You don't just listen to Tool
You Experience Tool. Your new favorite Tool song is always the next one you hear.
As a huge fan of TOOL, I love seeing people fall in love with this band…. 🤘🏼🌀
I love your Tool reactions. Yes, we are blessed with Tool in our lives. I'm on almost 3 decades of listening to them and it NEVER gets old!
glad to hear that my friend really appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
yes tool has so many amazing song's
“I feel like I had a spiritual awakening”
Wait until you read the lyrics. This lyric video gets into Carl Jung’s “shadow” and the meaning of 46&2. ruclips.net/video/sIO8XvlO2Kg/видео.html
Other songs I think you’ll like are Parabol/Parabola (two songs that blend together, you’ll want to find a recording of them back to back,) and an oldie I love is Opiate. They recently released Opiate2 (squared) where they reimagined the song. I have yet to see anyone listen to both at the same time, that would be a cool reaction vid. I’m here for the Tool journey!
They are a TOOL for enlightenment. For humanity. They are your favorite band. The TOOL army does one thing: We show up. Welcome to the fray. Keep your weapon out and belly in. Pray for rain and tidal waves and always Spiral out, keep going.
What your opinion on A Perfect Circle?
@@JustSomeGoy Absolute greatness. Anything Maynard is associated with is going to be good. The Outsider is my favorite track of theirs.
Well said!! I love 'weapon out and belly in' from Invinsible!! (all of the other ones too though!)
@@DCBabos Maynard's lyrics have guided my life's path. I've either used them or experienced them. Schism is my ringtone and has been forever.
People say spiral out. I say learn to swim
This has been my favorite song for the last 27 years. There are times I still get goosebumps. Welcome to the army. Spiral out, keep going... 🌀🌀🌀
I have to take breaks from this song to give other music a chance. But oh, when I come back....
I agree one of my favorite TOOL songs! TOOL is my all time favorite band...
Their entire DISCOGRAPHY is AMAZING. Start at their first EP and go track by track until the end.
Segues, Backward Messages, Hidden Tracks, Album Art, Meaningful Lyrics, Incredible Engineering. You'll want to experience their full concept albums. Hear the growth of the band. 🤞✌️
Full album reactions are sick too. Bradtasteinmusic has a good model for this and has done a couple tool albums. They really are great from front to back
I couldn't agree more Richard. I love seeing new fans to tool as I have been bowled over for decades now! Welcome to the next level! Start at opiate and grow with them!!
This was an awesome reaction! A shining example of why Tool's fan base is known as The Tool Army. You only have to hear one great song of theirs, and be taken on a single sonic journey, and you'll be hooked. Once you go, you know! 🌀
thanks my friend appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
How many of us Tool Army believes he's going to spiral out through all of the discography?
This poor soul doesn't know what he's let himself in for 😂
I'm here for it
I love watching other people experience Tool.
I have been a TOOL junkie from the beginning. They never ever get old. One of the best bands to ever exist. True masters.
I LOVE the talk about feeling like you're floating. That's how I experience polyrhythms, and don't get tripped up on them like someone trying to count them out, just relax and float and let the waves hit you and flow with them to and fro, or it's like riding a horse or skiing idk like when you stop trying to find the pattern you can follow along with it easier. w tool I feel like a boat in the middle of a pool, with all their instruments on different sides of the pool creating waves at different patterns, and instead of fighting it or trying to pick one out at a time I just sit still in the center and let them move me around and it all just works out naturally
"Anyway, this is not a freaking neuroscience lesson guys... This is TOOL!"
SUCH a great quote.
Heard it thousands of times & never gets old!
Brother, I love these Tool reactions. Their catalog is incredible. Not a bad song. Enjoy the journey. Spiral out.
thanks man and thanks for watching!
I’ve literally been listening to TOOL since I was in middle school…. I was as musically inclined as I am today but I knew they were greatness when I first heard them… I fell off because of mainstream music hip hop and rock back in 2006 then resurfaced again after that … that’s when my Third 👁️ woke up. I showed most of my friends them and they instantly were like “ dude…. This is the best band ever , how!?” They are legendary status
TooL is SONIC PSYCHEDELICA, 46 & 2 is an HEROIC dose. Tool create the kind of music that warps minds and heals hearts. I was 18/19 years old when Opiate & Undertow were released. I have been obsessed for +30 years, and still seek regular communion with their music - yes, communion, TooL is a religious experience ❤
Dude, i can't agree more. I thought i was the only one in the world defining the experience of listening to Tool as a religious one. I guess i'm not alone. I'm thrilled to read your comment.
@@pabloalfonsoechaurren6406I always thought so too!
TOOL is amazing. So many masterpieces to discover from them. You should react to “pneuma” performed by Danny Carrey live with the rest of the band. One of the best performances will see. You should listen to the actual song as well. One hell of a masterpiece. Awesome reaction! Spiral out!
I would suggest he checks out the studio version first, because even though the performance is great, the sound quality of the whole band that gets picked up in this video is obviously worse than the album version. So to appreciate the playing he should watch the live version after he heared the studio version imo.
I don't know why people recommend this if a reactor has never heard the original.
It may be a better idea to listen to the studio first but you don’t need to in order to appreciate the wizardry of Danny Carey
@@NochSonKerl Agreed. I always recommend the studio versions first, but this is one where an exception is perhaps forgivable. The live version of Sober from the '93 Reading Festival is another worthy exception.
will be checking out Pneuma very soon looking forward to it!
thanks for the comment my friend really appreciate it and thanks for watching!
Been listening to tool since I was like 13. I'm 40 now
Has always been and will always be my favorite music in existence.
Heard them around around 13 when they first came out and actually owned undertow but didn’t think much of it since I was into totally cheesy 90’s r&b and rap. Then when aenima came out it totally changed me. I’m 43 now and I’ve seen Tool and the other 2 bands several times each. They will never not be favorite.
“Music is the hidden arithmetical exercise of a mind unconscious that it is calculating.”
― Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz
The more you listen the better it gets ..like a fine wine brutta been a day one fan ..and love them more now than ever..Toolarmy 🔨🔥
Take it all in . Brilliant , intelligent, melodic ecstasy….a talent on another level in the universe.
It is so awesome that we have resorted to watching people's reactions to the song that we have already heard a million times.
Keep the Tool tracks coming. I'll be here to watch. There is nothing better than watching someone hear Tool for the 1st time.
Glad to see you've loved the first three tool songs you've heard. You will probably love most of their discography. IMO, they have very few non-amazing songs.
One suggestion, when you eventually listen to any of the following songs, they're either really one split up song or thematically connected, so you'll probably get the most out of hearing them grouped together.
Parabol + Parabola
Lipan Conjuring + Lost Keys + Rosetta Stoned
Intension + Right In Two
Wings For Marie + 10,000 Days
Disposition + Reflection + Triad
There are probably some others I'm not thinking of.
That deep breath after the song ends says it all. Relaxing my ass 🤣🤣🤘🤘
The reactions you're having, i have in my head everytime I listen to TOOL songs
Tool Army is here now….
Their music makes you think and it takes you through endless waves and feelings. Love seeing your enjoyment for them, you have only just begun your discovery sir 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
Though I can't actually pick a favorite Tool song, this one is as close as it gets. I've heard it hundreds of times and I still get a chill when I hear that bassline
I'd do some nasty things to be able to hear this song again for the first time. That goes for most of their discography actuall.
I’d blow Mike Tyson in front of my parents.
7:55 46&2 is third album from TOOL. You have lots of treasures left to find in your journey!! Looking forward to your future TOOL reactions.
Also, Danny Carey (drummer) leads the way with his very unique 3-1 cadence
Saw them live May 4th 2022. Best night of my life. Opened with FI and went on to play The Grudge, Right In Two, HWAP and Sober. Midway through, the stage goes black and reappears with the band in a semi circle facing the audience to the start of Culling Voices. Best night of my life.
Some tracks MUST be played back to back. Let the TOOL ARMY guide you if you aren't going to do full album reactions. ✌️
No turning back now! Keep em coming, loving it
definitely no turning back now haha!
thanks for watching!
One of my all time favourite bands. Here's hoping you stay on this journey : ) There aren't any bad tracks to pick, trust me.
Great reaction, brother! And yes, we are all blessed to be alive at a time to witness these brilliant musicians. 👍
The musical masterpiece this is, the lyrics are easily just as good here. Also, your beard is epic
I was looking forward to your reaction when the 'drum solo' part happened in the middle. I can tell from your understanding of rhythms and music and how you air drum that you have at least some knowledge of drumming. So, I knew that section was going to blow your mind!! Amazing!
Great reaction to a legendary banger. You should see the kids cover this. It’s pretty much unreal. If you ever get to see them live.. do it. I’ve emptied my bank account 5 times to travel to see them. It’s spiritual
thanks my friend appreciate the comment!
would love to see them live, hopefully one day!
will check out the cover also will be curious to see how another band covers this awesome song!
As a near 50 yr old, I’ve been with TOOL from the start and can tell you, I haven’t heard anyone that sounds ( or more importantly ) feels like TOOL.
They may as well be their own genre.
It’s music with genuine substance.
If you want an absolute banger, hit up Hooker with a Penis.. that there’s some genuine TOOL aggression.
TOOL may as well be their own entire genre of music.
Appreciate you and your reactions mate !!
I never get sick of this song and I heard it for the first time over 20 years ago. They are unique
You need to do Parabol + Parabola - they're two songs that flow into one another. You'll have an existential, visceral reactions to it.
"Stink Fist", "Right in Two", "Sober" and "Anema" are musts from, IMO, the very best Alternative Metal Band of all time!!!
My favorite kind of Tool 'love fest'
Anger at how good they are. Oh, so good.
Seen them live in the early 90’s in S FL,, that was back in their newer days and Maynard looked possessed.. they were top performers then and they have just gotten better.. great reaction dude
At once meditative and overwhelming-people report having religious experiences while listening to this song, likewise with Lateralus and Descending.
Across the board... stankface is a real thing with tool 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Please tell me you’ve listened to it again with lyrics. Excellent reaction 😊Tool are next level , welcome to the Tool army. You’re one of us now 🌀✌🏼🌀
Welcome to the army 🤘
This is my top 3 tool songs. It CHANGED ME!!!! I’m very happy to meet another Tool appreciator. Cheers
Tool has so many great songs that it's hard to pick a favorite
Love any time i see someone make the 😤😫 metal face
TOOL, the 9th wonder of the world. Thanks for sharing such a dramatic reaction with us!!
glad I came across them my friend and thanks for watching!
Another tool Soldier has been recruited. I know just how you feel felt the same way 30 years ago and still feel the same today!
Welcome to the fold. I've been listening to Tool for the better part of 20 years, and it gets better the more you listen.
Great reaction bro, from a fellow skippy. Yes you hit the nail on the head when you described floating in the ocean... totally understand your meaning. If you get the chance...Parabol/Parabola on mushrooms...or DMT at the least. You will pass thru this existence into a world of colour and shapes, with nothing but your own spirit and goodwill to guide you. I know it sounds stupid but if you try it, you will understand... anyway loved your honesty bro, hope you enjoy more of the TOOL journey!
thanks bro appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
haha never tried any of them but i trust what you're saying, considering I'm already high on life listening to them as it is!
much more Tool to come man this journey has only just begun!
You must be one of the funniest and best reactors when it comes to reacting to TOOL (gbost) and I’ve seen over 50 reactors. You crack me up with your expressions and choice of words. Keep it up brotha! Enjoy this spiral journey known as TOOL. Can’t wait to see more 🖖🏼 🌀 👽
I love your reactions, spot on! At 5:11 and so many others, I laughed bc I remember those exact feelings! I have been blessed to have loved Tool since 94, and I know this was mentioned already, but, I strongly suggest that you just go thru their discography in order, it's truly an amazing journey! You will still love them by jumping around, but I believe that you will get more out of it if you journey with them.
Love watching your Tool journey! May I suggest you try The Grudge out next? It is the opening track from Lateralus and is one of the most aggressive sounding pieces in their discography. More arranged madness! Thanks mate
You are the appreciation for all of us to watch ... The descriptions you convey are exactly the same as all of us, yet we love seeing the birth of a new recruit.. keep going
Love your reaction!!!!!! I have the same reaction every time I hear it and I've heard it a thousand times at the end of the song it's like tool is punching our faces to death and we tool fans love it and also you kind of look like Justin Chancellor the bass player for Tool🤘🤘🤘🙌
thanks Mike appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! I think i'll be having the same reaction with every listen haha!
okay i'm going to have to search him up and see the similarities haha!
When I watch these first time Tool reactions, it reminds me of that scene in Pirates of the Caribbean where Barbosa watches Elizabeth eat. “Here try the wine” “Now the apple,’ try the apple next”.
I simply think Tool is the greatest band of all time, all 4 are part of the best musicians of all time and they together form a complete masterpiece, just mixing all those weird tempos (shoutout to Danny Carey= best drummer ever) and different scales and making it sound that good just prooves how good they are.
Possibly my favorite Tool song. Keep going down the rabbit hole and keep Spiraling Out...
Brother...I love your reactions! You seemed disappointed that this was "only" 6 minutes. May I suggest you contrast this earlier music with their most recent. 7empest off of Fear Innoculum...just strap your seat belt on before reacting 16 minutes of perfection!
💯% agree!!! 😋
thanks man appreciate the comment!
16 minutes of perfection you say? you've sold me haha will be sure to check it out!
thanks for tuning in to the channel brother!
Hey bro great to see an Aussie reacting to my favourite band. I'm just up the road in Newcastle. Yes we are so freaking g blessed to have this incredible band. Been a fan for 30 years and I still listen to them every day. They without a doubt the best band in the world. Love you reactions brother. You want epic TOOL Check out 7empest, mind blowing song. Keep up the great work 🤘🌀🌀🤘
It's hard to pick a favorite TOOL song, but if I had to, this would be it. Brilliant. And it sounds so good live.
I absolutely LOVE your Tool reactions!! Keep them coming!

Got a new follower here bro!
Awesome to see you experience Tool for the first time.
Great work!
And hi from Brissy
in the late 90's i used to play this on a loop while i was working, dope album!!
Very awesome!!!! I have heard it hundreds of times been fan since 90s and it's awesome everytime only TOOL can do that! Rock on dude!
ooh my new friend thats the face of being blessed!
The definition of music. That is Tool.
Their 1st two albums are still my favorite
I love tool reaction videos... your the 1st ozzy I've seen...'chill' genre.... lol, dude that made me smile....digging you digging...will watch your others..... if you haven't already.... right in 2 ... lateralus, ... the noose(perfect circle).... I could go on.... enjoy the journey bro
This dude is awesome. Great reactions!
thanks man appreciate it thanks for watching!
I wish I could go back in time and hear tool for the first time again. So hard to find music on their level of musicianship and depth these days. Cool video man.
Ps, after seeing your reaction to Carey's solo I couldn't help but lose it with you.
appreciate the comment man thanks for tuning in to the channel!
Your tool reactions are fantastic! Wicked to witness your tool experience begin. I have been listening to them for 30 yrs and still listen every day. It's music for a lifetime. Check out Vicarious next. You'll love it
thanks man appreciate the comment!
will be sure to check it out!
Love your sense of timing. 👍🤓
There's a video of a bunch of very young kids from the O'Keefe Music Foundation doing a spot on cover of Tool's "Forty Six & 2" you should watch. They nailed it!
Welcome to the TOOL army, brother
Just found your channel from a Slayer reaction video. One of the better channels for this content I’ve found, you seem to know genres and music In general. Keep it up bro.
thanks for watching bro much appreciated!
This one is definitely a banger for sure. Honestly I think you can't go wrong with any track... my personal favorite currently is The Grudge.
What’s nice is that you are moving through the Tool Catalogue in reverse Chronology. If you want to keep going back in time, I would recommend you next try either Flood, Intolerance, or Undertow which are on the album titled Undertow. The original EP would be next and Sweat or Opiate would be my picks for that recording. Their newest album is called Fear Inoculum.
Love your reactions!
thank you!!
The mathematics of this song, somehow, make it sound even more dark and insane. 💯
Welcome to the Tool Army. Keep going! Don't forget to that the lyrics often have a deeper meaning as well. Maybe pull them up and analyze those as you go too:)
TOOL 4 LIFE 🎶🔧👁️🌀🪬🧘♀️🥰🤘🏽🎶🌀🙋🏻♀️
keep going !!!!!
You have embarked on one of life greatest journeys. Tool will change your life.
I think you and I are long lost brothers!!! Hahaha - same. Exact. feeling - when I hear this song. Every time 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can really see the pasion in your reaction. The accent makes it even better :)
PROUD SERVING IN THE TOOL ARMY
SINCE ‘93🤘
Always excited to watch another recruit be indoctrinated!
Welcome aboard Soldier!!
You must check out
INVINCIBLE, it is arguably their best song. I say arguably only because this is TOOL we are talking about.
Also TEMPEST is a must.
And for a more raw aggressive TOOL
Check out
TICKS AND LEECHES
Really digging your channel man! You got great energy!!
Keep it up bro
Damn you caught that chorus groove extremely quick, almost instantly saw your head snap into it. Nice
His face when the double bass drums drops!
He comments on the greatness of Danny Carrey BEFORE he even experienced the drum drop... Whooo
Then he rewinds it to totally ABSORB the genius and brilliance that is Carrey. Oh man.... You have just experienced God himself, bruh. Left completely SPENT.
TOOL is your inner spirituality spiraled into a nice gnarly knot. Youre just left trying to twist your way through it all. They truly are that great.
I have a list of Tool songs that are wholly spiritual to me while also being perfectly chaotic and intense, ha. This song is on the list, and I urge you to check out these Tool songs that are also very enlightening to me: Parabol/Parabola (both songs go together as one big experience), Descending, The Grudge, and of course the trilogy ( some call it the holy Trinity, ha) of the songs Disposition, Reflection, and Triad --- played together in one go they are on another plane! My fave Tool song is Descending, it's a long song but you become so lost in it it's like time ceases to exist, at least that's how it affects me! Oh and then there's Right in Two and Vicarious, both are magnificent!!
Yeah, the temporal trance is quite something with these guys. A 12 minute song can feel like five minutes.
