i have one of these in my panigale v4s and can tell its a huge improvement from the Ducati OEM one - its so sensitive that i had to get used to not rest my foot over the shift lever because the quickshifter would pick it up. great product by Cordona
Has it improved the quick shift kill time when shifting from 1-2-3? I have the arrow slip on with t800up map and I get the lag when I shift from 1-2 to 3rd gears.
Thank you so much for the tip to tighten the rod/shiter thing with the 9mm tool ! I could not figure it out by myself, the instructions are really poor to be honest I do have a different version, 406 for Triumph street triple but it truly helped me !
I think the bike has absolutely no way to find out whether I'm shifting in standard or GP... it's only a mechanical change of direction... it will PULL in standard and it will PULL in GP shift... just your leg direction has changed
Not a ducati guy, but like your chanel. How does a new top of the line bike need upgraded quick shifter. Figure Ducati would make a fix if this is a common problem.
Tbh your average Italian bike consumer would probably be fine with the oem quickshifter. Just pushing it a bit a harder than intended and a lot of the stock QS need replacing at a certain point.
@@CaliMotoTV lol. You are definitely a ducati man. Coming from a bmw s1000xr rider. Sweet quick shifter. Just joking around, keep up your awesome work. Enjoy your track day
Awesome video just ordered one here in Australia as my standard OEM QS was not liking downshift blips. Can I ask how is this unit holding up now since your instal and test. Cheers Frank
I messaged Cordona.. the calibration is only for change Up/Down direction, it doesn't change speed or sensitivity, so it is completely useless to be done (doesn't matter if you have standard or gp shift). Basically it's plug&play for SFv4.
Bill thanks for the reply to the IG, Looking forward to your next video. 100% agree one of the few things I dont like about the SF is the QS I get false neutrals and is not as smooth as the BMW
Hey Bill! I installed exact same arrow slip you had before Termis on my panigale v4. I was wondering are you switching the shifter because you also get lag on quick shifts from 1-2-3 gears? The ignition kill time is too long on the original quick shifter right? Thanks
Good video. Thanks for posting. I have a '21 and rode a '20 with Cordona. The Cordona is better, but I'm debating the cost/benefit of swapping it out vs. putting up with occasional missed shifts.
Everyone has to decide that for themselves. The occasional mis shift maybe ok on the street, but when coming in hot on track it can cause quite the situation.
You running standard or gp as of now? This vid made my instal with the crap instructions simple haha I matched my length with oem and it deff had alot less threads showing then yours. Mines a 2021 great shifter though
Im trying to figure out why my pani V4S quickshifter is so clunky versus my R1. The R1 shifts one movement. The duc needs two movements, pull foot up to engage…but the shift isnt completed till i let my foot down.
I have the stock quick shifter on my SFV4S and I hate when it doesn’t shift on a hard acceleration, always feels like the anchors are on. Also get false neutrals too often. I’m interested to know if this mod will remedy the issues.
LOL bro Price of it is 4000$ go to ur dealer there is recalls on that...may be 4 u or go to Ducati website do u know that u Can send a mail to the pizzeria Ducati when u got a problem they will answer u or call u directly they did it for my Gear indicator
Don't know if you know this, the woolich flash gives you access to the quickshifter voltage and if you up the voltage slightly it makes for a smoother shift on the OEM...useless info I know
I get the improvement over the oem one. What is the different say from a dynojet and this Cordona? Any specific function that is better or probably the same thing?
@@robertwotring7318 yeah but is that really a bad thing? I mean dynojet is the leader in tuning and quickshifters. It can’t be worse, they have their reason as to why it has moving parts. They’re not stupid.
Okay... there's a Cordona Video... when it's in configuration mode (rapidly flashing), you have to keep pushing or pulling the pedal 6 times!! and on the 6th time just hold it... after that it will flash either 1 or 2 times depending on the final configuration... like you said 1 = GP Shift, 2 = Standard... so for GP Shift you would be pushing down 2nd, 3rd 4th 5th 6th etc... NOT 1st... the initial gear doesn't matter, it only puts it in configuration mode
I just got a 2019 V4R and going from 5th to 6th it acts crazy.. I bought this 2 weeks ago and plan on installing it tomorrow.. bike has 600 miles on it so its still considered new.. I was going to get the 600 mile service and it happened twice that day..

I have the 2021 V4S Stealth edition and still having the same problem. it got better but still I get false netrals specialty between 4 to 5th gear at high speed not a good feeling
I have the 2021 SF V4 and still had the false neutrals in the beginning. After i realised i had to shift more firm / harder, i haven't had any false neutrals

HERE'S THE FINAL INSTRUCTIONS - I have GP Shift and I have managed to put it in 1 flash - supposedly GP Shift mode, however this didn't work at all... it wasn't shifting!! Thankfuly nothing happened to my bike, just didn't shift. Like I said before there's no mechanical change of direction between standard and GP shift, so it ALWAYS have to be in the mode of 2 flashes!!! Also, your video didn't do any setup! :D The first lever pull or push after ignition will get this to configuration mode (rapidly flashing) - at that moment YOU MUST start pushing 2nd 3rd 4th 5th gear and then HOLD... and it will stop flashing, and then do final 1/2 flashes (always have to be 2 for Streetfighter), which confirms the setup! Your video in fact didn't do the last 2 flashes, so that configuration didn't happen at all, it simply turned off configuration mode. I'm so upset about Cordona, the manual is such a trash... they are selling specific Streetfighter unit, but gave universal instructions!!! Also the shifting is now a bit quicker, but didn't solve false neutrals for me, so kinda waste of money unless you're on track 100% of time.
