    Love the low tack tape hack for gluing and placement all at once. I accidentally discovered how efficient and effective this hack is about a month ago when I was having to deal with fiddly multiple pieces for a card. I was so frustrated and just started taping pieces together. It worked great for keeping the pieces straight and aligned. It also worked well to keep those pieces I needed to be spaced evenly apart. Adding adhesive and to the card mat was a breeze! I had never seen this hack before so I am elated you are sharing it.

    New subscriber. I'm always looking for ways to use what I already own. Not what was recently released. I won't watch a creator selling me supplies because 1) this stuff is no longer cheap, 2) I probably already have something like it in my stash, and 3) would like to watch someone show me other ways to get it made. For this reason, I unsubscribed to everyone who gets paid commission to sell me product - and my craft budget was cut in half!

    Dear Village - Thank you so kindly for all of your creative 'paper scraps' ideas!! (I was thrilled to find a more recent tutorial than all of the others from 2+ years ago!!) I was wondering what stamp platform you were using, as I must have missed the name of it!) I have the larger MISTI, but it is difficult for me to handle on a small desk area - the smaller one is sixty-plus dollars and too expensive for my limited, senior budget!! I am awaiting a smaller sized platform from Bira Craft (Amazon) but I would very much appreciate your advise on the stamping platforms! Thank you so very kindly, and I hope you have a fabulous Spring!!

    • @villagecardandcrafts
      @villagecardandcrafts  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! I’m sad to say this platform is not an option for you as it’s been taken off the market. It was a Stamperatus from StampinUp. Misti sued them and they, like the Tim Holtz platform, were taken off the market. I’m afraid I don’t have any other recommendations because it’s the only platform I have. I’m glad you enjoyed my video! Thank you for watching and commenting 😊💕

      @@villagecardandcrafts I was afraid it was no longer available because I haven't seen it available anywhere else!! Thanks so kindly for your reply and for getting back to me so quickly!! I LOVE your example of using low-tack tape to line up die cuts before gluing them up and the back and then reversing the process to adhere them!! I also use the same process when I'm cutting out 'wreaths' - it makes it so much easier to make a load of black and white, purple and pink, blue and green circular dies, cut them in half, and make cards of the 'opposites'!! I make them 4" x 4", (scoring a piece of 6-7/8" cardstock to make the envelopes!!) They are versatile to have on hand for any occasion - just adhering one of the many sentiments I keep on hand! It makes cardmaking quick and easy - and the satisfaction of making so many cards so easily is simply a ton of fun!! (So happy I recently signed up for your newsletter!!) Many thanks!!

    I use my white scraps pretty much the way you do. I love to stack die cuts and sentiments with my white scraps for a chipboard like feel/look. Much like you did with your hearts. I also use it with Gummiapan dies because you can snip them apart to build up dimension to make it more 2D looking. All fun ways to use white scraps! I also love how you stamped, colored and cataloged-such a great idea and one I need to implement. Once I do some purging that is! LOL

    • @kkrolf2782
      @kkrolf2782 Год назад +1

      Maybe make a small stash of diecuts and stampings BEFORE you purge?? THAT way you’ll at least have a few in reserve to use if (in my case, w h e n !!) you end up mourning the loss of that one specific one that would be just perfect at the moment!! I tried sharing a die set plus a piece from a “nest” with a friend in a different state, only to have NEITHER of us ending up with the pieces as the “DeJoy post office” LOST them!! But for some strange reason I took the time and made the effort to make 3 or 4 diecut sets BEFORE i sent them off! I NEVER would have done that before, but at this time I’ll never NOT do it!!

      @@villagecardandcrafts Sadly, our waistlines are showing the too-often use of those way-too-handy drive-thrus, microwave meals, and dump-stir-&-heat meals!! We’ll be starting on diets soon - I t h i n k!! Sadly, the best one I’ve found is also the most laborious, as it entails nearly O N L Y fresh foods, cooked or otherwise; NOTHING, per se, that falls into the PREpared category … But, it works!! A few years ago, I did it with a friend, and lost 17 #s in 27 days! (Then we went on a short road trip, and that got me out of the “habit”!!). You really can’t get hungry on it, but sugar cravings and caffeine cravings in the first week are a bite!! SO, you asked me if I really N E E D E D a kitchen? Umm, probably for a while longer … U N L E S S 🤔 … Does “Meals on Wheels” make “all natural” meals?? 🤭

    What did you use to colour your stamps?

      Hello! The girl was colored with COPIC markers. The bird was colored with distress oxide and its wing has distress embossing glaze on top. I used my distress oxides to color a piece of card with my saltwater taffy and tea dye colors then I stamped out the birdhouse. Thank you for watching!

    What is the name of the tool used to create 11:03 multiple stamps on paper?

      Hi! I am using a stamping platform that was sold through Stampin' Up, however it has been discontinued due to a lawsuit. The sampling platform that I would suggest is the MISTI. It is a My Sweet Petunia product and is widely available here in the US. If you would like to check it out, here's a link. :shrsl.com/4e3jd. This one is in the color Rose Quartz which is exclusive to Scrapbook.com. They are an excellent company. I get most of my supplies through them. They also offer free items most of the time - just click on the Coupon section. Right now they have an LDRS Sentiment Stamp Set for free. The newest color is Teal. It is available on Amazon for the same price without any freebies. amzn.to/3SwtCFJ If I can be of any further help, please let me know ! - Wendy

      @@villagecardandcrafts Replacement. Had Diamond Press but was unhappy with it.

      When I bought my Plat 6, I wanted a machine that was going to be a workhorse. It's a sturdy little machine and the inside is a solid steel core. The Big Shot (which I don't have ) has some steel parts - gears and rollers along with an alloy roller housing. Not sure if that matters to you or not. On the Sizzix website I found the Big Shot weighs 9.5 lbs and was $230. The Plat 6 is nearly 13 lbs. and Scrapbook.com has it for $130 + depending on if you want a bundle with additional tools or not. Magic mats are fab! The Plat 6 also comes with the universal plate system now which is super because I paid $60 for it when it came out! If you want to take a look at it:shrsl.com/4da9u. I did locate it on the Spellbinders website with free shipping and a similar cost (and the new color). I hope this helps in your decision. Any other questions, please ask!

    Perhaps things have changed, but as long as I can remember, most stamp companies consider photocopying their images a violation of copyright. The Angel Policy should state what you can and cannot do…

      Some companies do have that stipulation. The company I referred was was Riley and company. The owner is the one who suggested it on her RUclips channel.
