Im upset that the only lore channel standing up right now is Arch. Valrak, Leutin, Majorkill, and even Weshammer wont put their foot down and are only making it easier for GW

Makes sense. I mean Majorkill is a shill. Leutin is always too soft towards GW. and pretty sure Valrak is one of those people who stabbed Arch in the back way back in the day.

The reason for only 2/3rds stock rather then all of it is proberly from agreements when given the stock options its pretty standard to have clauses to prevent the dumping of all the stock at once
I don't know for sure but there might be provisions in the UK from a management member of a company from dumping all their stock at once. And that in the near future she'll dump the rest
Why dump any? can she see the stocks falling with what they have planned? because dumping stocks of a growing company that's aiming to go mainstream would be stupid.
I remember when a fandom I was a part of was infected with this kind of ideology. I was called every name in the book because I gate kept my fandom. It was taken over so much so that it became mud slinging for people who didn't follow the ideology and representation. I had to leave something I loved. I'm new to 40k, too broke to buy the figures but I loved the lore and books and I hope this fandom doesn't go the way of my last one.

I got into Warhammer about five years ago, I love the squishy lore stuff, and have dipped my toe into painting miniatures. The lore is extensive, the books are expensive, the models are a small fortune and the time investment on painting is huge. Not just slapping on paint but learning techniques and trying to have a model that doesn’t look laughable when you set it down.
Only hard core fans will be willing to invest in all of the hobby.
If they had been clever about the change I would have been angry at the change but I would have not boycotted their products. It’s the lie, the complete disregard of thirty years of lore.
This makes me wonder what next? What else will they change to fit a nonexistent fan base? How much more will they give on until nothing is left?
Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Star Trek and Doctor Who are all ash now. I would rather light the fire and burn Warhammer to the ground out of love than watch it crumble to apathy.
This is like getting a Netflix adaptation inside GW from GW. Live adaptations bomb across the board because of these decisions and usually signal the decline of a fanbase.

I lean towards it being BlkRks and VanGrd's financing move. Astonishing how wide their reach has become. Literally anything I involve myself in seems to bleed back to their influence.

Going to Warmachine and Hordes is to change a woke company to another, Privateer Press is gone. No good 3d printing files as well, and they've gone full 3d printing internally but not sells STLs. All the older models are also basically gone, because no one was buying new stuff so they needed to retire their own line in order to sell a newer one...
Wait. When did that happen. I started playing warmachine like a good 4-5 years back and never heard of that.

10:00 We know that codex printing start roughly 3-4 months before sale, so the time checks out.
It’s probably not a debacle…yet. I’m sure GW revenue is driven mostly by licensing fees etc from books and video games (especially). And any movie or show will do the same, in the short term. But when no one buys into their boring, woke world, they’ll have to pay the piper. By then, everyone driving this will have already cashed out.

It's sad that as soon as I get more into Warhammer (League of Votann player), it gets the Star Wars treatment....Thankfully, I got all my stuff off Ebay. I ain't giving GW a cent. I'm also glad to know which channels to trust now. Adeptus Ridiculous and Leutin, two channels I frequented besides Arch proved to be bitches and not defend their franchise and hobby. I've seen many of my favorite franchises get ruined. This is how it always starts....they try to appeal to the wrong crowd and/or to everyone and then it kills the franchise (besides the bad writing and shit retcons). Star Wars, Fallout, Lord of the Rings (to an extent), all got fucked.
OK this is the second source I think that has stated that most female players are go for xenos factions, specifically Nids and Orcs. Can a female explain why they prefer Nids or Orcs? Genuinely curious.
I don't collect Custodes, but updating the lore (although unnecessary) would have been far better than changing it and gaslighting everyone about it. At the end of thr day GW only survives if the customers are happy enough to keep buying things from them.
We now live in a world where 3D printers go brrrr, and buying a printer and everything else you need to print an army is cheaper than buying one from GW... and subsequently every print therafter is exponentially cheaper than GW.

Play older editions (heard the custodes got shafted in the new edition anyway). Print or get models from 3rd party vendors.
Is it OK to still buy stuff from other vendors? Like not directly from gw. But alot of sites do sell things for 20% off and such
I'm also curious. I haven't gone into a Games workshop in years, I get my stuff from a third party shop. I may have to start relying on ebay more.
@@ghostparty2062 yeah. I dont buy there paints much either. If you go for paints. Go for vallejo. Some of the best paints there are.
Vendors still have to GW a share, and many complain about getting screwed over by their partnership. But you should support your friendly local game store over GW anyway, even before this.
@utarefson9 I usually did buy stuff from other vendors. I mean. Lost interest when the manages shouted into my eat cause he was trying to be "funny". Have not gone into my local gw since then. Its been like 4 years since then

A good story would be able to fit female custodes in the lore.
Because a good story would look at how it would if in the lore, how would the world react to this, and would it even be worth telling.
You would have to ask how noble Terran families would react. Would they choose to send the sons if a daughter would be good enough?
Because I see the Terran nobles as greedy and corrupt, they would not give up any resources without it granting prestige or boons.
What we have here is agenda force in to a setting. It will never work because it not only breaks the lore and settings to work, but also ignores the darker nature of humanity.

@@alastor8091 I own an army of sisters of battle they are some of the nicest models GW makes. GW has ignored the sister of silence despite the fan base asking for new models for years and nothing, why is that? surely they could make more models and flesh them out? why haven't they?
This is my whole point fans of the lore are called bigots misogynists etc, this simply isn't true, we are the ones who have been calling for more female models the shoe-horning of something into the lore just to add representation is just stupid.
Why delete the history of something when all the needed to do was flesh out something already in the lore?
