Wait until you read the lyrics. This lyric video gets into Carl Jung’s “shadow” and the meaning of 46&2. ruclips.net/video/sIO8XvlO2Kg/видео.html
Other songs I think you’ll like are Parabol/Parabola (two songs that blend together, you’ll want to find a recording of them back to back,) and an oldie I love is Opiate. They recently released Opiate2 (squared) where they reimagined the song. I have yet to see anyone listen to both at the same time, that would be a cool reaction vid. I’m here for the Tool journey!

I LOVE the talk about feeling like you're floating. That's how I experience polyrhythms, and don't get tripped up on them like someone trying to count them out, just relax and float and let the waves hit you and flow with them to and fro, or it's like riding a horse or skiing idk like when you stop trying to find the pattern you can follow along with it easier. w tool I feel like a boat in the middle of a pool, with all their instruments on different sides of the pool creating waves at different patterns, and instead of fighting it or trying to pick one out at a time I just sit still in the center and let them move me around and it all just works out naturally

I’ve literally been listening to TOOL since I was in middle school…. I was as musically inclined as I am today but I knew they were greatness when I first heard them… I fell off because of mainstream music hip hop and rock back in 2006 then resurfaced again after that … that’s when my Third 👁️ woke up. I showed most of my friends them and they instantly were like “ dude…. This is the best band ever , how!?” They are legendary status

TooL is SONIC PSYCHEDELICA, 46 & 2 is an HEROIC dose. Tool create the kind of music that warps minds and heals hearts. I was 18/19 years old when Opiate & Undertow were released. I would suggest he checks out the studio version first, because even though the performance is great, the sound quality of the whole band that gets picked up in this video is obviously worse than the album version. So to appreciate the playing he should watch the live version after he heared the studio version imo.

Glad to see you've loved the first three tool songs you've heard. You will probably love most of their discography. IMO, they have very few non-amazing songs.
One suggestion, when you eventually listen to any of the following songs, they're either really one split up song or thematically connected, so you'll probably get the most out of hearing them grouped together.
    Parabol + Parabola
Lipan Conjuring + Lost Keys + Rosetta Stoned
    Intension + Right In Two
Wings For Marie + 10,000 Days
    Disposition + Reflection + Triad

I wish I could go back in time and hear tool for the first time again. So hard to find music on their level of musicianship and depth these days. Cool video man.
Ps, after seeing your reaction to Carey's solo I couldn't help but lose it with you.

There's a video of a bunch of very young kids from the O'Keefe Music Foundation doing a spot on cover of Tool's "Forty Six & 2" you should watch. They nailed it!

Just found your channel from a Slayer reaction video. One of the better channels for this content I’ve found, you seem to know genres and music In general. Keep it up bro.

This one is definitely a banger for sure. Honestly I think you can't go wrong with any track... my personal favorite currently is The Grudge.

What’s nice is that you are moving through the Tool Catalogue in reverse Chronology. If you want to keep going back in time, I would recommend you next try either Flood, Intolerance, or Undertow which are on the album titled Undertow. The original EP would be next and Sweat or Opiate would be my picks for that recording. Their newest album is called Fear Inoculum.

His face when the double bass drums drops!
He comments on the greatness of Danny Carrey BEFORE he even experienced the drum drop... Whooo
Then he rewinds it to totally ABSORB the genius and brilliance that is Carrey. Oh man.... You have just experienced God himself, bruh. Left completely SPENT.
TOOL is your inner spirituality spiraled into a nice gnarly knot. Youre just left trying to twist your way through it all. They truly are that great.

I have a list of Tool songs that are wholly spiritual to me while also being perfectly chaotic and intense, ha. This song is on the list, and I urge you to check out these Tool songs that are also very enlightening to me: Parabol/Parabola (both songs go together as one big experience), Descending, The Grudge, and of course the trilogy ( some call it the holy Trinity, ha) of the songs Disposition, Reflection, and Triad --- played together in one go they are on another plane! My fave Tool song is Descending, it's a long song but you become so lost in it it's like time ceases to exist, at least that's how it affects me! Oh and then there's Right in Two and Vicarious, both are magnificent!!

Yeah, the temporal trance is quite something with these guys. A 12 minute song can feel like five minutes.
