and John reacted to Train to Busan, but you guys would love that one too!!! I cry every single time with that one.
Just to clarify in case no body has yet. But suppressors dont really make it that quiet even with subsonic rounds. It would still echo down the halls just not as far. They do get used for ranged engagements because the sounds doesnt carry as far adn if they dd hear it they wouldnt be abe to pinpoint the exact location. In this situation it would have mattered because the infected that heard it would start screeching and being load with would just draw the others anyway
I absolutely LOVE this movie and everyone I know around me loves it too! Such a great film altogether. The only reason it gets hate from some people is because they are upset that the movie is nothing like the book. But the director of WWZ said he had no intention of making this movie to follow the book he just wanted rights to the general idea and the title. Even the book writer said he loved the movie and that it was different from his book. So it’s just another case of people always wanting to be mad at something. In a vacuum if you ignore the book, the movie was fantastic! Thanks for covering this one yall ❤
14:11 I don't think there's ever been anyone not taken by that jump scare. Though how the hell did none of them noticed a screaming infected right in front I'll never know
If Roxy and Tara are gonna react to Freddy Vs Jason, then they need to pause on the Nightmare movies after Wes Craven's New Nightmare and react to all the Friday The 13th movies first. You need to be a diehard fan of both franchises to fully appreciate it, especially since Freddy Vs Jason was long before Batman V Superman and Kong Vs Godzilla
@@sugarbomb1346I do think it would be smart and help to watch a few of the Friday the 13th movies first. But I do agree you don't have to be a die hard fan or necessarily watch all of them to appreciate the badassry of these 2 horror icons coming together in 1 movie. It does help knowing about them both though and some of their lore. I'd like them to watch the movies on RUclips. I always forget the name but I think it's Never Hike Alone. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm not positive if I said it correctly. There's also some hilarious skits on RUclips with ghostface and Michael Myers. Ghostfaces voice sounds like spidermans in it. It's reminiscent of Tony Stark/Ironman and Spiderman😂
If this film is viewed from being completely separate from the book, it’s not bad. IMO, this is a good blockbuster film, not much else. It’s fast paced, blood pumping, thrills, and some great action set pieces, it works as a surface level exploration of the theoretical zombie apocalypse. Yes, the book is MILES ahead of the film. I don’t like comparing them because each are so different and deliver such different views of a world war against the zombies. So if your one who adores the book and thought the movie would be a worthy adaption, I’m genuinely so sorry because it is NOTHING like the book. But, if you’re looking for a completely serviceable apocalypse movie with fast zombies, this is for you.
There was going to be a sequel, but in the end it didn't pan out due to studio and talent conflict. I was really sad when I heard about it. This is such a great, under appreciated movie.
I love haunted houses and go to several every Halloween season, and I remember after this movie came out EVERY zombie actor was making the WWZ zombie noise.
When they say Andrew knows everything, it's something like there was alotnof tension on this set. I'm thinking how this was based on a book from Max Brooks, Mel Brooks son, who also wrote the Zombie Handbook. He once called the greatest middleweight boxing legends Roy Jones Jr, that guy from the Matrix 2.

Fun fact, nobody cares about the comments you read on another video. Sthu
@@VictorLugosi Aren't you a ray of sunshine?
@@VictorLugosiExcept you reply here, so clearly you care 😂
That whole "trains in the station" (i think) turning scene is seriously incredible. Whoever put that scene together is a genius.
unironic chills every time I see it 😂
Truly an iconic scene in film
Did you read the original book? How would you rate this against the PANTHEON of Zombie Movies???
Read it. Loved it! Highly recommended
"if you're not a crack shot don't aim for the head remember just get Zeek on the ground... The Spine is devine but those knees work just fine!"
"Tell me ten more times."
underrated z movie that changed the game! still waiting on that sequal Pitt talked about years ago 🥴
Yooo this movie is awesome lol that part at the end when all the zombies rush past Brad Pitt like they can’t even see him is so fucking cool 😂
I remember that
“She got flares from the grocery store?”
She probably took them from the RV they were in. 😂
I loved how the mom wasn’t useless, like most zombie movies make family members out to be. She pulled Brad out of the way and kicked out the infected, picked out the apartments for cover, then also got and handled flares. She wasn’t the protagonist badass, but she was very useful.
Tara….im not a damsel in distress. 30 seconds later. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Heh, to be fair, courage doesn't require not being afraid.
😅😅😅 I was so terrified by that dang zombie😂
very annoying indeed. "im not weak" and then seconds later, screams like a lunatic.
@@mrblackbond not really what I was saying.
@@dimitriosgliarmis7622 doesn’t matter. My statement is true either way
Welcome to “Infected”, living people (or semi- alive), aggressive, fast, highly contagious. Besides this there are “Train to Busan”, and sequel, “28 Days Later” and sequel, “The Crazies” original and remake, “The Girl With All the Gifts”, and “Rec”(Spanish) and/or “Quarantine” (English) and sequels.
Good enumeration of these movies. You definitely hit the high points.
And "Return of the living dead" the OG fast running zombie movie
I saw this movie in the theatres and I loved it 15 mins into it.
While re-watching the movie i realised that at the climax when Brad pitt's character is stuck in the vault, with the zombie outside, not knowing which vaccine/disease to take, he could have told the camera through the notepad that he'll show the disease bottle on camera and if it's the right one, they should call on the same landline outside! He could have confirmed which one to take and which not to take. When watching the first time there's so much tension that we don't think about it. Beautiful film.
Thissss!!!! I’ve had the same thought since I saw the movie right when it hit streaming years ago. I’m so glad I’m not the only one.
Bruh they could have called at different sections of the building to divert the zombies accordingly
Nobody is going to think of that on the spot in a life or death situation like that , but it would’ve been simple to tell them to call the phone and distract the zombies
Same I also saw it in the theater when I was 10!
I've never seen Tara so.......TARAfied. 😜
Best comment ever!
Truth !!!!! 🫢🫢🫢🫢
A+ no notes
“Please turn off pagers and cellphones”.. lol
I love this level of aggression from the zombies. totally feral and mindless. and the amount, the hordes this movie shows is so much more than most zombie movies.
Been seeing Tara a lot more in these reactions and totally here for it! Love the energy she brings to these videos
This makes my day!!! ❤❤❤❤🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
AGREED!! Tara is amazing!
Lordy... headphone users beware this one...
I had to stop 51 seconds in and move along to a different channel. 😬 My poor ears...
I had to skip forward a couple of times, my ears were literally ringing in my headphones 🎧🫨
@@yomamma359 XD Reactions - great, shrieking... not so much XD
Yea Tara is fucking irritating as always.
😂😂😂😂
Tara's jumpscare was gold. 🤣🤣🤣
Pure. Gold.
I can't recommend the audiobook of World War Z enough. It's read by a full cast with some pretty big names. Mark Hamill, F. Murray Abraham, Martin Scorsese, and a bunch of others.
I'm going to go look for it
yeah that jump scare in the apartments when they were making way to roof scared the crap out of me when i was younger i was eating dinner and had my food on a laundry tout that was upside down then jump scare happened that i shot of it with me feet backwards on to the couch on the cushion that was in between my parents and my plate of food flipped over and was upside down on the floor and i didn't leave the couch after that but now that jump scare doesn't get me after that one time and grew up watching it and love it
I was going to sleep but when I saw your thumbnail saying that you are reacting to my number 1 favorite movie of all time, I immediately prepared acoffee and watched this. Thank you, Reel Rejects. You are always amazing!
I find it hilarious whenever Tara is overwhelmed by hyped scenes then Andrew will try to explain things to her whilst composing himself thus making it a chaotic watch along lmao
BEST PART: 14:10 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yup I love this movie as well and the book.If they were to make a series about the book and have brad pit character , jerry narrating it talking and interviewing people about their stories and trivialations of what they had to go through would be awesome. Awesome reaction ❤❤
There's not many scenes in movies that actually make me jump but the jump scare in the stairwell at the apartment building always gets me lol!!
It’s ok Tara when I watched Hill House and the sister jumped out in the car I jumped back and let out the loudest scream 😂

Wow, I just noticed the actor who plays the pilot in the commercial airline is the same actor who plays the Russian smuggler in Stranger Things; whose also a pilot 🤯
Pilot one day, pilot every day.
This reaction was so much fun!! 😂 loved it!!
So excited to see Tara and Andrew react to this movie! This movie is pretty good and epic! 👍
🙏🏼❤️🎬
The reason that the virus took 10 minutes originally was because it was still figuring out how best to infect humans, but as it spread more from person to person the virus got better and more efficient at infecting us. I learned this from RoanokeGaming explaining viruses and diseases in movies and tv shows.
this movie is so good, 9\10, best zombie movie ever made
The walking dead best zombie series and this best zombie movie
Max Brooks is Mel Brooks' son. Yes, the guy who did Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles. A little more you may have is Brooks book before this, The Zombie Survival Guide. There are some amazingly prescient points in that book regardless of zombies or just murder gangs in your neighborhood.
14:12 I can't tara 😂😂😂 I haven't seen her react like this EVER.. I saw this movie in theaters ill never forget hahaha
that mightve been the loudest Tara has screamed hahah
The opening was filmed in Glasgow, George Square, and it was so cool seeing the full set in place for them shooting this. I always love watching people reacting to it.
Totally agree it was really cool aswell seeing the American street names and signs everywhere, the scene with the RV and the Jets at 8:00 was filmed on the Bo’ness Road in Grangemouth, couldn’t get near it though 😂
@@brianferguson8885 aw I would've loved to have seen that!
Yeah I per pure chance, drove into the chaos trying to get to a work site people were standing in the middle of the roundabout
and on the roads around it, police trying to move them……didn’t work 😂 was told Brad was allegedly on the other end of the crowd which was possible I guess because I saw the roof of the RV over the top of the crowd 🤔
“I can’t handle a confined space in an airplane”-🤔Quarantine 2
I hate zombie movies but this is the only exception for that category. Love this film, the acting, story, all of it! The end is soooo satisfying!
Great reaction guys! Thank you.
love your reactions and the fact that they are long, you show the most important things in a movie not just bypass it in a 20-minute video. Great reaction. I jumped scared as you did, only I saw it in a theatre so it was funny.
Great reaction guys perfect for a Friday!!! Made me remember how good this movie was when I first saw it…will be rewatching tonight after work!
Have a great weekend, much love from Philadelphia!
56:21 I don’t think a magazine would work as a suppressor lol.
Edit: They don’t have to keep providing for his family if the whole world is at risk, have some logic to your emotional thinking. This guy with the glasses is so smooth brained lol, he also makes a lot of weird, unnecessary noises that ruin the experience.
“Contagion” is another great movie that hits close to home after the pandemic. Would be a good follow up to WWZ.
Its so nice to see Tera back. I missed her reactions. So glad shes feeling better.
14:10 I dropped my phone on my face😅😂
I like this video before even watching because I love this duo and “World War Z” Cmonnnnn PERFECT! But one question, what was that clip with Tom Hanks haha! The best!
i can't believe I'm rewatching the movie with you guys 😂
I’m not no weak “oh what do we do” 1 minute later screams in total fear 😂😂😂😂
Tara’s intros make my day 🙏
This movie desperately deserves a sequel!
The doctor slipping moment is such a big "gun discipline" moment.
woohoo! one of my favorite zombie movies ever!
For every headphones users, RIP☠️
13:20 "Shes like me, im strong not the one to be like ouuuu what do we do?!?"
10sec later screaming her head off closing her eyes at a jump scare 🤦♂️😆 every girl thinks they are the "tough girl" till they are in a actual situation
😂😂😂❤❤❤
7:45 lol was that tom hanks in the gif??
You need to watch War of the Worlds next! Another “end of the world” type movie that is amazing and scary
He knew getting excited was not what sitiuation needed.
the absolute worst part about this movie is that there is NO sequel :(
This has been one of my favorite reactions to this, yall took the time to follow the mystery.
Oh no, don't think we can survive a zombie apocalypse in the present day or in the future, not enough magazines around :(
That's ok I would just use the cardboard from all the Amazon boxes lying around waiting to be burned. lol (that's not going to be an option for city folk, you all will just be screwed).
Library will do it. Go to the magazine and shelves & back issues.
I don't care what others say, this movie is one of my all time favorite zombie movies!!! I know Greg and John reacted to Train to Busan, but you guys would love that one too!!! I cry every single time with that one.
Forgot how intense this movie is😳
There was suppose to be a sequel but sadly never happened
Just to clarify in case no body has yet. But suppressors dont really make it that quiet even with subsonic rounds. It would still echo down the halls just not as far. They do get used for ranged engagements because the sounds doesnt carry as far adn if they dd hear it they wouldnt be abe to pinpoint the exact location. In this situation it would have mattered because the infected that heard it would start screeching and being load with would just draw the others anyway
Damn Reel Rejects have been puttin out some banger reactions. Great job Fam!
❤❤❤
Though how the hell did none of them noticed a screaming infected right in front I'll never know
😂😂 truth!!!
“It would be bad looking all these people, but like it’s the only way to get through that traffic” my thought process every morning
To be fair, the first King Kong VS. Godzilla was in 1962 :P
You dont have to watch every. single. Jason and Freddy movie or be a "dIe HaRd fAn'' to appreciate Freddy vs Jason. What the actual fk? 🤣🤣
Agreed, must watch the Friday 13 movies up to the year of Freddy vs Jason released
That’s what we are gonna do !!! ❤❤❤
Could not click on this reaction fast enough! I LOVE this movie!!!!
if this movie had a different name it'd be rated way higher
Fun fact: This is Brad Pitt's highest grossing film of all time
The doctor being quietly excited on the plane, pure adrenaline I’d put that down to
Thanks for the tip at 8:20 Tara
To properly adapt the book, you'd need a miniseries, almost an anthology, to get it right
