Thank you the fantastic ideas in your tutorial, I must look out for more flower punches but I will be using all your ideas😊xx
There are a lot of good punches available on amazon. Bira bira comes to mind and of course EK. Those 2 I showed are retired Stampin up and sometimes you can find them on ebay or etsy.
Brand new card maker here.My first time watching you. You've had ideas that I never thought about. I think I'm so overwhelmed with the new stuff and all the ideas that I've forgotten the basics. Thank you. I enjoyed your video and plan on watching and learning more.
Hi Michelle and Welcome to My Channel! It's easy to get overwhelmed - there is a lot of stuff out there. But please be encouraged to use what you have! And, slow down; enjoy the process and learn as you go. The foundation will serve you for years to come. There is lots of content on my channel to go through if you are interest. So, Come Back Soon!!
Hello Julia. It is always good to get more ideas for using up scraps. I do not have too many white ones and not sure why? But I have an abundance of other colour/pattern scraps and it seems quite often my cards seem to be made mostly from using up scraps! Now I am looking for the baseball card clear 9 pockets. Great idea for storing sentiments.😊
Hi Kaye - I think you are right it does seem like the more you make scrap cards, the more you make scrap cards. And I have even started making up cards at the end of a project so I don't have to store scraps! Crazy. I think you will find that notebook idea very useful. I got the least expensive ones from amazon, nothing special.
@@SeniorSusieStamps I found some on Amazon basics that are sold here so that was very handy. It will be much better in a folder I think as I had been putting them into zippered pouches but harder to find what I needed or had available. I always get great ideas from you! 😊
@@kayebrown2440 One trick I use when stamping on strips is to stamp in the middle and even if they are too long to fit all the way into the pocket, I put them in the middle or lower row and just leave them a bit long sticking out the top. They won't fall out if they are just partially in the pocket. Make sense?
@@SeniorSusieStamps Yes! It absolutely does 😊
Julia, you are truly inspiring. I love cards to use my scraps. I got lots of really helpful tips. Thanks ever so much. 😊🇨🇦
Howdy CA Friend! Did you like my bunny stamp from Canada?! So Glad you found a few tips!!
@@SeniorSusieStamps good morning Julia. Yes your Canadian bunny stamp was cute. We make great things in Canada. 😉🇨🇦
Boy you sure nailed the white scrap idea. I love the baseball card storage idea. 🇨🇦 You are so cleaver, thanks for sharing!
Thank you. Glad you liked it!! It sure makes sentiments easy!
Hi Julia, it is always exciting seeing one of your videos waiting for me, and this was a wonderful tutorial on using up white scraps. I rarely have any white scraps from my cardstock as I can get two card bases on one sheet with no leftovers! You know I never think of stamping out sentiments and small embellishments in advance, and then storing them for future card projects. I can imagine that this would save an awful lot of time. I have seen other crafters do the same and wonder why I do not... maybe I should start! I loved how you stored your sentiments, and they would be so easy to find as well.
I am trying to use up all my coloured cardstock, and only keep white, black and some metallic cardstock in gold and silver. I am not a fan of coloured cardstock anymore.
God's blessings, love and hugs, Gloria 🤗☕🍰🌼🌸🌿💖
Hi Gloria - I find myself reaching for that notebook fairly often. Especially when I just need a generic sentiment for the front of a card. And the baseball card holders work so very well!! I must admit I don't use my colored card stock very much. I probably should do more layers and get some of it used up! PT today for me and we are having rainy weather so my shoulder is in a bit of a snit. But tomorrow is another day!!! Take care my friend, Hugs to you from me! Julia
WOW!!! Such GREAT ideas to use what I would have considered unusable scraps!!! I think my favorite was the leaves you punched using the background stamps!!!
Hi Kathleen - Those little scraps can really produce some great embellishments! And I love leaves that have a little bit of extra interest.
I was busy picking out some stamps and sentiments to deal with and add to a new notebook filled with empty card pockets. Forgot to have lunch and decided to take a break and stretch. I, of course, looked for one of your videos to learn while relaxing and found you doing the same thing I was. I did pick up some great ideas and will be happy to return to work and finish my re-stashing project. Thanks for the inspiration.
I am so glad you found something worthwhile in one of my videos! How fun is that?!
You are so good at giving clear steps or ideas while doing it. Many videos are not as clear. I just love your practical approach to making lovely cards. I'm now subscribed!
Hi Kathy and Welcome to My Channel!! I'm so glad you find the content helpful. I try to put out a video on Sunday afternoons (here) and there is lots of content already on the channel to check out. So, Come Back Soon!!
Great ideas for using my punches and storage for sentiments. Love the baseball card notebook with sentiment storage idea.
Hi Helen - I reach for that notebook all the time!! If the sentiment is longer than the baseball card, just put it on the bottom row and let it poke up out the top...
I have a bunch of Easter cards to make for a charity…wow…how to use up my white scraps thankyou so much😀🇦🇺🦘🐨❤️
Yay for you Pauline!! I love that you make cards to send love out into the world!!
Thank you for sharing your ideas. I am going to try your layering tip to get dimension without foam tape.
Hi Elva and Welcome to My Channel! You can also use other scrap things like ceral boxes for lift as well!
Thanks for the inspiration. You are right I have heaps of white left over. Thanks for sharing xx
Hi Carmelina - Give yourself some grace and start using up some of those left overs. Don't get overwhelmed with the amount you have, just start using it!
Such great ideas!!!
Thanks Linda!
Thank you Julia...great white scrap paper tips 😁
Hii Betty - It's been a while since I heard from you - Hope all is well!!

Some oldie but goodie stamps on this one huh?!
@@SeniorSusieStamps, yes, and don’t you know I have some of them! The HOTP ones.
Love the sentiment storage.
Hi Laura - I find it works very well for me!
@@SeniorSusieStamps I think it could work for me too since I have stamps and stickers in binders too.
Hi. Happy to see your innovative videos.
Hi Noel - Welcome to My Channel!! There is lots of content to choose from if you want to check out some of the older videos. Come back soon!!
Great ideas. Thanks!
Glad you like them!
These are gorgeous Julia I know this was a white scraps video but could you still use coloured scraps for the big Easter egg card? Sorry for the questions I couldn't tell from the video...did you leave a small gap between each strip of paper? and we're they glued on or were they popped up on foam squares? So sorry Julia for the questions 😃 I would love to recreate something similar later in my craft room. Thanks for a great video I ❤️Easter cards 🐰
Of course you could use colored paper. I nudged them right up next to eachother. However a white gap between colors would look great too! I put the silver Love from Lizzie peeloff on the seam between a few to help break them up a bit. The easter egg is up on foam but the strips were glued directly to the smaller egg shape.
Thanks Julia I'm so inspired by your creations today that I'm enthusiastic about getting in my craft room later ☺️. I have some peel offs as well I love them. Hope you enjoy the day ☺️
Thank you once again! Loved the tips, hacks and inspirations. And your mani! Worked in my everything rooms today arranging my paper items. Not sure ill keep my choices! Lol asking if any difference or when to use glue gun or PVA glue? I gotta get me some bunny stamps and dies. Too cute. Chat later
You're very welcome B! There are some definite times to use glue - on textured surfaces and tiny things. I used the Art Glitter Glue today because it grabs/sets a little quicker than the PVA. For embellishments and making flowers that's my glue of choice. But it is more expensive!
My 16 oz bottle of that pva came Saturday. Will use this week
@@quiltmaker8461 Let me know what you think. Hope you got a fine tip bottle too.
Thanks, Julia.
DJ - You are very welcome!
Many thanks and lots to make on thinks may usually end up in the bin insteat of making them so good and usually them too. Many thanks dear friend. XXXXXXXXX
I'm so glad you enjoyed this video Gwen! I love making scrap cards - no pressure there!!
I love your tips for the white strips. Can you tell me the brand of your little flower punch. 🇨🇦
Hi D - Those are both some older Stampin Up punches. But I have lots of other brands as well. Punches are quick and easy and a great way to whittle down those scraps!
@@SeniorSusieStamps thank you, I’ll see if I can find one or two from a resale site.
They make cute little 🌸
@@dmullin9482 I agree and I probably got one of them used also!
How clever ty 😀🇦🇺🦘
Hi Pauline - Glad you liked these!
great tips
Thank you!
QUESTION: is the leaf punch still available? If so. What # and $. Thanks
Hi Nancy - Sadly that one is retired. Perhaps check on ebay? Sometimes demonstrators get rid of their old inventory there.
I am going to try to donate cards, as you do, to our seniors. I make envelopes so the closure is a problem. Any advice?
Hi Brenda - I know they will be appreciated. What about a glue dot with the backer left on? Would that work? Or, perhaps a small piece of double sided tape with the backer left on. You could always enclose an Avery circle lable that has "Happy Mail" printed on it.
