Thankyou for bringing up so many good points. What's sad is there are still plenty more reasons they're bad. I saw The Little Mermaid. They changed so many plot points, it didn't make sense. I assume for realism's sake, they made all the underwater scenes dark and murky, completely ruining the "treasure trove" scenes. Also, to add to your point, they had several "iconic" scenes replicated which at first was heart-warming (like the water splashing on the wave during the "Part of your world (reprise)" but ended up feeling "cheap" overall.
Perhaps that alone its their greatest weakness. The changes made, instead of enhancing or adding to the existing story, only weaken it or are flawed. Thus you not only make a film that its existence is questionable, but also, much worse off compared to its original.

Disney wants to make a prequel about Mufasa with the same CGI for the remake. I'm so excited to see him and Scar as cubs with no emotions as well as a grey Africa. Also, a remake for Hercules based on Tik tok will come. So...we're gonna see randoms videos of 4 seconds during the movie or it will happen in a city like New york? I hope not, it sounds really boring 😐
Yeah, they're just simply there to entertain for a good bit. And I hear the studio does use that big money to make other projects. But that's all the worth they have. I'll say this about the remake trend, though. It'll be like when Disney did the Direct-DVD sequels. There were so many, and a lot of them were unnecessary. And eventually, they faded away. This trend is simply that. A trend. Many come, many go. I still like the video, though. You do bring up good points. But to be honest, there've been so many videos about these remakes that they blend with each other seamlessly. Like the Live-Action Remakes themselves. We'll have to see what happens in the future. It's not even technically a "live action" remake if "realistic CGI" is used for all of the major characters. Putting CGI on top of live action footage is an interesting idea, and I'd like to see other people experiment with it, but Disney missed the mark. I haven't even bothered to see any of the remakes, but the awkwardness of "The Lion King" remake is amazingly obvious. Edit: As in putting something entirely CG on top of live-action footage for the entire movie, for every character. I'm not sure if the "Avatar" films count, even if we ignore the live-action humans, because several of the locations are CG. It's more of a realistic CG film, quite a bit of the time.

@lunastarz8703 Me too. The Aristocrats I am referring to is a joke by comedians that features a family act visiting a talent agency and performing all sorts of debauched and horrifying stunts and when asked the name of the act, they call it the Aristocrats.
The first live-action was 101 dlamatians with Glenn close... and a boring Jungle book one in 1996 if i remember. It was a good movie, the dogs were cute, the villains were entertaining and Cruella was awesome. Best part of the film 😄The sequel; 102 dalmatians was more goofy. There's an annoying parrot voiced by Eric idle, Chloe is boring but mr fantastic is here and he's a nice guy; he took care of lost dogs and play with them. That's so kind of him! Cruella is still scary and great, her butler is funny. It's not awful but not as good as the first one.
These remakes will be looked at in the same way as the bad direct to dvd sequels. THE BAD ONES!!! Not the good ones. Not The Lion King 2. No no no. MULAN 2 and Aladdin 2 Return of Jafar.

The only good Disney remakes are The jungle book and Cinderella. That's all. The others suck. Because unlike Cinderella or JB they don't bring anything new and are just copies of the old classic+ they completely misunderstand the messages of the original movies
The worst part of these remakes is that most of the CGI characters are cursed with a bad case of dull surprise, especially that Lion King remake.
