Not sure if you'll read this Andrew, but your regular Arsecasts have started to leave your Arsecast Extras in the rear view mirror for me in terms of quality, listen-ability and just everything. Tim's always been a great guest, and I for one really appreciate some of the interviews you have with some other guests, and especially people related to the club like Cesc a couple of years ago, David Dein this time around was a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the work you do. (long time reader/listener, first time commenter).
Wow, what a great interview. I was there on Monday and the Man has such a wonderful charm and charisma, its very subtle, not showy but just truly magnificent person to listen to. I only got through the first two chapters but in terms of his humour, I did chuckle bit where he is describing the state of the urinals when trying to push for the PL.
I remember a time on the Arseblog forums (I was Milky Ringbinder, for whatever reason...) when we all seemed to be anti Mr Dein. Age has happened, and I really can't remember why... He was such a big part of our success, even before Arsene. Thanks, Blogs, I really enjoyed this
I remember reading the news of him setting up "red and white holdings" Not long after he left, with the view to taking over Arsenal. I remember genuinely hoping and believing he would do it and return to the club.
Saw bits of 3 interviews. He literally said the same thing. Turns out he is pretty boring. Shame he set up internal board-ownership war. That cost us 10 years.
I think it is a matter of "road to hell being paved with good intentions" I think Mr. Dein made some strategic mistakes, but he saw the future of the sport and was trying to ensure that Arsenal were ahead of the curve. He was only trying to help, but yes, he did hurt us in the long term. Especially when he left in the manner that he did, left The Boss hanging to sort out the mess. He made a mistake, the best of us do.
Arsenal fans should be ashamed for the lack of protest of the KSE cancers , wenger protecting them also was shameful but ultimately the fans are a joke , I will never support or give any of my money to this ownership ! Arteta out , KSE out
45:00 was a bit weak from David. Being a company owned by a German parents company is a bit different from a country stoning homosexuals to death and the UK welcoming said country's fund to own a major football club in one of the uk's major cities. I appreciate arseblog is a David Dean fan as are a lot of people for the glory wenger years - as of course we all should be. But at certain times you simply have to push back as an interviewer. Here was such a time.
Great job Arseblog, I doff my hat in respect. You put in the work and bring quality content always

David Dein, what a magnificent football man and human being.

Thank you Andrew.
You’re a fantastic man, for getting Mr Arsenal in the building.
There is only one person who gets the "Mr. Arsenal" moniker good sir, and it is not David Dein.
Thank you Andrew for letting Mr Dein have a say. That said where was the Lana update?
Arsenal broke the mantra.
“Always do what Dein says.”
Thanks
Thanks Arseblog 👌👍
Southgate sellby date was up after last tournament.

I think his answer said more than any push back I could have made.
